Chapter 61: The Ultimate Battle of Combat Skills

After witnessing the successive battles among Agar, Mula, Iron Face, Reim, Wang, and others in the Sandra Forest, Zhang Wen had long realized that his current strength was nowhere near that of these freaks who possessed transcendent powers. If it were a fair one-on-one duel in an arena, even if he faced the weakest among the first five, Zhang Wen doubted whether he could last five minutes, let alone defeat them.

However, if they could set aside the massive disparity in combat power and simply engage in martial techniques alone, Zhang Wen was brimming with confidence. In this world, if he claimed second place, no one dared to call themselves first.

After reconnecting all the channels of his mental energy, Zhang Wen pulled down his visor and quickly accessed the main system of the Mental Combat Simulator, following the instructions given by Joliet and the other two girls.

Almost immediately, a beam of mental energy lit up in front of Zhang Wen, and soon he noticed a thick book-like interface floating in the darkness before him, resembling a dictionary suspended in midair. On the cover of this “dictionary,” elegant patterns were drawn in a distinctly “Federation” style.

Though Zhang Wen had never seen the Mental Combat Simulator before, he understood the principle behind this “dictionary” from his studies in the library. This was a technology known as “Mental Energy Projection.”

Human vision, at its core, was simply light from the outside world projecting onto the retina, then processed by the visual nerves and brain to create a direct sensory response. Thus, long ago, the Federation had proposed a theory: if mental energy beams could be controlled with extreme precision and projected directly onto the retina, they could generate extremely vivid visual effects.

The “dictionary” Zhang Wen now “saw” within the simulator was likely a practical application of this mental energy projection technology.

“Teacher Zhang!” Before Zhang Wen had spent much time contemplating the book, Amelis’s voice reached his ears.

“What should I do next?”

“Oh! Don’t rush. Wait a moment for Xiao Xi and Joliet… Now it’s ready! Teacher Zhang, you should have entered the main system by now. Do you see a thick book that looks like a dictionary?”

“I see it.”

“Great! The main system of the Mental Combat Simulator is operated using mental energy. Teacher Zhang, first, channel a bit of your mental energy into those two figures that look like they’re holding hands. That way, we can form a team.”

“Okay.” As instructed, Zhang Wen directed his mental energy toward the figures on the book’s cover.

“Ha! We see it, we see it!” Soon after, Zhang Wen heard the joyful cheers of the girls.

“Teacher Zhang, next, channel your mental energy into the red spot at the top right corner. Then the simulator will output mental energy to put you into a semi-dormant state.”

Zhang Wen followed Joliet’s instructions. Then he felt a sudden surge of mental energy flow into his body through the connection line of the simulator. Instantly, everything before his eyes turned pitch black. After a short while, a scroll appeared in the darkness. From the partially opened scroll, Zhang Wen could see countless names written on it.

“This is the interface for the ‘Trial Version of the Physical Combat Simulator,'” Amelis quickly explained before turning to excitedly talk with the other two girls.

“Do you remember what his name was?”

“Uh… Was it Laiser? Or Laisser?”

“It was Arthur!”

“Yeah! Arthur. Hmm… Not on this page. Let’s flip ahead quickly.”

As the three girls chattered, the scroll in front of Zhang Wen rapidly scrolled, names flashing by. Finally, the name “Arthur” appeared, and Xiao Xi immediately shouted in excitement.

“Found it!”

“Great, great. Let’s see if he’s available,” muttered Amelis, and with a gesture, she caused the name “Arthur” to glow faintly red.

“Just like a mental communicator, the simulator also has a calling function. Amelis is challenging him now,” Joliet whispered to Zhang Wen.

“Tch! Don’t hide, you bastard. Come out, come out…” Amelis muttered through clenched teeth, like casting a spell. Even without seeing her expression, Zhang Wen could tell from her voice that she still held a deep grudge over her previous defeat.

After Amelis had been muttering for quite some time, to the point where Zhang Wen almost thought the opponent wouldn’t show up, the name “Arthur” on the scroll suddenly turned green.

“Aha! He’s here!” Amelis and Xiao Xi shouted in unison.

In an instant, the scene before Zhang Wen changed completely. One moment he was in an endless void of darkness, and the next, he was standing in a brightly lit martial arts training hall. The illusion created by the mental energy projected onto his retina was so realistic that, aside from the floating scroll, he could hardly tell whether what he saw was real or not.

At the same time, as Zhang Wen became aware of his new surroundings, several other figures appeared inside the training hall. Obviously, these were the three girls who had teamed up with him, as well as the man called Arthur who had just connected with Amelis.

However, perhaps because this was only the “trial version,” the figures of the people Zhang Wen saw in the training hall were all identical in height and facial features, differing only in the colors of their uniforms.

“Who are you people? Why did you call me?” As soon as Arthur saw Zhang Wen and the others, he walked over and asked. Although the distance caused various interferences in the mental signal transmission, making Arthur’s voice slightly distorted after being processed by the simulator, the meaning behind his words was still clear.

“Hey! Don’t act so innocent! Don’t you remember? We fought just a couple of days ago!” Xiao Xi shouted angrily, pointing at Arthur.

“A couple of days ago?” Arthur seemed to recall something briefly, but his next words nearly made Xiao Xi jump in rage.

“I don’t remember fighting anyone.”

“Arthur, we did lose last time, but you’re really underestimating us now!” Even Joliet was provoked by Arthur’s outright denial.

While Amelis was calling Arthur, Joliet had already double-checked the combat records. She was certain they hadn’t made a mistake.

Therefore, from Joliet and the others’ perspective, Arthur’s words might as well have meant, “You weaklings are too insignificant. I defeat thousands like you every day. Why would I remember your names?”

“Fine! Since you don’t even remember fighting us, let’s skip the talk!” Xiao Xi, similarly interpreting Arthur’s words in her mind, waved her hand furiously and shouted again, “Let’s settle this now!”

“Oh? You want to challenge me?”

“Of course! We have to repay you for the beating you gave us the other day!”

“If that’s the case… Well then. I’m free anyway. I’ll play with you. All of you can come at once.”

Arthur said casually, casually drawing a virtual crystal energy sword and assuming a stance, waiting for his opponents to attack.

“Hmph! What do you mean by ‘all of you’? Don’t get too arrogant!” Amelis snorted coldly, then pointed randomly at Zhang Wen. “Today, you’re only fighting him!”

“Him alone?” Even though his voice was distorted, Zhang Wen and the others could still detect the surprise in Arthur’s tone.

“That’s right, just me,” Zhang Wen stepped forward, stopping Xiao Xi from shouting, and nodded confidently at Arthur.

“I think you should all come together. Otherwise, this fight won’t be meaningful for me. I don’t want to waste time.” Arthur continued speaking casually, drawing a virtual crystal energy sword and assuming a stance, waiting for his opponents to attack.

“Oh… You really are confident, aren’t you?” Zhang Wen’s lips twitched slightly. He had finally been provoked by Arthur’s arrogant attitude.

“Yes. In the real world, there might be a few people I couldn’t beat. But in this simulator, I don’t think there’s anyone who can defeat me. So, you should all come together!”

“Is that so?” Zhang Wen smirked, then similarly drew a virtual crystal energy sword from thin air. “Too bad… In the simulator, I’m just as confident too!”

“Are you asking for a beating?” Arthur’s confident tone and indifferent attitude almost made Zhang Wen speechless.

“Hehe. You know… A few days ago, I told someone else almost the same thing. It’s good to be confident, but if you go too far, you’ll end up paying the price.”

“That line should be mine to say.” Each word from Arthur seemed to pour oil onto the fire burning in Zhang Wen’s heart.

If Zhang Wen had initially wanted to fight Arthur merely to stand up for Amelis and the others, now he was truly driven by his own competitive spirit. For a martial artist, there was no way he could tolerate someone disrespecting him on his own turf!

“Alright, alright. Enough talking. Wasting time isn’t a good habit.” Zhang Wen smiled and swung his crystal energy sword a few times.

Before engaging his opponent, Zhang Wen naturally wanted to test how much difference there was between his simulated body in this “Physical Combat Simulator” and his real body.

However, after swinging the sword a few times, he realized that although this wasn’t his real body, it felt almost identical to the real world.

Full-body mental energy simulation? To be able to simulate a real body so accurately was truly impressive. The Federation’s mastery of precise mental energy control was clearly on a completely different level from the Empire’s.

Zhang Wen murmured in admiration, recalling the tangle of mental energy wires the three girls had attached all over him, making him look like an octopus-like creature.

“Well then. Since you insist on fighting alone, I’ll oblige. But let’s set the punishment level to maximum. That way, you’ll learn your lesson and won’t bother me again.” Arthur said matter-of-factly once more.

“Of course.” Zhang Wen’s lips twitched slightly as he displayed the interface for setting the punishment level to maximum in front of Arthur. To be honest, this was the first time Zhang Wen had felt such intense anger that it felt like it might burn a hole through his skull.

“Then let’s begin!” Arthur crouched down, holding his crystal energy sword in front of him. Zhang Wen followed suit, assuming the starting stance of the Spring Water Sword Technique.

The moment both Arthur and Zhang Wen took their stances, the training hall around them subtly changed. The three girls who had been behind Zhang Wen, along with all the decorations in the room, vanished instantly. All that remained was the wide open space between the two opponents.

When Arthur saw Zhang Wen’s stance, he looked slightly surprised. However, after waiting a moment and seeing that Zhang Wen made no move to attack, he seemed to think Zhang Wen was merely putting on a show.

“Aren’t you going to attack first? Then I’ll go first!” Arthur suddenly said coldly, his feet stomping the ground as he charged forward like an arrow released from a bow.

Judging purely by the movement, the technique Arthur used against Zhang Wen was almost identical to the Empire’s most popular “Thrust.” The only difference was that Arthur’s crystal energy sword was not fully extended in front of his body like most Empire martial artists who used the “Thrust” technique. Instead, it remained half-drawn at his waist, ready to be unleashed at any moment.

“Oh!” Though it was a simple movement, Zhang Wen couldn’t help but let out a soft exclamation.

As the saying goes, “A master reveals himself with a single move.” From Arthur’s initial charge, Zhang Wen could already tell that this opponent was completely different from any he had faced before!

In terms of martial techniques, Arthur had clearly conducted extensive research, developed unique insights, and likely even formulated many highly effective techniques. If most Empire martial artists with mediocre skills appeared to Zhang Wen as nothing more than “savages” relying on brute force, then the martial artist before him, Arthur, could clearly be considered a true “martial artist” who had mastered his craft!

No wonder he was so confident, believing that in this virtual world where no one could use combat energy, no one could defeat him. Unfortunately…

Zhang Wen secretly thought to himself. As Arthur rushed to his side, he suddenly stepped back swiftly, while his crystal energy sword traced a beautiful semicircle, just managing to deflect Arthur’s fierce thrust aimed at his waist to the side.

Watching Arthur hastily roll backward to avoid missing his strike, and then repositioning into a forward-leaning attacking stance, Zhang Wen couldn’t help but smile slightly, his lips curling upward.

“In a world where I now exist, your techniques, which are merely superficially researched and have never withstood the test of time, can only settle for second place.”

As this thought flashed through Zhang Wen’s mind, he suddenly gripped his crystal energy sword tightly. Just like how Arthur had charged at him moments ago, he pushed off the ground with both feet and darted sideways toward Arthur.

Facing Zhang Wen, who had suddenly appeared right in front of him, Arthur no longer had time to retreat like Zhang Wen had done before. He could only grit his teeth hard and twist his body to dodge sideways.

In fact, if Arthur were replaced by any other martial artist, the battle against Zhang Wen would have already reached a conclusion. Because as soon as Arthur dodged aside, Zhang Wen, as if anticipating his movement, silently and swiftly thrust a lightning-fast sword strike toward the direction Arthur had moved.

Even the most gifted martial artist, caught completely off guard, would have no chance of reacting in time to block Zhang Wen’s attack. Yet, Arthur managed to block it.

In the instant he dodged aside, Arthur, without any logic, swung his crystal energy sword toward his previously empty waist area. This illogical preemptive reaction blocked Zhang Wen’s nearly fatal strike.

To be honest, if someone could freeze time at that moment and ask Zhang Wen whether he was surprised that Arthur had blocked his strike, Zhang Wen would undoubtedly answer affirmatively.

However, during the battle, Zhang Wen remained completely calm, showing no surprise at Arthur’s impressive performance. The moment his deadly strike was blocked, he acted as if he had expected Arthur’s counter all along. His crystal energy sword suddenly changed direction, sliding along Arthur’s blade.

Creeeak… The simulator perfectly replicated the ear-splitting noise of the two crystal energy swords scraping against each other.

Arthur hadn’t expected at all that Zhang Wen’s attack, after being blocked, could still change tactics again! As Zhang Wen’s sword nearly slid up Arthur’s blade and was about to slice his fingers, Arthur’s combat instincts kicked in.

Drawing his sword, turning, and backflipping—all three actions were executed in one seamless, fluid motion, showcasing Arthur’s exceptional reflexes and extensive combat experience. It also caused Zhang Wen’s second wave of attack to miss entirely.

Still, it was unfortunate that Arthur faced Zhang Wen. While Arthur had pushed himself to give 120% of his strength—something that would have turned the tide against any other opponent—it still had no effect.

As Arthur pulled his sword and flipped backward, Zhang Wen followed like a shadow, sticking tightly to him. Close-quarters combat, the bane of most Imperial martial artists, was precisely Zhang Wen’s favorite style.

As soon as Arthur landed, Zhang Wen’s face was already right in front of him.

“Ugh!” Startled, Arthur instinctively thrust his crystal energy sword at Zhang Wen. However, the moment the sword moved, Arthur realized he had fallen for a trick.

Zhang Wen had been waiting precisely for Arthur’s strike. As Arthur swung his sword, Zhang Wen’s crystal energy sword extended forward, knocking aside Arthur’s attack.

At the same time, Zhang Wen’s body twisted lightly, using the force from Arthur’s strike to spin around. In the next moment, Zhang Wen had already appeared at Arthur’s unguarded left side.

“Enjoy this, thirty minutes of punishment time.” As he whispered this casually into Arthur’s ear, Zhang Wen’s sword slid past Arthur’s neck, cutting his throat.

Thud! Arthur’s virtual body fell realistically to the ground and then scattered into countless stars.

“Wow! Teacher Zhang, you’re truly… absolutely amazing!” Before Zhang Wen had even removed the helmet blocking his vision or detached the mind-energy transmission lines connected to his body after defeating Arthur, he already heard Amelice’s loud exclamation. Immediately after, the excited, sexy young beauty rushed over and threw herself onto Zhang Wen.

“Teacher Zhang, those final moves you used to defeat him were just so cool!”

Amelice, caught up in her excitement, didn’t care that there were two other girls in the room. She lifted her skirt, straddled Zhang Wen’s waist, and stared into his face with her sparkling eyes.

“Hmm… Garret, don’t you think that the Arthur who fought Zhang Wen today was a bit stronger than the one we saw last time?” Xia Xi also pushed her helmet aside, thoughtfully asking the girl beside her.

“Yeah, I also felt like Arthur was a little stronger today. Ah! Amelice, what… what are you doing? Get off Teacher Zhang right now!” Garret, halfway through answering Xia Xi’s question, suddenly noticed that Amelice had exposed her thighs while clinging to Zhang Wen and hurriedly shouted.

“Hehe, jealous already? If not, why don’t you come and sit too?” Amelice, meeting Garret’s flustered gaze, not only refused to move away from Zhang Wen but also teased Garret further.

“…No… no way!” Garret blushed furiously, her face turning as red as a ripe apple.

“Hahaha!” Finally, Amelice burst into laughter and jumped off Zhang Wen.

“Alright! Zhang Wen, I have to look at you differently now too!” Xia Xi also approached seriously, nodding while stroking her chin.

“Little girl, don’t try to act like an adult!” Zhang Wen laughed, reaching out to ruffle Xia Xi’s fiery red hair.

“Ah! Stop it, stop it!” Xia Xi hurriedly shouted.

“Okay then! I’ll let you off this time! Amelice, come with me!” In high spirits, Zhang Wen withdrew his teasing hand from Xia Xi’s head, smiling as he called out to Amelice and left Xia Xi’s room.

In fact, Zhang Wen’s happiness at this moment was not only because he had defeated Arthur in the game and shown off in front of his students. It was because after this battle with Arthur, Zhang Wen suddenly realized that although the “Body Combat Simulator” experience version was still just a game console for most martial artists, for his three students, using it to practice the techniques of Spring Water Method was excellent training!

Hehe! Amelice, don’t blame me for being ruthless. From now on, just pray for yourself! As Zhang Wen walked toward Zack’s room with Amelice, he glanced at her cheerful expression and a mischievous smile formed on his lips.

Unaware of the impending doom, Amelice followed Zhang Wen’s footsteps, unknowingly heading toward her hellish future. Meanwhile, on the other side of the universe, in the Imperial Capital, a girl with beautiful silver hair, around eighteen or nineteen years old, gritted her teeth, enduring the “tickle torture” that had befallen her.

Wave after wave of mind-energy surged through the simulator’s lines into the silver-haired girl’s body. Among these waves, the mind-energy that felt like feathers brushing against the soles of her feet was especially unbearable. Each time the tickling mind-energy appeared, the silver-haired girl couldn’t help but let out a series of moans, uncertain whether they were from pain or pleasure. Her hands clenched into fists, her bare feet tensed tightly, and her ten cute toes curled together.

The unbearable ticklish sensation continued for a full half-hour, but the silver-haired girl kept herself under strict control, not showing the slightest sign of losing composure. However, when the torment finally ended, the special training suit she wore was completely soaked in sweat. The tight-fitting garment clung to her body, outlining her delicate figure.

“Phew!” After stepping off the simulator, the girl exhaled deeply. After a brief moment of vulnerability, she straightened her back again, her usual iron-willed determination returning as she pushed open the training room door.

Outside the training room, a black-haired woman, appearing about four or five years older than the girl and radiating a gentle older-sister vibe, immediately approached and draped a large towel over the girl’s shoulders.

“Thank you, Jennifer,” the silver-haired girl nodded slightly.

“You’re welcome,” the black-haired woman smiled in response.

“Has anyone used my training room in the past two days?” the silver-haired girl asked while wiping sweat, heading toward the changing room.

“Um. The eldest princess Sophia came to see you the day before yesterday. She said she had some questions about the sword techniques you taught her last time and wanted further clarification. But you were in an audience with the Emperor then, so Princess Sophia spent two hours in your training room.”

“I see. I understand,” came the authoritative voice from the changing room.

“Today’s training session lasted twenty minutes longer than usual. Did something happen?”

“Oh! I met a very interesting person,” the silver-haired girl’s voice carried a hint of amusement. However, that hint of amusement was fleeting, quickly replaced by the ever-present authority.

Zhang Wen silently thought to himself. The moment Arthur rushed to his side, he suddenly retreated two steps backward, while the energy sword in his hand traced a graceful semicircle, deftly deflecting Arthur’s thrust aimed at his waist. Watching Arthur, who had missed his strike, quickly roll back and assume a forward-leaning attack stance, Zhang Wen couldn’t help but smile, the corners of his mouth curling upward.

Since I exist in this world, your moves, which are only superficially studied and have never stood the test of time, can only compete for second place. Zhang Wen’s thoughts flashed, and he suddenly tightened his grip on the energy sword. Just as Arthur had charged at him earlier, Zhang Wen pushed off the ground with both feet and dashed toward Arthur, turning his body sideways.

Facing Zhang Wen, who appeared in front of him in the blink of an eye, Arthur had no time to retreat as Zhang Wen had done. He could only grit his teeth and twist his body to dodge to the side. In fact, if Arthur had been any other martial artist, the fight with Zhang Wen would likely have ended in defeat at this point. Because as Arthur dodged, Zhang Wen, as if anticipating his move, silently thrust his sword like lightning in the direction Arthur was evading.

Even the most talented martial artist, caught off guard, would never be able to react in time to block Zhang Wen’s strike. Yet, Arthur did. The moment he dodged, Arthur inexplicably swung his energy sword toward his empty side. It was this seemingly irrational preemptive reaction that blocked Zhang Wen’s near-fatal strike.

Honestly, if someone could stop time at this moment and ask Zhang Wen if he was surprised that Arthur had blocked his thrust, he would undoubtedly answer in the affirmative. However, in the heat of battle, Zhang Wen’s mind remained as calm as still water, showing no surprise at Arthur’s exceptional performance. The instant his fatal strike was blocked, Zhang Wen, as if he had already anticipated Arthur’s move, suddenly changed the direction of his energy sword, pressing it against Arthur’s blade and sliding upward along it.

Sss… The simulation device perfectly mimicked the grating noise of two energy swords scraping against each other.

Arthur had not expected that Zhang Wen’s attack could still change after being blocked! As Zhang Wen’s energy sword almost slid up Arthur’s blade, threatening to cut his fingers, Arthur’s combat instincts kicked in.

He withdrew his sword, turned, and backflipped. These three seamless, perfectly executed movements fully demonstrated Arthur’s exceptional reflexes and extensive combat experience, causing Zhang Wen’s second wave of attacks to miss once again.

But it must be said, unfortunately for Arthur, his opponent was Zhang Wen. In the face of Zhang Wen at his peak, even Arthur’s ultimate move, which would have turned the tide against any other opponent, proved utterly ineffective.

As Arthur withdrew his sword and flipped back, Zhang Wen clung to him like a shadow. Close-quarters combat, the style most dreaded by the majority of imperial martial artists, happened to be Zhang Wen’s forte.

The moment Arthur landed, Zhang Wen’s face was already in front of him.

“Ugh!” Startled, Arthur reflexively thrust his energy sword at Zhang Wen. But as soon as he swung his sword, Arthur realized he had been tricked.

Zhang Wen had already anticipated Arthur’s thrust. As Arthur swung his sword, Zhang Wen’s energy sword pushed forward, deflecting Arthur’s blade.

At the same time, Zhang Wen’s body lightly turned, using the force of Arthur’s thrust. In the next moment, Zhang Wen appeared at Arthur’s defenseless left side.

“Enjoy your thirty-minute penalty,” Zhang Wen whispered nonchalantly in Arthur’s ear as his sword slid past Arthur’s neck, cutting his throat.

Thud! Arthur’s virtual body fell lifelessly, then dissipated into a shower of starlight.

“Wow! Teacher Zhang, you’re… you’re amazing!” Just as Zhang Wen, who had defeated Arthur, pushed aside the helmet obstructing his vision and hadn’t even removed the neural transmission lines connected to him, he heard Amilis’s excited shout. Immediately, the excited and sexy young beauty, carrying a whiff of fragrance, pounced onto Zhang Wen.

“Teacher Zhang, those last moves you used to defeat him were so cool!”

In her excitement, Amilis didn’t care that there were two other girls in the room. She lifted her skirt, spread her legs, and knelt on Zhang Wen’s waist, her sparkling eyes fixed intently on his face.

“Hmm… Jalit, don’t you think that Arthur who fought Zhang Wen today was a bit stronger than the one we saw last time?” Xiao Xi also pushed aside her helmet and thoughtfully asked Jalit beside her.

“Yeah. I also think Arthur seemed a bit stronger today. Ah! Amilis, what… what are you doing? Get off Teacher Zhang right now!” Jalit, halfway through answering Xiao Xi’s question, suddenly noticed that Amilis, clinging to Zhang Wen, had even exposed her thighs under her skirt, and she hurriedly shouted.

“Hehe, jealous? Why don’t you come up here too?” Meeting Jalit’s flustered gaze, Amilis not only didn’t leave Zhang Wen but also cheekily teased Jalit.

“…Th-this… how can this be?!” Jalit’s face turned as red as a ripe apple.

“Haha!” Amilis finally laughed and jumped off Zhang Wen.

“Hmm! Zhang Wen, I have to take a new look at you too!” Xiao Xi also walked up seriously, nodding repeatedly while stroking her chin.

“Little girl, stop pretending to be an adult!” Zhang Wen laughed heartily and reached out to ruffle Xiao Xi’s fiery red hair.

“Ah! Stop it, stop it!” Xiao Xi hurriedly shouted.

“Alright! I’ll let you off this time! Amilis, come with me!” In high spirits, Zhang Wen withdrew his hand from Xiao Xi’s head and called Amilis, leading her out of Xiao Xi’s room.

In fact, Zhang Wen’s joy wasn’t just because he had defeated Arthur in the game and shown off in front of his students. It was because, after the battle with Arthur, Zhang Wen suddenly realized that although the “Combat Simulator” beta version was still just a game console for most martial artists, for his three students, using it to practice the moves of the Spring Water Technique was an excellent form of training!

Hehe! Amilis, don’t blame me for being harsh. From now on, you’re on your own! As Zhang Wen walked toward the rooms of Zacks and the others, he glanced at the elated Amilis, and a mischievous smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

The “ignorant” Amilis followed Zhang Wen’s footsteps, slowly walking toward her hellish future. Meanwhile, on the imperial capital planet at the other end of the universe, a beautiful silver-haired girl, about eighteen or nineteen years old, bit her lip, enduring the “tickling hell” that had befallen her.

Wave after wave of psychic energy, transmitted through the neural lines of the Combat Simulator, invaded the silver-haired girl’s body. Among these waves, the psychic energy that swept across the soles of her feet like feathers was especially unbearable for her. Every time the energy swept across her soles, the silver-haired girl couldn’t help but let out a series of moans that were a mix of pain and pleasure. Her hands clenched into fists, her bare feet tensed, and her ten adorable toes curled tightly.

The unbearable tickling lasted for a full half hour, but the silver-haired girl managed to control herself throughout, not showing any sign of losing composure. However, when the torment finally ended, the girl’s specially designed training suit was soaked with sweat. The tight-fitting suit clung to her body, outlining her delicate figure.

“Phew!” Stepping off the Combat Simulator, the girl let out a long breath. After a brief moment of weakness, she straightened her back, exuding the same iron-willed determination as always, and pushed open the training room door.

Outside the training room, a black-haired woman, about four or five years older than the girl and exuding a gentle, elder-sisterly demeanor, immediately stepped forward and draped a large towel over the girl.

“Thank you, Jennifer,” the silver-haired girl nodded gently in gratitude.

“You’re welcome,” the black-haired woman smiled in response.

“Has anyone used my training room in the past two days?” The silver-haired girl wiped her sweat and walked toward the changing room nearby.

“Yes. Princess Sophia came looking for you the day before yesterday. She said there were some aspects of the sword techniques you taught her last time that she still didn’t understand and wanted to ask for your guidance again. But you were in an audience with His Majesty at the time, so Princess Sophia spent two hours in your training room.”

“Is that so? I see,” the silver-haired girl’s authoritative voice came from the changing room.

“Today’s training took twenty minutes longer than usual. Did something happen?”

“Ah! I encountered a very interesting individual,” the silver-haired girl’s voice carried a hint of amusement. However, the amusement lasted only a moment before it was replaced by her usual commanding tone.

“Let’s set aside my personal training for now. A few days ago, Remu and Mura sent word that the mission in Casares is complete. Shouldn’t they be returning in the next couple of days?”

“Yes. The Apollo is expected to arrive at the imperial capital spaceport tomorrow.”

“Notify me as soon as they reach the capital. We can’t let His Majesty act recklessly with the society’s affairs,” the silver-haired girl said as she pushed open the changing room door, now dressed in her uniform.

The black-haired woman, with an elder-sisterly demeanor, scanned the silver-haired girl’s imposing figure, ensuring her uniform was flawless, before bowing respectfully and softly saying,

“As you command, Commander-in-Chief!”

“Yes. The Apollo is expected to arrive at the Imperial Capital spaceport tomorrow.”

“As soon as they arrive in the capital, notify me immediately. The affairs of the Society must not be left to the Emperor’s whims.”

With that, the silver-haired girl pushed open the changing room door.

After scanning the silver-haired girl’s sharp and commanding figure and confirming that her uniform was impeccable, the gentle, older black-haired woman finally nodded in satisfaction, bowing respectfully and softly uttering,

“As you command, Commander!”
