Chapter 443: This is the Treasure Vault!

Rainfall Mountain is the gathering place for core members below the rank of Immortal.

Thunder Island is the central hub for all Immortals within the Virtual Universe Company, representing the highest concentration of power.

……

Walking through the public area, one could easily spot hundreds of Monarchs scattered around, each of them visible at a glance. Moreover, 99% of them had received recognition from the Origin Laws, each bearing various Origin Law Marks upon their brows.

“Monarchs recognized by the Origin Laws would be at the level of Tianchen within the Black Dragon Mountain Galaxy,” Luo Feng mused in awe. “Yet within a giant like the Virtual Universe Company, they barely qualify for entry into the ‘Apocalyptic Secret Region.’ There are probably over a hundred million Monarchs who can’t even enter the core levels!”

No wonder one of the three rewards for ranking within the top one thousand in the Genius War across the entire universe was the status of a core member.

Moments later, he arrived at a wide and tranquil bluestone path. Beside the path were flowerbeds where various plants and flowers formed words in the Universal Language — “Primordial District.”

“Beep!”

A faint glow shimmered around the thin elderly man’s body, and he could proceed no further. He cried out, “Your Highness, I can no longer advance. Ahead lies the Primordial District. Once you enter, there will be management personnel to guide you.”

“Thank you, Master Shawu,” Luo Feng smiled in acknowledgment.

……

Continuing along the beautiful and quiet bluestone path, he inhaled the fragrance of flowers and grass wafting from the sides, slightly quickening his pace. Half a minute later, he reached over ten kilometers ahead — the entrance to the Primordial District, which was incredibly vast and luxurious. Many servants stood at the entrance, and as Luo Feng approached, one of them, clearly the leader, stepped forward to greet him.

“Prince Luo Feng, I’ve been eagerly awaiting your arrival,” said a beautiful woman with a fox tail, her enthusiasm radiant. A flame-shaped mark was also visible upon her brow. “You may call me Fors, and I am in charge of managing all the affairs of the Primordial District.”

“I understand,” Luo Feng nodded.

In fact, within the Virtual Universe, tasks such as cleaning and trimming plants could be instantly simulated. However, perhaps for the sake of realism, everything here was 100% imitated. Even numerous servants were arranged specifically to clean and trim, to serve the Princes.

Hunger required buying food, thirst required purchasing drinks, and even purchasing real estate within the Virtual Universe required money — everything functioned exactly as in the real world.

Because of its extreme realism, in the vast universe, many wealthy individuals who were sheltered by ancestral legacies or had no real crises in life spent most of their time within the Virtual Universe, or in virtual games, doing whatever they pleased. To many of them, the virtual had long since replaced the real.

However!

Such a life of indulgence could only be enjoyed by a select few. After all, everything within the Virtual Universe required money, even maintaining an internet connection required paying fees. Without ancestral wealth or financial resources, one simply couldn’t afford such a luxurious lifestyle.

“Prince Luo Feng, please follow me,” said Madame Fors, a Monarch, smiling as she led the way.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Both soared into the air within the Primordial District. As one of the five major districts, the Primordial District was extremely vast, occupying one-fifth of the entire Rainfall Mountain — in other words, larger than Earth itself! Yet this vast area was inhabited by only over a thousand members.

“The Primordial District has 1,138 official members,” Madame Fors pointed below as they flew. “Within the Primordial District, there are many training areas, reading halls, dining halls, and so on. The residential area is located at the very back — 1,138 manors, each measuring 98 kilometers in length and 81 kilometers in width.”

Luo Feng listened in astonishment.

A colossal manor, 98 kilometers long and 81 kilometers wide — truly extravagant. This was the treatment afforded to the Primordial District, while the lowest-ranked Apocalyptic District housed its residents in dormitory-style buildings. The highest-ranked ‘Primordial District’ reportedly had residences spanning over a thousand kilometers in diameter.

“Prince Luo Feng’s manor is number 1136,” Madame Fors pointed toward a distant, serene estate, appearing quite ancient, its walls entwined with various plants and flowers.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

The two landed.

“Your Highness!” The manor’s gates were a hundred meters wide, with two six-meter-tall bull-headed giants respectfully bowing.

“Prince Luo Feng,” Madame Fors smiled, “As a member of the Primordial Secret Region, your personal guard unit is normally composed of a full cohort, consisting of one general, ten captains, and one hundred soldiers. The general is a Monarch recognized by the Origin Laws from the Apocalyptic Secret Region, the captains are ten Domain Lords, and the soldiers are one hundred Cosmic-level warriors. Within the Virtual Universe, they are stationed here with you, and in the real world, they will also protect you. They will follow your every command.”

“Hmm,” Luo Feng nodded slightly, though inwardly he was stunned.

Although he had heard about this from Ronjun before, seeing it in person was still overwhelming.

Two Domain Lords were merely serving as gatekeepers.

The leader of his personal guard was a Monarch recognized by the Origin Laws!

However, according to previously obtained information, the personal guard of a Primordial Secret Region member was far inferior to that of the Primordial Secret Region. The personal guard of a Primordial Secret Region member was led by an Immortal!

“Besides the personal guard, there are over a hundred servants within the manor to serve you,” Madame Fors smiled.

At that moment, a breeze blew, and a group of people suddenly appeared at the manor’s entrance. At the forefront was an elderly man resembling a human from Earth, balding. Upon seeing Luo Feng, he bowed and said, “Your Highness.” The large group behind him also bowed respectfully, shouting in unison, “Greetings to Your Highness!”

“This is your personal guard’s general, full name ‘Odoric von Saint Laisuo’,” Madame Fors smiled as she spoke.

“Your Highness may simply call me Odoric,” the balding elder quickly added.

“Odoric, I’ll be in your hands from now on,” Luo Feng politely said.

“It is my honor,” Odoric replied, his heart feeling at ease. In terms of status within the Virtual Universe Company, he was technically beneath Luo Feng, but after all, he was a Monarch recognized by the Origin Laws. The young prince before him, no matter how much of a genius, was not yet a true powerhouse. Perhaps he would perish before even reaching the level of a Monarch.

Madame Fors quickly added, “Prince Luo Feng, I shall take my leave now. Odoric is very familiar with everything within the manor and will explain things to you.”

“Thank you, Madame Fors,” Luo Feng nodded.

Madame Fors then transformed into a streak of light and instantly vanished into the distance.

“Your Highness, please,” Odoric led the way, and Luo Feng entered his manor.

……

Inside the manor, all one could see were green lawns, everything appearing natural.

“That,” Odoric pointed to a sealed, massive building in the distance, “is your training hall. The entire training hall is fifty kilometers long, thirty kilometers wide, and three hundred meters high, with an extremely durable floor.”

“Hmm,” Luo Feng nodded in satisfaction.

Even with his Dark Cloud Shuttle’s incredible speed, if the space were too small, he wouldn’t be able to fully maneuver. For a Controller, a space fifty kilometers long, thirty kilometers wide, and three hundred meters high was merely decent — acceptable. Of course, such a vast space was enormous for a martial artist. Want an even larger training hall?

You’ll need to enter the Primordial Secret Region. Members of the Primordial Secret Region even had personal ‘Immortal mentors’ permanently stationed to guide them.

……

“There is the swimming pool,” Odoric pointed to another massive pool in the distance. “The pool is divided into inner and outer sections. The inner pool contains special effects — lying in it can rapidly restore a tired body. It is divided into six zones based on water temperature. This setup is actually a simulation of reality. In the real ‘Primordial Secret Region,’ Your Highness’s residence will be even better.”

“Oh?” Luo Feng’s eyes lit up, then he shook his head. “Unfortunately, I still have to wait a long time.”

This interstellar journey of his would last three years. After returning from the Origin Universe, he might then go to one of the four secret regions — the Primordial Secret Region.

……

Odoric explained the functions of various buildings within the manor, then pointed to a quiet three-story building in the distance. “Your Highness, that is where you will reside. Inside the small building, you may customize everything to your liking through the virtual assistant.”

……

Within the manor, the first floor of the residential villa was for receiving guests, the second floor was for entertainment, and the third floor contained bedrooms, a study, and other resting areas.

Third floor.

Luo Feng entered the study and said, “Babata, do a bit of remodeling for me, adjust it to suit my habits.”

“Understood!” Babata, the virtual assistant perched on his shoulder, eagerly shouted.

For example, the network display screen was changed to a ‘laptop’ style familiar to Earthlings. Screens for watching news and entertainment programs were changed to resemble televisions. Even the books on the nearby shelves were instantly translated into Chinese. Chairs, beds, and other furniture styles instantly transformed.

“Now that’s more like it,” Luo Feng smiled as he sat down on the chair.

He flipped open the laptop screen in front of him, booted it up, and casually clicked on a folder labeled “Treasure Vault.”

Beep!

The Treasure Vault opened, and immediately eight major categories appeared on the screen: “Mystical Techniques,” “Weapons,” “Rare Treasures,” “Technological Weapons,” “Materials,” “Tools,” “Beings,” and “Other Special Categories.” Under each major category floated numerous subcategories. For example, under “Beings” were “Plant Life,” “Metallic Life,” “Beast Taming,” and so on. Under “Mystical Techniques” were various schools of thought.

Thousands of categories in total.

“Click on ‘Secret Region Treasures’ under ‘Rare Treasures,'” the fist-sized demon Babata shrieked.

“Alright,” Luo Feng lightly clicked.

Instantly, dense texts and illustrations filled the screen.

“Ten-Thousand-Soul Violet Blood Juice — 120,000 points per portion (70% for the Primordial Secret Region, 80% for the Primordial Secret Region, 90% for the Celestial Secret Region, and full price for the Apocalyptic Secret Region).”

“Seven-Color Eye Fruit — 100,000 points per fruit (70% for the Primordial Secret Region, 80% for the Primordial Secret Region, 90% for the Celestial Secret Region, and full price for the Apocalyptic Secret Region).”

“Klip Crystal — 200,000 points per piece (70% for the Primordial Secret Region, 80% for the Primordial Secret Region, 90% for the Celestial Secret Region, and full price for the Apocalyptic Secret Region).”

……

“Heavens! This is too luxurious, too unfair! Even your master would have to buy these items in limited quantities, each one auctioned off at sky-high prices. Yet here they are all available for purchase using mere points — what ridiculous points?” Babata screamed.

“Click on ‘Soul Mystical Techniques’ under ‘Mystical Techniques!'”

Luo Feng clicked again.

Titles like “Seven-Star Light,” “Eternal Indestructibility,” “Tower of the Void,” “Diers Secret Canon,” and others — each a famous mystical technique across the universe — appeared on the list like common goods, with at least ten thousand visible at a glance, and this was only the first page.

“Madness! Madness!”

“Out there, Immortals fight to the death for even a single treasure, while here the Virtual Universe Company offers them all for mere points? Points! These aren’t real money, they’re just internal points set by them!” The demon Babata was completely stunned.

“Click!”

“Click for me!” Babata shouted with wide eyes.

Obediently, Luo Feng clicked through various subcategories, each one more diverse and bizarre than the last. The Virtual Universe Company’s treasure list utterly shocked Babata. He had always known the Virtual Universe Company was terrifyingly powerful — a single Immortal like the Master of the Shattered Star Sea couldn’t even compare to a fraction of their might. Yet seeing it firsthand, even Babata was left speechless.
