Chapter 2168: The Great Battle of the Mu Clan (7)

“Bang! Bang!” Two loud sounds rang out!

The hairy man’s two fists shattered into bloody mist the moment they collided with the Extreme Mountains. His body trembled violently before being sent flying backward by an overwhelming force.

The two Extreme Mountains didn’t pause for even a second. With another blur, they appeared on either side of the hairy man and mercilessly smashed inward.

A deafening boom erupted as the two mountains collided violently, unleashing a blinding halo of light and shockwaves that swept outward.

Amid the thunderous noise, a brief, agonized scream from the hairy man could faintly be heard before it was abruptly cut off.

When the light and shockwaves finally dissipated, four glowing orbs suddenly shot out from the bloody mist between the mountains, desperately fleeing in different directions.

These were the Nascent Souls of the four Void Refinement-stage demons!

“Thinking of escaping now?” Han Li, still in his giant ape form, snorted coldly. With a single wave of his massive hand, he struck from afar.

A deep hum reverberated as the space within a mile of the Extreme Mountains distorted violently under the force of his palm.

The four Nascent Souls flickered briefly before exploding into motes of spiritual light without even a scream.

Han Li chuckled lightly before withdrawing his technique. The giant ape rapidly shrank, reverting to his human form.

The surrounding Wood Tribe members gaped in stunned silence.

Even Fei Xiaoxi, high in the sky, was no better. Her lips parted slightly, her gaze frozen in shock.

The enemy she had struggled against for so long had been obliterated by Han Li in an instant—without even a single exchange. For someone as proud as her, it was almost impossible to believe, as if she were dreaming.

Just as the Yaksha Tribe’s Venerable took a deep breath and forced a smile to speak, a low hum emanated from Han Li’s sleeve—clear enough for all to hear.

Han Li’s expression shifted slightly. Without hesitation, he flicked his sleeve, sending out a green light that circled once before landing in his palm as a formation disk.

With two quick taps of his finger, the panicked voice of the Wood Tribe elder came through:

“Brother Han, it’s bad! Five suspected Saint Ancestor avatars have appeared nearby and are rapidly approaching our mountain range. I’ve activated all our restrictions to delay them, but at best, we can only hold them off for half a meal’s time. Have you finished your battle? Can you spare the effort?”

Fei Xiaoxi and the Wood Tribe members paled at the news.

Han Li’s expression darkened slightly as he replied gravely, “Are you certain they’re Saint Ancestor avatars and not ordinary Demon Venerables? And don’t worry—all the demons here are dead.”

“Excellent! You’re finally free. Judging by their attacks, these five demons are all at the late Body Integration stage. Aside from Saint Ancestor avatars, how could the demons gather so many terrifyingly powerful Venerables at once? It’s almost certain. This group must be different from the ones attacking the third formation node. It seems the demons have truly gathered their avatars and split them into multiple forces to assault our three nodes. Brother Han, can you delay them for a while?”

The Wood Tribe elder’s voice was urgent yet hopeful.

“Oh? Do you have another strategy to repel them?” Han Li narrowed his eyes slightly.

“If you can hold off these avatars for half an hour, I can reverse the formation node’s power, absorbing the entire grand formation’s energy to merge with the reserve Sacred Tree. That will activate an extremely powerful restriction to temporarily trap them.”

The elder wasted no time revealing his trump card.

“If the node has such a method, why was the third one breached?” Han Li frowned slightly.

“The previous avatars attacked too quickly. The defenders at the third node didn’t have time to activate it before their restrictions were shattered and the node destroyed.”

The elder’s voice was bitter.

“I see. Half an hour? That’s no problem. Brother Crab and I will do our best. Teleport us directly to those avatars.”

Han Li smiled faintly, agreeing without hesitation.

“Good! If you can truly delay them that long, I’m confident we can hold this node.”

The elder’s spirits lifted, clearly trusting the restriction’s power.

“Fairy Fei, you heard Elder Cao’s message. Brother Crab and I will handle the Saint Ancestor avatars. You should return to the node to guard it in case of other demon ambushes. The rest of you, go back as well.”

Han Li stored the formation disk and turned to Fei Xiaoxi and the Wood Tribe members, his tone calm.

“Since Brother Han is confident, I won’t be a hindrance. I’ll return to assist Elder Cao immediately.”

The Yaksha woman, still recovering from her shock, hesitated briefly before exhaling and nodding.

Without waiting for further words, she formed a hand seal, her body glowing as she transformed into a rainbow streak and shot away.

The Wood Tribe members naturally followed without protest, soaring into the sky after her.

Han Li watched the departing lights, his expression serene. But moments later, the corner of his mouth curled into a cold smile.

“Five Saint Ancestor avatars… this will take some effort. Soon, more will arrive. Brother Crab, let’s go. If we can eliminate all these avatars, the Demon Saint Ancestors’ arrogance will surely be dealt a heavy blow.”

With that, he beckoned to Crab.

The puppet stepped forward without expression, appearing right beside him.

The next instant, spatial fluctuations rippled around them as countless motes of light converged beneath their feet, forming a multicolored teleportation array.

Han Li stood straight at the center, casually flicking a spell into the array’s edge.

A low hum sounded as radiant light engulfed them, and they vanished without a trace.

The array lingered briefly before shattering with a muffled pop.

A hundred miles from the mountain range, five high-ranking demons of varying attire had just shattered a blazing restriction when space rippled before them.

Han Li and Crab appeared silently.

The demons paused, then smirked, studying the newcomers with interest rather than attacking immediately.

Han Li remained expressionless, calmly assessing them in turn.

Three men, two women.

Among the men: an elderly figure in dark green robes, his face wrinkled, eyes unusually long and cold; two burly warriors in battle armor, their faces hideous, their auras thick with killing intent.

The women were both stunning—one petite and exuding irresistible charm, the other tall and coldly beautiful, with a pair of black wings on her back.

“Two late-Body Integration cultivators. Not weak. Who will deal with them?”

The robed elder coughed lightly before speaking.

“Time is of the essence. Every moment wasted means hundreds of our kin perish. Leave them to me. The rest of you, press on.”

A golden-armored demon with twin horns grinned, summoning a massive black axe with a roll of dark mist.

“Very well. With Brother Niu’s power, these two won’t be a problem. Let’s move.”

The elder nodded, vanishing into a wisp of wind.

The three-eyed warrior stomped his foot, transforming into a bolt of lightning that disappeared into the void.

The two demonesses exchanged a glance, their bodies wreathed in demonic energy as they prepared to follow.

At the same time, the axe-wielder roared, swinging his weapon in a vicious arc toward Han Li and Crab.

A blade of darkness, dozens of feet long, tore through the air, leaving white scars in its wake.

“Thinking of leaving? Dream on! Stay right here!”

Han Li’s eyes flashed coldly as he formed hand seals. Golden light erupted behind him, revealing a three-headed, six-armed dharma form—the Sacred Buddha Avatar.

The six arms blurred, each manifesting a golden greatsword before slashing outward.

Six golden sword beams shot forth, vanishing into the void mid-flight.

Meanwhile, the black axe’s energy surged forward.

Crab took a single step, positioning himself before Han Li. With a casual flick of his finger, he met the oncoming darkness.
