Chapter 235: Starry Sky Colossal Beast

“The sea beast is advancing relentlessly, led by this mysterious creature. We are utterly unable to stop it! Everyone, tell me, what should we do?” The dark-skinned president anxiously looked around the conference hall. Everyone’s expression was solemn. The dark-skinned president continued anxiously, “The death toll has now reached 210,800—that means 210,000 death notices have been sent out!” Tears glistened at the corners of his eyes as he spoke.

A heavy silence filled the room.

After all, these were lives lost!

Luo Feng stared at the frozen image of the mysterious beast on the screen. Though the creature was now devouring the citizens of America, Luo Feng felt some sorrow and sympathy, but not deeply. Instead, a heavy sense of oppression weighed on him. Today it was Americans dying, but what about tomorrow?

If his fellow countrymen were devoured in the tens of thousands…

What a horrifying scene that would be!

“That must never happen!” Luo Feng clenched his fists tightly.

“Where did this mysterious beast come from? We’ve never seen anything like it before!”

“It has four hooves and yet has wings—wings covered in scales!”

“How could it swallow an entire war base in one bite?”

“What kind of monster is it?”

The conference hall buzzed with low murmurs. The leaders, speakers, and powerful warriors from various nations bore expressions of anxiety they could not hide. Faced with this sudden, mysterious, and terrifying creature, everyone was flustered and panicked. Even Hong and Thunderclap were grave-faced. They both understood clearly…

This mysterious beast could have two beast kings as its subordinates, and even the highest-powered laser cannons couldn’t scratch a single scale on its body.

Its strength far surpassed theirs!

“I figured it out!”

“I figured it out.”

Suddenly a loud voice in English rang out, and Luo Feng automatically heard the translated Chinese in his mind from the virtual space. “Figured what out?” Luo Feng turned his head, as did everyone else in the conference hall. They saw a bald, white-haired old man shouting excitedly. Seeing everyone’s attention on him, the old man said, “My name is Clarence, from the HR Alliance. I’m in charge of ancient civilization ruins.”

“What do you know?” Hong, dressed in black, stared at him.

Everyone in the conference hall fixed their eyes on him.

The bald old man bowed slightly before straightening up again. “I’m sure most of you speakers and council members already know… reaching the councilor level is actually equivalent to entering the first tier of Star-Level.”

Most of the council members remained calm.

However, the national leaders and dozens of warriors attending the meeting were visibly shocked.

“Silence.” Hong’s deep voice commanded.

The hall fell into silence.

Clarence, the bald old man, continued, “According to some records in the ancient ruins, the Star-Level is divided into nine tiers. Above that are the Stellar-Level and the Cosmic-Level. Among countless planets, only one Cosmic-Level being may arise. But in the vast universe, there are terrifying and unique giant beasts—Star Beasts!”

“Hmm?”

Hong, Thunderclap, and others were surprised. Obviously, they had never heard of Star Beasts before.

“Star Beasts are extremely rare. Any fully grown Star Beast can reach the Cosmic-Level and easily destroy a planet.” Clarence’s eyes gleamed with excitement as he pointed at the frozen image of the mysterious creature on the screen. “This mysterious beast must be one of the Star Beasts—a Devouring-type Star Beast!”

“The Devouring-type is one of the strongest categories among Star Beasts.”

“It can swallow an entire war base. This mysterious creature must possess a unique devouring ability. In the universe, only the Star Beasts have such terrifying creatures. Therefore, this beast must be a Devouring-type Star Beast!” Clarence concluded confidently.

The conference hall fell silent for several seconds before erupting into a cacophony of voices.

“What’s the Cosmic-Level?”

“What do you mean by Stellar-Level and Cosmic-Level?”

“Star Beasts?”

“If only one Cosmic-Level being arises from countless planets, does that mean there are intelligent life forms on other planets?”

The hall was in chaos.

Clearly, the old man’s words were shocking. Indeed, due to the excavation of many ancient ruins, many Earth factions already knew some basic cosmic information. For example, Hong and Thunderclap were familiar with the data on the Muyate crystal, and some nations even knew about the Muya crystal. Hong and Thunderclap were especially eager to reach the Stellar-Level due to their sense of crisis.

Clearly, the Earth’s human elite were not completely ignorant.

But…

These revelations were too shocking to be made public. Usually, only when someone became a councilor-level warrior and joined the nation’s upper echelons would they learn these secrets. But obviously, many people in the hall today were unaware of these facts.

“Silence.” Hong spoke.

The hall immediately fell silent. All the powerful warriors around the world looked at Hong.

“What he said is correct,” Hong said in a low voice. “Reaching the councilor level is actually equivalent to the first tier of Star-Level. The Star-Level is divided into nine tiers. Above the Star-Level is indeed the Stellar-Level, and above that, the Cosmic-Level.”

“The Cosmic-Level is extremely powerful—powerful enough to easily destroy Earth.”

“I won’t say anything else.”

Hong’s voice grew colder. “I only know that since this mysterious creature is a Star Beast, this disaster will be difficult to resolve. We must unite and find a way to overcome this crisis. Clarence, send me all the information you have on Star Beasts.”

Clarence hesitated and glanced at Isadora, the HR Alliance speaker beside him. Isadora nodded slightly.

“Alright.” Clarence nodded.

“Hmm, can you tell me the approximate strength of this Star Beast? Has it reached the Cosmic-Level?” Hong asked solemnly.

If it was indeed a Cosmic-Level being!

Then there was no need to resist. Since they lacked the power to fight back, they might as well prepare an evacuation plan and a plan to preserve the human race.

“No, it can’t be Cosmic-Level.”

The bald old man shook his head. “According to the records I’ve seen, Cosmic-Level Star Beasts are at least thousands of meters in size, some even exceeding ten thousand meters. This Devouring Beast is only 180 meters long. Based on my estimate, it might be at the eighth or ninth tier of Star-Level, or even Stellar-Level.”

Hong and Thunderclap exchanged glances. At that level, humanity might still have a chance!

Luo Feng stared at the mysterious creature on the screen.

It wasn’t hard to guess. The beast kings were about the sixth tier of Star-Level. Since this mysterious creature was much stronger than the beast kings, it was likely at the eighth or ninth tier of Star-Level, perhaps even reaching Stellar-Level!

“If it’s Stellar-Level, then we’re in trouble.” Luo Feng frowned.

“Everyone, please sit down.”

The third speaker, Murhandson, called out. “Now we must all work together to figure out how to deal with this… let’s temporarily name it the Devouring Beast. How do we solve this? If we don’t kill it, the death toll will keep rising.”

In the conference hall,

Everyone sat down and began discussing. But in reality, humanity had little to offer. The most powerful single-weapon in the past—the laser cannon—had failed to leave even a scratch on the Devouring Beast’s scales at full power. What other options did humanity have?

There was only one left!

Nuclear weapons!

Nuclear weapons indeed had tremendous power, but the target had to be at the epicenter of the explosion for maximum effect. Moreover, using nuclear weapons would cause massive radiation, potentially causing the beast to mutate. Under normal circumstances, humanity would never use nuclear weapons—they would be counterproductive.

But this time… humanity had no choice. There were no more powerful cards left in their hands.

“Use nuclear weapons?”

“What yield? Fifty megatons? Or higher?”

“Do we have any confidence?”

The world’s most elite group was anxiously discussing.

“Speed!”

“As soon as the video started, how fast was the mysterious beast flying from the water to midair? What was its speed?” Someone shouted suddenly.

Soon the data came in.

“The Devouring Beast’s initial flight speed was 13,082 meters per second! Later satellite tracking records showed an even faster speed—14,899 meters per second!” The voice of an American official, transmitted through the network into the virtual conference hall.

“That fast?”

Hong and Thunderclap’s expressions changed drastically. Even their speeds were far below this level.

Luo Feng’s face also turned grim.

Currently at the third tier of Star-Level as a mentalist, even with the help of the Duntianshu, his flight speed was barely over 5,000 meters per second! And that was only because he was a mentalist with the Duntianshu. Luo Feng estimated that even Thunderclap, the martial artist, couldn’t fly faster than him in the air. Yet he was still far behind the Devouring Beast.

“Barbara, Barbara.” Luo Feng called out mentally.

“What do you want? I was sleeping!” Barbara communicated with Luo Feng mentally.

In the virtual space, artificial intelligence could enter, after all, it was originally built by AI.

Barbara’s intelligence level was far superior to the AI that built the ‘Warrior Palace’. Therefore, although Barbara had entered secretly, the Warrior Palace’s AI system hadn’t detected it at all.

“Tell me, what is that creature on the screen right now? What can be done to kill it?” Luo Feng asked urgently.

Now he could only rely on Barbara for help. Barbara’s perspective was far broader than that of Earth’s humans.

“Oh? Let me, the demon Barbara, take a look!” Barbara said proudly.

Luo Feng waited silently.

“Heavens!!!” Barbara exclaimed in shock. “What the hell? Where did you get this video? How could you get this footage?”

“What video? It’s just from Earth. This mysterious creature is now killing people on Earth.” Luo Feng replied quickly.

“On Earth?”

“You mean the ‘Golden-Horned Beast’ has appeared on Earth?” Barbara couldn’t believe it.

“Yes! It’s now in the interior of North America.” Luo Feng said.

“This, this, this is impossible! In my master’s lifespan of over 60 million years, he traveled through countless star systems and only encountered three Star Beasts, none of which had such a high bloodline!” Barbara was in disbelief. “You actually have a Golden-Horned Beast appearing on Earth!”

Luo Feng was somewhat displeased. “Barbara, explain clearly!”

“I told you before!”

“The ‘Star Beasts’ in the universe are extremely powerful. Among the bloodlines of Star Beasts, there are three levels. The strongest can grow to become ‘World Sovereigns’! That’s the strongest bloodline in the universe. I once introduced the ‘Flame Star Beast,’ which feeds on stars.”

“The creature you’re seeing now is the ‘Golden-Horned Beast,’ another top-tier Star Beast. It’s even more ferocious and famous than the Flame Star Beast!”

“When it fully matures, it will become a World Sovereign!”

“The Golden-Horned Beast and the Flame Star Beast both belong to the Devouring-type of Star Beasts. However, the Flame Star Beast is fire-elemental, while the Golden-Horned Beast is metal-elemental! Both are among the most supreme, even stronger than the strongest human bloodlines! The Golden-Horned Beast is extremely fierce and brutal, with immense attacking power!” Barbara sighed. “It’s over. It has appeared on Earth. Your Earth is doomed. There’s no hope. It’s finished.”
