Chapter 1483: The Disappearance of the Jin World

The Primordial Ancestor’s expression was complex: “You both want to know the reason I was sealed away, right?”

Luo Feng and the Chaos City Lord listened attentively.

“In the beginning, I rose rapidly,” the Primordial Ancestor said slowly. “Even during the first and second reincarnation eras, no one could rival me. Roaming across the Cosmic Sea, I was already invincible at that time.”

“But I always remained wary of the two holy lands. Although I considered myself invincible, I never became arrogant enough to claim I could rival the ancestors of these two holy lands,” the Primordial Ancestor continued. “I kept wondering why the ancestors of the holy lands never emerged. Even if they had transcended the cycle of reincarnation and achieved true invincibility, they wouldn’t have remained confined within their holy universes forever. Unless… they couldn’t come out!”

The Primordial Ancestor said, “At that time, I suspected that entering the cycle of reincarnation was a conspiracy!”

“A conspiracy?” Luo Feng and the Chaos City Lord were shocked.

“Back then, I assumed it was all a scheme orchestrated by the Will of the Origin,” the Primordial Ancestor remarked. “But after being sealed away, I came into contact with the Supreme Laws. Only then did I realize how gravely mistaken I was—the entire Cosmic Sea operates under the Supreme Laws! The Will of the Origin merely governs everything within the primordial universe; it absolutely lacks the authority to compel anyone into the cycle of reincarnation. It simply doesn’t possess that power…”

The Chaos City Lord frowned: “But teacher, once one reaches the Void level, isn’t one required to enter reincarnation within a very short time?”

“Correct,” the Primordial Ancestor replied. “That is a restriction imposed by the Supreme Rules.”

“Only the Supreme Rules can issue mandatory commands to True Gods and even higher beings,” the Primordial Ancestor explained. “After being sealed for so long, I finally understood. The Will of the Origin could never force anyone to go somewhere. If it could, it wouldn’t have needed so many schemes to force the Sovereigns like Yuan’ao or Zhenjia to go to the Three Absolute Death Zones and die there.”

Luo Feng nodded in understanding.

Indeed.

He had discussed this with his teacher, Situ Shanke. Clearly, the Will of the Origin was not something to fear—it couldn’t harm a True God. As long as one didn’t violate certain Supreme Rules.

“I was sealed,” the Primordial Ancestor continued, “because I violated the Supreme Rules, which allowed the Will of the Origin to seal me. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have had that power over me.”

“How did you violate them?” Luo Feng and Chaos asked curiously.

The Primordial Ancestor smiled: “At that time, I was wary of the Will of the Origin and suspected it was the hidden hand behind everything… So I tried every means to investigate and search for clues. Gradually, I discovered that the Will of the Origin itself wasn’t very intelligent—it only possessed the most basic intelligence. It must have been a fragile will born from the essence of the primordial universe.”

“Fragile?” Luo Feng and Chaos were stunned.

“Yes,” the Primordial Ancestor nodded. “The Will of the Origin itself is very fragile. It only exerts immense pressure by relying on the essence of the primordial universe.”

“At that time, I didn’t want to enter the cycle of reincarnation, fearing I would be permanently bound,” the Primordial Ancestor explained. “So I devised a plan… to destroy the Will of the Origin and let my own will become the Will of the primordial universe.”

“What?”

Luo Feng and Chaos were both shocked.

Wasn’t that possession?

In fact, Luo Feng had previously realized through his own experiences that the Will of the Origin itself possessed no actual power—it even had to rely on subordinates to eliminate beings like Yuan’ao. Many of its actions were executed through the Ancestral God Sect. Luo Feng had even contemplated taking control of the primordial universe. However, it was merely a passing thought, as he hadn’t yet devised an effective method to accomplish it.

“Therefore, I created the ‘Virtual Universe’ technique,” the Primordial Ancestor smiled. “My Virtual Universe and the real universe were like two sides of the same coin… completely compatible.”

“Since I was a lifeform within the primordial universe, the primordial universe did not resist me.”

“When my will spread throughout the primordial universe via the Virtual Universe technique… the final confrontation with the Will of the Origin began,” the Primordial Ancestor said.

Luo Feng and Chaos were completely stunned.

The Virtual Universe, created in its earliest form, had actually been intended for possession!

“But I was wrong,” the Primordial Ancestor sighed. “At that time, I was narrow-minded, making judgments based on my own calculations. But in reality, I was terribly mistaken… My attempt to seize control of the primordial universe fundamentally violated the Supreme Rules! Therefore, the Supreme Rules punished me, causing me to lose that final battle and be sealed away.”

“The punishment by the Supreme Rules allowed me to come into contact with it, and only then did I vaguely understand many things.”

Beside him, Luo Feng and the other two were completely silent.

Incredible.

The Primordial Ancestor had actually confronted the Will of the Origin, suspecting it was the final hidden hand, identifying its weaknesses, and devising the ‘Virtual Universe’ technique to later seize control of the primordial universe, nearly succeeding.

“No wonder the Will of the Origin was unwilling to release you back then,” the Chaos City Lord remarked. “It must have required Luo Feng to resolve the Beast of Destruction catastrophe and earn great merit before the Supreme Rules allowed your release.”

Luo Feng’s mind stirred.

Hmm…

The Jie Shou side and the primordial universe side represented destruction and life, respectively. They were absolutely opposed.

Whichever side won seemed to receive favor from the Supreme Rules.

Clearly, the Supreme Rules treated both sides equally. If the Realm Beast side ultimately prevailed, they would naturally destroy everything. If the primordial universe side won, Luo Feng, as a great contributor, was also recognized by the Supreme Rules.

“But it’s still unfair,” Luo Feng thought to himself. “When the Jie Shou Kings reached the Void level, they weren’t forced to enter the cycle of reincarnation. Yet we, the True Gods born from the primordial universe, must enter the cycle of reincarnation once we reach the Void level.”

“That’s right.”

“The Beast Kings are on equal footing with the primordial universe, belonging to the highest echelon.”

“We, the countless lives born from the primordial universe, are relatively lower in status and face greater constraints.”

In the Cosmic Sea, the highest status belonged to the primordial universe and the King of Realm Beasts.

As for the countless lives born from them, even if one was a monstrous anomaly like Luo Feng, reaching ten thousand times the life hierarchy and receiving worship from countless beings, one was still slightly inferior to the primordial universe and the Beast King. This made Luo Feng feel very pleased, for he had actually enslaved a Beast King.

After the catastrophe of the Realm Beasts, the entire Cosmic Sea returned to peace.

The miniature universes of the first and second reincarnation eras were utterly annihilated. Although Haimaster had defected to the Beast God faction and Morosha survived, logically speaking, Haimaster’s miniature universe should still have existed. However, to prevent the news of Morosha’s ascension as a Monarch from leaking and arousing suspicion, once Morosha became a Monarch and before confronting the Purple Moon Holy Land, he was commanded to obliterate Haimaster with a single thought—and that miniature universe was likewise destroyed.

(Note: Adjusted “王者” to “Monarch” as a more natural English equivalent for a supreme ruler in this context, while maintaining the original meaning. “Zi Yue Holy Land” is transliterated as “Purple Moon Holy Land” for readability, assuming “紫月” refers to color/moon symbolism. The term “界兽” is rendered as “Beast God faction” to convey the monstrous/otherworldly nature implied by the original term.)

In the peaceful years, time passed quickly.

In the blink of an eye, tens of thousands of epochs had passed.

“Every era, the membrane wall of the Jin World turns white once,” remarked the newly ascended Cosmic Lord of the Yao Clan, the Haixing Master, as he steered his palace toward the Jin World.

It was rare for powerful beings to visit the Jin World after long intervals.

“Huh?” Haixing Master was astonished as he stared into the distant void.

“Could I have taken the wrong path?”

Haixing Master suspected he might have come to the wrong place. He carefully cross-referenced the Cosmic Sea map and checked the surrounding landmarks.

“No, this is definitely the location of the ‘Jin World’. Where is that colossal entity? Has the Jin World disappeared?” Haixing Master was shocked beyond measure.

Boom!

Like a storm, the news quickly spread throughout the entire primordial universe. The powerful beings of all races learned of the Jin World’s disappearance. Within less than half a day, Luo Feng was the first to arrive after Haixing Master.

“Why is it gone?” Luo Feng, clad in silver armor, carefully examined the distant void. Long ago, the suspected enormous corpse of the Jin Divine King had been floating there.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

Luo Feng immediately began teleporting to search. Not only Luo Feng, but all the powerful beings of various races were searching. However, no matter how hard they searched, they couldn’t find the Jin World anymore. Clearly, during the past tens of thousands of epochs, the Jin World had quietly left. Since no powerful beings had visited for a long time, no one had noticed until Haixing Master decided to go out and hone himself.

“My divine projection is still in the Jin World,” Luo Feng stood in the void, frowning in thought.

Deep within the endless reaches of the Cosmic Sea, a colossal entity was flying at an unimaginably terrifying speed.

Inside it, within the Jin World, on an island in a lake at the Manghe Army Camp of the Eastern Army, Luo Feng’s divine projection was present. Nearly an epoch ago, his main body learned that the Jin World had disappeared. The divine projection only then realized that it was no longer in the same region of the Cosmic Sea but had arrived in unfamiliar territory.

“Where has the Jin World gone?” After waiting for nearly an entire epoch, the moment finally arrived when the cosmic membrane turned white.

Piloting a warship, Luo Feng’s divine projection instantly burst through the cosmic membrane. He was extremely curious about the depths of the Cosmic Sea and wanted to leave the Jin World, exit that colossal entity, and see where he was.

Boom!

He directly rushed out of the Jin World’s small universe.

“Where is this—” Luo Feng’s divine projection looked out from within the warship, only to be instantly engulfed by endless flames. The divine warship was instantly annihilated, and so was Luo Feng’s divine projection.

In the Milky Way Holy Land of the primordial universe.

Luo Feng was training his son, Luo Hai: “I’ve told you, I can’t help you. If you don’t experience it yourself, no one can help you! Yes, your comprehension might be a bit worse, but nothing is absolute in this Cosmic Sea. There’s always a glimmer of hope… Hmm?”

“Father?” Luo Hai asked cautiously.

Luo Feng frowned and turned his gaze toward the endless void, as if piercing through unfathomable distances, murmuring: “Instant annihilation? Fortunately, I used up most of my battle merits against the Beast in the last encounter!”

Although he didn’t know exactly where the Jin World had gone, it was clear that the Jin World was still intact, with countless lives continuing to thrive inside.

“To face the Beast calamity, the Golden World arrived,” Luo Feng pondered. “The Golden World, the Source… these were all faint hopes for the primal universe side. Now that the Beast calamity has passed, the Golden World has quietly departed.”

Luo Feng could understand.

The Jin World contained remnants of the ancient civilization, after all, since its inhabitants were descendants of that ancient civilization. If the Jin World had remained, future reincarnation eras would have easily gained access to ancient civilization inheritances, which obviously couldn’t be allowed.

“I wonder when I’ll see the Jin World again,” Luo Feng murmured silently.
