“The Yaksha Clan! Our human race is not at war with your noble clan. What reason do you have to harass us while we search for treasures and surround us like this?” The young man surnamed Zhu asked with a livid expression, though a glimmer of hope rose in his heart when he saw the leading Yaksha, whose cultivation he couldn’t discern, fly away.
“Attack!”
The most powerful female Yaksha among the remaining hundred or so Yaksha warriors gave the Zhu youth and his companions a bewitching smile, but her delicate lips uttered an icy command for slaughter, offering no explanation whatsoever.
The surrounding male and female Yaksha immediately brandished their weapons, unleashing massive blade beams from their axes and great blades, slashing furiously toward the dozen or so humans from all directions.
The scene mirrored how the human cultivators had previously joined forces to attack the Black Blood Ant swarm—except now, the ones being besieged were the humans.
Though vastly outnumbered, the silver-haired youth and his companions were not as fragile as the Black Blood Ants. In their panic, the humans summoned their strongest treasures, transforming them into multicolored light barriers to desperately fend off the attacks. A few, confident in their concealment and escape techniques, immediately vanished into the void, attempting to flee.
Enraged, the Zhu youth flashed to the side of the beautiful woman. They each extended a hand, clasping them together as blue and red light surged around their bodies. Then, with a shout, they each spat out a small banner.
The two banners, densely inscribed with countless layers of runes, erupted with radiant light the moment they left their mouths. The banners then merged, forming a massive red-and-blue barrier that enveloped them.
At that moment, the blade beams tore through the void, leaving white trails as they slashed down.
A deafening explosion erupted as the blade beams detonated.
The human cultivators’ light barriers barely held for a moment before being pierced and shattered, completely overwhelmed.
Screams of agony rang out amidst the explosions.
However, several massive blade beams did not join the assault. Instead, they veered off and struck empty spaces not far from the center.
After eerie white trails flashed through the air, blood sprayed from the void as several bisected corpses tumbled out.
These cultivators, who had tried to conceal themselves, had been effortlessly detected and slain by the Yaksha.
As the light in the center dimmed, the scene within was revealed.
Of the original dozen or so human cultivators, only five or six remained standing, including the Zhu youth and his wife.
Miraculously, they had withstood the combined attack of the Yaksha warriors thanks to their powerful defensive treasures. The others had been utterly annihilated.
However, whether it was the Zhu couple’s massive banners or the other cultivators’ floating treasures, all were now dimmed, some even cracked—clearly damaged beyond further use.
Yet the survivors, having witnessed the Yaksha’s terrifying assault, had no intention of waiting for death.
The Zhu youth and the beautiful woman immediately tapped their banners.
The banners spun rapidly, flaring with light before exploding with two thunderous booms.
Instantly, a red and a blue hurricane materialized, soaring into the sky.
The Zhu youth and his wife transformed into streaks of light, merging into the hurricanes. With a surge of their magic, the two hurricanes combined into a colossal tempest hundreds of feet tall, roaring like thunder as it charged upward.
The Yaksha warriors blocking the path, despite their ferocity, couldn’t help but stir uneasily at the sight of the hurricane’s overwhelming force.
The remaining human cultivators, both shocked and elated, seized the opportunity to transform into streaks of light, following closely behind the hurricane.
They knew all too well that this was their only chance for survival.
Wherever the blue-red hurricane passed, space itself distorted and blurred, a testament to its terrifying power. Just as it seemed the hurricane would plow through the Yaksha ranks, two massive black shadows suddenly appeared above it.
Before the other cultivators could react, four deafening booms resounded as four invisible forces struck the hurricane simultaneously.
The hurricane shuddered, forcibly halted in its tracks.
It turned out that two Yaksha, each fifty to sixty feet tall and previously hovering behind the others, had teleported to either side of the hurricane. With fists the size of houses, they had stopped the tempest through sheer brute strength.
The Zhu youth and his wife inside the hurricane were stunned. Without hesitation, they channeled all their magic, causing the hurricane to swell and surge forward once more.
But the two towering Yaksha in the sky suddenly flashed red in their eyes. Their four arms blurred, and countless massive fist shadows materialized around the hurricane before raining down upon it like a storm.
The nearby cultivators, horrified, immediately altered their escape routes, desperate to flee.
Yet at that moment, the air filled with the sound of slicing wind as countless blade beams descended.
The hundred Yaksha warriors had launched a second wave of attacks.
This time, despair filled the faces of the remaining cultivators—even the Zhu youth and his wife within the hurricane turned deathly pale.
A world-shaking explosion resounded across the heavens.
……
Deep underground, Han Li’s body flickered with gray light as he sped through the earth.
Strangely, a silver-gray radiance continuously emerged around him, clashing and intertwining with his protective gray light in shimmering layers.
Han Li’s expression was grave.
Though he hadn’t followed the others to the surface, the tremendous explosion from above had sent tremors even this deep underground. The sheer force of the blast was horrifying.
Had all the cultivators who fled above been annihilated?
Han Li shuddered at the thought.
When the underground cavern collapsed and the tidal wave surged, the others, unable to use earth escape techniques due to the spirit-magnetic veins, had no choice but to rush through the breach to the surface. But Han Li, with his Magnetic Divine Light, could counteract the veins’ pull and risk an underground escape.
Moreover, the moment disaster struck, his powerful spiritual sense had detected the terrifying presence of the alien race above. Without hesitation, he activated his Magnetic Divine Light and plunged underground.
Just before his descent, however, the swarm of Emerald-Eyed True Toads, battered and wounded, had emerged from the depths of the cavern—right into Han Li’s path.
Faced with such an opportunity, he wasted no time. Unleashing multiple techniques at once, he swiftly annihilated the already weakened toads, collected their corpses, and vanished underground.
As for the Thousand Heart Flower the Zhu youth had mentioned, Han Li had no time to search for it.
The spirit-magnetic veins were even more formidable than he had anticipated, but his Magnetic Divine Light, augmented by the power of the Magnetic Divine Mountain, was just barely enough to resist the crushing pull from below.
Though the alien race was powerful, Han Li doubted they would dare pursue him underground within the veins’ range.
Reassured by this thought, he relaxed slightly.
Unfortunately, the veins also blocked his spiritual sense, preventing him from detecting nearby movements. Otherwise, he would have felt even more secure.
In the time it took for these thoughts to flash through his mind, Han Li had already traversed thousands of miles underground. The silver radiance around him began to fade.
When it finally vanished, Han Li stirred. Believing himself safe, he extended his spiritual sense toward the surface.
Above was an unfamiliar valley, surrounded by mountains on three sides with a single exit. Lush greenery covered the area, with no signs of powerful ancient beasts or alien races.
After repeated scans, Han Li finally relaxed and shot upward as a streak of azure light.
A flash of light later, he hovered dozens of feet above the ground.
But when he swept his gaze around and spotted something nearby, his entire body turned ice-cold, freezing in place.
On a massive tree just a hundred feet away stood two towering, demonic Yaksha, facing each other.
Both had enormous wings and stood over thirty feet tall. Their heads turned toward him, their eyes filled with surprise.
Yet what horrified Han Li wasn’t just their presence—it was that he couldn’t sense the slightest trace of their auras. His spiritual sense swept over them as if the treetop were empty.
He knew exactly what this meant.
These two Yaksha were beings far beyond his level—perhaps even Yaksha Kings of their race.
No wonder his blood ran cold, his breath freezing in his throat.
As Han Li inwardly cursed his luck, the two Yaksha remained motionless. Then, from another direction hundreds of feet away, a multicolored streak of light shot up from the ground—another cultivator had arrived.
Han Li turned in surprise, recognizing the petite, graceful figure standing atop a five-colored jade boat—it was the female cultivator surnamed Xiao.
Her face lit up upon seeing Han Li, but when her gaze fell upon the two motionless high-tier Yaksha, her expression turned ashen.
