Chapter 337: The Raven Woman (Part 5)

Seeing the two lines of bloody tears, Shui Miao felt a pang in his heart. After all, who in their right mind would willingly become a monster?

Shui Miao sensed her injustice, her helplessness.

Moved by Shui Miao’s words, the Crow Girl’s resentment began to gradually subside.

Feeling this change, Shui Miao couldn’t help but feel compassion and an intense desire to help her.

She hadn’t risen from the coffin; she was still lying inside because she feared the sunlight.

Shui Miao saw everything and, full of concern, asked gently, “Do you still have any family or friends? Tell me, maybe I can help you further.”

“I… I still have a son,” the Crow Girl replied, her bloody tears still flowing.

Shui Miao took a deep breath. “In this state, who will take care of your son?”

“I don’t know, I don’t know!”

The Crow Girl suddenly burst into even more heart-wrenching sobs.

Shui Miao frowned slightly. “Alright, don’t cry anymore. I’m glad to see your heart hasn’t been completely overtaken by demonic influence. I’ll find a way to help you. But you must tell me everything—how exactly did you become the Crow Girl?”

“Thank you, thank you so much, kind benefactor! It was all because of that evil Crow Patriarch! He said my birth chart was extremely rare—I was born with pure yin energy. He wanted me for himself, so he could cultivate with me. He killed my parents and my husband, then threatened me: if I refused to become his woman, he would kill my son! I had no choice—I couldn’t find anyone to help me, so I had to obey. But in my heart, I was deeply resentful! Last night, following his orders, I was supposed to obtain pure yang blood to refine a corpse, but I met you, and I gave up…”

“I see!”

Shui Miao suddenly understood. It was all the doing of the Crow Patriarch. The true villain was him. The Crow Girl’s mention of the pure yang blood must have referred to Wang Rong.

Some things didn’t need further explanation.

Seeing these two lines of bloody tears, Shui Miao felt a pang of sorrow in his heart. No one in their right mind would willingly choose to become a monster.

He could sense her grievance and her helplessness.

His words had moved the Crow Woman, causing the resentment around her to gradually diminish.

Sensing this change, Shui Miao couldn’t help but feel compassion, an overwhelming desire to help her.

She hadn’t risen from the coffin, still lying inside because she feared the sunlight.

Noticing this, Shui Miao asked with concern, “Do you still have any family or friends? Tell me, perhaps I can help you further.”

“I… I have a son,” the Crow Woman replied, her bloody tears still flowing.

Shui Miao took a deep breath. “If you’ve become like this, who will take care of your son?”

“I don’t know, I don’t know!”

The Crow Woman burst into even more heart-wrenching sobs.

Shui Miao frowned. “Alright, don’t cry. I’m relieved that your heart hasn’t been completely corrupted by demonic influence. I will find a way to help you. But you must tell me the whole story—how did you become the Crow Woman?”

“Thank you… thank you, kind savior! It was all the doing of that vile Crow Patriarch! He said my birth chart was extremely rare, that I possessed a pure Yin body. To possess me and cultivate with me, he killed my parents and my husband. Then he threatened me, saying if I didn’t agree to be his woman, he would kill my son! I had no choice… I couldn’t find anyone to help me. I had to submit, but I was filled with resentment! Last night, following his orders, I was supposed to obtain pure Yang blood to refine a corpse, but then I met you… and I gave up.”

“So that’s how it is!”

Shui Miao suddenly understood—it was all the Crow Patriarch’s doing. The real villain was him, and the Crow Woman was innocent. The possessor of the pure Yang blood she mentioned must be Wang Rong.

Some things didn’t need too much explanation.

Shui Miao’s mind raced as he quickly formulated a plan. The primordial power of the Natural Dao stele could restore evil beings to their original form. If he could harness that power and control it properly, he might be able to help the Crow Woman revert to her former self. But to do so, he would need to use the Crow Patriarch’s soul to strike the Natural Dao stele.

There was no other way to draw out the primordial power of the Natural Dao without using a demon’s soul.

Having decided on a course of action, Shui Miao spoke to the Crow Woman: “Here’s what we’ll do. I’ll channel some sacred spiritual energy into you to make you stronger. Then, without delay, we’ll go find the Crow Patriarch. If we’re lucky, I might have a way to restore you to your original form.”

“Great Immortal, if you can avenge me and help me return to how I was, I… I…”

The Crow Woman suddenly realized she had nothing left to offer Shui Miao in return.

Shui Miao waved his hand. “There’s no need for gratitude. I am merely following the natural order, doing what I believe is right. Helping you is, in itself, a form of cultivation.”

With these words, Shui Miao immediately channeled Yin Saint Spirit energy into the Crow Woman, cleansing her essence and refining her marrow, enhancing her cultivation so she would no longer fear sunlight.

Time passed, moment by moment.

The others grew anxious and quietly approached to peek into the coffin. But when they saw the Crow Woman inside, they were so frightened they quickly retreated.

Soon, over an hour had passed.

Shui Miao finally moved, taking a few steps back but keeping his eyes fixed on the coffin.

The Crow Woman climbed out of the coffin and stood on the ground, spreading a pair of enormous black wings! Her eyes were no longer blood-red but had returned to their normal color—clear and bright, with distinct black and white. Except for her face, the rest of her body had transformed into that of a massive crow!

“How do you feel?”

Shui Miao licked his lips, feeling excited. If the Crow Woman was originally created by the Crow Patriarch, then now, she was partly his creation as well. “Why don’t you try to see if you can fly?”

“Okay!”

The Crow Woman herself could hardly believe it, but the thought that Shui Miao could restore her eased her worries. She nodded with a hint of excitement and began flapping her wings. Fully extended, her wingspan reached nearly five meters. With each beat, gusts of wind stirred up dust and sent plants flying.

The others quickly stepped back, watching in stunned silence.

After two minutes, the Crow Woman shook her head at Shui Miao. “It’s no use. I can’t fly. Maybe I’m too heavy.”

“It’s alright. Let’s proceed as we are. Let’s go.”

Shui Miao nodded to the Crow Woman and invited her into his car.

The convoy set off, heading deep into the mountains.

After about two hours, the vehicles stopped in the mountainous terrain, and everyone got out.

Before them stood two relatively small mountains, emanating an eerie Yin energy. The mountains were densely covered with strange, pitch-black plants, creating a sinister and unsettling sight.

“Wow! What are those plants on the mountain? Why are they so black?!”

Lin Xue looked at the others in astonishment, hoping for an answer.

After getting out of the car, the Crow Woman replied, “Those are plants called Black Mages. The Crow Patriarch is hiding inside the mountain, but he’s not the only monster here. There’s also a strange monk—I suspect he’s a monster too. He lives in the mountain as well.”

“Let me sense it…”

Shui Miao took a few steps forward, closed his eyes, and focused. He sensed that the Crow Patriarch was hiding in a cave.

There was no monk anywhere on or inside the two mountains.

“There’s no monk on the mountain. Perhaps the monk you saw was the Crow Patriarch in disguise,” Shui Miao said to the Crow Woman. “I’ll go ahead. Follow me quickly.” With these words, Shui Miao channeled his immortal power and, after a few leaps, disappeared from everyone’s sight, vanishing into the mountains.

“Amazing! He really is a great immortal!”

The Crow Woman was thrilled to see Shui Miao’s incredible agility. She flapped her wings and ran toward the mountain. After covering several dozen meters, she unexpectedly took flight…

“……”

The others, who had never seen Shui Miao display such power, were completely awestruck.

Witnessing such a miracle, everyone felt a mix of emotions and eagerly rushed toward the mountain, curious to see how Shui Miao would defeat the monsters.

Shui Miao reached the cave entrance in one breath and immediately used his Soul Devouring power to seal it.

After taking a few steps into the cave, he faintly saw a massive “Black Mage” inside—a plant resembling a lotus, atop which sat a gigantic figure, tall and dark like a black tower. The figure wore black robes, a string of white skull prayer beads around its neck, and had thick eyebrows that reached its shoulders—a great monk!

Some things didn’t need too much explanation.

Shui Miao’s mind raced as he quickly formulated a plan. The primordial power of the Natural Dao stele could restore evil beings to their original form. If he could harness the primordial power of the Natural Dao and control it precisely, he might be able to help the Crow Woman revert to her former self. But this required using the Crow Patriarch’s soul to strike the Natural Dao stele.

Aside from using a demon’s soul to strike the stele, Shui Miao had no other way to draw out the primordial power of the Natural Dao.

Having settled on a plan, Shui Miao spoke to the Crow Woman: “Here’s what we’ll do. I will now channel some sacred spiritual energy into you to make you stronger. “It’s alright. Let’s proceed as we are. We should get going.”

Shui Miao nodded to the Crow Woman and invited her into his car.

The convoy set off, heading deep into the mountains.

After about two hours, the vehicles stopped in the mountainous terrain, and everyone got out.

Before them stood two relatively small mountains, exuding an eerie, sinister aura. The mountains were densely covered with strange, pitch-black plants, creating a bizarre and ominous sight.

The Crow Woman was thrilled to see Shui Miao’s extraordinary skills. She flapped her wings and ran toward the mountain. After covering several dozen meters, she unexpectedly took flight…

The plant resembled a lotus, and seated upon it was a gigantic figure—tall and dark like a black tower, clad in black robes, with a string of white skull prayer beads around his neck and thick eyebrows that reached his shoulders. It was a great monk!

After finalizing his plan, Shui Miao immediately said to the Crow Girl, “Here’s what we’ll do. I’ll now channel some holy spirit energy into you to strengthen you, and then we must act quickly. We’ll go find the Crow Patriarch together. If we’re lucky, I might find a way to restore you to your original self.”

“Immortal Master, if you can help me get revenge and return me to how I was before, I… I…”

The Crow Girl suddenly realized she had nothing left to offer Shui Miao in return.

Shui Miao waved his hand. “You don’t need to thank me. I’m simply following the way of nature, doing what I believe is right. Helping you—how is this not cultivating the Dao itself?”

With that, Shui Miao immediately activated the Yin Holy Spirit to refine and purify the Crow Girl’s body, enhancing her cultivation and making her no longer fear sunlight.

Time passed, moment by moment.

The others grew impatient and quietly approached to peek into the coffin. But upon seeing the Crow Girl inside, they were so frightened they immediately retreated.

Soon, more than an hour had passed.

At last, Shui Miao moved, slowly stepping back a few paces, though his eyes never left the coffin.

The Crow Girl climbed out of the coffin, standing on the ground with a pair of massive black wings unfurling behind her. Her eyes were no longer blood-red, but had returned to normal—clear and expressive. Except for her face, the rest of her body had transformed into a gigantic crow.

“How do you feel?”

Shui Miao licked his lips, somewhat excited. If the Crow Girl had originally been created by the Crow Patriarch, then now she was half his creation too. “Why don’t you try flying?”

“Alright!”

The Crow Girl herself found it hard to believe, but thinking that Shui Miao might restore her completely, she felt less worried. With a hint of excitement, she nodded and began flapping her wings. Fully extended, her wings spanned five meters. As she flapped, gusts of wind blew up dust and scattered grass and leaves.

Everyone quickly stepped back, watching in stunned amazement.

After two minutes, the Crow Girl shook her head at Shui Miao. “No luck, I can’t fly. Maybe I’m just too heavy.”

“No problem. Let’s go as we are.”

Shui Miao nodded and invited the Crow Girl into his car.

The convoy moved forward, heading deep into the mountains.

About two hours later, the convoy stopped in a mountainous area, and everyone got out.

Before them stood two small hills—not large, but exuding a strong aura of yin energy. Looking closer, the hills were densely covered with strange black plants, creating a dark, eerie landscape.

“Wow! What kind of plants are these? Why are they so dark?”

Lin Xue was shocked and looked to the others for answers.

After stepping out of the car, the Crow Girl replied, “These are called Black Magicians. The Crow Patriarch is hiding inside the mountain. But there’s not just him—there’s also a strange monk living here. I suspect he’s also a demon.”

“Let me sense it…”

Shui Miao took a few steps forward, closed his eyes, and sensed the Crow Patriarch hiding inside a cave.

Yet, throughout the two mountains, there was no sign of any monk.

“There’s no monk on the mountain. The monk you saw might have been the Crow Patriarch in disguise.” Shui Miao looked at the Crow Girl and said, “I’ll go ahead first. Follow me closely.” With that, he fully activated his immortal energy, leapt a few times, and vanished from everyone’s sight, disappearing into the mountains.

“Wow! He really is an immortal!”

Seeing Shui Miao’s incredible skill, the Crow Girl was overjoyed. She flapped her wings and ran toward the hill. After running about thirty meters, she actually took flight…

“…”

None of them had ever seen Shui Miao this powerful before. At this moment, their entire perception of reality was shaken.

Witnessing such a miracle, everyone’s hearts were stirred with complex emotions. They couldn’t wait to see how Shui Miao would vanquish the demons and rushed toward the hills.

Shui Miao reached the cave entrance in one breath and immediately activated his Spirit Devouring Power to block the cave entrance.

After taking a few steps into the cave, Shui Miao saw a huge “Black Magician” plant inside. It resembled a lotus, and sitting atop it was a massive monk-like figure. This figure was as tall as a black tower, wearing a black robe, with a string of white skull prayer beads around his neck, and thick eyebrows stretching down to his shoulders.
