Chapter 1403: The Pig Demon and the Young Beast

The woman surnamed Xiao had already plunged into the massive light formation, causing the hum of the entire formation to intensify severalfold, accompanied by violent spatial fluctuations in the vicinity.

The space beneath the enormous light formation began to distort and warp, clearly indicating that the teleportation was about to commence.

The flying swords that had formed the sword array earlier reverted into seventy-two small swords the moment the Changnu broke free, swiftly disappearing into Han Li’s body.

However, due to the spatial distortion, the emerald rainbow Han Li had transformed into suddenly slowed, his speed reduced by more than half.

Han Li’s expression changed, but before he could activate the newly refined Wind and Thunder Wings on his back, the Yasha King’s attack was already upon him.

A distant punch, accompanied by a thunderous roar, transformed into a massive emerald-green fist shadow, striking directly beneath the light formation—precisely where Han Li stood, enveloped by its force.

Han Li knew that unless he dealt with this attack first, escape would be impossible. Taking a deep breath, he raised both hands, releasing over a dozen golden and silver light spheres before flapping his wings. In an instant, he vanished from his original position, reappearing mere inches from the center of the light formation. Without hesitation, he stepped inside.

At the same moment, a streak of bloody light flashed upward, slashing viciously at one corner of the massive light formation.

Simultaneously, the golden and silver light spheres collided with the fist shadow, both exploding in a spectacular display.

The bloody light flared brilliantly, its slash causing the entire formation to ripple violently.

Meanwhile, an earth-shaking explosion erupted, giving rise to a massive golden and silver thundercloud spanning hundreds of feet, unleashing a towering hurricane.

In the blink of an eye, the hurricane swallowed everything in its path.

At the edge of the thundercloud, spatial fluctuations rippled as the two Yasha Kings reappeared. Faced with the overwhelming power equivalent to a combined strike from over a dozen Void Refinement cultivators, even they had no choice but to retreat momentarily, thwarting their plan to teleport directly into the formation and seize Han Li and his companion.

With the thundercloud momentarily obstructing them, the light formation in the sky flickered violently before shattering into countless fragments, dissipating entirely.

Working together, the two Yasha Kings swiftly dispersed the golden and silver thundercloud with their divine abilities, then reappeared beneath where the formation’s center had been.

There, only a white formation disk, cracked and devoid of spiritual energy, floated in place.

One of the Yasha Kings snatched the disk and examined it with a grim expression before silently tossing it to the other.

“There’s a trace of True Spirit Qi here. It seems we underestimated these two human cultivators—they actually possess the ability to teleport such vast distances,” the second Yasha King sighed after inspecting the disk.

“Even I didn’t anticipate this. Fortunately, my final attack disrupted their teleportation formation. Whether they truly escaped unscathed remains to be seen—they might have fallen into a spatial rift and vanished from this realm,” the Yasha King known as the Undying King sneered.

“That’s all we can hope for. Though our Changnu have also been teleported somewhere unknown, retrieving them will be troublesome,” the Wheel-Turning King frowned deeply before nodding in agreement.

“No matter. Our Changnu are not mindless beasts. Unless they were sent to another continent, they’ll find their way back to us. What’s more pressing is finalizing the alliance plans we discussed earlier, or else…”

Though the two Yasha Kings were startled by Han Li’s escape, they quickly dismissed it and turned their attention to more critical matters.

Meanwhile, countless miles away, the Yasha army continued its relentless march toward the human stronghold of Tianyuan City.

Han Li felt as though his head was splitting, his vision swimming. Despite his formidable physique, the intense aftereffects of the teleportation suggested it had been an ultra-long-distance journey.

After closing his eyes for a long while, he slowly reopened them and surveyed his surroundings.

He appeared to be in a field of scattered boulders, the ground littered with grayish-white stones of varying sizes.

Not far away, thick gray mist obscured visibility.

His mind still buzzed, whether due to some local restriction or lingering effects of the teleportation, preventing his divine sense from extending beyond his body.

Frowning, Han Li turned his head, his eyes flashing with blue light.

Suddenly, his expression shifted. Forming hand seals, he transformed into an emerald rainbow and soared into the mist.

After the time it took to drink a cup of tea, Han Li reappeared beside a narrow stream, hands clasped behind his back as he studied the crystal-clear water.

Reaching down, he lifted a small orb of water, suspending it above his palm.

After a careful inspection, he drank it, finding it exceptionally sweet.

Satisfied, he was about to gather more when his brow twitched. His other hand clenched into a fist, striking the air behind him.

An invisible force erupted, followed by a thunderous crash as the mist churned violently. Something had been struck—footsteps stumbled backward, accompanied by grunts.

Han Li blurred, turning ghostlike to face the disturbance. With a flick of his sleeve, a gust of wind dispersed the mist, revealing a bizarre creature.

Even Han Li, well-traveled as he was, was momentarily stunned.

The creature had a pig’s head and a human body, its torso encased in a green tortoise shell. Currently, it lay on its back, limbs flailing as it struggled to right itself.

“Turtle-Pig Demon,” Han Li mused, amused by the absurdity.

The creature’s aura was weak, equivalent to a human Qi Condensation cultivator. Yet, it had withstood his earlier strike.

His gaze fell on the tortoise shell, where a deep fist imprint was visible.

With a wave of his hand, a massive azure hand materialized, lifting the creature by its shell.

To his surprise, the pig demon twisted free, abandoning its shell and darting into the mist as a brown wild boar.

Han Li could only stare at the empty shell, bemused by the creature’s cunning.

Dismissing the low-level creature, he examined the shell closely, marveling at its resilience despite being from a mere centuries-old tortoise.

After storing it in his bracelet, he sat by the stream to meditate.

As the mist thinned, a herd of deer-like creatures gathered to drink. One curious fawn even approached Han Li, sniffing and licking his face.

Startled by his sudden movement, the fawn leaped back, but not before Han Li flicked a pill into its mouth.

“Since fate has brought us together, this Enlightenment Pill is yours. Whether it awakens your intelligence depends on your destiny,” he murmured.

The fawn bleated in alarm, drawing the protective attention of the adults, who formed a defensive circle around their young.

Han Li remained seated, watching the fawn for a moment before closing his eyes once more, indifferent to the herd’s wary stance.
