Chapter 389: Holy Land Heiwu Mountain

Brolin was regarded as the most powerful among the many imperial princes. First, he was wealthy; second, he had powerful backing!

Now his backer, Hagreve, had lost influence in the Holy Land Heilong Mountain, and all the treasures Brolin had acquired in the Realm Within Realm had been given to his maternal grandfather to compensate the Sovereigns of Realms.

“Money!”

“Money can make even Realm Sovereigns bow, and without it, you can’t accomplish anything!” Brolin’s eyes flashed coldly. “The Empire’s intelligence systems and the Grand Citizen Information Database are strictly forbidden to us princes. If I had enough money, I could find someone daring enough to help me infiltrate those systems to find information about Luo Feng!”

The imperial laws were extremely strict.

Since the emperor’s lifespan was long, he always guarded against his sons. The Grand Citizen Information Database and intelligence systems of the entire empire were absolutely forbidden to the imperial princes.

However …

Laws were made by people, and enforced by people! With enough money, people could be tempted to take risks.

“Back then, when I attacked the Sanfu Mountain group, I used a laser gun to target twelve people. Eleven died, but Luo Feng survived.” Brolin muttered to himself. “Also, he exchanged treasures in the ancient castle, and he even had a space ring capable of holding a spaceship. Surviving a C2 laser gun shot means he must have many treasures!”

Brolin wanted money, but he looked down upon small sums. Naturally, he thought of Luo Feng. Judging from the surface alone, Luo Feng already had many treasures.

Even a single treasure from the Realm Within Realm would be worth an astronomical price.

“There’s no choice but to do this,” Brolin gritted his teeth.

Dressed in plain clothes, Brolin left his palace.

The imperial palace on the capital planet was a completely floating city. Within the city stood a series of continuous palaces, all heavily guarded.

“It’s Prince Brolin.”

The guards quickly stepped aside, allowing Brolin to walk deep into the palace until he reached a vast courtyard. At the edge of the courtyard stood seemingly ordinary stone tablets. Brolin directly approached one tablet—its surface rippled, and Brolin’s entire body entered the tablet.

Atop a towering mountain reaching the clouds, water-like ripples shimmered, and a figure emerged.

“Prince Brolin, what brings you to the Holy Land?”

A deep voice rang out, and a chilling aura spread. A lean man with wings on his back instantly appeared on the mountain peak, his glowing green eyes staring at Brolin. Brolin’s heart shuddered as he quickly replied, “I have something I wish to discuss with my grandfather.”

“Let him come.”

A voice echoed across the mountain, spanning hundreds of thousands of miles.

The winged man glanced at Brolin and coldly said, “Remember, go directly to Lord Hagreve. No wandering elsewhere.”

“Yes!” Brolin replied respectfully.

The Holy Land Heilong Mountain was the greatest pillar behind the imperial family.

The founding emperor of the empire, who was now the Divine Ruler of the Holy Land Heilong Mountain, had once united cosmic space and his inner world into one, forming the magnificent and vast Divine Realm—Heilong Mountain.

“The Divine Realm.”

Brolin flew out from the mountain, gazing at the boundless expanse before him. Before him stretched an endless sea, and above it hung a sun—a true star captured by an immortal being from outside and placed within the Divine Realm.

Creating heaven and earth, seizing stars.

That was the power of immortals!

“The Holy Land is countless times larger than the capital planet outside,” Brolin thought as he flew, looking up at the star in the sky. “Even a star can be brought in. Immortals are truly incredible. If one day I could become an immortal …” He shook his head with a bitter smile.

Immortality seemed too distant.

There were fewer than a hundred Sovereigns of Realms in the entire Heilong Mountain Star Region, and even among these nearly one hundred Sovereigns, probability suggested they would all eventually die of old age. Breaking through to immortality was extremely difficult.

The lifespan of a Sovereign of Realms was limited.

Immortality was the eternal existence.

“Hmph!” Brolin focused his mind, summoning his spaceship from his space ring.

Whoosh!

The spaceship soared through the vast Divine Realm, swiftly heading toward his grandfather’s residence. The ship moved swiftly, flying nearly a million kilometers before reaching the most magnificent mountain range in the entire Divine Realm—a colossal black mountain floating above the ocean, towering over one hundred thousand kilometers high.

A floating mountain over one hundred thousand kilometers high!

A mountain far larger than Earth!

The entire mountain was pitch black, resembling a giant black dragon with wings. This mountain… was the legendary Heilong Mountain.

“Heilong Mountain.” Although Brolin had visited several times, he still felt awe.

Approaching Heilong Mountain, the peak and the end of the mountain were invisible to the naked eye.

“Come to me.” A voice echoed in Brolin’s ears.

“Yes.”

Brolin flew his spaceship to Heilong Mountain, immediately retracting it and flying toward a luxurious palace. At the cliff’s edge in front of the palace stood a bald, eagle-nosed old man, whose presence seemed to lower the surrounding temperature. He was Hagreve, one of the top three strongest Sovereigns of the Holy Land Heilong Mountain!

“Grandfather.” Brolin rushed over.

“Hmm.” Hagreve looked at Brolin, a rare smile briefly appearing. “Abu, why did you come to me?”

“Grandfather, I’ve been having a hard time lately.” Brolin helplessly frowned.

“I understand.” Seeing his grandson like this, Hagreve felt some guilt. During the Realm Within Realm mission, his grandson had performed well, but due to the inheritance crystal ball, things turned out as they did. Moreover, all the treasures his grandson had obtained ended up in Hagreve’s hands.

“Grandfather, in the capital, nothing can be done without money.” Brolin said helplessly. “Now I know there’s a Stellar-Level human in the Realm Within Realm who has many treasures. However, I cannot use the Empire’s intelligence system or the Grand Citizen Information Database to investigate him. Knowing there are treasures but unable to obtain them is frustrating.”

“Oh?” Hagreve’s eyes lit up. “Are you sure?”

“I’m very sure.”

Brolin nodded quickly. “First, I’m sure he exchanged treasures in the ancient castle. Second, he has a space ring capable of holding a spaceship. Third, he survived a C2 laser gun shot.”

“What’s his name? What information do you have?” Hagreve pressed urgently.

The Realm Within Realm mission had nearly bankrupted Hagreve!

An ordinary Realm Sovereign might have assets of ten primordial units, but Hagreve now couldn’t even muster one.

“His name is Luo Feng. In the Realm Within Realm, he entered the allied forces under Mingyu of Sanfu Mountain.” Brolin explained. “But I can’t investigate him. As a prince, I don’t have much authority.”

“I will investigate.” Hagreve said directly.

At the same time, a fragment of Hagreve’s consciousness entered the virtual cosmic network, issuing commands.

Princes had little power.

But Hagreve, though fallen from grace, was still one of the top three strongest Realm Sovereigns in the Holy Land Heilong Mountain. He could not only access the Empire’s Grand Citizen Information Database but also use the special intelligence system of the Holy Land Heilong Mountain to investigate. Within just a few minutes, Hagreve received the results.

“Hmm?” Hagreve slightly furrowed his brows.

“Did you find anything?” Brolin looked hopeful.

“Yes, I found something.” Hagreve frowned. “Luo Feng is indeed under Mingyu. After the Realm Within Realm incident, he was granted dominion over one hundred planets by Mingyu. Mingyu, in turn, obtained a fifth-grade primal weapon, the ‘Zhan Kong Dao,’ which he then sold to a general of Sanfu Mountain. Presumably, that ‘Zhan Kong Dao’ is the treasure Luo Feng acquired.”

“Luo Feng originally had one planet under his command, named Earth.”

“Reaching Earth is complicated; it requires passing through a wormhole, followed by a three-year flight.”

“The Holy Land’s intelligence organization learned from the Boterey family … the Boterey family once dispatched a team that spent three years traveling to Earth. However, on Earth, there was a ninth-stage Cosmic-Level expert who stopped the Boterey team and declared the planet under Sanfu Mountain’s territory.”

Brolin was stunned, hurriedly exclaiming, “Grandfather—”

“It’s complicated,” Hagreve shook his head. “First, we don’t know if Luo Feng is on Earth. Second, reaching Earth takes too long. Third, there’s at least a ninth-stage Cosmic-Level expert on Earth. To send someone, we’d need at least a Domain Lord. Yet I only have three Domain Lords under my command. Fourth, the treasure Luo Feng obtained, the ‘Zhan Kong Dao,’ has already been given away. Fifth and most importantly, it’s Sanfu Mountain’s territory.”

Sanfu Mountain was the top of the four major organizations. The Holy Land Heilong Mountain was unwilling to provoke conflict with Sanfu Mountain lightly.

“For now, let’s drop this matter. I’ll have the Holy Land intelligence system focus on investigating Luo Feng,” Hagreve said solemnly. “Recently, I’m also busy cultivating a group of disciples.”

“I understand.” Brolin knew it was impossible.

“Grandfather, you said cultivating disciples?” Brolin was surprised. A peak Realm Sovereign would at most occasionally guide a disciple. ‘Cultivating disciples earnestly’ was something he had never heard his grandfather mention before.

“This is a task assigned by the Holy Land,” Hagreve sighed. “Now, in the vast universe, many cosmic nations, numerous Divine Realms, and various organizations are all seriously training their disciples. Even lone experts are diligently cultivating their apprentices, after all, time is limited.”

“What?” Brolin became even more puzzled.

“The two ultimate confrontations…” Hagreve reminded him.

“Ahh!”

Brolin’s eyes widened. “Grandfather, you mean—” His breath quickened.

“Is it the Genius Battle or the Strongest Battle?” Brolin quickly asked.

“The Genius Battle,” Hagreve replied.

Brolin’s heart raced.

In the vast universe, survival of the fittest reigned. Among the many species in the cosmos, humanity was one of the top races! However, although currently at the peak, it didn’t mean they would always remain so. Therefore, humanity also made every effort to cultivate elites.

In the human cosmos, there were two grand selection battles!

One was the ‘Cosmic Human—Ultimate Genius’ selection battle, and the other was the ‘Cosmic Human—Ultimate Strongest’ selection battle.

The Ultimate Genius selection battle was open to all Stellar-Level humans across the many cosmic nations of humanity! Any Stellar-Level human could participate!

The Ultimate Strongest battle was open to all Cosmic-Level human experts across humanity’s cosmic nations. Any Cosmic-Level human could participate in the selection!

“All the countless Stellar-Level humans across the billions of galaxies in the cosmic nations will engage in battle under ‘absolutely fair conditions.’ Those who rise to the top are the ultimate geniuses across countless galaxies!” Hagreve sighed. “At the Stellar-Level, one can already see a person’s talent and potential! Conducting selections across all cosmic nations… I wonder, can the top genius of our Heilong Mountain Star Region even rank within the top one million in the cosmos?”
