Chapter 329: Retribution

“Since we share the same goal…” Chen Junnan said, “it doesn’t matter whether I’m an ‘extremist’ or not. Can we cooperate now?”

“Sure. ‘Long Live Extremism’ will lead us to victory.” Yan Zhichun grinned. “I’ll activate my ability. The person to my left is already deaf, but I can control the one in front of me. Both of us will choose ‘Yes,’ but with you included, there are six people in total. We still need two more to choose ‘Yes.'”

“Don’t worry. Besides me, there’s another reliable teammate.” Chen Junnan patted the wooden ceiling and said to Yan Zhichun, “Sister Chun, if this works, don’t rush off. I’ll treat you to a meal.”

“Deal. I’ll hold you to it.”

On the thirty-sixth round, Chen Junnan landed in a room and casually pressed ‘Yes’ on the screen. Then he vaulted over the roof, following the massive chains until he reached Disnake’s room, hiding nearby to observe.

He calculated the voting situation: Yan Zhichun was flanked by Xu Qian and Zhong Zhen, both likely to choose ‘Yes.’ Adding himself and Yun Yao, this was the first time everyone was united in their choice.

Even if one of them backed out, it would still be four against two. This battle couldn’t be lost.

Sure enough, Disnake’s screen flickered before slowly displaying a message:

**”The final answer to this question is—’Yes.'”**

Disnake shuddered, quickly stepping closer to the screen before cautiously looking up.

His eyes immediately locked onto Chen Junnan, who was hiding near the ceiling.

“You little—!!” Disnake snarled through clenched teeth. “What the hell are you doing?”

“I’m screwing you over.” Chen Junnan smirked. “Old pervert, rot in hell.”

With that, he slowly maneuvered himself closer to Disnake’s room, then closed his eyes and muttered, “Damn, I’m really unlucky…”

The moment the words left his mouth, a massive iron sphere abruptly materialized above Disnake. The chains made no sound whatsoever, as if the sphere had always been there.

“You motherf—!!”

Before Disnake could finish cursing, the iron ball plummeted.

Chen Junnan, who was dangerously close to the spiked monstrosity, suffered deep gashes across his body as the spikes tore into him. Yet he seemed unfazed—after all, the ball could only drop here if he stayed close enough to Disnake’s room.

**THUD!**

The iron sphere didn’t hit the ground. Instead, it was caught by something.

“Still struggling, you old snake…?” Chen Junnan clutched his wounds, gritting his teeth. “Just die already…”

“Kid… I-I won’t die…” Disnake strained, his arms trembling as he held up the iron ball. “If I survive this… I’ll kill you next…”

Chen Junnan tensely glanced at the chains suspending the iron sphere. Something was wrong.

Why hadn’t the chain snapped?

Had Yun Yao’s plan failed?

“Starlet… did you mess up?”

The situation seemed dire. Yun Yao’s role in this had faltered.

“Yun Yao!!” Chen Junnan bellowed from the ceiling. “Where’s your ‘conviction’?!”

His voice echoed into Yun Yao’s room nearby, where she sat with her eyes tightly shut, sweat pouring down her face.

She had underestimated this.

She had never seen the massive, spiked iron sphere before, nor the chains suspending it. How was she supposed to destroy something she couldn’t even visualize?

A spiked… iron dumpling?

“Just… give me another chance…” Yun Yao whispered, her voice trembling. “One more try…”

The iron sphere slowly began to rise. The attack had ended.

Within seconds, Chen Junnan pieced together the problem.

For Yun Yao, manipulating something she’d never witnessed was nearly impossible.

His mind raced before he suddenly shouted, “Holy shit!!”

The booming voice startled Yun Yao, who looked up in confusion.

“Starlet, you’re insane!” Chen Junnan continued. “How the hell did you do that?! One of the chain links holding the spiked iron ball loosened—just enough to let it drop!”

“Huh…?” Yun Yao felt a flicker of hope. “Really?”

“Absolutely!” Chen Junnan exclaimed. “Lucky for us, the chain’s rusted from overuse. Otherwise, your ‘Echo’ might not have worked!”

As he spoke, rust visibly spread across the chain above Disnake’s head.

His words were shaping Yun Yao’s mental image. Once her visualization matched reality, her **Strong Luck** would take effect.

“Starlet, seriously, how’d you pull that off?” Chen Junnan pressed, feigning awe. “How’d you know the *sixth link from the bottom* was the rusted one?”

“The… sixth?”

“And you made it snap right there? Damn, you’re good.”

Disnake, now sensing danger, realized the man above him was aiding someone’s **Echo**.

“Brat… I’ll kill you!!”

Seizing the moment as the iron sphere ascended, Disnake lunged upward, his gnarled hand reaching for Chen Junnan.

Chen Junnan’s expression darkened. He dropped into a crouch and kicked downward with all his strength, his foot slamming into Disnake’s face. The impact sent a jolt of pain through his sole—it felt like kicking a rock.

**CRACK!**

Disnake was sent crashing to the ground. Though unharmed, the force sent him tumbling.

Chen Junnan knew he’d gotten lucky. If his next strike missed, Disnake would grab him—and that would be the end.

He glanced back at the rising iron sphere. The sixth link from the bottom was indeed corroded, but it hadn’t snapped yet. If the chain broke elsewhere, their plan would fail.

“Damn, Starlet!” Chen Junnan yelled desperately. “That break’s so clean it looks like it was cut with a knife!! That damn Disnake—rapist, child abuser, scum of the earth—is finally gonna get what he deserves, huh?!”

**SNAP.**

A sudden clarity surged through Yun Yao. Never had her conviction felt so absolute.

Yes. Disnake *deserved* to die. He had no right to live.

That iron sphere *would* crush him.

Evil *would* meet its retribution.

Under Chen Junnan’s exhilarated gaze, the chain finally gave way.

The iron sphere, freed from its tether, plummeted straight into Disnake’s room.
