Chapter 484: Displaying Divine Powers

“I’m a bit confused,” Chen Junnan turned around and said. “Fourteenth Sister, which deity’s relic is this from the ‘Havoc in Heaven’ era?”

“Huh?” Cui Shisi felt like her train of thought was constantly being derailed by Chen Junnan. “Leader, why are we so fixated on ‘Havoc in Heaven’…?”

“Isn’t it obvious? The ‘Hair of Power,’ the ‘Lotus of Power’… and now what’s this? A silk manuscript?” Chen Junnan examined the icy jade piece in his hand and muttered under his breath, “Can’t even read the characters—must be a ‘Celestial Script.’ Could it belong to the Supreme Lord Laozi or the Star of Longevity…?”

“Uh…” Cui Shisi scratched her head, her expression a mix of frustration and bewilderment as she stared at Chen Junnan. “Leader… even if this really is from ‘Havoc in Heaven,’ it’s not helping us at all… Shouldn’t we just ignore all this?”

“But this jade piece is quite pretty…” Chen Junnan wiped the dust off the jade and pocketed it. “I’ll give it to Sister Dong later.”

As they spoke, the door beside them creaked open, and the bearded man and middle-aged uncle walked in.

“Oh?” Chen Junnan raised an eyebrow. “Well? Any luck?”

“Um…” The two exchanged glances, clearly having encountered something bizarre as well.

“Spit it out,” Chen Junnan said.

They nodded, and Ma Twelve pulled out a small flower basket from behind, while Wu Thirteen held what looked like a black metal hairpin.

“Huh?” Chen Junnan stepped forward to inspect the basket and the metal rod, his confusion deepening.

“A hairpin and a flower basket…?” Cui Shisi also seemed lost in thought, trying to make sense of it all.

What on earth was the connection between these completely unrelated items?

After a moment of fruitless pondering, Chen Junnan sighed and said, “Let’s not worry about it for now.”

He pointed to the southern door of the room. “That door leads to the exit. Let’s get out first, then figure out how to save Song Seven and Little Jiang Ten.”

Everyone knew the game was the priority. No matter how strange these items were, they didn’t necessarily need to understand them all.

When the broadcast sounded, Chen Junnan was the first to push open the door—only for everyone to freeze in confusion once again.

On the table in the room stood a sword, its blade clearly inscribed with two words: “**Divine Power**.”

Meanwhile, the doors straight ahead and to the left both bore the words “**Exit**.”

“We’re here, right?”

Just as they began to relax, something felt off. The two exit doors looked… unusual.

The right side of the left door and the left side of the right door had been inexplicably adorned with a pair of couplets.

The first line read: **Men and women, young and old, rich and poor.**

The second line read: **Sword, Lotus, Donkey, Basket, Flute, Book, Fan, Crutch.**

Below the couplets, a vent-like opening bore a single character scrawled in cursive:

“**Manifest**!”

“Oh no!” Chen Junnan tossed aside what he was holding and rushed to the doors, yanking at them—only to find them locked tight, unmovable no matter how hard he pulled.

“Leader… you…” Cui Shisi also realized the doors were locked, leaving them at a loss. These doors were clearly different from the others—no latches, just some unseen mechanism holding them shut.

“‘Manifest Divine Power’… damn it, this has nothing to do with ‘Havoc in Heaven’… but the direction’s about the same!” Chen Junnan gritted his teeth.

He stopped trying to force the doors and instead pulled out the black hairs and jade piece from his pocket, then turned to the others. “Bring everything here.”

Ma Twelve and Wu Thirteen quickly handed over the flower basket and the black metal hairpin.

Chen Junnan carefully laid out all the items on the floor, then slowly raised his eyebrows.

“Of course…” He ran a hand over the grimy blue-green floor and turned to the group. “This isn’t an escape game at all… it’s ‘**The Eight Immortals Cross the Sea**.'”

“The Eight Immortals…?” The others stared at the items, still not fully grasping it.

Chen Junnan stood up and pointed at the couplets. “‘Men and women, young and old, rich and poor’—eight people. And their treasures? It’s the Eight Immortals!”

“And these things…?”

Chen Junnan picked up the items one by one. “The flower basket—Lan Caihe’s treasure. The lotus—He Xiangu’s treasure.”

“What about the rest?”

After a moment of thought, Chen Junnan held up the hairpin-like rod. “At first glance, I thought it was a black metal hairpin… but looking at its shape now, isn’t it ‘Iron Crutch’?”

Everyone took another look and realized it was indeed a miniature version of Iron Crutch Li’s staff.

“As for this jade piece…” Chen Junnan paused. “It must be Cao Guojiu’s ‘Jade Tablet.'”

Finally, he picked up the tuft of black hair. “The most misleading one was this ‘Divine Power’ hair… but it’s not human hair at all. It’s ‘donkey hair.'”

“Donkey…?” The pieces fell into place. “Zhang Guolao’s donkey?”

“Add the ‘sword’ on the table, and we’ve got six of the Eight Immortals’ treasures.” Chen Junnan said. “This game isn’t something we can beat alone. We need all eight to open these doors.”

His wild yet logical deduction left everyone feeling the gravity of their situation.

Song Seven and Jiang Ten were still out there, constantly “closing doors.” They’d thought reaching the exit meant escape—but now they were stuck at the very end.

“As the saying goes, ‘The Eight Immortals cross the sea, each displaying their divine power’…” Chen Junnan muttered. “I should’ve guessed it was ‘Eight Divine Powers’ from the start. The blue-green floor represents the sea, and this damn game is called ‘Penglai’—the very pavilion the Eight Immortals gathered at before leaving…”

“So what do we do…?” Ma Twelve asked urgently. “Leader, where do we find the remaining ‘treasures’?”

“They must be scattered in other rooms.” Chen Junnan narrowed his eyes. “Do you remember which rooms you found yours in?”

“I do,” Wu Thirteen said. “We got the ‘Iron Crutch’ in the very first room, then the ‘Flower Basket’ two rooms later. So that’s rooms ‘Two’ and ‘Four.'”

“That makes sense.” Chen Junnan nodded. “If I recall, I got mine in rooms ‘Six,’ ‘Eight,’ ‘Twelve,’ and now ‘Sixteen.'”

“Ah!” Cui Shisi exclaimed. “So it’s ‘good things come in pairs’—only even-numbered rooms have treasures?”
