The battle between women had become as brutal as that of men. Qiao San’s heart wrenched painfully, sensing the anguish from Bei Gong Zhen’s soul. At the precise moment his thoughts subtly shifted, the blood mark on his brow throbbed violently, and crimson light suddenly flooded his struggling eyes.
Without warning, rage surged into his head. Just as Shi’er was being overwhelmed by the combined assault of the two women, Qiao San, still in the pit, suddenly roared in fury: “Bei Gong Zhen, stop right now! If you dare harm Shi’er, I will kill you, you wretched woman!”
“You!” Her Demon-Exterminating Bow frozen mid-air, Bei Gong Zhen instantly shifted from extreme motion to absolute stillness. Her gaze, cold as death, locked onto Qiao San’s face.
Silence abruptly descended. The real world still buzzed with noise, but between Qiao San and Bei Gong Zhen, there was a vacuum—an eerie, deathlike void.
“You… called me a wretch and… want to kill me?!” Each word was spoken with immense difficulty. Tears streamed silently down her face—not questioning, but repeating, echoing the moment that shattered her heart.
“Ahh—” A soul-piercing wail reverberated endlessly, its piercing shriek tearing through countless souls. Even Longmu and Yushan in the sky turned their gazes downward.
The howl still echoed through wind and clouds. Bei Gong Zhen—passionate and vengeful—transformed from love to hatred in an instant. Swinging her Demon-Exterminating Bow, she aimed her invisible arrow at the only man she had ever loved.
“Qiao San, I would rather see you dead than let my child have a demon for a father!”
“No!” At the moment the bowstring trembled and its sound lingered, Shi’er’s face paled. She threw herself forward desperately. She could have struck Bei Gong Zhen aside with one palm strike, but the unborn child of her beloved acted like an invisible shackle, binding her hands and feet.
“Thud!” The fox girl embraced Bei Gong Zhen and rolled aside. Shi’er not only wanted to save Master San, but also had to carefully roll away with the “murderer” in her arms. Her painstaking efforts truly deserved Qiao San’s heartfelt love.
As Shi’er and Bei Gong Zhen wrestled and struggled, a bloodcurdling scream pierced the heavens. They turned their heads and saw Qiao San pierced through by Xuan Nu’s sword, lifeless.
Immediately, a red glow enveloped Qiao San’s “corpse.” Within the crimson light, a mysterious, spinning treasure began to take shape.
“Ahh!” Bei Gong Zhen, flooded with grief, instantly lost all strength. Qiao San’s death left her collapsed on the ground, bitterness flooding her heart!
In contrast to Bei Gong Zhen’s sorrow, a faint flicker of joy flashed in Shi’er’s eyes. The little fox girl, knowing Qiao San so well, nearly laughed aloud. She hadn’t expected Master San to be so lucky—once again caught in a deadly tribulation.
The fourth of ten deaths—the long-awaited transformation finally arrived for Qiao San. The power of the Ten-Yang Pearl began to surge upward.
The red glow flickered, the divine pearl rotated, and Qiao San was about to be reborn. Suddenly, a beam of light descended from the heavens, engulfing Qiao San, the red glow, and the pearl, instantly pulling them into a clam-shaped magical treasure.
“Crack!” The clam snapped shut. The red light vanished without a trace. The treasure shrank rapidly, then steadily landed in a pair of beautifully rounded, graceful jade hands.
Longmu—again Longmu! Somehow, the Ruler of the Four Seas had already shaken off Yushan Princess’s interference. At the most delicate moment, the Dragon Clan’s secret treasure delivered a massive “surprise” to Qiao San!
“Longmu, what have you done?” Yushan finally caught up, staring at the treasure in Longmu’s arms, she couldn’t help exclaiming, “You’ve sucked him into the Divine Realm of Severed Waters! What are you planning?”
The climax of the battle between righteousness and evil suddenly shifted with new twists. Longmu, the unexpected force, smiled proudly. “Yushan, don’t think only you know how to play tricks. This is a special place I’ve prepared especially for the Ten-Yang Body. You hope he stirs up the impurities of the mortal world? Ha! Ha! I’ll make sure he can neither live nor die, forever trapped in this Water Divine Realm, never experiencing those ten deadly tribulations!”
At the dawn of heaven and earth, chaos was like an egg. When chaos broke, heaven and earth separated. The shattered “eggshell” became a hundred magical treasures, later known as the “Taixu Treasures” by the Three Realms. A special book, the “Taixu Divine Treasures Catalog,” was even compiled. The revived Taixu Heaven-and-Earth Sword was one of them, and the “Severed Water Clam” in Longmu’s hands was also recorded in the book.
“So ruthless! Let my Master San out!” The power of Taixu treasures far surpassed ordinary magical artifacts. Yushan’s expression flickered with uncertainty, but Shi’er, beside her, was already overcome with anxiety. She leapt forward, streaking toward Longmu with lightning crackling around her.
“Swish!” Longmu’s sleeve swept and flung outward. Xuan Nu appeared mid-air instantly, and the immobilized Shi’er became a captured prisoner.
“Yushan, now it’s your turn!” Stepping onto auspicious clouds, Longmu rose into the air. Dozens of cultivators were instantly filled with fighting spirit, their heavenly might like a stampede of ten thousand horses, charging toward the isolated and helpless Princess of the Myriad Demons.
“Whoosh…” Her magic fan stirred up towering waves of wind. Although it couldn’t budge her enemies, the Princess of the Myriad Demons easily flew away on the gust, her voice trailing behind filled with不甘 (gān).
“Longmu, the Underworld will never forgive you! I swear I will turn your Four Seas upside down, dry your waters, and destroy your clan!”
“Marquis Bei, please handle the aftermath here!” With a wave of her hand, the scroll flew back from the old emperor. The two senior immortals rose into the clouds, vanishing in an instant—along with the captured fox demon princess, Shi’er Niang.
Only now did the old emperor on the viewing platform regain his senses. With a thud, his trembling legs gave way beneath him, collapsing into his dragon throne. At last, he fully understood—the vast difference between humans and immortals. The so-called grand master he considered a high sage was merely a lowly soldier in the grand scheme. Now, he dared not even think of seizing the map, only crying out silently in his heart: My heavens, how terrifying!
Vast emptiness stretched endlessly, clouds and mist swirling.
A flash of light—finally, the two halves of the scroll joined together. With Longmu, a Golden Immortal of the Highest Heaven, present, the Daoist seal on the scroll melted away like spring snow.
“Ahh, the third half shows no reaction. Could this be a fake map?” Concerned with the life of the Primordial Heaven King, even the disciple of the Su Nu technique couldn’t hide her inner panic.
“It’s real, but someone tampered with it!”
Longmu quickly confirmed her judgment, then added with puzzlement, “Such a unique seal is extremely rare. Throughout all the Heavens, only the Star of Literature would know such an unusual immortal technique—but that’s impossible…”
“Book Spirit greets Lady Longmu and Holy Maiden Zifu!”
As Longmu’s doubts still lingered in the void, a gentle celestial voice suddenly rang out. The half of the scroll that had shown no reaction began to glow, and from it slowly emerged a human-shaped shadow.
A figure veiled in silk, eyes brimming with tenderness, her graceful form exuding the charm and maturity of the mortal world—Book Spirit had appeared, stepping forth from the scroll. Though she was Qiao San’s personal spirit, she showed deep, genuine reverence toward the immortals, a respect that could not be feigned.
