Chapter 522: Secondary Body

The enchantress possessed a breathtaking figure, her curves swaying gracefully with every step. Her long, black hair, glossy and lustrous, cascaded naturally over her chest and back. Her complexion was fair and radiant. Her large, limpid eyes stood out with striking clarity, and when she smiled, her lips curled upward playfully, revealing pearly white teeth that sparkled. Her expression was one of slyness and mischief.

Inside the vineyard, the air was fresh, and miniature stone hills dotted the landscape. Rare and ancient vines of all kinds sprawled over rocks and trees, filling the air with rich spiritual energy.

Shi Hao sat on a vine-woven chair, watching her with keen interest, curious as to what news she had brought.

“Staring so intensely is quite impolite, you know,” the enchantress said with a bright, sweet smile. Though she claimed to feel shy, her boldness rivaled Shi Hao’s own.

“Out with it then—what good news do you bring?” Shi Hao asked, his gaze brazen as he examined her from head to toe.

Today, she could be called a celestial fox fairy, appearing in her fox-girl form. Not only was she of alluring physique, but she also bore several snow-white fox tails behind her, making her a vision that inspired endless fancy.

Shi Hao had seen two forms of her before, and this one was undoubtedly the more dazzling—one whose every smile exuded a hundred enchantments, bewitching the world.

“I’ve finally uncovered the truth about Yue Chan!” she said joyfully, her eyes twinkling and her teeth gleaming. Her expression bore a resemblance to a little devil.

Yue Chan was not the real one!

More precisely, the Yue Chan Shi Hao had captured was not the true body. Upon hearing this news, Shi Hao was momentarily stunned, finding it hard to believe.

“You’re saying she’s a spiritual body?” Shi Hao questioned, shaking his head. After all, he had personally confirmed it himself. The Fairyhe captured had been a flesh-and-blood being, not a mere illusion.

“Have you forgotten what I told you before? Back when we fought that girl in Shi Du for the first time, I told you she wasn’t her true self. You should have realized something then,” replied the enchantress.

Shi Hao furrowed his brows, still feeling something was off. He believed he had truly captured a living, breathing being.

“You put so much confidence in your judgment,” she chuckled, sitting beside the stone table and pouring herself a cup of tea, taking a delicate sip. “I merely said she isn’t the real one—I never said she was a spiritual body.”

“And what’s the difference?” Shi Hao asked curiously.

“If all you captured was a spiritual body, wouldn’t you feel disappointed?” The enchantress grinned mischievously at him, then pretended to be deep in thought. “Men, really!”

“So what is she exactly?” Shi Hao was growing more intrigued by the moment.

He had once attempted to probe Yue Chan’s consciousness and encountered two golden gates within. Behind them was an awe-inspiring aura akin to a deity’s, and within that, a breathtakingly beautiful woman slumbered in tranquility.

The enchantress said, “Yue Chan’s ambitions are great—she seeks transcendence. She’s carried out a ‘Divine Embryo Rebirth Plan.’ Now, her being has split into two: one as the main body, and one as the secondary.”

Shi Hao was stunned. In an instant, everything became clear, but it also shook him deeply. Was the Fairyof Bu Tian Sect truly capable of such a breathtaking, divine transformation?!

Without a doubt, the one he had subdued was the secondary body—an equally flesh-and-blood vessel, and just as significant.

“Does she truly have such divine arts at her disposal?” Shi Hao asked, somewhat unconvinced.

“You must never underestimate Yue Chan. You can underestimate anyone but her. She caused a tremendous sensation at birth, with celestial anomalies and auspicious lights bursting into the sky, dimming the heavens for a long time,” the enchantress said earnestly.

“She was born in the Upper Realm—how do you know so much?” Shi Hao thought the enchantress was not from this world, and now he had an indirect confirmation.

The enchantress sat there, her white fox tails swaying seductively, yet her expression was pure and her eyes bright. Ignoring Shi Hao’s question, she continued, “Some suspect she has a mysterious origin, connected to some divine fate.”

Regarding Yue Chan’s past and the extraordinary circumstances of her birth, the enchantress did not elaborate further. Instead, she merely told Shi Hao that there was a strange, sacred potential hidden within Yue Chan—one surpassing her current cultivation level.

A thought stirred in Shi Hao’s mind again, recalling the pristine, crystalline woman sleeping behind the golden gates deep within her consciousness—resplendent, radiant, and godlike.

This time, the enchantress had gone to investigate and confirmed that Yue Chan had not vanished. In fact, her main body remained unscathed and had not been sealed away.

The enchantress found the place where Yue Chan had once secluded herself for cultivation, uncovering subtle clues that suggested the Fairyhad undergone a transformation and evolution of the divine embryo there.

“Main body and secondary body…” Shi Hao murmured, his expression shifting between dark and bright.

“They’re essentially one; both are real bodies. One is merely stronger, while the other is slightly weaker,” the enchantress explained.

“Why would she do this?” Shi Hao asked.

“Obviously, it’s for greater power. By dividing her divine embryo into two forms, it’s as if she has been reborn—she gains a second life. If one body perishes, the other remains and can resurrect the first,” the enchantress replied with a hint of envy.

The regeneration of a divine embryo—an ancient method once sought in vain by the enchantress—was, apparently, mastered and practiced by Yue Chan.

“Splitting herself into two people seems odd,” Shi Hao remarked.

“Not at all,” the enchantress countered. “From now on, her two forms will be extremely hard to kill as long as they remain apart—they form an undying body. Moreover, the greatest advantage is that both bodies can cultivate simultaneously. When they reunite, that will be her moment of completion!”

Such completion would assuredly grant her unrivalled might, surpassing all in the heavens and on earth, allowing her to look down upon the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths with absolute supremacy!

In the enchantress’s words, Yue Chan, though appearing ethereal and celestial, had grand ambitions and was somewhat wild at heart.

“I caught her secondary body,” Shi Hao chuckled.

“Whether it’s the main or the secondary body you captured, as long as you don’t kill both, she can regenerate the lost one,” she said.

“So it’s meaningless to capture the Fairy? She can just evolve another form?” Shi Hao felt a headache coming on.

“Not at all! It’s very meaningful!” The enchantress laughed, like a cunning little fox, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “As long as the secondary body survives, she cannot evolve another.”

“Is that true?” Shi Hao’s eyes lit up.

“Of course,” the enchantress said joyfully. “Though this ancient method is indeed extraordinary, it does have minor flaws.”

“Where is her main body?” Shi Hao asked.

“I’ve been searching diligently, yet I can’t find a trace. Presumably, she has found a blessed realm for cultivation, where her main body is in retreat, while the secondary one roams the human world,” replied the enchantress.

Hearing this, Shi Hao felt a ripple in his heart. It sounded almost as though the goddess was high in the heavens, while her manifestation walked among mortals, experiencing the myriad aspects of human life.

“So,” she continued, her expression turning mischievous, “you must continue to care well for this secondary body, nurturing her until she’s soft and plump, keeping her in a state that can hold the main body in check. Perhaps, one day, you might even initiate an encounter with the main body itself.”

Shi Hao could not respond for a moment, but then he burst into hearty laughter.

After a while, the enchantress’ expression turned serious again, warning him not to take this secondary form lightly. This time, she had come precisely to assist him.

“A beautiful female prisoner—what can she possibly do to turn things around?” Shi Hao laughed. Lately, his mood had been particularly bright—reunited with his parents, discovering the enchanting truth from her… life had been good.

“Well, capturing the secondary body wasn’t her intention,” the enchantress smiled. “I’m sure the Holy Fairymust be fuming inside.”

“If she’s already captured, what danger could she possibly pose?” Shi Hao wondered aloud.

“She may be a captive by force, but she hasn’t chosen to fight to the death. If she wanted to, she could’ve escaped earlier, which suggests she’s enduring patiently, waiting for an opportunity,” the enchantress replied.

According to her, Yue Chan had a hidden agenda: to uncover all of Shi Hao’s secrets—including the Kun Peng technique, one of the Ten Fierce Beasts’ divine arts—and the ultimate secret behind his rapid cultivation advancement.

Shi Hao’s heart jolted. Whether it was the Kun Peng method, the Primordial Truth, or the supreme divine art concealed within his Emperor Bone, such knowledge would drive entire sects to madness.

“A mere prisoner dares to covet my secrets? Does she not fear becoming prey to fierce beasts or igniting a fire that consumes herself?” Shi Hao scoffed coldly.

“You must remember,” she said, “she was born with divine omens, and holds an inexplicable sacred potential within her. Based on what you told me earlier, those golden gates behind her consciousness definitely conceal a power surpassing her current realm. If she uses it at a crucial moment, she might deliver an unexpected blow,” the enchantress warned.

Shi Hao was startled. Could it be that he had actually become the prey in the web?

The enchantress smiled and shook her head. “I suspect she cannot access that power so easily right now. Even if she attempts to do so, she’d have to pay an immense price. She won’t open those golden gates unless it’s a matter of life or death. I think she might activate it only if she is personally harmed or acquires your secrets, at which point she would risk everything to escape.”

“She’s truly bold!” Shi Hao’s aura flared.

“On the other hand, she’s merely a secondary body, so she has little fear of consequences. If the secondary form fails, she can simply sever it and escape, with her main body able to restore it later,” the enchantress added.

Reflecting briefly, Shi Hao thought that such a technique was indeed both mysterious and terrifying.

“Of course,” she continued, “the main body, as its name implies, is still the stronger of the two. If she’s near enough, she can sense everything that the secondary body experiences and may even take control of it.”

The enchantress further speculated, “My intuition tells me that the secondary body’s defiance might be a move directed by the main one. Perhaps the main body personally visited after learning of the secondary’s predicament.”

Furthermore, she speculated that the secondary form herself might not even know the full truth—only the sleeping subconscious—the pristine woman hidden deep within the golden gates of her consciousness—would know all.

“Though they are physically identical, the main body’s soul force is likely far superior, allowing her to control everything,” the enchantress said.

“Then we should find the main body and seal her too!” Shi Hao declared.

“She’s already far away—she wouldn’t risk staying. What needed to be done has already been done. Now, she’s probably secluded in a blessed realm, calmly awaiting the outcome,” the enchantress replied.

Shi Hao looked piercingly into the distance, murmuring, “Using herself as bait for the tiger?”

“Precisely,” the enchantress replied with a grin. “Let her play with fire until it burns her.”

“What do you suggest?” Shi Hao asked.

“Obviously, we should keep the Fairy’s secondary body here permanently—nurture her well, make her plump and lively. If she finds a suitor, let her marry. If you like her, marry her yourself,” the enchantress said, producing a stone box with a sly smile. “I’ve brought with me the legendary Soul-Sealing Pearl, which can suppress her spirit and prevent her from acting out or severing herself—keeping her trapped in this secondary body.”

“Hehehe…” Shi Hao chuckled.

“With her locked away like this, the secondary body will pose no threat. We can even use her later to interact with the main body,” the enchantress said with a wicked smile.
