Chapter 549: Transformation

In the Virtual Universe, in the Primordial Zone, Bolan’s training ground was a frozen wasteland covered in snow.

The snow was deep enough to reach one’s knees.

Bolan sat cross-legged atop the snow, his bare upper body exposed to the icy cold as he remained seated with his eyes closed.

“Bolan.”

A cold voice rang out.

Hua!

Bolan stood, snow cascading off him as he turned his head. A tall, thin man with narrow, snake-like eyes appeared amidst the frozen landscape, gazing down at Bolan. His entire body radiated fluctuations of the Laws. “Luo Feng has already passed the seventh level of the Heaven-Piercing Bridge. How does it feel? Disheartened?”

“Teacher.” Bolan slightly bowed, saying nothing further.

Members of the Primordial Secret Realm were specially assigned an Immortal to guide them, and depending on the member’s needs, they could even switch between different Immortal instructors!

The figure before him was an Immortal who had achieved the Marquis rank.

“Foolish. Ridiculously foolish.” The man’s cold gaze swept over Bolan. “Are you still foolishly clinging to your original path?”

“Teacher, I have reconsidered.” Bolan bowed again.

“Speak.” The cold man commanded.

“I confess, I was once prideful and brimming with overconfidence,” Bolan murmured in a subdued tone. “As for the cultivation of the ‘Cosmic Chaos Stele,’ I have resolved to devote myself chiefly to the mastery of Spatial Law.”

“This is the wisest choice!” A faint smile appeared on the cold man’s face.

It was like when parents make decisions for their children, and the children stubbornly insist on their own way. But later, when the children grow up, they often realize that the path chosen by their parents was indeed the right one.

The same logic applied here.

Bolan’s choices were often sagacious. In his youth, he outshone numerous formidable sages, his judgments unfailingly precise. Yet when it came to selecting which Chaos Monument to cultivate within the City of Chaos, those who counseled Bolan were no mere mortals—they were Celestial Immortals, some even Cosmic Sovereigns themselves, guardians of the cosmos who dreaded the fall of a prodigy.

How lofty were the perspectives of these Immortals and even the Cosmic Sovereigns?

Their long lifespans allowed them to witness the journeys of countless geniuses. Their advice was, in fact, something that could withstand the test of time!

Perhaps—

If Bolan had persisted on his original path, he might still have become an extraordinary Immortal after ten thousand, a hundred thousand, or even a million years. However, Luo Feng of the same generation would likely have already left him far behind.

“Your talent for space is the most astonishing I have ever seen.” The cold man said. “Even compared to the legendary geniuses of old, if we were to rank them solely by ‘Spatial Talent,’ you would be among the very best. Your current decision is wise! You should be grateful to have Luo Feng as a rival in your generation!”

“It was because of him that you were awakened,” the cold man added.

Bolan remained silent, but a peculiar gleam flickered in his eyes.

Luo Feng…

“If you’ve made your choice, then begin following my training plan,” the cold man instructed.

The ‘Monolith of Celestial Anarchy’ governed both the Void and the Epoch. Yet, across the unfathomable tides of time, how many ascendants ever achieved perfect equilibrium in mastering both realms?

Thus, there existed three sacred rites to nurture the ‘Monolith of Celestial Entropy’.

One was to focus primarily on Time, with Space as a secondary aid.

Another was to focus primarily on Space, with Time as a secondary aid.

The third was to cultivate both Time and Space in unison.

The third path, if successfully mastered, was the most extraordinary and monstrous of all. Previously, Bolan had chosen this third path. Now, however, he had chosen the path of Space as the primary and Time as the secondary.

Once the correct path was chosen…

The speed of progress became truly astonishing!

“Luo Feng.”

“Luo Feng, come quickly.”

“Freak, come over here with Wuka.”

Luo Feng was deeply immersed in studying the third volume of ‘Essays on Space-Time,’ when he received a series of messages from Wuka and Ronjun. The two were considerate, not wanting to interrupt his training, so they sent messages instead. His virtual assistant, ‘Babata,’ would inform Luo Feng of these messages at an appropriate time based on his training schedule.

“Why are they in such a hurry to find me?” Luo Feng chuckled, shaking his head.

Without delay, he shot out from the balcony, soared into the sky, and dove toward Wuka’s nearby villa.

Inside the living room.

Wuka and Ronjun were seated, with fine wine already placed on the table before them.

“The Freak is here.” Ronjun stood up.

Wuka was the first to rush out, grabbing Luo Feng in a tight bear hug as he approached.

“What’s going on?” Luo Feng dodged slightly, startled, and grinned at Wuka. “So enthusiastic?”

“Freak, you’re just too amazing.” Wuka grabbed Luo Feng’s hand and dragged him into the living room. Luo Feng saw the wine on the table, stored in a jade bamboo-shaped container. When he noticed the two complex characters ‘Thunder Rain’ inscribed on the bamboo, he was taken aback and exclaimed, “Wuka, you tightwad actually splurged on Thunder Rain Wine?”

In the real world, even a Zhenyan King would hesitate to drink Thunder Rain Wine casually.

Even in the Virtual Universe, a single pot of Thunder Rain Wine cost a staggering 32 Primordial Units! That meant drinking one pot was equivalent to consuming the entire wealth of a Domain Lord, or even dozens of star systems’ worth of territory! Among Luo Feng, Ronjun, and Wuka, Wuka was undoubtedly the wealthiest—after all, his father held an extremely high status.

Even so, he dared not spend recklessly.

“What’s a single pot of wine?” Wuka chuckled merrily as he twisted open the hefty wooden stopper of the jade-bamboo wine vessel, pouring Luo Feng a generous cup. The liquor shimmered with a translucent glow, its depths alive with countless glistening dewdrops, between which faint arcs of lightning crackled and danced.

Although Thunder Rain Wine had no real-world effects like altering one’s genetic structure or physical enhancements…

From the perspective of physical and spiritual sensations, it was identical. Drinking Thunder Rain Wine in the Virtual Universe was an act of extreme extravagance!

“Just a pot of wine—what’s the big deal? Brother, you’ve passed the seventh level of the Heaven-Piercing Bridge. That’s incredible! Cheers, cheers!” Wuka couldn’t help but exclaim.

“Uh, you guys already knew?” Luo Feng was surprised.

“Freak, you’re despicable.” Ronjun, who was savoring the Thunder Rain Wine with obvious delight, suddenly interjected.

“Yeah, despicable. You didn’t even tell us! Fortunately, Supervisor Bafen sent us all an email.” Wuka added.

“Damn,” Luo Feng’s eyes widened. “So Bafen actually…”

“Haha, that email was great!” Wuka continued. “You should’ve seen it—ever since the Virtual Universe Company sent out that email a few days ago, announcing some information about the Qualification War, the Primordial Zone, which had previously been relatively peaceful, suddenly became filled with tension.”

“Everyone’s fighting, afraid of being demoted to the Heaven and Earth Secret Realm!” Wuka shook his head. “Those old-timers looked down on us eight newcomers, which really pissed me off, so I often went to challenge them!”

“Challenge them often?” Luo Feng was surprised.

Wuka had only passed the fifth level of the Heaven-Piercing Bridge, while the thirty Cosmic-ranked elders included five who had passed the seventh level and twenty-five who had passed the sixth.

“What? Can’t I fight them?” Wuka snorted. “We Bolkans never admit defeat. Even if we lose now, we’ll come back stronger later!”

“They all thought they were so great, but in the end, I ended up injuring several of them.” Wuka sneered. “But that wasn’t the best part. The best part was when they saw that email, the one announcing that you, Luo Feng, had passed the seventh level.”

“You should’ve seen their faces—it was priceless.”

“Many were shocked, eyes wide open, some even shouting that it was impossible.” Wuka laughed heartily. “I was laughing so hard at them, and they couldn’t even respond. I felt so damn good about it, so I immediately bought Thunder Rain Wine to celebrate and reward our newbies’ top hero—our generation’s current number one!”

“The current number one.” Ronjun added with a slight smile, glancing at Luo Feng.

“Yeah, the current number one.” Wuka nodded.

Luo Feng smiled.

The reason he got along so well with Wuka and Ronjun was that they all shared a similar trait deep down—they never accepted defeat. Even if they fell behind temporarily, they wouldn’t lose heart; instead, they would keep pushing forward and improving.

“Wuka, Ronjun, I’m planning to take on more training missions next.” Luo Feng said. “But I don’t know much about training missions. Any advice?”

“The higher the difficulty, the more incredible the reward points.” Wuka said.

“I have some suggestions. I’ve already completed all ten mission quotas for this century.” Ronjun said. “These are things my teacher told me…”

The three began discussing their plans.

Luo Feng’s plan was to first pass the seventh level of the Heaven-Piercing Bridge.

Then, he would seize every opportunity to take on training missions, using real-world combat and the unique environments of various mission scenarios to hone and elevate himself! After experiencing the Blood-Net World, where he reaped tremendous benefits, Luo Feng no longer viewed missions as mere tasks.

Behind every mission world, there might be hidden great rewards.

It all depended on whether he could seize them.

Of course… he must act within his capabilities!

After a long chat, Luo Feng had a clearer plan for selecting his upcoming training missions.

“This wine is amazing.”

“This feeling is even more wonderful than the sensation of breaking through to the Cosmic level and experiencing a life transformation.” Luo Feng closed his eyes, savoring the simulated genetic changes and the comfort in his soul brought by the wine. Of course, all of this was simulated within the Virtual Universe. If it were real Thunder Rain Wine, even Wuka and Ronjun wouldn’t be able to afford it.

Only someone like a Zhenyan King or a Tonnan King—powerful beings who, after countless eons, might occasionally indulge in such luxury.

“I enjoyed the wine a lot. I should head to class now. Today’s lesson is taught by an Immortal King, and it’s very suitable for me.” Luo Feng stood up.

“Yeah, no need to see me off.”

“Go ahead.”

Wuka and Ronjun both lounged on the sofa, savoring the taste of the Thunder Rain Wine, clearly unwilling to rise.

One must give their all in cultivation, but during moments of luxury, one should fully immerse themselves in the enjoyment.

“These two guys.” Luo Feng chuckled, shaking his head, then transformed into a streak of light and shot into the sky.

At that moment, in another villa within the Primordial Zone.

“Today’s lesson will cover the integration of the Spatial and Metal Fundamental Laws. Luo Feng will definitely attend. Moilin, Ash… you two should also go to the class. Take the opportunity to find a reason to fight Luo Feng and test his strength. Learn some of his secret techniques so we can prepare accordingly. That way, during the Qualification War… it will be much easier!” said a man dressed in a silver-gray robe.
