Chapter 51: Three Moves

If Gali had followed them the entire way, he might have overheard things he wasn’t supposed to hear and seen things he wasn’t supposed to see. As one of the two most valued sons of the Wolf King, Gali’s status was far beyond what Xue Ding could compare to. Even if Gali killed Xue Ding, there would be no repercussions.

This was the so-called value of a foster son. In the eyes of the Wolf King, all the foster sons combined were not as valuable as a single Gali.

However, when Gali saw the fallen Xue Wu, he appeared quite surprised and said, “Xue Wu? You were defeated too?”

Xue Wu snorted, turning his head to the side without responding. Though he was arrogant, he knew that offending Gali easily was not wise, so he chose to remain silent.

Beside him, Xue Ding, who was more quick-witted, quickly put on an aggrieved expression, ran to Gali, and said, “Brother, they set a trap and launched a surprise attack, injuring big brother, I mean, Xue Wu. I couldn’t react in time to warn him. I was just about to teach them a lesson when you arrived!”

Gali glanced at Xue Ding, his disdain evident. “Even Xue Wu was defeated, and you think you can teach them a lesson?”

“What’s there to fear from a mere Level 12 guy? Besides, don’t I have you here?”

Gali glanced at Qian Ye, his eyes filled with contempt. For him, humans were inherently weak and no match for wolves of the same level. With only Level 12 origin power, Qian Ye was naturally a target for easy slaughter in the eyes of Gali, who was already a third-class baron. However, when he saw Yuetong, Gali’s expression turned stern. His long hair stirred without wind, his body tensed, and a threatening growl rose in his throat.

First, Gali felt a powerful threat, instinctively becoming alert. Only then did he recognize Yuetong’s appearance, feeling a sudden heat rush to his head and an inexplicable warmth in his body.

“Are you a blood race!?” As a talented wolf, Gali had an innate sensitivity to the blood race. He sniffed the air forcefully and then affirmed, “You are a blood race! I never imagined there would be such a powerful blood race here in the Eastern Sea.”

The enmity between wolves and the blood race had lasted for thousands of years, from the Evernight to the Neutral Lands. Under the rule of the Wolf King, there were few blood races around the Eastern Sea. The powerful ones mostly operated in secrecy, while the weaker ones lived miserable lives, often worse than humans.

Gali fixed his gaze on Yuetong and said, “Come back with me and be my woman. Perhaps I might spare this waste.”

“Perhaps?” Yuetong’s expression became odd.

Gali arrogantly stated, “Whether or not I spare him depends on my mood. If you behave, my mood might improve.”

The Blood Blade began to dance in Yuetong’s fingers as she looked Gali up and down, saying, “With your level of strength, don’t you feel a bit guilty making such a statement?”

Gali raised his eyebrows and said, “With my strength, defeating you is no problem. This is the Neutral Lands, not the Evernight. Don’t think that being a blood race makes you naturally superior to a wolf. Let me tell you, my bloodline is among the top even in the Evernight. Father King once said that I have the potential to pass the test of the Peaks of All Generations in the Evernight!”

Qian Ye and Yuetong exchanged glances, speechless.

If William hadn’t been exaggerating, he was the top genius among several generations in the Peaks of All Generations, the greatest hope for the wolves to ascend the Sacred Mountain. Even so, in Qian Ye’s mind, William’s glorious image had dissipated with a simple “Woof.”

Yuetong, as the purest of the new generation of the blood race, possessed talent on par with William. And Qian Ye, having further purified the blood force he inherited from Yuetong, had entered the ranks of the ancient blood race.

Watching Gali boast about his talent in front of them gave Qian Ye and Yuetong an inexplicable, strange feeling, prompting them to look him up and down repeatedly. No matter how they looked, they couldn’t see any aspect of Gali that even slightly resembled William.

Gali still held his head high, completely oblivious to the fact that his reflection was mirrored in the eyes of Qian Ye and Yuetong. Even if he noticed, he would have thought it was a normal occurrence.

Yuetong seemed intrigued, and Zhu Ji, peeking from behind the gate, was eager to jump in. However, Qian Ye did not share their enthusiasm. After the initial amusement, what remained was rising anger.

Gali’s attitude, treating Yuetong as a prized plaything, thoroughly enraged Qian Ye.

Qian Ye picked up Dongyue and walked to Gali, his voice cold, “By your own admission, you are a genius among the wolves?”

Gali thumped his chest, his pride evident, “How many barons of this age have you heard of? And I haven’t even finished growing, I still have potential!”

After saying this, Gali realized his mistake and angrily retorted, “What do you mean ‘by your own admission’? I am a genius!”

Qian Ye calmly replied, “Pity, you won’t get the chance to fulfill that potential.”

Gali almost couldn’t believe his ears. He stared blankly for a moment before bursting into laughter. He laughed until he was bent over, then put on a pair of clawed gloves, walking towards Qian Ye with a sneer, “Lowly human, you’ve really angered me. I will tear you apart slowly and make sure you don’t die too fast. And before you die, I’ll make sure you watch how I play with this blood race!”

Qian Ye exhaled, his pupils turning blue, and coldly said, “Originally, I thought I could kill you in three moves. Now, it seems I should use a few more.”

Gali laughed wildly again, “Three moves? A lowlife like you, is bragging the only thing you know?”

In the midst of his wild laughter, Gali suddenly felt a heavy pressure, as if a mountain were pressing down on him. The pressure became unbearably heavy, and the sound of crashing waves could be heard. Even though wolves prided themselves on their strength, Gali found it extremely difficult to move, let alone leap.

At the moment the pressure descended, Gali saw Qian Ye raise Dongyue. As the sword pointed high, Gali suddenly felt an indescribable danger!

Gali, after all, had his heritage. In a critical moment, he shouted and transformed, his size increasing, and his power surging, barely giving him the ability to move freely. He leapt with such force that a cloud of blood mist erupted around him.

Gali leaped and dodged, quickly moving dozens of meters away.

But Qian Ye remained calm, performing three feigned slashes with Dongyue. A great distance away, Gali screamed as a gash appeared on his right leg, and he collapsed. He rolled over, endured the pain, and tried to escape, but suddenly stiffened, frozen in place.

Qian Ye appeared silently, standing right in front of Gali. At this distance, Dongyue could easily pierce through him.

“This… this is impossible!” Gali still couldn’t believe it. Xue Ding was dumbfounded, and Xue Wu remained silent.

Qian Ye said coolly, “You’re not bad, stronger than I expected.”

“You’re just a Level 12 human! And I, I am the son of the Wolf King, my bloodline is far superior to yours! I won’t lose, I won’t lose!”

Gali roared, his body growing larger, his aura strengthening, but blood seeped from his fur, and the wound on his thigh bled profusely. Clearly, the cost of this secret technique was steep.

“Wolves never lose!!” With a battle cry, Gali leaped, claws aimed at Qian Ye!

Qian Ye didn’t dodge, didn’t even use Dongyue. He simply extended his left hand and grabbed Gali’s incoming claw.

Thud. Gali landed, sinking into the ground. His fur stood on end, and he growled, starting a contest of strength with Qian Ye.

Qian Ye remained immovable, but Xue Ding, panicking, shouted, “No! He has claw blades on his hands!”

Gali shot a fierce glance at Xue Ding, full of menace. Xue Ding, startled, clenched his fists, arching his body. It seemed he was ready to strike if Qian Ye showed any weakness.

Xue Wu, with both legs broken, pulled out an origin gun and aimed it at Gali. Though regular origin guns were not very effective in the Neutral Lands, Xue Wu intended to restrain Gali, creating an opportunity for Xue Ding.

Seeing Xue Ding and Xue Wu prepare to act against Gali, Yuetong, who had gripped the Blood Blade tightly, relaxed her grip.

However, the anticipated scene of Qian Ye falling due to treachery did not occur.

Qian Ye remained composed, leisurely countering Gali’s force. The sharp blades on Gali’s glove were tightly clamped on Qian Ye’s left hand, unable to cut through his skin. Increasing the force only managed to scratch the surface, leaving shallow blood marks.

Xue Ding’s eyes widened in shock, and Gali was in disbelief. His eyeballs bulged as he exerted more force, but the wound didn’t deepen.

Then, with a grunt, Qian Ye began to apply force. As his fingers closed, Gali’s right hand bones cracked. Gali first grunted, then screamed as his right hand deformed under Qian Ye’s grip, finally twisting beyond recognition.

Qian Ye twisted, crushing Gali’s hand bones completely before letting go.

Gali collapsed, trembling. His right hand swelled, spreading to his upper arm. Such an injury, even with a wolf’s healing abilities, was beyond recovery, requiring a skilled physician and precious medicine.

Qian Ye held up three fingers, “Three moves.”

Gali trembled, eyes full of hatred, staring at Qian Ye. Seeing Qian Ye raise Dongyue, he didn’t flinch but growled, “I am the son of the Wolf King. If you dare harm me, no matter where you run, Father King will find and kill you. Your woman will become a plaything for countless others! Then, you will regret, regret not kneeling before me now!”

“Is that so?” Qian Ye flicked his wrist, and Dongyue sliced through Gali, severing his left arm.

Gali screamed, falling to the ground. He inadvertently pressed on his injured right hand, screaming again.

The pain of losing a limb was unbearable, even for a ruthless wolf. But Qian Ye wasn’t done. With another swing of Dongyue, Gali’s legs separated from his body. The only remaining limb was his crushed right hand.

Gali couldn’t get up, but his eyes remained fierce, fixed on Qian Ye. The wolf’s ferocity was fully displayed. However, Qian Ye, having seen many ferocious individuals, was unimpressed.

He turned and looked at Xue Ding and Xue Wu.
