Chapter 1578: The Enemy’s Shadow Reappears

As soon as Han Li uttered these words, the small beast flickered and transformed into over a dozen identical illusions, charging straight into the crowd.

Wherever its claws flashed, the silver armor worn by the warriors and the weapons in their hands were torn apart as if made of paper. It was as if the leopard-lynx beast’s claws were divine blades.

Meanwhile, the black monkey’s body shimmered with dark light, and its size suddenly expanded dozens of times, transforming into a towering black ape over twenty zhang tall. The ape beat its chest with both fists and snorted through its large nose.

Instantly, a hazy yellow radiance surged into the sky.

The moment the double-headed eagles were touched by this light, they plummeted from the air as if drunk. The giant ape swung its massive hands like wheels, smashing the eagles one by one as if swatting bugs, turning them into pulp.

As for Han Li, he once again sent his flying sword slashing through the air. Wherever the green threads flashed, warriors and eagles were inevitably cleaved in two, with no one able to withstand even a single strike.

In the blink of an eye, Han Li and his two spirit beasts had slaughtered the majority of the hundreds of Jiao Chi tribesmen and double-headed eagles.

The remaining warriors, fewer than a hundred, finally showed expressions of terror. Without knowing who led the way, they suddenly scattered in panic, fleeing toward the two warships high in the sky. Han Li wasted no time, transforming into a green streak of light as he pursued them.

With flashes of sword light, corpses soon littered the ground.

Suddenly, a deafening roar erupted from above.

Han Li’s heart tightened, and he quickly looked up.

He saw the crystal pillars beneath the two silver warships glowing brightly, unleashing over a hundred beams of light downward.

They didn’t even spare their own Jiao Chi tribesmen nearby.

Han Li snorted coldly, his wings fluttering behind him. With a thunderous crack, he vanished from his original position.

Despite the wide coverage of the beams, all of them missed their target.

The next moment, Han Li reappeared above one of the silver warships.

Glancing at the “silver island” below, he expressionlessly reached out with one hand.

A pitch-black palm emerged from his sleeve, pressing lightly downward.

A flash of gray light, and a small black mountain spiraled out from his palm.

The mountain rapidly expanded, swelling to over a thousand zhang in size before crashing mercilessly onto the warship below.

The Magnetic Divine Mountain had grown even larger than the warship itself. Under the shadow of this colossal mass, the warship was instantly engulfed.

The Jiao Chi tribesmen inside the warship turned pale with shock. Even if they tried to maneuver the vessel to evade, it was already too late.

A deafening boom echoed as the base of the mountain collided with the warship.

Though the mountain was slightly rebounded by the impact, the warship was left with a massive dent, forcibly slammed from the sky and crashing heavily onto the ground.

Half-buried in the earth, it was clear the warship wouldn’t be taking off anytime soon.

Seeing this, a flicker of surprise crossed Han Li’s eyes.

The warship hadn’t shattered under the Magnetic Divine Mountain’s strike, indicating its materials were extraordinarily tough—perhaps even comparable to ordinary magical treasures.

Considering the sheer amount of materials required for such a massive warship, and recalling the even larger “floating island” he had seen in Green Light City, Han Li couldn’t help but inhale sharply.

He finally grasped a fraction of the Jiao Chi tribe’s wealth.

No wonder they ranked among the top superpowers in the Spirit Realm.

Though inwardly shocked, Han Li showed no intention of stopping. Instead, he pointed repeatedly at the black mountain in the sky.

With a resonant hum, the Magnetic Divine Mountain descended once more with a howl.

In an instant, earth-shaking booms erupted one after another.

Under the relentless pounding, the silver warship was flattened into a heap of “scrap metal.”

Even if the Jiao Chi tribesmen inside weren’t dead yet, their condition was certainly far from pleasant.

Surprisingly, however, the warship’s surface flickered with silver light as it slowly began to reinflate, as if trying to restore itself.

Seeing that his attacks hadn’t completely destroyed the vessel, Han Li raised an eyebrow and abruptly reached into the void.

A sharp hissing sound filled the air as dozens of green threads shot out from nowhere, converging into his palm.

The dazzling green light coalesced into a ten-foot-long giant sword, its surface shimmering as if intangible.

Without hesitation, Han Li gripped the hilt and swung it downward at the immobilized warship.

But just then, he heard the long-haired alien’s startled cry:

“Senior, be careful!”

Startled, Han Li suddenly sensed a surge of powerful spiritual energy erupting beside him.

Reacting swiftly, he swung the giant sword horizontally, slashing toward the incoming force.

A green sword aura over ten zhang long shot forth, clashing directly with the spiritual energy.

The two forces collided about thirty zhang away from Han Li, exploding into a towering column of black and green wind.

From a distance, the sight was truly astonishing!

Han Li narrowed his eyes as he scanned the opposite side.

Above the other silver warship, four figures of varying appearances had appeared out of nowhere.

One of them, a pale-faced man with bare feet, floated before a translucent blade, eyeing Han Li with a peculiar gaze.

Clearly, this was the one who had launched the sneak attack.

The other three consisted of an old woman, a dwarf, and a savage-looking giant clad in animal hides.

Han Li’s eyes narrowed as his divine sense swept over them.

The pale-faced man was at the mid-stage of the Void Refinement realm, while the other three were at the early stage.

Yet, he had scanned the area earlier and hadn’t detected these four. Where had they come from?

Though Void Refinement cultivators were somewhat troublesome, Han Li wasn’t overly concerned. However, their sudden appearance piqued his curiosity.

“Bold of you to dare destroy our Jiao Chi tribe’s warship,” the pale-faced man said coldly. “You don’t seem to be from the Thirteen Heavenly Cloud Tribes. No matter—once we capture you, we’ll extract the answers we need.”

His gaze then shifted toward the long-haired alien, who had reemerged from the golden sphere, his face now grim.

“Master Jia, I’ve heard you aren’t a pure-blooded member of the Ancient Clan. If so, why fight for the Thirteen Heavenly Cloud Tribes? Our elders have spoken highly of your mastery of puppetry and are willing to spare no expense to cleanse your bloodline, granting you our tribe’s heritage. They’ve even promised to ensure you reach the peak of the Upper Clan—and with great fortune, perhaps even the Saint Clan.”

The pale-faced man’s tone was unexpectedly respectful.

“Submit to you?” Jia Tianmu replied indifferently after a pause. “I have no interest. Though my blood is impure, the elders of my clan have shown me great kindness. I won’t betray them. You seek me not just for my puppetry, but for the secrets of the Thirteen Heavenly Cloud Tribes.”

“Do you truly believe you can escape?” the pale-faced man countered, unfazed. “Your guardian puppets may be formidable, but their spirit stones must be nearly depleted from your last breakout. As for your own cultivation, it poses no threat to us. Surrender peacefully.”

Jia Tianmu’s expression remained unchanged, but his gaze flicked toward Han Li.

“Ah, hoping for rescue? Very well. We’ll deal with this nuisance first,” the pale-faced man said, his tone turning icy as he faced Han Li again.

“Will you come quietly, or shall we destroy your body and take only your soul?”

Han Li’s pupils contracted briefly before he chuckled.

“Big words. Let’s see if your skills match them.”

The pale-faced man frowned, studying Han Li closely before his expression shifted.

“Wait—this man looks familiar. Isn’t he the one Envoy Tu ordered us to capture?”

The old woman scrutinized Han Li and nodded slowly. “Indeed, he matches the description. Be cautious—if he escaped Envoy Tu, his abilities are no trifle.”

The other two exchanged surprised glances.

“Hah! If it’s really him, our squad has hit the jackpot—two great merits at once!” The giant in animal hides laughed heartily.

“Don’t get overconfident,” the dwarf sneered. “He’s no pushover. Underestimating him could cost you dearly.”

“Even if he’s strong, can he take on all four of us?” the giant retorted dismissively.

“Facing us head-on? No. But if he flees, can you stop him?” the dwarf shot back.
