Chapter 503: The Great Golden Immortal Arrives

“Who are you?”

Suddenly, Cai Enkang, the high-ranking official, and Director Zhang, along with a group of police officers, emerged from the factory office.

Everyone was startled when they saw a giant monk clad in crimson and gold.

A group of special forces and police officers quickly surrounded the crimson and golden monk.

“Don’t move! Raise your hands!”

“If you don’t surrender immediately, we will open fire!”

Several uninformed officers mistook Chi Futuo for an ordinary person.

Chi Futuo turned around, glancing at the police before looking at Cai Enkang. “You insignificant mortals, having cultivated only a bit of spiritual power, dare to challenge me?”

“No!”

Cai Enkang could tell that Chi Futuo was hovering slightly above the ground, glowing with golden light. He was definitely no ordinary person. “Esteemed master, you’ve misunderstood. I simply didn’t know the situation—I certainly meant no disrespect toward you.”

“Hmph! At least you know your place!”

Chi Futuo turned again, raising his golden bowl toward Shui Miao. “Boy, if you don’t move aside right now, I’ll capture you too!”

“Don’t listen to his nonsense! His golden bowl can only capture demons and monsters. He can’t touch ordinary people like you,” the middle-aged male ghost, seeing Shui Miao as his last hope, quickly blurted out.

“Hmph! Wu Laogui, you’re too naive. You think a mere mortal can stop me? I’m simply being merciful and giving him a chance. Now, Shui Miao, I ask you for the last time—will you step aside or not?” Chi Futuo’s voice was loud and deep, shaking the air around them.

“Freaky monk, if you’ve got the guts, go ahead and kill me.”

Shui Miao sneered coldly, showing no fear of Chi Futuo.

“Fine!”

“This is your own doing!”

Chi Futuo had been born in the Buddhist realm, of noble status. To him, mortals were no better than filth. Yet today, he had been openly disrespected by a mere human, which greatly irritated him.

“Whoosh!”

Suddenly, Chi Futuo transformed into a streak of golden light, shooting toward Shui Miao. In a flash of lightning, there came a loud “Bang!” as Shui Miao was struck in the chest by Chi Futuo’s fist and sent flying, landing more than ten meters away on the muddy ground. A numbness surged through his chest and he instinctively spat out a mouthful of blood. Though pain twisted his face, Shui Miao, relying on his iron will, managed to remain conscious.

“Brother!”

Cai Enkang shouted and rushed toward Shui Miao.

“He’s a monster—open fire!”

Director Zhang, furious, yelled and immediately drew his pistol, firing directly at Chi Futuo.

Hearing the gunfire, the other police and special forces also opened fire.

Chi Futuo was silently chanting a spell to capture Wu Laogui. Though impervious to blades and bullets, the sheer force of the bullets pushed him backward continuously. Even the golden bowl in his hand was riddled with holes.

“You’re asking for death!”

Chi Futuo roared furiously, suddenly erupting again into a streak of golden light, instantly sending the police, special forces, and Director Zhang flying. He snatched all their guns and twisted them into tangled knots.

The special forces commander and the high-ranking official, witnessing this, felt their scalps tingle and instinctively stepped back.

The high-ranking official had originally doubted the inexplicable disappearance of the thousand-year-old bronze coffin. But seeing Chi Futuo now, he finally believed that gods and ghosts truly existed in the world. His legs trembled and he collapsed onto the ground.

“Hahaha!”

Chi Futuo laughed triumphantly. “You’re all just ordinary mortals. Now you know my might! Hahahaha!”

The police and special forces were all seriously injured, and Director Zhang had also been beaten badly, spitting blood.

Shui Miao was gravely injured and unable to move.

Cai Enkang unbuttoned Shui Miao’s shirt and saw his chest had caved in—he realized Shui Miao might not survive.

A new friend had been killed just after they met!

Furious, Cai Enkang immediately turned around, pointing at Chi Futuo and shouting, “What kind of monk are you? You use your strength to bully the weak, strike with such cruelty, and show no compassion. You’re unworthy of being a deity, unworthy of being a monk. Do you think you’re so mighty? Fine, I’ll show you what ‘there’s always someone stronger’ really means!”

“You? Against me?”

Chi Futuo looked Cai Enkang up and down, shaking his head. “Are you mortals just tired of living? You’re like ants, daring to challenge me?”

“Heh… hehehe…”

Cai Enkang sneered coldly, immediately sitting cross-legged on the ground and pulling out a talisman from his body. He waved it, and the talisman suddenly caught fire…

Seeing this, Chi Futuo was momentarily stunned. “You’re a disciple of Yuxu Sect!?”

Remaining expressionless, Cai Enkang continued chanting incantations while sitting cross-legged.

“Damn it! You’re invoking the urgent celestial appeal spell to summon a Great Immortal of Golden Immortality! But you’re too late,” Chi Futuo raised his hand, a ball of fire appearing in his palm. “It’ll take at least half an incense stick’s time for the Immortal to arrive here. Unless there’s already a Golden Immortal of your Yuxu Sect here in the human world—which is impossible! Before they arrive, I’ll reduce you to ashes first.”

“Whoosh!”

Chi Futuo waved his hand, and the fireball transformed into a massive fireball, instantly engulfing Cai Enkang.

“Xiu!”

Suddenly, a streak of white light flashed. The fireball around Cai Enkang silently shattered into pieces, scattering in all directions. A celestial being wearing a white robe, with white hair and eyebrows, yet possessing the youthful face of a man in his twenties, holding a green sword, appeared before Cai Enkang. He stroked his beard, looked at Chi Futuo, and coldly smiled. “So it’s you, the evil monk. After causing chaos at Ling Shuai Mansion, you’ve come to the mortal world to wreak havoc again?”

The immortal spoke slowly and calmly, showing no sign of being intimidated by Chi Futuo.

Chi Futuo wasn’t frightened at all. Instead, he sneered maliciously. “Just you? If it’s only you, killing you would be as easy as swatting a fly.”

“Haha! This monk sure has a big mouth. Brother, are you scared?”

“Xiu!”

Another immortal appeared. This one had a deep, booming voice, red hair and a youthful face, wearing red battle armor and wielding a pair of fiery red hammers engraved with yin-yang trigrams.

“Two’s not enough—add me to the mix.”

“Xiu!”

From another direction, a third immortal appeared. This Golden Immortal wore black robes and held a thick black chain in his hand, making him look like a dark messenger of death.

Three Golden Immortals had arrived at once.

Indeed, these three Golden Immortals were the three Great Immortals sent by the Yuxu Sect to capture Shui Miao in the mortal world.

Seeing the three Golden Immortals, Chi Futuo couldn’t help but feel a bit uneasy.

“Evil monk, more immortals from our Yuxu Sect will soon arrive. I believe today will become the most unforgettable day of your life,” Cai Enkang stood up, clenching his fists and gritting his teeth. “You dared to kill my brother Shui Miao. I’ll make you pay for his blood with your own!”

“Hmm?”

“Shui Miao?”

Upon hearing the name “Shui Miao,” the three Great Immortals of the Yuxu Sect were all visibly stirred.
