Chapter 1056: The Stabbing Maniac

A few days later!

Lin Fan had already set off with Mo Qingxuan and the others days ago.

Meanwhile, the news of Long Jinfei’s death had reached Kunlun Divine Sect.

The sect was furious and determined to find the murderer. However, they didn’t even know who had killed him, which only deepened their rage. The Heaven Strategy Golden Immortal and the Barefoot Golden Immortal had been present at the scene, so the only way to find out who had killed Long Jinfei was to get information from them.

But even they didn’t know the killer’s identity, so they could only draw a portrait of the person.

The people from Kunlun Divine Sect looked at the portrait but couldn’t identify the person at first. However, a divine son who had previously visited the Heaven and Earth Sect recognized it immediately upon seeing the image. He exclaimed in shock, “Isn’t this that damned Lin Fan?”

Emperor Tai Qiantian was furious and immediately declared publicly that whoever could kill Lin Fan would be rewarded with a top-grade immortal artifact and granted access to cultivate deep within the sect.

Such a reward immediately stirred up the entire Kunlun Divine Sect. Even some elders were tempted.

A top-grade immortal artifact was no small matter. If one could wield it, their power would increase dramatically. And being allowed to cultivate deep within the sect was even more extraordinary.

When the Heaven and Earth Sect learned of this, Han Juntian was completely stunned. “Can’t you guys just stop causing trouble?”

He immediately issued orders that disciples should stay indoors as much as possible. As for the candidates for sect leader who were already outside, their safety wasn’t a concern—they were all powerful cultivators with many ways to protect their lives.

Han Juntian himself focused entirely on monitoring Kunlun Divine Sect’s movements. If Emperor Tai Qiantian or any of the vice-leaders made a move, he would certainly intervene.

Still, deep down, Han Juntian felt a sense of exhilaration at the current situation.

A few days later.

In the boundless void.

A man in a yellow robe exuded an air of majesty and calmness, yet his entire being radiated an aura that sent chills down one’s spine. He looked at the few people before him and spoke slowly.

“So, these are the candidates chosen by Kunlun Divine Sect?”

An elder from Kunlun Divine Sect nodded. “Yes. You will use the Kunlun Divine Flame to refine your techniques, and this time, only these three will be allowed into the treasure land. However, our sect hopes you will keep your word.”

“Of course. My words carry the weight of nine tripods. In the treasure land, they can seize whatever fortune they can. I won’t take their lives, but if they dare to scheme against me, don’t blame me for showing no mercy,” Qin Shengjun replied.

The three recommended by Kunlun Divine Sect were all candidates for sect leader. Yet, standing before Qin Shengjun, they felt a chill run through their hearts.

So strong!

Their cultivation levels were no joke—they were mighty figures even in the Boundless Continent. Yet, facing Qin Shengjun, they felt as if the power within their bodies had frozen, unable to circulate freely.

“As previously stated, once they enter the treasure land, they will be separated. They won’t interfere with you.”

The main purpose of entering the treasure land wasn’t to seek treasures—the treasure land was under Qin Shengjun’s control, and he was undoubtedly familiar with it, leaving no good items behind.

Thus, Kunlun Divine Sect’s main goal was to have these three disciples investigate thoroughly inside, trying to uncover who had left the treasure land or find any clues. If they did happen to gain some fortune, that would be an added bonus.

These three disciples were famous outside—Jiuli Ancestor Immortal Jin Jiuli, Kun Dong Golden Immortal Zheng Qiankun, and Biliu Fairy Yu Xiaor.

They were renowned in the outside world, but before Qin Shengjun, they dared not even breathe heavily.

“That’s best,” Qin Shengjun nodded. Then, with a flick of his sleeve, he carried the three into the void. The treasure land was still far away.

Lin Fan followed Mo Qingxuan and others into the void, unaware of the exact location of the treasure land. But after several days, they must have traveled a great distance.

“We’re almost there,” Mo Qingxuan said.

Lin Fan looked ahead. It seemed like an ordinary place, but the dimensions felt off. Without reaching this level of cultivation, even passing by wouldn’t reveal the overlapping nature of this void.

“This place looks so ordinary. How could it be a great treasure land?” Lin Fan asked.

“It may seem ordinary, but to enter this treasure land, one must have a key. I happen to have one, though it’s only a small fragment. Still, it’s enough to open the gate and allow entry,” Mo Qingxuan explained.

At that moment, Mo Qingxuan took out a crystal core no larger than a fingernail. It appeared unremarkable, yet it radiated a mysterious aura Lin Fan had never sensed before.

“What is this?”

“This is the key item for entering the treasure land. Without it, no matter how powerful you are, you can’t enter,” Mo Qingxuan said.

“It’s said this is the largest treasure land in the Boundless Realm, filled with infinite treasures. Though no one has entered before, the rumors must have some foundation,” the big man said.

“The greatest treasure land,” Lin Fan said, somewhat surprised and excited. He wondered what treasures might lie within.

“The timing is right. I think we should go in now,” Mo Qingxuan announced.

Lin Fan’s heart stirred slightly. He sensed danger approaching.

Mo Qingxuan didn’t speak but activated his power. The tiny crystal core suddenly emitted a beam of light, striking the dimensional void.

A rift in the void opened slightly—not large, allowing only one person through at a time.

“Who goes first?” Lin Fan didn’t mind, though he knew Mo Qingxuan wouldn’t be so generous.

Though he had never interacted with the Demon Subduing Heaven Sect, who would believe a demonic sect would kindly inform others about a treasure land? That would be treating others as fools.

Whether others believed it or not, Lin Fan certainly didn’t.

There was a plot. Definitely a plot.

“I’ll go first,” Mo Qingxuan said, then transformed into a streak of light and entered.

Lin Fan glanced at the big man, then at the two behind him. The big man looked at Lin Fan and smiled, revealing pale, unsettling teeth.

“Do you know who I am?” the big man asked.

“No idea. Why don’t you tell me about yourself?” Lin Fan asked with a smile.

“I’m the Black Demon Lord, the hallmaster of the Extreme Evil Hall of the Demon Subduing Heaven Sect,” replied the Black Demon Lord.

Lin Fan patted the Black Demon Lord’s shoulder. “I’ve heard the Extreme Evil Hall of the Demon Subduing Heaven Sect is terrifying, cultivating ruthless and inhumane techniques.”

“You know that already,” the Black Demon Lord said, smiling as he looked at Lin Fan’s hand on his shoulder.

“Right,” Lin Fan nodded, then suddenly thrust his hand toward the Black Demon Lord’s stomach.

Pfft!

“That trick won’t work anymore,” the Black Demon Lord grabbed Lin Fan’s wrist and smiled.

Lin Fan blinked. “Looks like it doesn’t work. But hey, I’m not limited to just one trick.”

“Huh?” The Black Demon Lord was momentarily stunned. Suddenly, his head began to spin.

At some point, Lin Fan’s hand on his shoulder had produced a brick, which he slammed directly onto the Black Demon Lord’s head.

The Black Demon Lord’s grip on Lin Fan’s wrist loosened.

Lin Fan steadied the Black Demon Lord’s body, twisted his wrist, and stabbed.

“That first move might not have worked, but now it does,” Lin Fan said with a bright smile.

One stab.

Two stabs.

Three stabs.

Each stab brought a sense of exhilaration.

“You thought I was stupid, didn’t you? Even if you didn’t strike first, I would have struck first anyway. Striking first brings advantage; hesitating invites disaster. If you don’t understand that, how can you call yourself a demonic sect?” Lin Fan said with a smile.

The two beside him watched in horror, their hearts filled with boundless fear.

It was as if they had seen a ghost.
