Yang Hao’s current speed is indeed incredibly fast. Whether it’s due to the excessive aphrodisiacs he consumed or not, he practically became a superhuman capable of flying across land, reaching the high-end residential area near the academy in no time.
Since most of the students at the academy came from noble families, aside from the dormitories, luxurious villas were also prepared nearby for these aristocratic offspring to enjoy.
However, Elsie’s family was particularly special. Her father served as the Empire’s ambassador to the planet Lamon, so even within this exclusive neighborhood, her house stood out like a crane among chickens.
It was a five-story building, complete with front and back gardens spanning thousands of square feet each, and even had a dedicated landing pad for shuttles on the rooftop.
In the past, Yang Hao wouldn’t have even been able to get close to such a place. But now, he was full of vigor and vitality. Not only could he run fast, but he could also jump extremely high, effortlessly leaping onto the second-floor windowsill of Elsie’s house.
Sure enough, Elsie and her two close friends, Wang Zhijun and Kevin, were chatting in the living room. Kevin, a big bear of a guy, was standing nearby, swinging his fists restlessly like someone with ADHD, though a large red bump on his forehead was particularly noticeable—it must have been quite serious from the rock Yang Hao had thrown.
Wang Zhijun, on the other hand, seemed fine. He was sitting next to Elsie, trying to flatter her. His conversation was all over the place, but every word was aimed at praising Elsie.
“That girl again?” Hunyuanzi started grumbling.
“Hey!” Yang Hao nearly fell off the windowsill in fright. “Could you be a bit quieter? If someone hears me talking, they’ll think my stomach is speaking, and I’ll end up being captured as a freak.”
“Do I look like I’d be so reckless?” Hunyuanzi snorted disdainfully. “Right now, I’ve connected into your consciousness. Only you can hear me speaking, and I can see and hear through you.”
Yang Hao grew uneasy. “Wait—does that mean you’re going to replace my consciousness with yours, like in that movie with the aliens?”
“No way,” Hunyuanzi quickly dismissed his concern. “My primordial spirit requires a special kind of body to bind with. Yours simply doesn’t qualify. You should be more worried about yourself. If you don’t act soon, you’re going to die.”
“And whose fault is that?” Yang Hao muttered bitterly. “Come on, tell me quickly—what should I do?”
“Isn’t it obvious?” Hunyuanzi laughed. “Just sleep with that girl inside, and you’ll be able to release the effects of the aphrodisiac in your body.”
“Sleep with her? Like hell!” Yang Hao grumbled. “Elsie won’t even talk to me. She won’t even go on a date with me, let alone be my girlfriend.”
“Who said anything about being your girlfriend?”
“Then how am I supposed to sleep with her?” Yang Hao was confused.
“Listen, you fool. If you wait around to slowly win her over, you’ll be dead before anything happens,” Hunyuanzi suggested craftily. “What I’m saying is, you should just seduce her and then—”
“You’re out of your mind!” Yang Hao immediately rejected the idea. “No way. I can’t do something like that. If I want to win a girl’s heart, I should do it the right way.”
“Pfft, who has more experience—you or me?” Hunyuanzi retorted smugly. “A woman won’t give you a second glance before you’ve slept with her. Once you have, though, you can do whatever you want.”
“I’m not some old pervert like you,” Yang Hao muttered, clearly offended. He was about to stop listening to the old man and leave Elsie’s house.
But Hunyuanzi reminded him at just the right moment, “If you don’t sleep with a woman today, you really will die. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
“Die today?”
“Yes,” Hunyuanzi replied calmly, as if nothing unusual had happened. “That stomach pain you felt earlier will return every few hours, each time more intense than the last. After the fifth time, your blood will reverse its flow, and you’ll die instantly.”
Hunyuanzi spoke with certainty, as if there was absolutely no way to stop this process.
“So I really have no choice but to…” Yang Hao hesitated.
“Exactly,” Hunyuanzi said, as if resignation was the only option. “You have to find a woman to release the effects of the pill.”
“What kind of crap pill is this anyway? Who even makes pills out of aphrodisiacs? I’ve read a bit about cultivation arts before. Everyone else uses mystical ingredients to make pills. I’ve never heard of anyone using aphrodisiacs.”
“That’s what makes it unique!” Hunyuanzi actually sounded proud.
Yang Hao sat on the windowsill, his legs dangling outside, swinging back and forth. “I still don’t want to do it. Even though Elsie treats me badly, I can’t bring myself to do something like that.”
“Oh, please. In this world, just because you’re nice to someone doesn’t mean they’ll be nice to you in return,” Hunyuanzi reminded him. “Why don’t you listen to what they’re saying inside?”
At his prompting, Yang Hao perked up his ears and listened intently.
Wang Zhijun and Elsie were actually talking about him.
Wang Zhijun seemed a bit worried. “That kid was really pathetic today. He flew off after just one punch from me.”
“You were the pathetic one,” Elsie snapped. “You fell so awkwardly. And you always brag about how strong you are.”
“It was because that brat illegally used his powers,” Wang Zhijun muttered. “I didn’t expect that power surge from channeling his energy directly into his body to be so strong.”
Elsie’s expression was icy. “You can embarrass yourself all you want, but why did you drag me into it? I had to help you drag that big bear back home.”
“Don’t worry,” Wang Zhijun flattered. “No one will find out. That guy Yang Hao fell into a hole. He might even be dead by now.”
“Good riddance,” Elsie said coldly. “At least then I won’t have to deal with him anymore. Who does that brat think he is, actually daring to pursue me?”
Yang Hao’s face turned pale as he listened from outside. He had always thought of Elsie as an angel, but now she was treating him like trash.
But what Wang Zhijun and the others said next made Yang Hao even angrier.
“What if the school asks about Yang Hao’s death?” Wang Zhijun, despite his usual bravado, showed some fear after the fact.
Elsie, however, was completely unafraid. “Can’t you handle those old men at school?”
“It’s not the school I’m worried about,” Wang Zhijun frowned anxiously. “It’s Yang Hao’s family. If they cause trouble, it could get messy.”
“Then finish them all off,” Elsie said coldly, without a flicker of emotion on her face. “They’re just commoners anyway. No one will care if they disappear.”
Hearing this from outside the window, Yang Hao was so furious he was trembling. It felt as if the sky was falling. Elsie, whom he had loved so deeply, was actually this cruel. He had only wanted to pursue her, yet this woman not only wanted to kill him, but his entire family as well. Yang Hao was so angry he felt like he was about to burst into flames.
“You sure picked a good one,” Hunyuanzi chuckled.
“I’m so angry! I’m so angry!!” Yang Hao stomped his feet. “Wait, you said earlier how to knock her out? Hurry up and tell me.”
“Now you’re talking,” Hunyuanzi laughed. “Look at yourself first. Why bother being noble for such a rotten woman? Your girl is heading back to her room. Your chance is coming.”
