Chapter 590: The Struggle for Supremacy

On a broad, ancient street within the public district of Yuxiang Mountain, the entire street was paved with black stone slabs. Luo Feng, dressed in casual attire, walked alone.

A moment later,

“Rong Zhuang!” Luo Feng looked up at a luxurious hotel before him, stretching several kilometers in length and width. Outside the grand lobby stood a group of beautiful attendants and handsome male receptionists.

“This is the place!” Luo Feng stepped into the hotel entrance.

“Prince Luo Feng, please follow me!” A female Monarch-level woman with a furry tail smiled and led the way. Luo Feng followed her into the hotel, stepping onto a floating staircase inside that swiftly carried them to the highest floor.

At the top floor of the hotel, an artificial lake had been constructed. Around it stood ancient trees, while in front of the lake sat a dignified, dark-gold dining table. Seven chairs surrounded the table, and from these seats, one could overlook the surrounding skyline, allowing for high-altitude fishing, swimming, and dining—an undeniably luxurious experience in Yuxiang Mountain, where countless prodigies of the Virtual Universe Company gathered.

Therefore—

The top floor of Rong Zhuang was usually reserved only for members of the Primal Secret Realm, or perhaps some powerful Immortal-level existences and high-ranking officials.

“Prince Luo Feng, I shall take my leave now,” the female Monarch bowed slightly and departed.

Luo Feng immediately noticed that although there were seven chairs around the dark-gold table by the lake, only one was occupied. A powerful man sat there, dressed in casual attire, his face covered in yellow fur, and his lips slightly curled to reveal fangs.

The werewolf Kurofu!

“Kurofu!” Luo Feng smiled as he approached.

The muscular man lifted his head, offering a rare smile, slightly raising his cup in greeting before falling silent again.

Luo Feng took his seat, pouring himself a drink from the shelves beside him and sat quietly, waiting. Soon, the door in the distance opened again, and the female Monarch with the furry tail entered, smiling as she led in a tall young man.

He was tall and powerfully built, walking as if a mountain itself had come to life. Wearing a helmet with bull horns, his eyes were deep and reserved.

As soon as he entered, his gaze locked onto Luo Feng.

“Longyun.” Luo Feng raised his cup slightly from his seat.

“Luofeng!” Longyun’s pupils slightly constricted.

Once a top contender in the Genius Competition, he had even gained entry into the Primal Secret Realm. Yet in the nearly two centuries since joining the Virtual Universe Company, he had been left far behind. He understood clearly—he had the least hope of winning this upcoming battle.

Longyun arrived.

Soon after, the alchemist Yufeng came, followed by Bolan. Finally, Moluo arrived.

“Everyone came earlier than me!” Moluo entered with a smile, wearing a simple golden battle armor, greeting everyone as he walked in, “Kurofu, long time no see! Yufeng!”

Kurofu, Yufeng, and the others nodded slightly in response.

“Bolan, Longyun!”

Moluo greeted them with a smile, then sat down. Finally, he turned his gaze to Luo Feng, eyes filled with amusement. “Luo Feng, among this new batch of geniuses, the one I admire most is you. Your progress is truly astonishing. It’s a real pleasure to see you again.”

“Oh, really?” Luo Feng sat there coldly, giving a brief reply.

Instantly, Kurofu, Bolan, and the others glanced at Luo Feng.

Moluo had greeted him warmly, but Luo Feng had responded with a cold face. This made them feel that Luo Feng was being overly indifferent.

“Whoosh!”

The sliding door at another part of the top floor suddenly opened, and a bald man in a silver-white, ornate robe strode in. It seemed as if the entire space brightened with his arrival. Smiling, he said as he approached, “Everyone’s here now!”

Swish!

Kurofu, Luo Feng, and the other five immediately stood up and bowed respectfully. “Lord!”

“Now that everyone is here, I will explain everything at once,” the bald man stood beside the table, not taking a seat, and smiled at the six of them. “The top three from the Primordial Secret Realm at the Cosmic level—Kurofu, Luo Feng, and Yufeng—and the bottom three from the Primal Secret Realm—Moluo, Bolan, and Longyun.”

“You six will engage in a battle competition!”

“The rules are simple. Each of you will fight the other five. A win earns you one point; a loss earns you none. The final rankings will be determined by total points.”

“The one ranked first will obtain the sole spot in the Primal Secret Realm and become a member of it. The remaining five will enter the Primordial Secret Realm!” the bald man smiled at them. “Is that clear?”

“Understood!”

The six of them replied respectfully.

“Good!” the bald man nodded. “Now I will arrange the order of the battles!” He pointed at the air before him, and a screen automatically appeared, displaying the names of Luo Feng, Kurofu, Moluo, and the others. Then the names began to shift and rearrange.

A moment later,

The screen displayed the battle order.

“This is your battle schedule!” the bald man said. “Each of you will fight five matches. There will be a total of fifteen matches. Take a good look at your order.”

Luo Feng quickly looked at the screen.

The screen displayed three matches at a time, clearly optimized for efficiency. His match order was—

Luo Feng vs. Bolan (First Match)!

Luo Feng vs. Moluo (Second Match)!

Luo Feng vs. Longyun (Third Match)!

Luo Feng vs. Yufeng (Fourth Match)!

Luo Feng vs. Kurofu (Fifth Match)!

“Everyone clear?” the bald man looked at the six of them.

They all nodded.

“Now that the formalities are done, you may all enjoy lunch together and get to know each other,” the bald man smiled and sat down. “The competition will begin tomorrow and will conclude within a single day.”

The six took their seats.

Soon, the hotel staff brought out a variety of delicacies, along with rare and precious wines and beverages. As they ate, they chatted. Moluo was the most enthusiastic, while Longyun occasionally smiled and spoke a few words. The others—Bolan, Kurofu, Yufeng, and Luo Feng—spoke little.

Normally, Luo Feng wasn’t a cold person, but seeing Moluo there, he felt no mood at all.

Yet Moluo didn’t seem to mind. He was naturally good at livening up the atmosphere, and his chatter noticeably enlivened the table. Even the immortal bald man sent by the high-level official of the Virtual Universe Company occasionally smiled and spoke a few words.

“Come on, Luo Feng, let me toast you,” Moluo stood up with a smile, raising his glass, looking expectantly at Luo Feng.

Silence!

Everyone at the table had already sensed Luo Feng’s coldness. All eyes were on him. This banquet was hosted by a high-level immortal official, so they all wanted to avoid an awkward situation.

“Sorry, I don’t feel like drinking,” Luo Feng said calmly, holding his glass.

Moluo, standing there with his glass raised, frowned slightly, clearly embarrassed.

“We’ve been through a lot together. A toast from me should at least be acknowledged, right?” Moluo frowned. “Not even a sip? How about this—drink this glass, and we’ll forget all past grudges?”

Forget?

Luo Feng looked up at Moluo briefly, then lowered his head and continued eating, completely ignoring him. Although he had a deep enmity with Moluo, in the Virtual Universe Network, he couldn’t kill him. And with a high-level immortal official present, Luo Feng had no intention of getting into a conflict with Moluo.

“Not even a toast?” Moluo’s voice dropped.

The others at the table sensed something was off.

Yet Luo Feng continued to ignore him.

“Bang!” Moluo slammed his glass down hard on the table, his face dark with anger. He pointed at Luo Feng and roared, “Luo Feng, every time I see you, I feel a surge of rage. Back at the Muyin Mountains, you ambushed me and nearly got me killed. I’ve hated you ever since! But considering we’re both members of the Virtual Universe Company, I didn’t want to hold a grudge. I offered you a toast to put the past behind us. But you—”

“Ambush?” Bolan, Kurofu, and the others at the table were all surprised.

Luo Feng suddenly lifted his head, his face dark with fury, glaring at Moluo.

Moluo glared back with a mocking smile, secretly feeling triumphant. “From watching the battle videos, Luo Feng is indeed strong—stronger than Yufeng! He’s a real threat to me. So I’ll provoke him now, make him furious. Tomorrow, during our fight, a few more taunts will ignite his buried anger. Once his mind heats up, he’ll only be able to use seventy to eighty percent of his strength. That’ll make it much easier for me to win. And once I beat Luo Feng, I can focus all my efforts on defeating Kurofu.”

Moluo had calculated Luo Feng’s psychology perfectly.

Because in the Virtual Universe Network, Luo Feng had no way of exacting revenge. Also, Luo Feng had no evidence—maybe there were recordings of the incident. But with current technology capable of creating 100% virtual reality games, any recording could be forged. Those wouldn’t stand as proof.

“Get angry!”

“Get furious!”

“Let me make you so enraged you can’t do anything about it in this Virtual Universe Network. Wait until tomorrow on the battlefield, when your mind is unstable—you’ll definitely lose!”

Moluo was confident.

“Boom!!!”

At the top floor of Rong Zhuang Hotel, beside the lake’s dining table, Luo Feng, who had been silently furious, suddenly and without warning threw a powerful punch from just a few meters away. Moluo didn’t even have time to react before Luo Feng’s heavy fist smashed into his face. His nose shattered with a crack, his teeth flew out, and his face caved in instantly.

Boom!

Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack!

Moluo’s limbs were instantly broken!

Luo Feng’s speed was incredible—just like the time Moluo had suddenly attacked him with a sneaky kick. Both were close-range strikes.

“Boom!” Moluo was sent flying backward, crashing into a thick tree. With a thunderous crash, the tree snapped, and Moluo fell to the ground, his limbs broken and muscles torn beyond resistance.

In an instant, Luo Feng leapt onto Moluo, his fists a blur, furiously pounding Moluo’s face!

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Each punch landed with bone-crushing force, each sound echoing with fury!

As he straddled Moluo and pounded his face, Luo Feng shouted in rage, “Damn you, you despicable bastard! I’ve never met someone as disgusting as you in all my years! What if I beat you up? What if I beat you up? I won’t be able to calm this anger unless I punch you!”
