Chapter 1091: The Outsider

At the furthest edge of the Endless Continent,

Once stood the land treaded by the Celestial Sovereign, who later vanished, leaving even the Immortal Kings to halt at its borders.

An endless, pitch-black ocean stretched out, silent and still, its surface devoid of waves or wind, as if frozen in time. Above it hung a sky of dark clouds, matching the ocean’s hue, exuding an aura of death.

Many sects across the Endless Continent recorded that this was the Sea of Death. Many powerful cultivators had attempted to reach its end, but none ever returned.

Suddenly, several faint lights flickered across the vast Death Sea.

These tiny glimmers of light shone weakly, nearly invisible to the naked eye.

Boom!

Thunder roared, lightning crackled across the sky.

The lights drew closer, revealing massive dark figures entwined in black lightning, as if being torn apart by it.

As they neared, the figures became clear—three colossal, terrifying ships. At the bow of each stood the head of a monstrous beast, its eyes glowing blood-red, radiating an aura of evil and terror. Yet, no such beast was recorded in the Endless Continent’s histories.

The three ships halted at the beach, battered and worn, as if they had endured unimaginable destruction, yet had finally made it here.

Some days later,

The ships stirred to life as figures appeared upon them. Each figure stood silently, gazing into the distance, lost in thought.

“Haha…”

A sudden, earth-shaking roar echoed through the heavens—wild and filled with madness.

On the central ship, a towering figure clad in black armor, wielding a massive sword, stood like an evil god of war. He gazed at the sky and earth, then spoke with a voice that thundered through the world.

“So it’s all true. This truly is the land of the natives. The divine prophecy left by the Primordial Chaos Lord did not deceive us,” the giant laughed maniacally.

“Lord War Deity Commander, we’ve been in slumber for ten thousand years, and all three Divine Asia Arks are damaged,” a subordinate knelt and reported.

“Ah, I didn’t expect even the Divine Asia Arks to be damaged after so long. Very well, set up a spatial transmission formation. We must conquer this primitive land,” War Deity Commander ordered.

“Yes, my lord.”

The subordinate immediately rose, scanned the surroundings, found a concealed spot, and placed several strange crystals. Muttering incantations, the crystals floated into the air and formed a massive hexagram array, imprinted into the Death Sea itself.

“My lord, it is done,” the subordinate bowed respectfully.

“Good. Aside from the Primordial Chaos Lord, I, War Deity Commander Xios, am the second being to set foot on this land. Assemble all forces, and begin the cleansing within a ten-thousand-mile radius,” Xios commanded.

“Yes!”

Countless mysterious beings clad in black armor descended from the three massive Divine Asia Arks, their momentum surging as they marched forward.

The Heaven and Earth Sect.

Lin Fan opened his eyes. After relentless cultivation and consuming countless pills, his power had grown significantly, nearing the Immortal King stage.

However, he would no longer be able to rely on pills—he would have to defeat powerful enemies to advance further.

The divine treasures obtained from the elders of Kunlun Divine Sect had been refined into Immortal Artifacts by Lin Fan. Yet, to his disappointment, none of them had produced any unique effects. Truly a letdown.

But he shrugged it off. There would be more chances in the future.

Buzz!

Suddenly, Lin Fan felt a pulse in his heart—an omen of danger.

Just then, Lin Fan shot to his feet, tore open the void, and vanished into it.

This feeling came from the Immortal Artifact he had crafted—it had been disturbed.

And it was the artifact he had given to Lin Hanyu.

If it was being affected, that meant she was in danger.

Without hesitation, Lin Fan rushed toward her location.

The Hundred Flowers Sect.

“Who exactly are these people? Their techniques are so strange!”

“We don’t know. It’s not even cultivation energy. Their speed is incredible—they’re all sword experts.”

“Their explosive power is overwhelming. We can’t resist at all.”

“Their armor itself can attack. When Hua Senior Disciple struck one’s chest, her hand was crushed by the counterforce.”

The female disciples of the Hundred Flowers Sect stared in terror at the monstrous beings before them.

Meanwhile, the Sect Leader clashed with the towering figure.

“Not bad, not bad. Your figure is quite pleasing. You could become my servant, Xios,” the giant laughed mockingly, swinging his massive sword toward the Sect Leader.

Embedded with seven mysterious crystals, each swing of the sword unleashed bursts of light, greatly enhancing its speed and power.

Moreover, the sword carried flames and lightning, radiating intense heat.

The Sect Leader fought with frustration, glaring angrily at the enemy. “Who exactly are you?”

Xios laughed loudly, then his expression turned serious. “Listen well. I am Xios, one of the seventy-two Divine Servants under the War God. Surrender now, native, or die…”

The Sect Leader was puzzled. She had never heard of these people, the War God, the seventy-two Divine Servants, or this strange name.

“One Bloom of the Hundred Flowers!”

She leapt forward, flipping her palm to unleash a supreme technique.

Xios watched coldly, smirking. “Hmph. Foolish to the end. Then die!”

“Divine Skill: Annihilation Slash!”

In that moment, golden energy erupted from Xios. His massive sword slashed down with terrifying force, tearing through heaven and earth.

Lightning and flames coiled around the blade, amplifying its power.

The Sect Leader’s heart trembled as her techniques were shattered one by one. Though their power was equal, the sword’s enhancement made it impossible for her to resist.

Pfft!

She spat out a mouthful of blood, her face turning pale.

“Leader, are you alright?” Lin Hanyu rushed forward to support her. If not for the Immortal Artifact given by her younger brother, she wouldn’t have fared much better.

“Haha, how is it?” Xios laughed at the pitiful figures below.

He, Xios, was the mightiest being.

“Leader, these people are too strong. Their weapons are too strange,” the Sect Leader gasped in shock.

Lin Hanyu was equally alarmed. She had noticed how skilled these enemies were in close combat, wielding swords that seemed to cut through anything, each imbued with unpredictable forces that made them impossible to defend against.

“You natives, if you don’t want to die, kneel now,” Xios declared, his massive sword shaking the hearts of all present.

“In your dreams!” Lin Hanyu shouted defiantly.

“Hmph. Then you shall die!” Xios roared, raising his sword once more.

Lin Hanyu and the Sect Leader exchanged glances, their hearts pounding.

Clang!

“It seems I arrived just in time.”

Suddenly, a figure hovered in the sky, catching the massive sword in one hand.

Seeing the newcomer, Lin Hanyu froze for a moment, then shouted joyfully, “Little Brother…”

At that moment, Lin Fan, having caught the sword, felt a strange sensation—this was really, really weird.
