Yao Zuizui washed herself clean and fragrant, humming a cheerful tune as if in high spirits.
Zhu Erer trembled as she asked, “Sister, aren’t you scared?”
She was terrified—so terrified that she would betray her own flesh and blood just to save her own piggy life…
Yao Zuizui couldn’t be bothered to respond and simply walked out alone, settling onto the leather sofa in the living room, waiting for the black wolf to appear.
Zhu Erer shakily followed her, her legs weak, and collapsed onto the sofa, causing it to tremble slightly.
Soon enough, the black wolf arrived.
As a pig, she had no sense of aesthetics.
But Zhu Yiyi’s inner self was the little fairy Yao Zuizui, so when she saw Suhei’s appearance, she couldn’t help but scoff.
Even as a wolf, he had to be so flashy.
At that moment, the black wolf had taken on a human form—sharp brows, starry eyes, fair skin wrapped in a perfectly tailored tuxedo, crisp and immaculate, with a black tie. He looked every bit the aristocratic, restrained beauty.
Holding a knife, fork, and plate, he approached Yao Zuizui with refined elegance, though his bloodthirsty gaze was impossible to hide.
Yao Zuizui sat obediently on the sofa, swinging her little legs. “Are you really going to eat me?”
She still looked like a pig, just like the adorable, innocent piglets from cartoons—though it was all an act, it still managed to bewitch the black wolf.
He hesitated slightly, inhaling the sweet scent of her body wash. Swallowing hard, he said, “Of course! You’ve already cleaned yourself up, so just close your eyes. I’ll bite through your throat in one go—it won’t hurt~”
Yao Zuizui tilted her head. “Didn’t you say you’d fatten me up first? I’m very well-behaved, I don’t eat much, and I can even do chores. Keep me around a little longer~”
She reached out, tugging at the hem of his tuxedo, gazing at him with pitiful eyes.
The black wolf stared at her soft, delicate paw, his heart wavering. Indeed, if she grew plumper, she’d be even more delicious.
But… this little pig had some nerve, daring to tug at his clothes!
This tuxedo had been painstakingly ironed by the geese from the eastern forest!
He roughly shook off her hand and growled, “Sit still, or I’ll eat you right now!”
Realizing she’d dodged a bullet, Yao Zuizui immediately clasped her hands behind her back and sat obediently, flashing him a sweet, well-behaved smile.
The black wolf was quite pleased. This little pig was trouble-free and obedient—might as well keep her for now.
As for the other one…
His cruel gaze shifted to Zhu Erer.
Zhu Erer wanted to imitate Zhu Yiyi, but she hadn’t cleaned herself properly. In fact, to avoid being eaten, she’d stuffed mud into every crevice of her skin.
“Y-Your Majesty… I-I’m dirty! I won’t taste good!” Under the black wolf’s bloodthirsty stare, Zhu Erer couldn’t muster any charm. In fact, she felt like she might have… wet herself.
Both the black wolf and Yao Zuizui wrinkled their noses at the smell.
Without hesitation, the black wolf tossed Zhu Erer—along with the leather sofa she was sitting on—out of the house.
Outside, a big grizzly bear happened to be passing by.
A pig falling from the sky? This was a dream come true!
The grizzly bear stared at Zhu Erer in delight. The black wolf waved dismissively. “She’s yours. No need to thank me.”
Unlike the black wolf, the grizzly had no qualms about cleanliness or pickiness. It happily scooped Zhu Erer up and trotted home.
Yao Zuizui, accustomed to life and death, felt no attachment to Zhu Erer.
As for Zhu Erer’s fate, she could only say, “Good luck.”
She stood motionless, watching the grizzly’s shadow shrink into the distance. The black wolf, however, mistook her stillness for grief over her sister’s fate.
His large hand settled on her head, covering her entirely. “Stop staring. I’m hungry—go cook for me.”
Truthfully, he didn’t want her to be sad, but his words lacked any gentleness.
As for why he didn’t want her sad…
The black wolf rationalized it to himself: sadness would make her depressed, depression would ruin the meat’s quality, and spoiled meat wouldn’t be tender or delicious.
Thus, without realizing it, the black wolf had once again created trouble for himself.
Somewhere deep down, he felt he should keep this little pig happy. Even if she made unreasonable demands, for the sake of the meat’s flavor, he ought to oblige.
Unbeknownst to Yao Zuizui, the black wolf had already convinced himself to indulge her—without her lifting a finger.
Rolling up her sleeves, she headed to the kitchen.
For the first time, the black wolf followed her inside.
Not for any particular reason—he just wanted to check for potential hazards, like flying embers or exploding pots.
He usually paid no mind to kitchen safety, but he couldn’t risk harming this delicate little pig.
What he saw horrified him.
The sharp knife flashing in Zhu Yiyi’s hand, the flames leaping on the stove, the crackling charcoal—it all made his heart race.
What if she hurt herself?
After all the effort he’d put into raising her, he couldn’t let her ruin herself so easily.
His face darkened as he grabbed Yao Zuizui’s paw mid-carrot wash. “Stop.”
Yao Zuizui blinked at him in confusion.
She was just washing carrots—what had she done wrong now?
Was her carrot-washing technique incorrect?
“No more cooking. The kitchen’s dangerous,” the black wolf said, his expression softening slightly as he hauled her out.
Yao Zuizui understood—he was worried about her!
Now was the time to strike while the iron was hot.
Her eyes misty, she stood on tiptoe, stretching her paw toward him. “Paw hurts! Blow on it~”
She was going all out with the cuteness!
Surely, he couldn’t resist an adorable little piggy!
Her eyes were dewy and soft, but the black wolf rejected her without hesitation.
“No. Don’t you have a mouth?” He turned away. Spoiled brat—who even raised her like this?
“Your Majesty blows longer, stronger—feels better!” Yao Zuizui’s voice was soft, like little bubbles floating into his heart.
Hmm. That made sense. Flattered, the black wolf looked back at her.
“Blow blow, no blisters, no pain, tastier meat!” Yao Zuizui’s lethal cuteness knew no bounds. She even stood on tiptoe, pretending to blow on her own paw twice.
She had a point.
The black wolf recalled his earlier resolution: to fulfill this little pig’s wishes, play her music, keep her happy and comfortable so she’d grow plump—ensuring the meat would be delicious.
Swallowing hard, he bent down and began blowing on Yao Zuizui’s paw.
“Your Majesty, too strong! Gently!” Yao Zuizui nearly got blown away.
“Your Majesty, too soft! Too ticklish!” She giggled uncontrollably.
The black wolf began to wonder—was he raising food, or a pampered princess?
——————
The black wolf, ruler of the forest, took his little pig Yao Zuizui out foraging again.
There was a reason a wolf could dominate the forest—his soul carried a fragment of the Demon King’s essence, making him fiercer than any other predator.
Yao Zuizui could’ve easily stayed home, but the black wolf, carrying her, grumbled inwardly about what sin he’d committed to end up raising a pig.
Leaving her alone risked other animals sneaking in to eat her.
Letting her wander outside risked her being snatched by a passing grizzly.
Bringing her along meant she’d fuss to be carried—utterly burdensome.
Fuming, the black wolf glanced at her watery eyes and pink, delicate skin—and instantly deflated.
An inexplicable softness filled him, baffling even himself.
“We’re here!” The little pig, comfortably nestled in his arms, lifted a paw and pointed cheerfully at a nearby house.
Her eyes sparkled like the lake in the western forest—clear, bright, and pure, making him want to dive right in.
Damn it.
Why was a pig this cute?
Grumpily, he covered her face with his large hand. “I have eyes.”
“Fine.” She pouted, her warm breath tickling his palm.
Damn it.
Suppressing the odd feeling in his chest, he set her down by a tree and approached Zhu Sansan’s house.
Zhu Sansan’s house, built with bricks from a farmer, was sturdy.
The black wolf’s voice was cold yet melodious. “Little pig, little pig, let me in.”
Zhu Sansan stammered, “N-no! I won’t let you in!”
No matter how charming the wolf king sounded, she wouldn’t open the door.
The black wolf snarled, “Then I’ll huff and puff and blow your house down!”
Despite his ferocity, Yao Zuizui wasn’t the least bit afraid.
Bored, she propped her head on her hand under the tree, nearly dozing off.
The black wolf huffed and puffed, but the house stood firm.
Realizing it wouldn’t fall, he switched tactics, his voice dripping with temptation. “Little pig, I know a place with a whole field of beautiful carrots.”
His little pig Zhu Yiyi loved carrots.
Surely Zhu Sansan did too.
Sure enough, Zhu Sansan asked eagerly, “Where?”
The black wolf smirked. “In Mr. Smith’s garden. If you’d like, I’ll come get you tomorrow morning, and we’ll pick some for dinner.”
Zhu Sansan pondered. “Alright. What time?”
“Six in the morning,” the black wolf said.
And so, wolf and pig reached an agreement.
Pleased, the black wolf turned back—only to find his little pig fast asleep.
Typical pig!
