Within the rolling clouds, the Azure-Scaled Eagle shivered at the sight before it — the *Suanni* had returned to life. Moments ago, countless beasts had warred over its carcass. And now, this resurgence sent terrifying shivers through the entire battlefield.
“Illiyaa, how did it come alive again?” the child Xiao Buked (Little Rascal) scratched his head, utterly baffled at this spectacle.
Simultaneously from the forest came a world-shaking beastly roar. The ferocious Devil Ape raged — a limb torn away had sent waves of excruciating pain through its form, causing blood to spill wildly from its wound. Though crippled, it surged with wild determination, launching a single strike towards *Shi Yun Feng*, the *Beast Sovereign radiating golden brilliance.*
*Shi Yun Feng*, the aged, noble-born *Beast of Thousand Years*, displayed no sign of age — a sudden flicker of his frame, and he had already leapt a hundred meters backward, vanishing for an instant. Before the Ape’s mighty punch slammed into what was left of the shattered half of Zi Shan Kun (Purple Cliff), mountains fell as if touched by divine wrath. Its momentum was unstoppable — one mighty bound and it soared two hundred meters above ground, preparing to break away and flee. Even enraged as it was, it knew this elder Suanni remained the ultimate predator.
*Shi Yun Feng*’s pair of golden eyes gleamed with icy cruelty. A sudden surge of stormlike aura engulfed it, with bolts of golden lightning flashing forth — in a deafening *Crack*, a blast struck the Devil Ape’s back.
Letting a deafening roar — “AWWWHH—!!!” The demon ape howled at an earsplitting pitch as its body convulsed involuntarily, and blood sprayed over ten *Chi* high — pierced through like a sieve by yet again a powerful, divine-like spell of the ancient *Suanni Race*. Wounds riddled its front and back, turning chest to open blood gash — this once supreme terror now crashing to ground helplessly. Yet, undeterred by its state, with only but the one remaining arm, the demon bared its bloody teeth. With fierce focus and *Glyph* radiating violently across its entire being, it invoked a powerful treasure spell of its lineage — attempting, in one final act, to strike back.
At the other side, the Red Ember *Ox Demon of the Flames of Li Huo* ignited his entire form crimson, fur glowing like the surface of a living bonfire. Wild-eyed yet wary — this beast too had no true intent to clash to the death against the legendary *Beast Sovereign*. With Glyphs blazing fiercely across its hide, it intended to break away and flee. Unfortunately — fate did not look kindly towards the *Li Huo Clan*:
The aged *Suanni* released piercing beams from the abyss-like cores of those cold golden pupils of his. Rumbling like distant thunder and exploding in tandem, the light spears slammed against the Ox Demon’s form — breaking every glowing rune encasing him and drawing gashing crimson lines that marred his entire hide.
An agonizing and angry *”MUOOO——!!!”* tore the skies — thirty *Meters* long and flaming head to foot, the giant crimson bovine surged skyward, standing on two hind legs. Focusing the pure inferno within its body through its open maw, an explosion of blazing crimson radiance scorched forth, devouring the cliffs to molten slag. In that single eruption, countless beasts, birds, beasts alike were reduced to nothing more than scattered ash — their final screams never even escaping.
Snarling furiously, *Shi Yu*feng flared brighter, the luster of its Golden Skin shining more powerfully than ever, a beacon of radiant destruction. Blinding torrents of gold swept the air, transforming the entire blood-stained earth into an ocean of radiant fire-strength, pushing back the consuming waves of fire like a golden tempest. From the distant rolling clouds, small *Beast Rascal* muttered to himself:
“It’s clear. The *Suanni* only pretended death — a scheme, a trap set in order to annihilate both vengeful rivals — it came out to invite both Ape King and the Flame Demon in its own claws. Truly… the *Suanni’s* are not creatures of just feral might — it is their intellect that surpasses many men.”
Fierce, ear-splitting roars resonated, clouds mingled with electric arcs as these three ancient species — relics of prehistoric times — entered the apex of their duel, shaking heaven and earth across vast reaches of the wild lands. Across the forms of the immortal *Shi Yun Feng*, of the infernal *Ox Demon* — *”Li Huo Nu Mo”*, and the fanged titan emperor — the *Great Demon Primate*, glowing sigils twisted and coiled like serpents of flame-light, forming networks across their skin, the very air cracking as their *Treasure Spell* powers built to eruption.
*”THUNDERCRASH—!!!”*
The soundwaves broke with such a tremendous *BOOM* again and again — akin to divine thunderfalls from the heavens above. The skies were lit with iridescent light — lightning danced amidst the cloud-fog maelstrom. As the three titans collided in ultimate force, land cracked open violently, and all felt like the End itself descending.
“Phkchh—!” The Demon Ape flew sideways — ejected from amidst *Shi Yun Feng’s* golden light — blood spilling from multiple wounds, unknown how many bones shattered amidst his flight through the air — his strength barely managing escape the *Cloudy Surge Aura’s influence*.
Yet he landed with a thundering *Thud,* one of the demon’s powerful feet cracking the stone as it launched itself off again, wings spreading like dark tempestuous stormclouds and dragging a whirlwind of pitch-black gale with it, plunging into the depths of the wilderness. His arm was missing. Internal organs lay ruptured. How many bones remained? Who could say? He needed isolation and rest — lest his enemies find his weakened form: a chance at revenge. Death would follow swiftly.
From further on still came the resounding low *”MUUOONHH—!”* the *Red Flamed Ox Demon* thundered once more, deep voice reverberating through mountains in a tremble echoing across vast reaches. He was wounded from head to foot — blood trailing each massive hoof-step. Burning the very heavens crimson, he crashed his massive, broken form into cliff sides — plodding through pools of lava, escaping the chaos by fleeing into the heart of the wilderness.
The battlefield now silent — the final presence remaining standing stood like a mountain among men — golden-furred and radiant, roaring a proud and wild challenge against the storm-winds. As a *Tornado of Life and Death swept*, grass, branches, shrubs tore free as though pulled into a vortex. Trunks cracked, entire ridges cracked — mountains crumbled like clay — absolute chaos swept across the blood-stained land.
With golden brilliance blazing, *Suanni’s* eyes scanned dispassionately over what few surviving monstrous beasts yet breathed — his quiet snarl causing even them to quake uncontrollably. And in that moment, all those survivors who had narrowly avoided annihilation felt a release, a divine mercy descend — the only response they had — to *flee* without restraint. As fast as they could in every direction — all disappearing like shadows chased by dawn.
Truly — more than sixty or seventy percent of those who once stood at the battlefield were laid into ruin, crushed in the chaos of when the *Three Kings* collided — a cataclysmic eruption that laid waste upon hundreds of lesser creatures. The land became eerily silent, fire faded. Lava hardened. Bloodstains spread thick — and in a golden haze that lingered over it all — *Shi Yun Feng* stood silently. Like divinity incarnate. Immortal. Yet… alone. As though the passage of time had finally taken what once was eternal, its radiant golden eyes faded gently into twilight — blood slowly, visibly oozing from lips. With a final flash of golden fire, ancient veins crack, a roar cut mid-breath. *Shi Yun Feng* fell with a *Thundering Boom.*
“Ah! It moved — so it died again?” exclaimed the wide-eyed child atop Azure-Eagle. “So it truly was only acting. In the end, even with all his plans… age and the reaper caught the old beast’s trail. What a shame.”
A spark shone behind eagle’s eyes — a temptation to descend — yet she still feared whether *Suanni’s soul* had departed yet. Perhaps even yet the old fox was only feigning. If so, she’d truly be walking straight into doom. Thus, nothing. No life stirred. The great wild lay quiet — all creatures that still lived had run far — fleeing leagues away.
Then at last came the voice — Xiao Tian spoke to his winged mount gently but anxiously from atop her back.
“Auntie! If the old *Suanni* has finally passed, we’d better make our way back down and confirm.”
The mighty *Azure Eagle* — wise in thought itself — already knowing full-well as her tiny burden — her heart still gripped with cautious restraint. Hovering thoughtfully, the pair descended gradually.
Below — an apocalyptic landscape, charred in color, drenching every rock in *gore*. Blood filled every puddle — bodies mashed into pulp; bones scattered, broken as far as a carcass can crumble from war-torn fields.
“Yah! Look! It’s really… finally passed away…”
Gently reaching out, the child and the great eagle reached forward — confirming the truth: *Shi Yun Feng’s* form had turned cold — life had departed. At once, a surge of unbridled joy overtook *Azure*. Wings beat like thunder through air — whipping clouds of dust, earth, and stones. Quickly, the beast retrieved the torn-off Ape King’s arm (a divine remnant itself), rich with precious immortal *Essential Life-force* within its blood.
The tiny child huffed and struggled under the massive red horn from the fallen *Li Huo Bull Demon* several meters wide — laughing heartily, his eyes crinkled into moons with glee— for in beast-world terms — such horn was pure invaluable treasure in the eyes of beasts and treasure-hunters.
“Hurry now! We should get goin’, Auntie…” urged Xiao Tian from atop its back. The great *Azure Eagle* — elated, unlike her usually harsh expression — eyes half-closed with dreamy joy. Just then her massive wingspan trembled.
“Heyyy! Auntie? What’s wrong?”
As *Beast-Auntie Azure* strained to lift *Shi Yun Feng’s* ancient frame off the field, she took flight once, yet stumbled mid-motion — falling halfway to earth once more before stabilizing weakly at last.
“No way…” said wide-eyes boy with dread. “Did… did poison enter Auntie again?”
Some time earlier — the *Azure Scaler* suffered deep bite of poison fang by the dread *Purple-Golden Sky Snake* — swiftly biting, and even tearing free infected muscle, she was still not able fully to eliminate the lingering toxin’s grasp. Worse still — later blood-ferocious weasels and deadly *Beetle Ironfang Rulers* had gnashed at her mid-battle. Each grievous scar and wound weakening her day by day.
And those old injuries — now feeding the venom to its fullest effect inside her body like wildfire feeding on dry brush.
“Auntie! We have to move — take us Home!” the tiny figure cried loudly, voice rising with desperation. “Hurry to Shi Village. Old Chief has ways. His medicine’s good at curing such things!”
Azure struggled, but forced flight again. With one last mighty heave, she hoisted the *Suanni’s ancient*, hulking weight above, and took off in slow pursuit across toward Stone Village — though she swayed unsteadily — almost toppling multiple times mid-air. Each flap of wing became harder. Strength fading. Weakness consuming. Even under heavier prey than it before, under better strength and condition she would’ve never had such issues holding.
Just as crossing an area over sheer cliff-faces, a *Crackle!* — her iron wing clipped against a tall rock wall — smashing the stone to debris — barely preventing her plunge.
Worried the child said: “Auntie — maybe if getting too hard, just let’s toss *Shi Yun Feng’s* body into trees. We can carry horn and bone back. Come again another day?”
But the Eagle only hissed fiercely in disagreement, flaring at him to sit and secure those long-horn treasures across his tiny back — as *Her* massive claws, even more tightly locked around the *Ancient Beasts*. Her form swayed lower, skimming the tops of trees, as she dove ever closer to Stone Village.
At last… The golden fields came near! The child, tightly hugging crimson horn and ape limbs, his heart filled with radiant satisfaction — his smile blooming like a fresh spring flower.
The path back had been one riddled with death’s shadow — yet they managed. They had brought home a Suanni’s Divine Body. And along with three great relics — treasures from beast-kings. A bounty richly worthy indeed.
“The old elders and uncles… probably hid the struggle around my birthday trial from my eyes… but I knew already! Now this changes everything, doesn’t it?” he whispered gleefully. “Three *Ancient Kingblood Beasts’* True Forms… their Essential Vitality must suffice! Enough so that no matter who objects may still try to interfere… but *we are back!*”
On that radiant twilight afternoon, under a sky ablaze with reds and oranges of dusk, *that tiny youngling’s innocent laughter echoed forth* — bright, warm… pure… Like hope itself, returning home — after facing storm, darkness, and death.
Just then — *Stone Village’s horizon* appeared… and joy rushed forward on little wings like the morning wind after night’s longest darkness.
