Chapter 2002: Ominous Transformation

The Immortal Domain was filled with the clamor of battle as heroes from all sides rose to counter the dark legions.

Shi Yi was disintegrating, transforming into a rain of light that enveloped a drop of true blood before erupting into the heavens, its radiance piercing the vast firmament.

With a thunderous boom, violent ripples shook the starry sky. Many who witnessed this scene were overcome with sorrow—the once peerless genius of the Immortal Kings, the possessor of the Dual-Pupils, had now chosen self-destruction.

“Hahaha…” Hong Di laughed, though his mirth was cold.

“Do you think the blood of an Immortal King has any effect? What a joke!” Cang Di sneered dismissively.

In his view, only the true blood carrying Shi Hao’s life imprint—such as that of his descendants, the continuation of his life—would have any significant effect. The blood of other close kin would be far less potent.

Yet, the result defied the expectations of the Quasi-Immortal Emperors.

The blood, once offered in sacrifice, was silently absorbed by Shi Hao’s body across the void, merging with him and revitalizing his waning vitality.

This shocked both Hong Di and Cang Di!

“Past causes, present consequences—I return them to you!” These were Shi Yi’s final words before the starry sky dimmed completely, his figure vanishing forever.

Only a few understood the karmic debt he spoke of.

“Why must you be so resolute?” Shi Hao lamented, unwilling to see his kin perish this way.

He knew exactly what Shi Yi meant.

Long ago, the Dual-Pupiled Shi Yi had taken Shi Hao’s Supreme Bone, which contained a trace of his true blood. Now, through sacrifice, it proved invaluable to Shi Hao—for within Shi Yi’s body, that trace of blood still flowed.

**BOOM!**

Shi Hao’s aura surged, striking fear into the three Quasi-Emperors.

“I understand now!” Qin Hao murmured from afar, realizing where the true blood was hidden. Though not an Immortal King, he too carried Shi Hao’s blood within him.

Earlier, Shi Yi had stopped him—out of kindness, to spare his life.

“My turn!” Qin Hao roared.

Without hesitation, he too offered himself in sacrifice, his blood and soul erupting in a final, decisive act.

Long ago, when Shi Hao had been on the verge of death, he had given Qin Hao his Supreme Bone—and with it, a trace of his true blood. Now, the debt was repaid.

The battle in the Immortal Domain raged fiercely, while beyond the dam, the war in the Boundary Sea grew even more brutal.

With the true blood now in his possession, Shi Hao’s vitality gradually recovered. Even a single drop, nurtured within his withered body, made all the difference.

It was clear just how much they had exhausted themselves before.

These drops of true blood acted as catalysts, like seeds reviving their desiccated forms.

Across the Immortal Domain, warriors clashed in bloody combat.

“Kill!”

The Ten Crown King brandished the World Tree, sweeping through the battlefield with unstoppable force. Each swing of his divine weapon annihilated swathes of dark creatures.

Even when facing Dark Monarchs, he pressed forward relentlessly!

**BOOM!**

A formidable opponent emerged—a supreme dark being wielding a mighty treasure, blocking the Ten Crown King’s advance.

Soon, blood sprayed as their battle reached a fever pitch.

Elsewhere, the ethereal and elegant Banished Immortal, clad in blue robes, dueled against the elite of the dark forces.

“Pfft!”

Blood flashed as an Immortal King fell, his life extinguished by the Banished Immortal’s lethal strike.

“Roar!”

In another region, a white Kirin roared, its body drenched in blood as it struggled from a crimson mire.

But alas, a colossal black hand descended, blotting out the cosmos—**SPLAT!**—reducing it to a mist of gore.

“Little White!” The Lunar Jade Rabbit cried out in anguish.

That Kirin had been the one she once saved, now grown powerful—though not as mighty as the Heavenly Horned Ant, it had been formidable.

Yet today, a single strike from a Dark Overlord erased its existence.

“Go!”

With a fierce shout, the Crimson Dragon arrived, its scales torn and body battered from another battlefield.

A disciple of Shi Hao and descendant of the Ten Fierce, it had been close to both the Heavenly Horned Ant and the White Kirin. Grief-stricken, it knew staying meant death—so it seized the Lunar Jade Rabbit and fled.

**CLANG!**

The Heavenly Horned Ant struck, now the strongest of the Ten Fierce descendants. His battered Immortal Metal Staff crashed down, clashing with the Dark Overlord.

The pinnacle of strength—divine might shaking the world!

“Pfft!”

The Heavenly Horned Ant coughed blood, staggering back—but the Dark Overlord too spat black ichor, forced to retreat.

Astonishingly, the Heavenly Horned Ant could contend with an Overlord!

Then, his body trembled before erupting with a terrifying aura—he entered a berserk state, battling the Overlord with reckless abandon!

**CLANG!**

The Dark Overlord was driven back, blood gushing from his mouth. The Heavenly Horned Ant’s relentless assault left him struggling to survive.

In such battles, victory favored the bold—the timid perished.

The Heavenly Horned Ant fought with everything, his momentum unstoppable, his aura nearing invincibility.

But then, multiple powerhouses converged, seeking to overwhelm him.

“Dare you act so arrogantly?!” The Butcher roared from afar, his massive palm smashing down.

**SPLAT!**

A fallen monarch was obliterated.

With the Butcher and Burial Master leading the charge, dark forces crumbled, their ranks shattered.

Yet this was but a localized victory—the Immortal Domain was vast, and as battles raged everywhere, its defenders gradually faltered against the endless dark tide.

Shi Hao turned just in time to witness a tragic sight—a figure in white robes, now stained crimson like blooming plum blossoms, falling in battle.

Princess Yaoyue had perished amidst the dark horde.

Not all had the courage to fight to the end. Some clans had already pledged allegiance to the Ancient Temple of Guidance.

“Ning Chuan, have you truly betrayed us for the Dark?!” the Ten Crown King bellowed.

He never imagined that the man once his equal in brilliance would side with the darkness, turning against the Immortal Domain.

Before him stood a man of transcendent grace, his beauty surpassing even that of many women—the Six Crown King, Ning Chuan.

“Betrayal? My ancestors bore dark blood. I am merely returning to my roots,” Ning Chuan replied calmly.

“Kill!”

The Ten Crown King surged forward, his aura terrifying.

Ning Chuan had not yet ascended to Immortal Kinghood. Though peerless in talent, he was no match now—he retreated, letting fallen Immortal Kings intercept the Ten Crown King.

“Even the Guardian lineage of the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths once bore dark blood,” Ning Chuan called over his shoulder.

“Still sowing discord?” the Ten Crown King scoffed.

Yet doubt lingered—Dugu Yun’s lineage did sometimes manifest blackened blood, as if corrupted.

And Dugu Yun was a descendant of the Guardians.

“My ancestors were indeed tainted by darkness, but upon awakening, they chose the Immortal Domain—just as the Burial Kings now fight beside us, severed from the dark!” Dugu Yun declared.

Having cultivated for two million years, he was a True Immortal, still short of Kinghood.

“Kill!” Dugu Yun charged Ning Chuan.

Meanwhile, the Ten Crown King clashed with fallen monarchs.

Chaos spread as battles erupted across the Immortal Domain, heroes rising and falling in droves.

“ROAR!”

At the dam, Shi Hao’s body blazed with radiant light. Nourished by the true blood, his power soared.

He also learned the fates of the Forbidden Master, the Crystal Skull, and the Golden Hand—all gone, their lingering wills choosing to fight when darkness came.

They had perished long ago in the Boundary Sea, their remnants now extinguished in one final stand.

The revelation filled Shi Hao with sorrow—he hadn’t even bid them farewell. Though death was their release, grief weighed heavily on his heart.

**SPLAT!**

He saw Ning Chuan and Dugu Yun perish together in mutual destruction.

He saw the Ten Crown King’s World Tree shatter as multiple Overlords ganged up on him.

“ROAR!”

The Ten Crown King, hair wild and bloodied, carved a path through the carnage.

The Butcher and Burial Master arrived, slaying several Dark Overlords.

Elsewhere, the Banished Immortal fell—outnumbered despite his brilliance, his blood staining the stars.

A tragic loss!

Shi Hao mourned but could not intervene.

Each death struck his soul deeply—so few of his generation remained, most fallen in this cataclysm.

His blood boiled, his fury mounting, his aura intensifying further!

Then, Little Stone sacrificed himself, choosing to bolster his father’s strength.

The veterans guarding him wailed in grief.

“ROAR—!”

The Primordial Dragon—Tian Xia Di Er, battered and bloodied—charged forth.

He too had sought to protect Little Stone, but the boy’s choice was irreversible.

Both he and the Immortal Metal Daoist, once corrupted and in seclusion, now fought desperately.

**SPLAT!**

Veterans fell in droves. Tian Xia Di Er crashed to the earth, his blood staining the ground.

“AH—!” The Immortal Metal Daoist battled Dark Monarchs until his metallic body shattered.

Each loss seared into Shi Hao’s mind—old friends gone, one after another, until his emotions erupted.

**BOOM!**

A sinister, dazzling light erupted from Shi Hao’s body.

With Little Stone’s sacrifice, the glow intensified, as if a bloody metamorphosis was underway—a new self struggling free from his broken form.

“This aura?!” Yu Di shuddered, unnerved by the eerie radiance enveloping Shi Hao.

“Stop him! Don’t let him transform!” Yu Di commanded.

The three Quasi-Immortal Emperors struck as one.

Across the heavens, from the Immortal Domain to the Burial Land, from the dam to the Boundary Sea, all trembled at the soul-shaking presence.

Shi Hao’s shattered body fissured, as if birthing something new.

“Impossible! None have ever succeeded—does he think he can become an Immortal Emperor?!” Cang Di growled.

His words echoed like apocalyptic thunder, lightning crisscrossing the firmament.

“I refuse to let you die! I will bring your life imprints back!”

In the Boundary Sea, Shi Hao roared to the heavens, his voice shaking past, present, and future—a terrifying aura engulfing all realms.
