Inside the fortress of Ice Iron Star.
The spacious hall was carpeted with pristine white fur, upon which a man was frolicking with two beautiful women.
“Come here, my beauty, give me a kiss, mmm…” The man’s face bore faint purple scales—he was a great serpent who had ascended to godhood, naturally lustful by nature. Moreover, the lifespan of a deity was long, and countless god-level beings would never hope to advance to the realm of a World God. Many such deities indulged in unrestrained pleasures instead. As a commander of Black Bone Mountain and the highest authority on Ice Iron Star, his power and influence were immense.
“Commander! Commander!” A guard rushed in, shouting urgently.
“Can’t you see I’m busy?” The purple-scaled man’s gaze swept over, carrying a hint of anger.
“Commander, someone has intruded!” the guard said anxiously.
“What?”
The purple-scaled man’s expression changed. He immediately stood up and waved his hand, causing an image of the outside to materialize in midair. A young man in star-blue robes was swiftly flying toward Ice Iron Star from the void.
“How audacious.” The purple-scaled man snorted coldly. One of the beauties beside him obediently brought over a chair, and the commander sat down, his robes casually open, half-baring his chest. He sneered, “Peak god-level? Just one person dares to trespass on Black Bone Mountain’s territory? Truly seeking death.”
His confidence was not unfounded. Black Bone Mountain was indeed a small force in the grand scheme of the Divine Realm, but it was still a faction backed by a World God, dominating the Celestial Starfield. Ordinary peak god-level beings were mere ants before Black Bone Mountain.
“My mining slaves already number over a thousand at the peak god-level. It seems we’ll have one more soon,” the commander said with a cold laugh.
“Commander, could this intruder have some background? He wouldn’t dare trespass without some backing,” the guard said hastily.
“Relax,” the commander replied calmly.
…
Whoosh!
Dongbo Xueying, sensing he had been detected, no longer concealed himself. He transformed into a streak of light and crashed onto the surface of Ice Iron Star. The icy, resilient ground cracked slightly under the impact as he stood there, gazing at the massive fortress ahead and the resting Mo Lou Beast sprawled before it.
Suddenly, a spectral head appeared in the sky above Ice Iron Star—the illusory visage of the purple-scaled man.
“I am the Seventh Commander of Black Bone Mountain. This is our territory. May I ask why you have trespassed onto Ice Iron Star, friend?” the purple-scaled head asked.
“Revenge,” Dongbo Xueying replied coldly.
“Seeking death!” The spectral head sneered before dissipating.
He couldn’t be bothered to ask who the revenge was for—Black Bone Mountain had countless enemies.
The Mountain Master of Black Bone Mountain, after becoming a World God, had been stuck at the first Heavenly Layer with no hope of advancement. Later, he obtained a powerful black skeletal body and transferred his divine heart into it, thereafter adopting the title “Black Bone Mountain Master.” His skeletal form was immensely powerful, and with such strength, his aggression knew no bounds.
But then again…
The world of deities was cruel. Slaughtering mortals was looked down upon, but killings among gods and World Gods were commonplace.
“Another fool blinded by hatred,” the purple-scaled man sneered from his seat in the fortress hall, watching the scene unfold. “Thinking he can take us just because the Mountain Master isn’t here? Countless have come seeking revenge against Black Bone Mountain—all ended up dead.”
“Commander,” one of the beauties cooed, clinging to his arm. “Ignore that fool. Let’s continue playing.”
The other beauty pressed closer.
“Hahaha, watching a bloody fight isn’t bad either,” the commander chuckled. “The Mo Lou Beast guarding Ice Iron Star was personally selected and raised by the Mountain Master during his trip to the Prefecture City. It’s incredibly powerful among god-level beings, with a body so tough its hide can withstand immense force. A single slap from it can shatter an ordinary star! Crushing a peak god-level is child’s play.” He grinned. “Watch how the Mo Lou Beast tears this kid apart—maybe even eats him bite by bite.”
“Mmm.” The two beauties nestled against him as the commander watched coldly and confidently.
“It’s awake! The Mo Lou Beast is awake!” one of the women suddenly exclaimed.
They all turned their attention to the illusory projection in the hall, where the seemingly dormant Mo Lou Beast on the icy surface had indeed opened its eyes.
…
“It’s awake! Look, look!”
Aside from the commander, many members of Black Bone Mountain responsible for vigilance—even some overseers—were called over to spectate.
“Come quick! An outsider is here for revenge against Black Bone Mountain! He’s about to fight the Mo Lou Beast! Hurry!” More than half the fortress’s members, except those who couldn’t leave their posts, gathered to watch.
“That kid isn’t running even after seeing the Mo Lou Beast wake up?”
“Does he think he’s a World God, fighting the Mo Lou Beast?”
“Hahaha… I bet the Mo Lou Beast will eat him alive!”
The Black Bone Mountain members watched the scene projected by the surveillance formation, thoroughly entertained. Stationed on Ice Iron Star for so long, they were bored—this was rare excitement.
…
Dongbo Xueying watched as the massive beast before the fortress gate slowly rose. Covered in thick fur and vaguely humanoid, resembling a bear, it stood on all fours, its golden eyes coldly fixed on him.
“ROAR—!” The awakened Mo Lou Beast let out a deafening bellow, stirring violent winds and shaking the ground.
The gale howled past.
A newly ascended deity would have been torn apart, but Dongbo Xueying stood firm.
“Kill him! Kill him!” The commander in the hall watched eagerly.
“Eat him! Eat him!” one of the beauties cheered as they watched excitedly.
Whoosh!
Dongbo Xueying extended his right hand, gripping a fiery red spear. In an instant, he shot forth like a meteor toward the Mo Lou Beast. The entire Ice Iron Star was under the suppression of formations, preventing him from teleporting—he could only rely on pure speed.
The Mo Lou Beast reared up on its hind legs, massive palms raised high, golden eyes locked onto Dongbo Xueying as overwhelming killing intent radiated from it. As a specially bred creature of the Divine Realm, it was born capable of attacks infused with the mysteries of cosmic laws. Though it couldn’t cultivate or grow stronger, its innate power was terrifying.
“BOOM!”
Dongbo Xueying’s spear streaked across the sky like a thunderbolt, expanding to over a hundred meters as it slashed down.
The Mo Lou Beast swung its colossal palm with devastating force to meet the strike.
Spear and palm collided.
“BOOOOOOM—!!!!!”
A catastrophic shockwave erupted in all directions.
The Mo Lou Beast’s right palm twisted grotesquely under the spear’s impact before the weapon continued its arc, smashing into the beast’s skull. The massive creature staggered backward, its shattered paw hanging limply. Its golden eyes widened in disbelief as it stared at its mangled limb.
“CRACK—!!!”
As the Mo Lou Beast reeled, the fiery spear struck again—this time directly on its head. The skull caved in, and the colossal beast swayed before collapsing with a ground-shaking thud.
Inside the fortress, from the commander down to the spectating Black Bone Mountain members, all stood frozen, jaws slack at the sight of the fallen Mo Lou Beast.
A single exchange. Two spear strikes. And the Mo Lou Beast was down?
How?
“Report to the Mountain Master! We must report this!” The commander snapped out of his daze, face paling. He immediately activated a communication treasure. “Mountain Master! Ice Iron Star is under attack! A peak god-level intruder just defeated the Mo Lou Beast in two strikes! Yes, just two spear blows—it’s already down!”
