Chapter 93: Breaking Shi Yi’s Record

The Initiation Land was overflowing with people, nearly bursting at the seams. Golden paths constantly formed on the stone, emitting dazzling glimmers of fortune light. Yet the scene remained very tense; the paths clearly insufficient. Group after group materialized one after another.

Someone was attempting to shatter Shi Yi’s record, provoking immense commotion. Tremors rippled across regions as experts from secluded paradises broke their seclusion.

Never before in recent years had a day been this lively. The Initiatory Land overflowed with new visitors: ten times its usual number, even a hundredfold more. Crowded heads bustled shoulder to jostling shoulder.

“Of course, again with that infuriating kid? How else is he going to defy Heaven itself, breaking not one, but two grand records in a single day already seems astounding! Although that display wasn’t exactly something we would praise, does he have to wear pride on his sleeves like they’ve already made it?”

“He’ll certainly need a miracle to triumph where countless brilliant youths have met their defeat including many noble princes or handpicked inheritors. If this rambunctious child succeeds though – ah, it’ll surely shake this world to its roots!”

Chattering tongues dissected Little Rascal’s feats upon entering the Initiatory Land, until finally details emerged.

“Apparently he demanded a ransom of divine blood from the four mighty houses!” The ill-fated noble clans listened helplessly as their dishonor spread widely, evoking their profound sense of humiliation, nearing madness over the disgrace.

Indeed, the ripples weren’t confined to the spirit realm but also disturbed real-life Stone Kingdom. Particularly its imperial capital buzzed with chatter from all prominent nobly descended clans.

“Just who birthed such prodigious progeny, clearly not just the product of normal means?”

“Crow-Kin King had a late heir hadn’t he—could this be him, attempting to challenge the mighty Retinarch Shi Yi for Imperial ascension?”

Within the sprawling expanse of Stone Kingdom where Sun blazed high above, Shi Yi loomed omnipotent despite youthfulness; his name had already spread across the nations. He now represented the most likely choice in human Emperor race standing tall.

At countless palace seats and hallowed sanctums belonging to high sect organizations throughout this era—an undecipherable number had turned their full attention. Youth’s reactions mattered most—they’d lost their collected wits entirely.

“Brother quickly step beyond the sanctuary! Quick, we must delve back within spiritual world—something monumental stirs!”

“But pray why the hurry?”

“Because someone seeks challenge Shi Yi’s legend,” was the breathless reply.

In those instant, awakened prodigies stood uniformly shocked before hastily stepping once more into the Realm of Imagined Gods, eager to witness.

Beyond Stone Kingdom itself adjacent nations found themselves in uproar too—analogous to celestial stones plummeting down onto oceans, triggering tsunami waves of unrest.

“Quickly my senior disciple—first I enter; later you’ll seek me out!” the urgency clear.

“Expect my arrival momentarily! You cannot imagine how necessary it is to witness this brave—or perhaps mad—child, who dare challenge mighty Shi Yi for dominance!”

These bordering kingdoms annually performed grand sacrificial celebrations hence empowering every major fortress and critical location’s experts access into virtual domains of Spirit Land. And so now from both virtual world and physical domains stirred a tempest—Little Rascal single fateful move triggering grand repercussions universally.

Indeed, rulers of some royal courts paused momentarily, murmuring “hmm”—unwilling skeptics even so drawn by stirrings stirred within by a most unusual youth.

Meanwhile within Initiation ground, Little Rascal stepped softly and nimbly across terrain, calm as untroubled seas—an odd stance indeed. He seemed bewildered at how swarms followed him?—Did word of the illustrious elder already shake heaven?

“Little imp! Why must you stroll leisurely at such a moment!” A grump voice called out.

“What rush is there?” Little Rascal muttered.

“If it wasn’t for Shi Yi setting unchallenged marks these years and you astonishingly doubling those feats singlehandedly—extorting even the Four Supreme Great Clans—none among us would’ve come running at all.”

“As was my case,” echoed another spectator. “I too traveled solely hearing tell of this unprecedented, heaven-defiant scion. We await your marvel child.”

“You are not heaven-ravishing!” Little Rascal snapped. “What’s to be awed about a simple feat? Either shatter it or not and just leave a sign! Enough watching.”

Yet maintaining absolute composure amidst such expectations unnerved gathered spectators—doubts growing whether he indeed aimed to rewrite history? He simply remained too calm, too collected.

“Move along! Get ahead already!” the crowd continued their chorus urging on with exasperation blooming.

“They haven’t seized any divine thrones yet—but the courtiers sweat?” the child mumbled aside, drawing collective eye-rolling. What an audacious manner this one exhibited! And yet reflecting his audacious prior exploits tempered outrage into reluctant acquiescence.

“Thinking of confronting such a brat? Have we not seen how craftily he ensnared even imagined path’s very gates? With beguiling false frailty he baited The Majestic Four families into self-entrapped siege for more ransom.”

Offend such a divine youth risks similar heaven-inspiring retaliation no one dared court here within initiation ground where strength metrics simply skewed far too ludicrously skyward.

Finally destination emerged: a breathtaking mountain terrain. Before it, crystal waters sprawled outwards, a lake’s mirrored calm, beyond which roared falls cascading down like billowing clouded tapestry producing thunder.

Within this range prowled savage beasts and winged monsters. One might watch titanic silhouettes thundering across plains, hear bone-jittering calls echoing skyward and glimpse wing spans blot out firmament, vanishing amidst the far heavens.

“That is it,” interjected elder Bijing, “this mountain! When Shi Yi stamped ground he soared skyward directly landing on the majestic mountaintop.”

Another elder echoed sentiment.

“You’re correct! What a miracle that day appeared, indeed. Honored myself among senior clans who gathered including revered house lords of prominent bloodlines none fathomed reaching that legendary height.”

Within Initiation’s boundaries, power remained stunted—a mere blood-lifting threshold restriction.

Indeed it stood even greater—Shi Yi shattered heights by sheer physical might alone!

The lofty structure stood brown-hued colossal—scarce flora save only a scattering old trees. Sparse vines hugged surface walls. Cascading waterfall flowed like gushing silver threads creating rising mists shimmering golden under sun’s embrace, like some slumbering five-colored phoenix reborn.

“Child, you’ve resolved already?” the divine avian questioned.

“To bound? What preparation necessary is left?” Little Rascal replied breezily prompting mixed expressions around: Was it recklessness?

Some doubted entirely.

“Pray he doesn’t mock us, perhaps fabricating prowess beyond truth?”

Yet suddenly from distant horizon, streaking illumination appeared. A great beast skin approached swift, skimming the surface as figures stood firm atop.

“Glorious!” murmured many: “From which lineage such daring? To wield ancestral relics here freely, unafraid of losing divine powers?”

Typical tools couldn’t even imprint themselves in the virtual world. Only pre-cataclysm beast bone possessed enough essence; but risking such here invited danger to real treasures too.

This beast hide glittered Glyphs brightened violet. Upon the glimmer rode dozen graceful maidens clad ivory garbs; ethereal and otherworldly they appeared.

“These must hail from Subsidiary Divine Hall’s distinguished progeny—why so open, not concealing themselves?”

A sudden purple radiance approached, another fragment speeding toward arrival with swirling mystic mists.

“Look! Look who it might be—”

“Hush!! Likely representatives drawn from imperial families within distant lands!”

Multitudes surged, filling entire terrains with presence as crowd density swelled further still.

“I defy their claims that any might actually top Shi Yi’s standards. This isn’t more an audacious charade,” growled a few aloof youths standing defiantly apart amidst others. Each prodigy, they harbored bitter recollections where they too failed to even rival his footsteps; thus any succeeding against youth like this would prove intolerable humiliation for them further still.

“Lo—there appears Deer-Haven Sanctuary’s woman god-warrior as well.”

Amid rising veils of mist a quint-color roc drew close carrying woman adorned golden plate with radiant aura, hair flying wildly, eyes glinted ferocity beneath soft curves—shimmering in her armor like living War-Divine image.

“This child alone merits a presence from this far?”

Further peaks afar, stood an assembly numbering over a dozen, elders alongside men, each expression frost-laiden and calculating.

“We failed to trace ancestry—truly unknown and powerful as he’s never entered this spiritual plane before today.”

“To Rain Clan forces watching, remain cautious; uncover everything this mysterious force hails!”

This collective strength bore unmistakable royal authority—Rain Clan’s true inheritors assembled here solely for spectating Shi Yi’s records’ fate within youth’s challenge.

“Hmmpf—Clear the way! Haven’t noticed you’re impeding an attempt at historical legend-making,” demanded Little Rascal impatient now among surrounding chaos, overshadowing attention entirely.

“Hurried cries erupted: “Move back now, make space at once!”

Grumbling the crowd made a corridor parting. Little Rascal circled the mountain assessing: Yes indeed colossal stature—but noting the sister next mountain, even more towering, a little over ten more zhang perhaps.

“I shall try that one.”

With mutual confirmation, Twin Mountains beckoned—greater heights promising potential legend.

“Stay your distances now,” Little Rascal warned loudly.

A skeptic replied: “Far too distant we are. Are you certain such expanse still hinders you?!”

Though multitudes encircled him, many disbelieving in his success—a near unattainable feat given its origin from Stone Empire’s invincible youth whose legendary name echoed even celestial spheres!

With a casual shrug, Little Rascal settled into his stance while silence gripped crowd, only the crashing waterfall and swirling prismatic fogs punctuated the hush broken only when “Let us begin!” rang clear from him, stamping both feet powerfully against the earth.

Tremor echoed like earth rupturing violently!

Crustal fractures shot through solid ground breaking boulders as massive cracks branched lightning-style skyward, dust plumes swirling up violently. Stunned spectators stared on—had this small being actually caused such cataclismic tremor? Impossible? Could he merely seem human while secretly an offspring of a Divine Thunder Beast or Celestial Golden-Winged Crane?

Then Little Rascal’s aura shifted: a sharp majestic brilliance surged into existence—as a youthful Divine Lord—leaping upward against clouded veils toward skies beyond.

Eyes aflame with power none dared peer deeply. As one watching this meteoric rise into ethereal skies.

And then—shattering past summit peaks, the record was broken—

“A new feat is wrought! His triumph is real!” erupted an exclamation. With neither spell nor glyph, only his human might had this boy reached and transcended a legend already revered amongst many realms: The mighty Little Rascal had etched another saga into stone.
