Chapter 295: The Ultimate Battle (3)

The Heavenly Demon had made her move. To her, treasures and incantations were mere tricks, utterly useless. Only the Chaos Qi was the source of all power, the very foundation of heaven, earth, and all living beings!

With a single palm strike aimed across the void, she returned to the essence of nature itself. Yet this strike stirred chaos in the starry expanse around Qiao San.

In the real world, billions of beings across the Four Continents suddenly noticed the clouds in the sky beginning to swirl. The sun and moon appeared together. In the blink of an eye, several meteors plummeted toward the earth.

“Ahh—”

Whether mortal, demon, or immortal, none could respond to this natural upheaval. They stood frozen in terror, unable even to utter a cry.

As the chain of meteors threatened to obliterate the Four Continents, the meteor shower suddenly veered. Their long luminous tails swept across the skies above countless beings and flew back into the cosmos.

“Phew…”

Inside the treasure space, Qiao San had broken into a cold sweat. Fortunately, he reacted quickly enough to return the stars to their original positions. Still shaken, he dared not be careless again. With a flicker, he flew into the stars and vanished. To protect the Four Continents, he had to lure the Heavenly Demon to an uninhabited place.

“Daring San, where do you think you’re going?!” The Heavenly Demon certainly had the power to leave the Star-Shifting Plate at any time, but her fury made her fixated on dealing with this rogue alone.

An infinite number of stars filled the sky, each guarded by a celestial or demonic spirit.

On this day, the Broom Star Lord was leisurely wandering within his celestial palace when suddenly a beam of aurora crashed toward him. Before he could even see his attacker, the Broom Star was violently struck and sent hurtling into a terrifying cosmic vortex.

“Momma—”

Poor Broom Star Lord drifted endlessly through space, only able to return to his original position once every sixty cycles, and even then only briefly before beginning his endless drift anew.

Unaware that their battle had inadvertently harmed a celestial body, Qiao San and the Heavenly Demon continued their chaotic flight through the universe. The Star-Shifting Plate flickered in and out of existence, knocking aside countless unnamed stars.

Within the treasure space, two peerless powerhouses clashed with primordial forces, turning heaven and earth upside down, blotting out sun and moon. Each punch restructured space, each kick halted time itself.

After yet another violent gust, the Heavenly Demon, caught in a lightning-fast attack, complained, “Bold San, show me your real strength. Why care about the lives of these insignificant ants?!”

“Heavenly Demon brother, you don’t get it. Without weakness, how can you highlight our strength, huh? Without resistance, how can oppression bring joy?”

The rogue’s twisted logic actually made the Heavenly Demon nod repeatedly. “Gaa, gaa… you’re right. Opponents who are too weak really are no fun at all!”

Hearing this, Qiao San’s eyes lit up. Slowing his movements, he grinned slyly, “Heavenly Demon brother, since we share the same views, why not be friends and stop fighting? Heh, heh… Why must you destroy them? Leave the Three Realms intact for us to play with!”

The Heavenly Demon slightly retreated. Just as Qiao San felt a surge of hope and his killing intent dropped to its lowest, she suddenly lunged forward with a ferocity never seen before. “Gaa, gaa… Bold San, give me your life, and I’ll think about it.”

Qiao San, who had spent his life deceiving others, was finally deceived himself. He hadn’t expected the Heavenly Demon to play dirty either. Taken off guard, the rogue was struck downward, half his body thrown out of the treasure space, caught between illusion and reality, and the Star-Shifting Plate suddenly lost control.

On Earth, a child was playing in the courtyard when a chessboard suddenly appeared before him. Stranger still, a pair of feet “fell” out of the chessboard—only feet, no body, a most eerie sight.

“Waaah… Monster, waaah… save me, monster taking the child—”

Before the child’s cries could finish, the “monster” whooshed away in a flash of light.

Inside the treasure space, the rogue roared furiously, “Damn it, die already!”

He surged all his strength upward, slamming his head directly into the Heavenly Demon’s palm. A thunderous boom rang out like metal striking metal. The Heavenly Demon flipped backward in shock, while the rogue, having overexerted himself, once again shattered the treasure space.

This time, Qiao San’s body remained within the chessboard, but his head returned to the real world. Opening his eyes, he found himself in the celestial paradise, filled with mist and color, fragrant aromas wafting through the air.

Inside the treasure space, instinctively fighting the Heavenly Demon, his mouth suddenly sucked in, drawing a tempting immortal peach toward him.

“Hmph! What kind of monster are you, daring to steal my immortal peach?!”

A fiery fairy girl stood before Qiao San, arms akimbo, snatching back the peach that had flown toward his mouth.

Startled by the fairy, the rogue lost focus and was immediately struck hard by the Heavenly Demon, his face turning pale with pain. Yet he still didn’t retreat, swallowing hard as he begged, “Fairy, give me a peach, please!”

“Give you a peach? Well then, what’s in it for me?”

“Anything you want! No problem!”

Desperate for the tempting fruit, the rogue endured several heavy blows from the Heavenly Demon. Though the Tai Xu Divine Armor was miraculous, it now bore countless cracks.

“Hmph! Bragging! What if I want to become the Queen Mother of Heaven?”

“Sure, of course! You’re much cuter than the current Queen Mother. You’d definitely make a great new Queen!”

“Kya, kya… Deal! Here, have the biggest one!”

Never before flattered like this, the little fairy girl’s mood brightened instantly, and she quickly shoved a large, red peach into the rogue’s mouth.

“Heh, heh… Delicious!”

As soon as the peach entered his mouth, the rogue’s lips and tongue moved, and out came a peach pit. Satisfied, he whooshed back into the treasure space. With a flash, the Star-Shifting Plate flew elsewhere.

The peach thief vanished, and just as the fairy girl was about to leave, the discarded peach pit suddenly burrowed into the ground, rapidly sprouting roots, branches, and leaves. The first immortal fruit of Heaven—the Peaches of Immortality—was born. Even more unexpectedly, the fairy girl never imagined that the rogue’s playful words would come true. With the peach he had offered, she gained an audience with the Jade Emperor. And through her brief encounter with Qiao San, her status soared, and she smoothly ascended to become the new Queen Mother.

“Boom!”

A brilliant light suddenly crashed into the Primordial Wastes, instantly twisting the barren land. As smoke and dust still rose, two figures emerged from the void.

Qiao San glanced around, clearly satisfied. With a wave of his hand, the Star-Shifting Plate spread out like a celestial canopy, enveloping the space.
