Chapter 159: The Day of Blazing Flames

Beneath the inner armor, there was another layer of tight corset. This dark gray corset was overly plain and seemed to be bound too tightly. Even through the clothing, an unnatural protrusion could be seen on the side, indicating a broken rib.

Qian Ye only hesitated for a moment before reaching into the corset, pulling it up slightly, and then slicing it open with his sword. The existence of this tight corset had already caused Li Kuanglan’s broken sternum to shift, and if not removed, her injuries would be impossible to treat.

Once the corset was opened, two snowy, soft mounds burst forth, fiercely bouncing against Qian Ye’s hand, even brushing against it a few times.

Qian Ye was momentarily startled, and as he looked closely, he saw two small peaks proudly standing, with faintly swaying peach blossoms at their summits. That snow-white plumpness and those seductive peach blossoms made one want to take a bite.

Qian Ye stared blankly for a moment before recalling some long-forgotten, dust-covered memories. Song Zining once mentioned that Li Kuanglan was actually the younger sister of the current Empress Li, but she had been practicing swordsmanship since a young age and was considered a prodigy. She had always dressed in men’s attire and was known by very few people for her true identity. Qian Ye had interacted with her mostly on the battlefield, and her sharp and sword-like aura had led him to forget that she was, in fact, a woman. He had always treated her as a man.

Now, with her clothes off, Qian Ye realized that she was indeed a woman, a very womanly one at that.

To be fair, Li Kuanglan’s figure did not match the explosively voluptuous extent of Nan Gong Xiaoniao, but with the physical advantages of a top-tier young powerhouse, her shape was perfect. Even under high gravity, they stood tall and proud, defying the heavens.

Qian Ye gathered his focus, banishing all impure thoughts, and began to mend her sternum calmly.

This was no easy task. Li Kuanglan had seven or eight broken ribs, and the remaining ones were mostly cracked. There were also many small, loose bone fragments inside her chest. Qian Ye had to use his original force to guide these fragments back to their original positions, all while avoiding damage to her internal organs. The difficulty was no less than facing Luo Bingfeng, and any carelessness could cost Li Kuanglan her life.

Qian Ye’s pupils glowed with a deep blue as he tried to channel his pupil power into Li Kuanglan’s body, using the controlling gaze to align her bones. However, the difficulty came not only from the severe injuries but also from her impressive figure. During the process of guiding the bone fragments, Qian Ye’s hands inevitably had to pass over the two prominent mounds. It was not an easy task to flatten them; he had to control his force carefully, neither too light—so as not to lose control of the bone fragments—nor too heavy, which could injure other broken bones.

After finally finishing the entire process, Qian Ye was drenched in sweat, as if he had just fought a fierce battle. Part of the difficulty, perhaps 30-40%, was due to that troublesome pair. With a resentful glance, he felt an urge to slap them away.

But after that glance, Qian Ye found it hard to look away. Whether driven by instinct or anger, Qian Ye reached out and grabbed the troublesome pair fiercely.

In an instant, that soft, warm sensation filled his hand.

Startled, Qian Ye quickly composed himself and continued the treatment. He pressed two fingers into Li Kuanglan’s ribs, puncturing two small holes, allowing the clotted blood to flow out. Once the purplish-black blood had drained, Qian Ye sealed the wounds with his original force.

Only then did Qian Ye have a chance to catch his breath. Reflecting on what had just happened, he found it strange that he had lost control and grabbed her chest.

Although he had touched her many times before, even grasping her completely, it was always for medical purposes. On the battlefield, Qian Ye had seen many such critical injuries, and even though Li Kuanglan’s appearance bore a strong resemblance to the Empress, he would never have lost his composure. If he didn’t have this self-control, he would never have achieved his current success.

But that last grab was inexplicable, having nothing to do with healing. The only reason was that Qian Ye had acted impulsively.

Under normal circumstances, this would never happen, yet it did. This was the perplexing part.

Now was not the time to think about this. Li Kuanglan still had multiple broken bones in her lower body that needed to be fixed. And her remaining clothes and armor were still an obstacle, making the situation even more awkward.

However, since he had already seen and touched most of her, it didn’t matter much if he removed the last bit, although this was the most important part. Qian Ye clenched his teeth, discarded all reservations, and used his fingers like a sword to slice off and remove the remaining clothes, leaving her snowy body lying in the center of the cave.

Qian Ye worked from top to bottom, slowly and methodically, connecting each broken bone, moving fragments back to their original places, and even covering the cracks with a touch of original force to activate their vitality. By the time he finished, Qian Ye was drenched in sweat, with barely any of his thick, peerless Dawn Illumination Original Force left.

The real challenge was no longer the severe injuries but her allure.

Those long, straight, and snowy legs exuded incredible elasticity and strength. In a normal state, these legs could easily crush a mountain-sized beast.

Soft yet fierce lines started from her toes, running upward until they were interrupted by the troublesome pair that had caused Qian Ye so much trouble. Every turn and curve was breathtaking, especially where the legs met the body, like a great river flowing into the sea, capable of washing away all rationality.

Qian Ye, half-human, was on the brink of losing his last shred of rationality.

Unconsciously, his hand moved to Li Kuanglan’s leg, traveling upward.

A distant roar of a beast brought Qian Ye to his senses, realizing what he was doing. He hastily stood up, activating Dawn Illumination to suppress the primal urges of his bloodline.

The ancient vampire bloodline, at this moment, was a devil belonging to pure instinct, pushing Qian Ye to fulfill the most primal act of reproduction.

Qian Ye realized that the bloodline instincts were growing stronger, and the impulses were becoming more intense, almost drowning his rationality. The delicious and defenseless body in front of him exuded an irresistible temptation, making it hard for Qian Ye to control himself.

Fortunately, Dawn Illumination suppressed the bloodlust, keeping Qian Ye’s last thread of sanity intact.

Without hesitation, Qian Ye drew a dagger and slashed his own thigh, cutting a deep wound to the bone. The pain made him gasp, but it also made him more alert.

He quickly administered an emergency serum into Li Kuanglan’s neck, but as he withdrew the needle, he couldn’t resist touching her chest again.

Realizing he was on the edge of losing control, Qian Ye acted swiftly, injecting her with several more doses of the serum, then took off his inner armor, picked her up, and put on the secret inner armor obtained from the palace.

Once the inner armor was fastened, covering her body, Qian Ye felt a slight sense of relief and exhaled deeply.

At that moment, another long roar echoed in the distance, and Qian Ye felt as if a cold rain was falling on him, finally calming his boiling instincts.

Feeling a change in the atmosphere, Qian Ye looked outside the cave. Unconsciously, the sky had darkened, and the forest was shadowy, blending into a black silhouette. The far distance was engulfed in the night.

Inside the cave, it grew darker, but to Qian Ye, even the slightest light made the world bright. Without any light, the True Sight Pupil could switch to the Original Force vision, still allowing him to see.

On the battlefield, the True Sight Pupil had given Qian Ye a significant advantage, but now it was a nuisance. No matter how dark it was, Qian Ye could see her clearly. Although she wore the inner armor, her body’s curves were still fully visible, and every time his gaze fell on a key area, Qian Ye would instinctively replace the image of the armor with his memory of her.

He didn’t know what was wrong with him, only that he wanted to pour a bucket of ice water over his head to cool down. In the heat of his instincts, even Ye Tu’s image became hazy, and all he could think about was the tempting flesh in front of him.

Night had fallen, and the air began to carry a chill. Inside the cave, it grew icy. In the cold, Qian Ye’s boiling instincts gradually subsided, and he finally felt a bit more at ease, no longer as uncontrollable when he looked at Li Kuanglan.

Qian Ye suddenly noticed that the secret inner armor fit Li Kuanglan perfectly, as if it was tailor-made for her. When Qian Ye had worn it before, he noticed some unreasonable details, such as the slightly wide hips and tight waist. But Qian Ye’s body was powerful, and he forced the armor to fit, disregarding the discomfort. Now, looking back, he realized it wasn’t that simple.

Just by looking at the curves of her waist and hips, Qian Ye knew the previous owner of the armor was likely Li Kuanglan. As for the full chest, it wasn’t a problem; human powerhouses typically had well-defined muscles that could conceal her figure.

A strange feeling welled up in Qian Ye’s heart. For whatever reason, she had given her inner armor to Qian Ye, saving his life more than once during the fierce battle with Luo Bingfeng, and allowing him to navigate the spatial passage with ease. Yet, she had risked her life in the battle. If she hadn’t given up the armor, she wouldn’t have been so severely injured during the passage.

Though the armor was heavier, it was a precious life-saving treasure, and the minor inconvenience in movement was acceptable.

Qian Ye sighed and began to inspect the supplies in the An Duyi Space. Since they were entering the Great Vortex, they would not be staying for just a day or two and needed to plan for the long term.

Thankfully, there were ample potions and Original Force projectiles to last for a while. Li Kuanglan’s injuries had stabilized, and the stored potions would be enough to sustain her until she woke up. Once awake, with the Li family’s resources, she wouldn’t lack for healing secrets.

After finishing the inspection, the night had deepened.
