Chapter 1131: The First Strike of Hunyuan

Though he had been teleported back to the head of the iron chain bridge, Dongbo Xueying remained cautiously vigilant, with the majority of his focus still fixed on the *Seven Strikes of Hunyuan*. He couldn’t suppress the excitement surging within him—this was a supreme secret inheritance! Even among the ultimate-level Cosmic Gods of the Heart Realm Continent, let alone the strongest invincible existences, those who had obtained such a supreme secret inheritance could likely be counted on one hand.

Moreover, even if one obtained a supreme secret inheritance, it could never be passed on to others!

No matter how illustrious one’s background—even if they became disciples of Emperor Xia, Patriarch Fan, or the Lord of the Infinite City—none of them could ever receive a supreme secret inheritance!

For him to obtain such a tremendous opportunity upon his first entry into the ‘Heart Realm Palace’—while his own comprehension played a part—he still had to thank City Lord Luo for gifting him the ‘World Flower.’

“Supreme secret inheritance…”

“Truly eye-opening… utterly eye-opening!”

Dongbo Xueying carefully studied the detailed information of the supreme secret inheritance in his mind. Compared to it, the techniques he had acquired before were insignificant, as if they weren’t even on the same level.

“Now that I’ve merged six paths, I’m considered quite formidable among second-tier Cosmic Gods. Yet, in the face of the *Seven Strikes of Hunyuan*, my current foundation is barely enough to begin learning it—just barely enough to hope to master the first strike!” Dongbo Xueying marveled inwardly.

The *Seven Strikes of Hunyuan* began with utilizing the power of Hunyuan in combat!

Hunyuan power was the fundamental force of a higher-level world.

Only by glimpsing and touching that higher realm through the Void Path could one borrow ‘Hunyuan power.’ Techniques like the *Doppelganger Art*, *Boundary-Breaking Teleportation*, *Great Boundary-Breaking Teleportation*, and even *Inquiry of Hunyuan*—all of these were methods of utilizing Hunyuan power through the Void Path. Among them, the most dazzling was undoubtedly *Inquiry of Hunyuan*, created by Emperor Xia.

But—

Compared to the *Seven Strikes of Hunyuan*, personally crafted by the Hunyuan powerhouse ‘Meta,’ *Inquiry of Hunyuan* fell far short.

Even Dongbo Xueying, a mere beginner in the *Seven Strikes of Hunyuan*, could immediately identify countless areas for improvement in *Inquiry of Hunyuan*! With some refinements, the difficulty of cultivating *Inquiry of Hunyuan* could be greatly reduced. Yet, this only deepened his admiration for Emperor Xia, for it was only after learning the *Seven Strikes of Hunyuan* and understanding its more exquisite and effortless methods of utilizing Hunyuan power that he could make such improvements.

Standing at the head of the iron chain bridge, Dongbo Xueying revealed a look of joy after just over two hours.

He gently waved his hand.

*Whoosh!*

A mist-like haze appeared before his palm, within which countless spatial fissures seemed to exist. If magnified billions of times, one could see wisps of Hunyuan power seeping through these cracks, only to naturally transform into countless microscopic spaces within the haze—spaces so tiny they were nearly imperceptible to the naked eye. Billions of these minute spaces, each formed from Hunyuan power, were incredibly stable. Yet, as the haze rippled, each space collapsed in succession. The destruction of billions of spaces within the confines of this ‘haze’ generated an utterly terrifying force of annihilation.

The mist trembled slightly before imploding and vanishing within itself.

In that fleeting instant, the membrane of the source world was first torn open, channeling vast amounts of Hunyuan power to form these microscopic spaces. These spaces completed their cycle of ‘creation and destruction’ in a single moment! The chain reaction of billions of spaces collapsing amplified the force continuously. Outwardly, its power was invisible—but anything it touched would be annihilated alongside it.

The First Strike of Hunyuan—*Rippling Mist*!

“What an incredible technique,” Dongbo Xueying murmured in awe.

“If I forge a weapon specifically tailored to this, I could roam freely across the entire Heart Realm Continent!” His eyes gleamed with anticipation. The method for crafting such a weapon was included in the supreme secret inheritance. As long as he followed the steps meticulously, forging it wouldn’t pose much difficulty—aside from the rarity and cost of the materials.

“And this is only the first strike of Hunyuan—the utilization of Hunyuan power is simply too exquisite! The subsequent strikes grow increasingly terrifying and powerful.” His eyes burned with excitement.

Especially the last two strikes of the *Seven Strikes of Hunyuan*—those were techniques meant for true Hunyuan powerhouses. Even if he reached the ultimate level of a Cosmic God, he would still need a specialized weapon to unleash the final linked strikes. Otherwise, the first five strikes alone represented the pinnacle of what a Cosmic God could achieve!

*Whoosh.*

Dongbo Xueying strode forward, heading straight for the distant hall.

This time, he encountered no dangers along the way and soon entered the hall.

“Finally inside a hall,” he mused. From the outside, the Heart Realm Palace appeared as an endless expanse of interconnected halls and pavilions, yet this was his first time stepping into one of its chambers.

The hall was eerily silent, its doors wide open.

Dongbo Xueying stepped inside cautiously, surveying his surroundings. The walls were adorned with portraits—each depicting an armored alien being, their appearances bizarre and varied.

*Boom—*

He turned to look behind him. The hall’s entrance had sealed shut.

*Whoosh… whoosh… whoosh…*

Without a sound, the alien figures from the portraits stepped out from the walls, emerging into the hall. Their gazes locked onto Dongbo Xueying—thirty armored aliens in total. With savage grins, they roared in unison: “Daring to trespass into the Heart Realm Palace? Prepare to die!”

Dongbo Xueying understood—he had now officially entered the outermost hall of the Heart Realm Palace’s inner sanctum.

*Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!*

All the alien guards sprang into action. Some transformed into bolts of lightning, charging toward him. Others vanished, only to materialize right before him. A few dissolved into mist, enveloping the area, while others stood at a distance, weaving intricate spells.

*Whoosh.*

With a mere thought from Dongbo Xueying, the hall was suddenly filled with a vast, billowing mist—countless microscopic spaces forming within it. Dongbo Xueying himself vanished without a trace.

“There he is!”

The alien guards spotted him.

The white-robed youth, ‘Dongbo Xueying,’ stood within one of the countless tiny spaces inside the mist, smiling at them from within.

*Flicker… flicker… flicker…*

His figure appeared and disappeared erratically, shifting between the microscopic spaces as if teleporting at will.

In truth, he *was* traversing the void.

This was a slight variation of the First Strike, *Rippling Mist*. Dongbo Xueying had realized that *Rippling Mist*’s manipulation of internal spaces far surpassed the *Red Cloud Combat Art*. By altering its application, he prevented the spaces from collapsing, instead using them as points for instantaneous movement.

*Thud.*

From within one of the tiny spaces, a pale hand reached out, striking an alien guard squarely on the back. A denser patch of mist erupted upon impact, trembling violently before annihilating—taking the guard with it.

“Damn it!”

“Quick, he’s there!”

“Kill him!”

“No, no—this isn’t working!” The alien guards growled in frustration, unable to catch him. Even their wild attacks could only destroy a fraction of the countless microscopic spaces.

*Thud! Thud! Thud!*

Dongbo Xueying continued appearing unpredictably, striking out occasionally. Each touch either annihilated his targets outright or left them grievously wounded.

In less than a single breath, all the alien guards had dissipated.

The mist filling the hall vanished, and Dongbo Xueying reappeared. He glanced at the portraits on the walls—the alien figures within glared at him, their expressions filled with resentment.

*Rumble…*

The rear door of the hall swung open.

Dongbo Xueying smirked, then walked along the side, exiting through the rear door.

Outside lay an elegant corridor.

The winding passage branched into numerous pathways, connecting to other halls.

“Now *this* is what a palace should look like,” he mused. After a moment’s consideration, he chose a corridor at random and advanced. After a short while, he suddenly whipped his head to the left, sensing a disturbance in that direction.

“A battle?”

He proceeded cautiously, navigating through the labyrinthine corridors until he arrived at a vast garden.

Peering through the garden’s entrance, he spotted five figures inside—among them were two experts from the Xiawind Ancient Nation: ‘Great Master Pus’ and ‘Swordfiend Overlord.’ The other three hailed from different ancient nations. The atmosphere in the garden was tense, almost frozen, and the five overlords wore grim expressions.

“Hm?” Sensing his presence, the five overlords turned their gazes outward in unison.

“Yingshan Xueying?”

“It’s him?”

The five overlords were visibly surprised.
