Chapter 293: Dongbo Xueying’s Deadly Move

Dongbo Xueying couldn’t believe it and launched several more attacks consecutively.

The silver figure’s body flowed slowly, showing no sign of injury whatsoever!

“A demigod whose body could withstand my ultimate penetration?!” Dongbo Xueying was deeply shocked. Had someone claimed this back in the Xia Clan’s world, he would never have believed it. Yet this General Kumo from the Dark Abyss had just done it! Such a body was outrageously monstrous. If Kumo was already this strong, how terrifying must Lord Youlan be?

“Still not enough power,” remarked Chen Jiu, the leader of the Blood Blade Tavern’s team watching from afar, nodding slightly with a faint smile. “Dongbo Xueying’s ultimate penetration should be at the peak of the second realm. If he could break through to the third realm, or if he could wield a divine artifact, he might stand a chance against General Kumo. But as it is, his attack falls just short of the threshold.”

Even the mightiest of demonic forms had their boundaries.

Dongbo Xueying’s strike had clearly fallen just short of that threshold. Once he reached it, he could wound General Kumo. And once he could wound him, repeated strikes would assuredly kill him.

“Don’t blame him for lacking strength,” interrupted the bald elder clad in golden robes. “That demigod from the Abyssal Darkness wields an extraordinarily formidable demonic physique. Even we wouldn’t dare to face such an assault with our bare flesh.”

“We may not be able to withstand it, but we don’t need to,” retorted the bearded elder defiantly. “I have my own methods. With my mastery over illusions, he might not even be able to locate my true form.”

“But you couldn’t hurt him either,” the bald elder chuckled.

Chen Jiu nodded. “We’ve more or less figured out Dongbo Xueying’s strength now. He’s quite impressive, balanced in all aspects. Though he can’t use divine artifacts, his combined mastery of true intent makes him formidable. He should be on par with Old Fu and that old scoundrel. Perhaps even a bit stronger when it comes to survival skills.”

The bearded elder and the bald elder in yellow robes both nodded in agreement. Though each possessed their own unique methods, they had to acknowledge that within the Void Realm—especially after entering Scarlet Mountain—Dongbo Xueying displayed far greater endurance than either of them, even in the face of peril.

“A fine ally,” Chen Jiu smiled. Initially, he had wanted to bring Dongbo Xueying along purely out of personal sentiment. Now, however, Dongbo Xueying had proven himself to be a valuable ally, and Chen Jiu was quite satisfied.

“Trouble for the Xia Clan,” remarked the Meishan Master, watching from a distance. “Dongbo Xueying may be strong, but he can’t match Lord Youlan and his companion! And Lord Youlan won’t give up easily. One of his subordinates has just died, so he’ll keep demanding divine scrolls. The Xia Clan might have to fight to the death.”

“Brother Wuhuang, will you help the Xia Clan?” the white-robed girl’s eyes sparkled with anticipation. “You always used to help the weak.”

“Little brother, will you intervene?” the black-cloaked man asked urgently. “Lord Youlan’s strength is unfathomable. Besides, we have no enmity or competition with him here in Hongshi Mountain. Our priority should be completing the World God’s mission.”

“I understand the gravity of the situation,” the Meishan Master smiled. “But don’t underestimate the Xia Clan either. If they decide to fight to the death, they won’t be easy opponents. If the Xia Clan offers me some benefits, I might consider helping them. After all, Lord Youlan seeks divine scrolls, and if we can obtain more, it would greatly benefit us within Hongshi Mountain.”

The black-cloaked man nodded without objection this time.

“Brother Wuhuang, can you sense Dongbo Xueying?” the white-robed girl asked quickly. “We can’t detect him, and it seems Lord Youlan and his men can’t either. But surely your true intent can?”

The Meishan Master cast a fleeting gaze upon her and responded through the arcane whispers of the mind, “Merely a wisp of awareness. My dominion over the complete Spatial True Intent grants me unparalleled sensitivity to the fabric of space and the echoes of the Void Realm. Yet, the presence of Dongbo Xueying drifts upon the edge of my perception like mist upon the wind. Should he ascend to the third realm of Void True Intent, even my sight would be veiled from his passage.”

“Oh,” the white-robed girl sighed in relief, smiling as she telepathically replied, “Good. An enemy completely invisible would be terrifying. Since you can sense him, we have nothing to fear.”

Throughout the entire battle,

Only a long spear could be seen thrusting out from the Void Realm, with Dongbo Xueying himself completely invisible.

This naturally made them all feel a sense of dread! Truly a terrifying assassin!

All factions were discussing the battle, and from this fight, they had all assessed Dongbo Xueying’s strength and the threat he posed. They had also realized that this battle was about to end. Dongbo Xueying might be able to kill some suppressed, era-dominating prodigies that he had an advantage against, but General Kumo was beyond his reach.

Now they were more curious about—

How the Xia Clan would respond!

“Xia Clan, Dongbo Xueying can’t save you!” Lord Youlan gazed coldly at the dark Dingjiu warship hovering in the distance. “Nuo Nuo’an has died, and his treasures have been taken by Dongbo Xueying of the Xia Clan. But if you hand over thirty divine scrolls, I can pretend this never happened. I can even forgo Nuo Nuo’an’s treasures! However, if you refuse to hand over the divine scrolls, then Nuo Nuo’an’s death will be avenged upon the entire Xia Clan!”

Lord Youlan’s voice was icy, filled with unshakable killing intent.

The leaders of the other four teams remained silent.

Come on.

The forces of the Abyssal Depths were already formidable. Based on available intelligence, this Lord Youlan had mastered the True Essence of Temporal Deceleration. Undoubtedly, he wielded another formidable combat-oriented True Essence as well. The fusion of these two… no warrior would willingly face such an adversary. After all, in the heat of battle, the disparity in temporal flow would place them at a severe disadvantage!

Rumors spoke of Lord Youlan’s ability to extend his arm across dozens of miles—far surpassing even the colossal silver titans, suggesting he might also possess a terrifying demonic physique! Such an opponent was nothing short of a nightmare. Once locked in combat, none could claim assured victory, and the specter of death loomed ever-present…?

Without sufficient benefits, who would risk their life for the Xia Clan?

Moreover, they each had received orders from great existences behind them. For them, the most important thing was still Hongshi Mountain!

“Cursed!”

Inside the Dingjiu warship, the atmosphere among the Xia Clan’s demigods was completely frozen.

“Everyone, what should we do?” Master Taishu frowned. “Xueying has done his best, and his strength has exceeded our expectations. But we have no choice; the enemy is too strong.”

“We cannot hand over thirty divine scrolls!” Master Heshan frowned.

“Cursed! How can he manipulate the tides of time?!” Master Chen’s agitation deepened. No matter how formidable the treasures of the Xia Clan might be, they were wielded by mere demigods—their might could never rival that of true deities! Under the deceleration of time… their dread-inspiring power would inevitably wane.

“I’ll count to ten! If you delay any further, every human in the Xia Clan’s world will die!!!” Lord Youlan’s eyes blazed with terrifying golden light, his voice echoing across the heavens.

“One!”

The Xia Clan’s demigods aboard the warship all felt their hearts tremble, exchanging glances with each other.

The leaders of the four teams outside were watching this spectacle, none of them speaking. Though the Meishan Master had his own plans, he naturally wouldn’t rush to speak up unless the Xia Clan sought his help first.

“Two!”

“Three!”

“Four!”

Lord Youlan coldly uttered each number.

“What should we do? What should we do?!”

“Let’s fight! Sacrifice everything and take him down!”

“A moment of recklessness could lead to countless losses and bring about the doom of our entire clan!”

The Xia Clan’s demigods were nearly driven mad.

Would they truly have to bow their heads?

It was more unbearable than death!

“Nine!” Lord Youlan’s voice was cold, his aura growing heavier.

“Boom!”

Suddenly, a terrifying ripple appeared.

Whether it was Lord Youlan, the four distant teams, or the Xia Clan’s demigods aboard the Dingjiu warship, all turned their gazes toward the source of the disturbance.

A long spear pierced forth from the Void Realm! The weapon shimmered like molten fire, its haft wreathed in swirling crimson mist as though forged from the very essence of the Netherworld.

At this very moment!

Lord Youlan and the others vaguely seemed to see a massive star, covered with flowers, trees, flying birds, and running beasts. This enormous star suddenly expanded, emitting dazzling light, then collapsed violently! The dazzling light rapidly imploded and contracted, instantly condensing into a single ‘point’. This ‘point’ seemed like the beginning of all things, yet also the end of everything.

This single point, radiating an indescribably terrifying pressure, came crushing down!

“Pop!”

The spear pierced through General Kumo’s forehead, and Kumo’s eyes widened in terror.

Crackling sounds echoed~~~

His entire body was like sand, instantly completely shattered, then vanished into nothingness, leaving only some divine artifact gloves and treasures floating down.

General Kumo was killed in one strike!

Lord Youlan, Wu Ma Hai, the Meishan Master, the Sword Emperor, Chen Jiu, and every other observer, including the Xia Clan’s prodigies aboard the Dingjiu warship, were all stunned beyond belief, staring with mouths agape.

“Hmph.”

The spear that had impaled General Kumo’s forehead remained embedded, its shaft trembling with residual power. Then, from the shimmering veil between realms, a youth clad in white robes stepped forth—his arrival silent as moonlit snow, yet carrying the weight of shattered dimensions.

White-robed Dongbo Xueying, his face filled with murderous intent, held the long spear in hand and waved it to collect the treasures left behind by General Kumo.

“Just you’re left!” Dongbo Xueying looked toward the distant Lord Youlan, his voice calm, yet the few words carried an unshakable, intense killing intent!
