Chapter 1934: Temptation of the Mind

It was none other than the Profound Heaven Blade fragment.

With a slight flick of the golden body’s hand, the blade erupted in a dazzling burst of purple light before vanishing in a flash.

Only in the hands of the golden body could this blade unleash its terrifying power capable of invoking the laws of heaven and earth.

As for the spirit body, Han Li slapped his storage bracelet, and four or five treasures shot out in succession, disappearing in a flash as they flew toward it.

Each of these treasures had a unique form—some were jade pendants, others were banners, and one even resembled a ring-shaped artifact.

After a brief hesitation, Han Li solemnly retrieved a scroll and tossed it toward the spirit body as well.

The spirit body merely opened its mouth expressionlessly, swallowing all the items in one gulp. Then, after forming a series of hand seals alongside the golden body, both figures blurred and vanished.

Once Han Li finished these preparations, his body spun rapidly, and hundreds of formation flags and plates shot out from him, scattering in a dazzling array of lights. In one go, he set up five or six temporary formations near the sword array.

Coming to a halt, he straightened up and flicked both sleeves toward the sky.

Hundreds of talismans shot out from one sleeve, vanishing into the air in a flash.

From the other sleeve, thirteen purple orbs emerged, swelling in the wind and transforming into fierce, foot-long beetles that circled above Han Li’s head.

Finally, he retrieved a fist-sized white crystal sphere from his hand and spat a mouthful of blood essence onto it.

The blood mist enveloped the sphere before sinking into it, turning the crystal a deep crimson.

Han Li tossed the sphere into the air before him, chanting solemnly while rapidly flicking his fingers toward it.

A torrent of multicolored incantations surged into the sphere, causing it to emit an eerie glow.

As the bloody light within the sphere flickered and shifted, it eventually condensed into an unknown blood-red rune. With a long exhale, Han Li swept his sleeve over the sphere, enveloping it in azure light before storing it away.

After a brief pause, he reached out to touch the mysterious patterns on his arm. When nothing happened, he let out a bitter chuckle.

Without further hesitation, he threw back his head and let out a long roar. His body erupted in golden light, transforming into a hundred-zhang-tall golden ape.

Once the roar ceased, the ape crossed its arms and stood at the center of the sword array, coldly staring into the distance without moving.

Moments later, a thunderous roar echoed from the horizon.

A flash of blood-red light revealed a small crimson boat, which shot forward like a streak of blood.

In a few breaths, the blood light dissipated, and the streak reappeared in the sky near Han Li, reforming into the boat.

Onboard stood three identical-looking youths, each with a different expression.

The leader wore a mocking sneer, while the other two remained expressionless, their gazes sharp as blades.

“Hmph, human brat, you run fast. But stopping now—do you really think you can survive with just a sword array and a few temporary formations?” the leading youth scoffed.

“Whether it works or not, we’ll have to test it. Did you expect me to surrender?” the golden ape boomed with laughter. Its massive hands clawed at the air, and two crystalline hands—one black, one white—materialized above the boat.

One radiated gray light, while the other blazed with five-colored cold flames. Their fingers spread menacingly as they pressed down.

“Hmph, overestimating yourself.”

The leading youth snorted disdainfully, forming a hand seal. Black mist churned behind him, and two gray tentacles shot out like spears, piercing the giant hands.

The moment the tentacles struck, the hands burst like balloons, dissipating into motes of light.

However, the magnetic divine light and five-colored cold flames within the hands surged forth.

With a flash, one tentacle froze into an icy pillar, while the other shattered under the gray light.

“Oh? Magnetic divine light? Rare indeed,” the youth muttered, his earlier confidence waning.

Han Li frowned slightly, but the golden ape grinned coldly. “Did you really think your avatar alone could make me flee? I just wanted to distance myself from your lackeys.”

“Confident, aren’t you? Is it because of those two hiding in the shadows?” the youth sneered.

At the same moment, the two figures behind him struck.

One spat out a black orb that transformed into a small cauldron, from which a black beam shot forth.

The other hurled a blurry seven-colored pagoda shadow.

Their attacks targeted seemingly empty space on either side of the boat.

Two explosions later, two figures were forcibly revealed—one golden with three heads and six arms, the other green-skinned and expressionless.

Han Li’s expression darkened.

But to his surprise, the leading youth’s face twisted strangely upon seeing the golden body.

“True Devil Dharma Form? Heh, interesting. A human cultivating the True Devil Art to this extent, even condensing a golden body… The old ones would be furious,” the youth mused, his tone mocking.

Han Li wasn’t surprised. The True Devil Art’s form was unmistakable to any demonic cultivator.

Among humans, few had mastered it to this degree, which was why Han Li rarely used it.

But against this Blood Light Saint Ancestor’s avatar, he held nothing back.

Casually glancing at the avatar controlling the cauldron, Han Li began chanting silently.

A furry hand concealed the blood-rune crystal sphere, its glow pulsing like a living thing.

The leading youth narrowed his eyes at the golden body and spirit body, but suddenly, his face twisted in rage.

“Daring to scheme before me? Die!”

Black light surged behind him, revealing a towering demonic shadow with giant horns and writhing tentacles.

With a mere flick, the tentacles crossed hundreds of zhang in an instant, stabbing toward Han Li.

“Too late!” the ape roared, crushing the crystal sphere.

The blood rune vanished into its palm.

Simultaneously, a curtain of sword light transformed into a dozen azure lotuses, each radiating razor-sharp petals.

The tentacles plunged into them—only to be shredded into fragments by the whirling blades.

The youth sneered, changing his incantation, but a shrill screech erupted behind him.

He spun around to see the purple cauldron trembling violently before shooting skyward from the other avatar’s grip.

The avatar reacted swiftly, conjuring a massive claw to trap it.

But before it could, the golden ape slammed its chest and roared—a thunderous sound that shook the avatars.

The claw shattered, and the cauldron shot free.

“Stop it!” the youth bellowed in fury.

The third avatar hurled the seven-colored pagoda.
