Chapter 441: Wrath

The Second Prince had been inviting the top ten from each generation of the Divine Court’s Myriad Flower Banquet ranking battles—those with great reputations and extensive connections. After managing things for so long, would he allow something to happen to Dongbo Xueying at a banquet he personally hosted for the top ten? Whether it was something as extreme as his wife being forcibly taken or the couple being driven to self-destruction, would the Second Prince, in all his dignity, just stand by and let it happen?

How would the other ranking battle elites attending the banquet view it?

What would the past generations of top-ten ranking battle experts think?

The Second Prince had spent ages winning people over—would he tolerate a madman ruining it all? His earlier persuasion was likely just to make Dongbo Xueying believe he was truly in a hopeless situation, probably waiting for the right moment to intervene and earn his gratitude.

This was what Dongbo Xueying was most confident about.

Besides, in the Divine Realm, both he and his wife were merely avatars! How could some worthless, spoiled brat dare insult them? If he gave face, the man was General Ying. If he didn’t, he was just a worthless fool!

Turning hostile?

What if he did? Would Venomous Ying, the World God, dare come kill him?

“You’re quite clever, aren’t you?” The silver-robed General Ying glared at Dongbo Xueying. “A Material World Lord? Boundless potential? What does your future have to do with me? My true self’s divine heart is on the verge of collapse—do you think I fear you?”

“You don’t fear me,” Dongbo Xueying nodded. “But do I fear you?”

“Good, very good!”

General Ying, his eyes wild, watched the swirling particle currents around them. The entire hall was suppressed, and his subordinates couldn’t act. This only fueled his madness. He looked up at the Second Prince. “Your Highness, do you truly intend to stop me?”

“Brother Ying, why make such a scene? If this escalates, the Divine Court’s Myriad Flower Banquet will have to be reported to His Majesty,” the Second Prince shook his head. “I’m only trying to help you.”

Suppressing him outright while claiming to help—General Ying had no retort.

In truth, the Second Prince despised this madman.

What he cared about was the banquet!

He couldn’t let a lunatic ruin it!

“Fine.”

General Ying gritted his teeth, turning back to Dongbo Xueying. “Dongbo, just wait. Once we’re out of this hall, you’ll see what I do to you.”

His eyes reddened with fury. He had never been humiliated like this before—only he had the right to trample others! Even the Second Prince wouldn’t dare treat him this way! Already half-mad, the humiliation pushed him further into frenzy.

“Aunt, Aunt, I’m going insane! I’m being humiliated to death!!!” General Ying frantically messaged his aunt. His father? His father was still at the Divine Court, serving as a guard for His Majesty, the Bloodblade God-Emperor.

Venomous Ying, the World God, was currently a guest at the Long Clan’s estate, resting in a chamber. Her massive black tail coiled lazily across the floor—when alone, she saw no need to restrain herself.

She wasn’t human.

Neither was her brother, nor General Ying. They were Divine Realm creatures, with rare offspring and generally low comprehension. Among their kind, only she and her brother had truly risen. Her brother had only two descendants, at best raised to the Deity level—far too weak to withstand the erosion of time.

“Hmm?” Venomous Ying’s expression twisted into something terrifying. “This Dongbo… has quite the nerve!”

Whoosh.

She vanished from the estate.

Back in the hall, the banquet resumed after the Second Prince’s intervention.

“Xueying, General Ying is completely unhinged. What if he attacks us on our way back?” Yu Jingqiu whispered telepathically.

“Don’t worry,” Dongbo Xueying replied. “If he hadn’t made those threats, there might’ve been trouble. But now? The Second Prince will ensure our safety.”

Yu Jingqiu nodded slightly.

Across the hall, General Ying sat silently, drinking, his eyes occasionally flickering with madness.

Dongbo Xueying sighed inwardly.

Though he disliked the man, he pitied him.

Even the most arrogant young masters—like the Young Master of Feiyun Lake—wouldn’t dare act recklessly at such an event, especially knowing Dongbo Xueying’s status.

General Ying might’ve been spoiled, but to reach Deityhood, he must’ve had some rationality.

But now?

A madman on the verge of divine heart collapse had no reason left.

“Who dares?!” A roar echoed from outside.

Boom!

A terrifying aura surged into the hall.

Everyone shuddered as an ancient, malevolent presence entered. A yellow-robed woman strode in, her cold gaze sweeping the room. The Second Prince paled and stood hastily. “Senior Venomous Ying!”

The woman’s eyes were serpentine, her presence suffocating.

Venomous Ying, the World God.

Her most infamous feat? Poisoning the Fourth Heaven World God, ‘Puzang Emperor,’ forcing him to retreat in agony. Her mastery of curses was unmatched in Anhai Prefecture.

“You’re Dongbo?” Her gaze locked onto him.

“Senior Venomous Ying,” the Second Prince tried to interject.

“Silence!” she snapped.

The Second Prince stiffened awkwardly.

Dongbo Xueying understood—he couldn’t rely on the prince anymore.

The Second Prince’s power came from his father’s influence and his connections.

Venomous Ying?

She relied on herself.

Absolute strength needed no backing.

“I am Dongbo Xueying,” he stood. “Greetings, Venomous Ying.”

“Begging for mercy now is too late,” she sneered, her slit pupils flicking to Yu Jingqiu. “Your wife is quite beautiful. No wonder my nephew took a liking to her.”

“I address you out of respect for your strength, not to beg,” Dongbo Xueying said coolly. “As a Material World Lord, I’ve no need to grovel.”

The air froze.

Tension thickened.

“He struck me over a dozen times! Even you and Father never hit me!” General Ying howled. “I’ll make him regret this!”

“Don’t worry,” Venomous Ying purred. “Auntie will handle it.”

“You dare act so boldly before me?” She raised a hand, her aura crushing down on Dongbo Xueying and Yu Jingqiu.

“I won’t touch you—but your wife is coming with me,” she smirked. “What can you do? Even if you’ve sworn to a mighty figure, so have I.”

Those who reached the Third or Fourth Heaven could easily pledge themselves to a mighty master.

“Senior Venomous Ying—” The Seventh Plum Rain Prince tried to intervene.

“Prince Plum Rain, stay out of this,” she cut him off, then glared at Dongbo Xueying. “You think you’re untouchable? Watch as I take her. Before me, she won’t even have the chance to kill herself. She’ll be my nephew’s plaything.”

Dongbo Xueying’s eyes burned with icy fury.

He had thought General Ying was just a madman on the brink of collapse.

But Venomous Ying—a Third Heaven World God—was just as unreasonable. To her, he was nothing.

“Senior,” he said softly, “some lines, once crossed, can’t be uncrossed.”

She laughed. “You? A mere ant, threatening me? Even as a Material World Lord, what could you possibly achieve?”

With a wave, Yu Jingqiu was yanked toward her.

Dongbo Xueying’s rage boiled over.

Fine.

If she forced his hand, he’d summon a mighty figure.

As a Paragon of the First Grade True Intent, he could call upon one. To avoid suspicion, he’d ask Crimsonfire Patriarch—a close ally of the Reddust Sacred Lord, who had once saved Yu Jingqiu.

Summoning a mighty figure was simple.

Just speak the name.

He hadn’t wanted to rush this, but Venomous Ying had gone too far.

“Hahaha! Dongbo, you think you can defy me?!” General Ying cackled madly.

Whoosh—

Suddenly, countless white sand grains materialized, swirling through the hall with overwhelming pressure. They wrapped around Yu Jingqiu, forcing Venomous Ying back in alarm. She summoned a strange trident weapon.

The sands coalesced into a plump, white-robed man with a twirled mustache.

He stroked his beard, smirking at Venomous Ying.

“Venomous Ying… quite the temper, eh?”
