Chapter 1006: A Drop of Emperor’s Blood

The very Mother Qi Cauldron that had been weighing on his mind and causing him apprehension was actually here, buried beneath the Myriad Origins Soil? How could Shi Hao not be shocked?

“You’re not pulling my leg, are you?” Shi Hao turned to the Enchantress, his gaze wary. This girl was cunning—her words couldn’t be taken at face value. Besides, the shape beneath the soil distinctly resembled a human figure, not a cauldron.

The Enchantress swayed gracefully, her dark hair cascading loosely, her large eyes sparkling like water. Radiant as the moon and ethereal as an exiled immortal, she flashed a smile, revealing pearly teeth. “What would I gain from lying to you?”

In the past, she had favored black robes, her skin as flawless as fine jade, exuding an alluring charm. But now, she wore snow-white garments, carrying an otherworldly aura—something had changed.

“Trying to outshine your rival?” Shi Hao eyed her.

“Pfft, that loser? Back then, I only needed a few spirit bodies to deal with her. Speaking of which, how’s that little lady Yue Chan doing?” The Enchantress, tall and slender, tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, her eyes shimmering with mischief. The transcendent fairy-like demeanor vanished in an instant, replaced by a bewitching allure that stirred the heart.

Shi Hao studied her. As expected, the Enchantress remained as carefree and slippery as ever—a formidable opponent.

“Yue Chan wasn’t in her true form back then either. She split into primary and secondary bodies. You should know—we only captured the secondary one,” Shi Hao said.

“Oho, calling her so affectionately! Don’t tell me you actually got tangled up with her. I never would’ve guessed—back then, you were just a kid, barely reaching my shoulder. So young, yet already so wicked? Poor Yue Chan, ruined by a brat. Her once-immortal reputation is now just water under the bridge!”

The Enchantress shook her head in mock lament, her voluptuous figure swaying. But her sparkling eyes betrayed her delight—she was clearly reveling in schadenfreude.

Shi Hao’s forehead twitched. What nonsense was she spouting? True, he hadn’t been of age a few years ago, but he certainly wasn’t short—how could he have only reached her shoulder?

“You’re already mocking me the moment we meet?” His expression darkened as he glared at her, his gaze sweeping over her ivory-white, curvaceous form. He gritted his teeth.

“Tell me, how’s my little loser doing?” The Enchantress asked with keen interest.

“She’s… fine,” Shi Hao replied.

“Oh?” The Enchantress’s eyes widened as if she’d discovered a new continent. Her long, curled lashes fluttered as she chuckled slyly. “So there *is* something going on between you two?”

Those four words made Shi Hao’s eyebrows shoot up as he glared at her.

“Who would’ve thought? That brat from back then actually had the guts to pull something like this!” The Enchantress swayed her head, laughing uncontrollably.

“Stop spouting nonsense!”

“Oh, embarrassed now? Just one look at your face tells me something definitely happened between you two. Haha… This is too good. Next time I see Yue Chan, let’s see how she keeps up her icy, untouchable fairy act in front of me!” The Enchantress laughed brightly.

Shi Hao was momentarily speechless. After a long pause, he growled, “You know, I’m actually quite interested in *you*. Care to throw yourself into my arms?”

“Little brat, scram as far as you can!” The Enchantress’s smile didn’t waver, but her tone was firm.

“How much older are you than me, anyway?” Shi Hao circled her once, then remarked, “You’ve got quite the figure—nothing like those uptight orthodox fairies. So full of charm.”

Since she dared to tease him, Shi Hao saw no harm in returning the favor with a little flirtation.

“Little rogue, go find your fairy instead. Auntie here has no time to banter with you—I’ve got cultivation to do, immortality to attain. Maybe I’ll pay Yue Chan a visit someday. Haha…” She laughed freely, her tall frame swaying with relaxed grace, like a bewitching flower of both fairy and demonic allure—beautiful and intoxicating.

Shi Hao reached out, his fingers aiming to grasp her jade-like arm as three strands of immortal energy swirled around him.

“Hey, focus on the real task at hand. I’m not in the mood to fight!” The Enchantress channeled her own immortal energy, summoning a stone bead that radiated pressure. Mist enveloped her as she retreated.

Without further delay, they began digging. Shi Hao collected the Myriad Origins Soil, depositing it into the bone cauldron.

Sure enough, the object below exerted a strange force, clinging to the soil and making extraction increasingly difficult.

*Clang!*

Finally, the buried object revealed its true form.

“An Immortal King?” The Enchantress’s heart raced. Even she suppressed her usual mirth, bracing for any unforeseen danger.

Beneath the multicolored Myriad Origins Soil lay a motionless figure, clad in dull, cracked armor devoid of any luster.

Yet, it exuded an inexplicable, sacred aura—untouchable and mysterious. Even in its ruined state, it was anything but ordinary.

“Is this truly an Immortal King?” Shi Hao was equally shaken.

Legends spoke of Myriad Origins Soil—something only true immortals could possess, used to nurture immortal herbs or bury oneself. It was invaluable, preserving one’s form for eternity.

Now, the legends had proven true. Shi Hao’s expression turned grave as he stared at the figure beneath the soil.

He and the Enchantress exerted their utmost to gather the glowing soil, fully exposing the immortal’s body.

“A female immortal?”

“Wait—no, there’s no corpse. Where’s the person?!”

They shuddered. The armor was extraordinary, maintaining its shape as if worn by someone, not collapsing despite being buried. Yet, upon full excavation, only the armor remained—human-shaped, but its owner was nowhere to be found.

This armor had once belonged to a woman.

“What material is this? Some kind of immortal gold?” Shi Hao ran his fingers over it, then attempted to crush it. Despite its many cracks, the armor remained unyielding.

Ancient and unadorned, it lacked dazzling brilliance, but there was no doubt—this was a peerless treasure of battle attire. Had it not been damaged, it would have shaken the world.

“Thinking about it, it makes sense. A female immortal, knowing her demise was near, buried herself here. But where’s her true body?” the Enchantress mused.

Then, she turned her graceful form toward Shi Hao. “The Myriad Origins Soil is yours. This armor is mine.”

Shi Hao tested the armor again. It showed no reaction—half-ruined, its only notable trait was its indestructibility. Still, he sensed deeper mysteries within but chose not to contest her claim. He nodded.

After all, he already possessed a set of tattered armor, possibly linked to the Thunder Emperor. This one could go to his collaborator—she *had* discovered it first.

“Huh? There’s light rain… and immortal mist. Did she ascend or dissolve into nothingness?” The Enchantress gasped.

Shi Hao was equally startled. The armor inexplicably glowed, releasing wisps of luminous rain and mist—as if a flawless body had dispersed within.

The sight was eerie and awe-inspiring.

“Supreme experts who perish—some leave behind relics, others prefer dissolution, returning to the heavens and earth. This is likely the latter,” Shi Hao said.

“What a pity. To reach such heights, she must have been a peerless woman. Yet she died without a trace, her name lost to time. Even the Myriad Origins Soil couldn’t preserve her?” The Enchantress sighed.

“What about the Mother Qi Cauldron you mentioned?” Shi Hao shot her a dark look. This witch had undoubtedly used him again—this time to dig up the Myriad Origins Soil for her own gain.

The armor had initially exerted a strange force, clinging to the soil, but now lay dormant, its aura vanished.

“Years ago, I saw it fly here and vanish into the earth. What happened afterward, I don’t know,” the Enchantress admitted, shaking her head.

She swore she wasn’t lying—she truly had seen a cauldron and followed it to this very spot.

Shi Hao believed her. Without having seen the cauldron, she couldn’t have described its form so accurately.

They continued digging, intent on collecting the remaining soil into the cauldron.

“Hmm, still tough to extract. Is there something else below, clinging to the soil?” Shi Hao’s heart stirred.

The Myriad Origins Soil spanned a square zhang in area and depth.

At the very bottom, as they cleared the last of the soil, their expressions changed simultaneously.

A single drop of blood—crimson as a fire diamond, radiant and translucent—burst forth, its divine light piercing the heavens. The moment it emerged, an unfathomable pressure radiated from it!

Shi Hao and the Enchantress staggered back, utterly stunned. What kind of being could leave behind a single drop of blood that made their hairs stand on end, as if facing a primordial beast?

A single drop of blood, dazzling beyond belief!

Even more startling—it carried no killing intent. This was merely a harmless remnant, yet its mere presence exuded an overwhelming aura.

Shi Hao realized that anyone below the Heavenly Deity Realm would be forced to their knees, trembling uncontrollably.

This defied all logic—it was terrifying!

Whose blood was this?

“I’ve seen this before—it’s the blood on that Mother Qi Cauldron. Crimson as a blood diamond, it once illuminated the heavens from the cauldron’s surface,” the Enchantress said, her usual playfulness gone, replaced by solemnity.

Shi Hao activated his Heavenly Eye, scrutinizing the blood. Yet, he couldn’t penetrate it—the drop was shrouded in strands of chaotic mist, its internal laws and order imperceptible.

Even his Heavenly Eye failed—a rare occurrence indeed!

“Not of the past, not of the present—returning to seek me. What do you want?” Shi Hao murmured, his expression cold.

*Boom!*

Suddenly, the drop of blood erupted with a surge of energy, as if responding. The void trembled violently, on the verge of collapse.

“What kind of being is this?” the Enchantress exclaimed, her beautiful eyes wide as she stared at the blood.

“Could this rival Willow Deity?” Shi Hao’s heart pounded.

He had a feeling—if Willow Deity fully recovered, its presence might match this.

“That cauldron carried someone here, descending into the Myriad Origins Soil to recuperate. This soil preserves immortality, nourishing all living beings and artifacts,” the Enchantress deduced.

Shi Hao nodded. That made sense.

“Did you see the cauldron’s master? What did they look like?” Shi Hao asked.

“It was blurry—hard to say. At first glance, it seemed like a woman, but fragments of time swirled around her, obscuring her form. Then, it looked like a man.” The Enchantress sounded uncertain.

She felt the cauldron was eerie, as if it had traversed past, present, and future, distorting time itself. It was an indescribable sensation.

*Boom!*

The next moment, the blood grew even more terrifying. Its energy split the sky, and from within came thunderous roars that shook the heavens.

Faintly, Shi Hao heard the clamor of countless soldiers in battle, their war cries resounding!

And then—he saw a man.

Not clearly, but as if gazing through myriad realms, the figure stood tall, prideful, meeting his gaze.

Like… an Emperor of Heaven!

Shi Hao’s eyes blazed like lightning as he faced the figure, an inexplicable aura rising within him!

The Enchantress was stunned. At this moment, she couldn’t approach—repelled by an overwhelming force. That presence alone could make Heavenly Deities kneel in reverence.
