Chapter 2323: Great Battle Outside the Valley (Part 3)

Seeing this, the tiny figure transformed from the Golden Devouring Beetle King showed no intention of holding back. Its ten fingers flicked rapidly once more.

A chilling expanse of crystalline light surged forth again.

But this time, before the light could fully merge into the black wind, an enraged roar erupted from within. Suddenly, a massive blue blade, over a hundred zhang long, cleaved through the darkness.

The blade was bizarre in shape, slightly curved—neither a sword nor a saber. With a deafening roar, an intense, bone-chilling cold erupted from its surface, its power astonishing beyond measure.

The Golden Devouring Beetle King merely glanced at the blade with an indifferent expression. The crystalline sword light it had unleashed flared brilliantly, merging into a single, dazzling arc dozens of zhang long, slashing toward the blue blade.

Upon contact, the crystalline light and the freezing aura flashed simultaneously, producing a crisp *puff* sound.

The blue blade was instantly severed in half.

The crystalline sword light was so sharp that no ordinary treasure could withstand it for even a moment.

Unhindered, the crystalline light flickered once before ruthlessly plunging back into the black wind.

A furious shout echoed as the black wind abruptly churned violently, transforming into a towering hurricane.

Amid the howling winds, countless flashes of crystalline light erupted, forcibly dispersing the hurricane with sheer force.

*Boom!*

A massive figure was struck by the crystalline light and sent flying out of the black wind. After staggering several times, it finally steadied itself over a hundred zhang away.

It was none other than the monstrous giant form of the Immortal Venerable!

Yet now, he appeared utterly disheveled—his body riddled with wounds, one leg completely missing, and the massive bone shield in his hand, shimmering with layers of black radiance, was now broken and missing a large chunk.

The giant’s gaze toward the distant tiny figure was filled not only with fury but also deep wariness—even a trace of fear.

Despite his grievous injuries, the giant threw back its head and let out a long roar. All its wounds began fading at an incredible speed, and countless blood threads sprayed from the missing leg, rapidly weaving together to regenerate it.

Seeing this, the Golden Devouring Beetle King narrowed its crystalline eyes and raised an arm, pointing a finger at the giant.

*Whoosh!*

In an instant, countless invisible sword energies erupted from the void around the giant, converging from all directions toward its center.

Simultaneously, the tiny figure drifted forward, gliding toward the giant.

The giant’s expression changed. With a furious roar, it pounded its chest with a fist. A layer of black crystalline light swiftly enveloped its body, and the white bone spikes covering it trembled before shooting out, transforming into streaks of white light to intercept the invisible sword energies.

Meanwhile, the giant hurled its broken bone shield at the approaching tiny figure. The shield emitted a resonant hum, morphing into a gray-white wheel of light as it shot forth!

The giant then twisted its body, vanishing from its original position in a blur.

A moment later, spatial fluctuations rippled several hundred zhang away, and the giant reappeared.

*Boom!*

The tiny figure raised a fist slightly, shattering the incoming bone shield with a single strike. A cold glint flashed in its eyes before it transformed into a streak of crystalline light, charging straight at the distant giant.

The Immortal Venerable’s heart trembled. Glancing down, he saw his regenerating leg still dripping with blood, barely halfway restored. Gritting his teeth, he vanished again, reappearing elsewhere.

But the Golden Devouring Beetle King’s tiny form had no intention of letting him escape. The crystalline arc curved sharply, relentlessly pursuing him.

Thus, a stalemate ensued—one continuously teleporting to evade, the other chasing without pause.

By this time, the Threefold Daoist on the other side had just finished uttering the word “ten.” But upon seeing the giant ape standing coldly in the sky, staring at them, his face paled in shock.

“Impossible! That blood poison is overwhelmingly potent—even an immortal body would collapse within three steps after being afflicted. How are you unharmed?” the young Daoist exclaimed in disbelief.

“Thinking a mere blood poison could harm me, Han Li, is pure delusion. Though I must admit, that little snake managing to pierce my skin is quite impressive,” the giant ape sneered, raising the bitten finger before slapping it with its other furry hand.

*Puff!*

A jet of black blood shot out from an almost imperceptible bite mark on the fingertip.

Han Li had instantly expelled the serpent’s venom.

Given the immense resilience of his transformed body, even if the poison had spread, it would have caused only minor discomfort at most.

Moreover, he had previously cultivated the Myriad Poison Chaos Body, a technique specifically designed to neutralize toxins. The blood poison was utterly ineffective against him.

Nearby, Huang Yuanzi’s expression flickered between uncertainty and malice. Glancing toward the valley and the fleeing Immortal Venerable, a ruthless glint flashed in his eyes. Suddenly, he stomped on the massive archway beneath him.

The archway blurred, vanishing into a faint haze.

Above the giant ape, thunder rumbled as the archway silently reappeared.

Huang Yuanzi, who had teleported with it, let out a shrill cry as one of his arms detached from his shoulder. With a quick incantation, the arm exploded into a bloody mist, which swiftly merged into the archway.

Realizing Huang Yuanzi was preparing a formidable secret technique, the giant ape’s eyes gleamed with ferocity. It swung a massive fist toward the archway.

As the furry fist struck, half the sky darkened, and an overwhelming spiritual pressure surged forth like a storm, engulfing the archway and Huang Yuanzi.

At that moment, Huang Yuanzi let out a piercing scream. His body glowed crimson as countless blood threads erupted from his skin. With a final leap, he transformed into a faint blood shadow and merged into the archway.

*Boom!*

The space around the archway rippled like a reflection in water. The storm of spiritual pressure passed straight through it, dissipating only after sweeping hundreds of zhang away.

“Illusionary techniques!”

The giant ape paused briefly, a flicker of surprise crossing its face before it sneered. Forming a hand seal, it prepared to dispel the illusion.

With his spiritual eyes and divine sense surpassing even ordinary True Immortals, illusions were nothing but futile tricks before him.

Yet at that moment, Huang Yuanzi’s voice rang out from above, filled with resentment:

“Your powers are extraordinary, and I know I’m no match for you. But why must you interfere? I’ve sworn a heart demon oath—I will not leave the Netherworld River until Qing Yuanzi is dead. If you withdraw now, I’ll offer you half my lifelong savings. Otherwise, you leave me no choice but to fight to the death.”

“Fight to the death? With these petty illusions?” The giant ape threw back its head and laughed uproariously. Blue light flashed in its eyes as a golden hand shot out like lightning, grasping toward another direction.

As its fingers flexed, faint glimmers of cold light flickered, as if it could tear through the very void.

A low growl echoed as the golden hand seized the air. Multicolored radiance swirled, and the space nearby rippled. A faint crimson shadow flickered momentarily before vanishing.

When the golden hand retracted, only a few yellow cloth strips and droplets of blood clung to its claws.

Though it hadn’t captured Huang Yuanzi, the attack had left him wounded.

Han Li frowned slightly, seemingly surprised.

“You’ve forced my hand! Witness the true power of the Nine Illusions Archway!”

Huang Yuanzi’s furious voice boomed from above. As a low chant followed, spatial fluctuations erupted around Han Li. Nine glowing orbs materialized, condensing into nine identical white archways.

Each stood over ten zhang tall, their surfaces crystalline and translucent. The moment they appeared, a resonant hum filled the air as countless blood-red runes surged forth, trembling before transforming into countless thumb-sized gray-white orbs.

Each orb was veined with blood threads, pulsing erratically while exuding an aura that sent a chill down Han Li’s spine.

“Mother-Child Corpse Yin Thunder!”

Han Li recognized the orbs instantly, his heart clenching in alarm.

The giant ape formed a hand seal, and a surge of cold light erupted from its body. Countless green threads shot forth, each targeting the orbs.

Though the Yin Thunder contained devastating power, its activation was slow—enough time for Han Li to sever them with his sword threads.

Yet the next moment, the giant ape’s pupils contracted.

The green threads passed straight through the orbs as if they were mere illusions.

“Illusions?!”

Han Li was stunned. He had scanned the orbs earlier with his divine sense and spiritual eyes, detecting no anomalies.

As the orbs drifted toward him, his mind raced. The giant ape suddenly shimmered gold as a massive hand shot out, seizing one of the gray-white orbs dozens of zhang away.

The moment his fingers touched it, a searing heat erupted in his palm. His expression changed drastically.

*Boom!*

A gray halo exploded between his fingers, rapidly expanding. A terrifying force erupted within the light, instantly engulfing the giant ape’s entire body.
