Chapter 838: Silver Moon Canyon

In the following period, Nie Yan set up teleportation points in the eastern, southern, western parts of the Moya Tribe, and some areas of the Undead Empire.

There were a total of sixteen teleportation points, with each point at least a three-hour journey apart from another. The furthest distance between two points even reached a twelve-hour journey.

Nie Yan’s directional teleportation ability could be used every half hour, allowing him to change his position freely. In this way, the half-demon Angud would have no chance of catching him.

Nie Yan would stay in each location for no more than an hour, and he continuously set new teleportation points.

At the headquarters of the Tribe of Gods guild, Shen Wang was extremely busy and stressed. The half-demon Angud had repeatedly asked him about Nie Yan’s whereabouts. Immediately, Shen Wang deployed numerous informants and searched everywhere for Nie Yan’s location. Soon, he confirmed Nie Yan’s position and informed Angud. However, when Angud arrived, he found nothing but an empty space, as Nie Yan had already appeared thousands of miles away. After several unsuccessful attempts, Angud suspected Shen Wang of deceiving him and was furious. He stormed back to the Tribe of Gods headquarters.

“Give me an explanation. If I find out you deliberately lied to me, you will know the consequences,” Angud stared at Shen Wang with icy eyes.

Shen Wang was drenched in cold sweat. He felt the chilling killing intent from Angud. If his response was even slightly inappropriate, not only would he himself suffer, but the entire Tribe of Gods would face disaster. Carefully, he replied, “Respected Lord Angud, I dare not deceive you. I suspect that the rogue called Nie Yan might possess a teleportation skill, allowing him to travel freely between locations. Every time we confirm his exact position and you rush there, he has already left.”

Angud stared at Shen Wang, trying to determine whether he was lying.

Shen Wang, visibly trembling, stood bent over in front of Angud like a lamb awaiting slaughter.

Angud’s expression slightly softened, and he said indifferently, “In the following period, keep a close watch on his movements and report any information immediately.”

“Yes!” Shen Wang replied solemnly, feeling a sense of relief.

Nie Yan, riding his Darkwing Dragon, traversed most of the Moya Tribe and the Undead Empire. He obtained some clues related to the treasures of the Lich King Insol and the Phynas Necromancer’s Talisman. However, he dared not fully immerse himself in the quest yet. If the mission took too long, Angud might track him down.

Nie Yan contacted members of Angel’s Fall, planning to sell some of the equipment he had acquired in the Dark Faction to them. The meeting point was set in a place called Echo Canyon in the southern Undead Empire.

Nie Yan activated his Dash ability and quickly reached the designated coordinates.

He stealthily surveyed the environment. Around him was a lush jungle, with a 10×10 yard clearing in the center.

Nearby stood a tall tree over ten yards high. Nie Yan activated his climbing skill and swiftly climbed to the top, observing from above.

The members of Angel’s Fall wouldn’t likely break their agreement. After the previous lesson, they should have sent someone trustworthy.

Five minutes before the appointed time, a figure appeared in the clearing—it was Kuang Ao Zhan Qiang (Proud Battle Spear)! Nie Yan had met him a few times before and considered him a familiar acquaintance. Nie Yan did not immediately come down. He observed the surroundings to ensure no one else was nearby, then transformed into an Evil Lawful player using his Deception Gem and jumped down.

“You’re here,” Kuang Ao Zhan Qiang greeted Nie Yan with a smile.

Nie Yan nodded. Both understood each other’s intentions. The cooperation between Angel’s Fall and the Bull Tribe had been quite harmonious, and Nie Yan hoped this collaboration would continue.

“Do you have any good items?” Kuang Ao Zhan Qiang asked directly, without wasting time on small talk.

Nie Yan initiated a trade request with Kuang Ao Zhan Qiang and placed all the items he had acquired from Dark Faction players onto the trade interface. Among them were several good items.

“These are the spoils our people obtained in the Saten Empire,” Kuang Ao Zhan Qiang said, also placing some equipment on the interface.

After discussing the exchange method, Nie Yan confirmed the trade. He received three legendary and seven sub-legendary grade equipments, all around level 130-140, suitable for equipping elite team members.

After the trade, Nie Yan and Kuang Ao Zhan Qiang discussed future cooperation between their guilds.

“Time’s almost up. I need to go,” Nie Yan said, as he still had to continue his mission.

“Wait a moment,” Kuang Ao Zhan Qiang called out to Nie Yan.

Nie Yan stopped and looked at Kuang Ao Zhan Qiang. “What else is it?”

“Do you have a Deathbringer Blade?” Kuang Ao Zhan Qiang hesitated briefly before finally asking.

Nie Yan’s eyes narrowed sharply, locking onto Kuang Ao Zhan Qiang’s gaze, trying to discern something from his expression.

Nie Yan had already confirmed that the entire server knew about the Deathbringer Blade in his possession. He nodded.

“Our guild leader wants to buy your Deathbringer Blade. Name your price, as long as it’s within our budget, we can negotiate,” Kuang Ao Zhan Qiang said, slightly unsettled by Nie Yan’s piercing gaze.

The Deathbringer Blade had caused a sensation among Evil Lawful players. Although Nie Yan couldn’t use the artifact at the moment, he was certain it was related to a main quest. Guo Huai was investigating the exact purpose of the Deathbringer Blade and why both Dark Faction players and NPCs were so desperately seeking it.

Kuang Ao Zhan Qiang’s inquiry proved that Angel’s Fall also coveted Nie Yan’s Deathbringer Blade!

The Deathbringer Blade was also connected to one of Nie Yan’s quests—he needed to bring it to the Archangel Tyrode. If the blade were lost, he had no idea what kind of quest failure penalty he might face.

“Tell your guild leader that the Deathbringer Blade is a quest item of mine and cannot be sold,” Nie Yan said, then turned and left.

Watching Nie Yan’s figure disappear into the depths of the jungle, Kuang Ao Zhan Qiang dialed Duo Duo’s voice call.

“What did he say?” Duo Duo asked through the voice call.

“He said the Deathbringer Blade is a quest item and cannot be sold. This might just be Kuang Zhan Nie Yan’s excuse. Boss, what should we do?” Kuang Ao Zhan Qiang asked.

“Kuang Zhan Nie Yan is probably telling the truth. The Deathbringer Blade is indeed a quest item. Whether it can be sold or not remains unclear. We’ll have to let it go for now. Before we defeat Angel Dominion, we absolutely cannot damage our cooperation with the Bull Tribe. Don’t lose the big picture over small gains,” Duo Duo replied, understanding that they still needed the Bull Tribe’s strength to deal with Angel Dominion and couldn’t afford to lose their alliance over something trivial.

“So we’re just going to give up on the Deathbringer Blade? What about the quest? Should we continue contacting Kuang Zhan Nie Yan? Maybe we can persuade him.”

“You don’t need to worry about this anymore. Let’s leave it at that.”

“Fine,” Kuang Ao Zhan Qiang didn’t ask further, ended the voice call, glanced once more at the place where Nie Yan had left, then turned and departed.

Nie Yan used a Fixed-Point Teleport to instantly arrive at a grassland in the eastern part of the Moya Tribe. He glanced at the Deathbringer Blade in his backpack—this item was truly a source of endless trouble. Every player in the Dark Faction coveted it and would never give up easily. As for Angel’s Fall, there were still many shared interests between them and the Bull Tribe, with ample room for future cooperation. Angel’s Fall wouldn’t risk severing ties with Nie Yan over just one Deathbringer Blade.

This only increased Nie Yan’s curiosity about the Deathbringer Blade. What made it so captivating?

In the following period, Nie Yan was no longer disturbed by the half-demon Angud.

He had received a clear quest prompt, indicating the target location was Silver Moon Canyon in the southeastern part of the Moya Tribe.

Nie Yan teleported to the northwestern part of the Moya Tribe, attacked a village, killed over a thousand players, and then left.

Soon, he received news that Angud was heading to the northwestern part of the Moya Tribe. Nie Yan smiled slightly; this was exactly the effect he wanted!

Nie Yan used a fixed-point teleportation to arrive at Silver Moon Canyon, then entered stealth mode, evading everyone’s sight as he ventured deep into the canyon.

On the outskirts of Silver Moon Canyon, monsters around level 120-130 usually spawned, so many players often grouped here to level up. However, inside the canyon, monsters were generally around level 170-180, so very few players came here to train.

After passing through a dense jungle, a large open space appeared before Nie Yan. Ahead was a village with a few scattered buildings made of thatch.

System: You discovered the Basilisk Tribe.

Looking in that direction, Nie Yan saw some basilisks moving about. Their lower bodies were snake-like, while their upper halves were bare human forms with six thick arms, wielding weapons like blades and halberds.

They were elite-level creatures of at least level 180!

Nie Yan was about to approach and clear out these basilisks when he noticed they were agitated, seemingly disturbed by something, and were gathering in one direction. Looking closely, he saw that something was happening among the basilisks.

There were people here? Could it be a team clearing monsters?

Nie Yan activated his stealth skill and slowly moved closer. Finally, he saw clearly that there was no team present, only a rogue player. Looking at his appearance, he seemed to be an Undead rogue.

The Undead rogue raised his shortbow and shot several arrows, hitting the basilisks. The creatures were immediately enraged, hissing and flicking their red tongues as they surrounded the Undead rogue.

The Undead rogue immediately ran backward, dropping several scrolls. Immediately behind him, walls of fire appeared. As the basilisks passed through the fire walls, damage numbers floated above their heads.
