Chapter 177: Blockade (9)

Mu Lin’s target was another submarine. He had already made his decision—he would not let these warships escape this time. Since the conflict with the Y country’s government had escalated to a point of no return, it had become a life-or-death struggle between both sides.

Mu Lin initially miscalculated his landing spot, but fortunately, he activated his full spiritual energy, preventing himself from getting soaked. Correcting himself, Mu Lin silently positioned himself on the submarine. Dodging the sentry on the bridge, he searched quietly for a spot to infiltrate inside.

This submarine had surfaced because its military mission was simple and already completed, allowing Mu Lin to easily reach it. If these two nuclear submarines had been submerged, it would have been impossible for Mu Lin to approach so effortlessly—he would have had to expend significantly more effort.

On this submarine, identical to the previous one, Mu Lin quickly located the computer control room. He planned to use the same method as before. However, due to his initial miscalculation, he had wasted some time, so he needed to hurry. The self-initiated attack he had set on the first submarine was set for ten minutes, and time was running short.

Extending his spiritual senses as a perimeter alert, Mu Lin focused intently on operating the system. With prior experience, this time he was much more skilled and quickly neared completion.

Suddenly, several figures entered Mu Lin’s spiritual perception area, rushing directly toward the computer room where he was. Mu Lin extended his spiritual energy to block them while continuing to work feverishly.

The intruders soon broke through Mu Lin’s spiritual barrier, which surprised him. “Hehe! After so long, I’ve finally encountered some decent masters!” Mu Lin muttered to himself, his fingers flying over the keyboard.

With a clap of his hands, he finished. Rising, he stepped out of the computer room to face the approaching figures.

Seeing Mu Lin emerge, the group rushing toward the computer room halted and faced him.

“Who are you? Why are you on our Y country’s warship? What do you want?” asked a burly man with a full beard leading the group.

“Don’t you know who I am? I am the owner of the yacht you Y country sank without cause. Why would I come aboard your ship? Should I say I’m here for sightseeing?” Mu Lin replied with a mocking smile.

He knew they were stalling for time, waiting for reinforcements. However, this suited Mu Lin just fine, as he had set the attack countdown for this submarine to three minutes later. When the moment arrived, the indiscriminate attacks from both submarines would catch them off guard, causing chaos.

“Dr. Daniel Mu! Is that you?” the man feigned uncertainty.

“Hehe, what do you think?” Mu Lin pretended to be clueless. Observing them more closely, he noticed their expressions had shifted to excitement. Then he realized they were all wearing radio transceivers—his conversation with them was being transmitted, and more reinforcements were likely on their way.

Once they confirmed Mu Lin’s identity, their expressions changed from excitement to alertness. They drew closer together, clearly preparing for an attack from Mu Lin.

At that moment, in the distance, the frigates suddenly emitted several dazzling flashes. Looking through the submarine’s porthole, it seemed like fireworks were lighting up the sky, followed by several deafening explosions that reverberated through the submarine. The shockwaves caused the submarine to shake violently.

The group’s expressions changed drastically. Though still on guard against Mu Lin, they couldn’t help but ask what was happening outside.

Before they could finish, Mu Lin’s submarine suddenly roared with noise, followed by violent shaking. Mu Lin knew the six missile launchers on the submarine had fired.

Moments later, the two frigates near Mu Lin’s submarine also erupted in brilliant flashes of fire. The intensity of the light, so close, forced everyone to instinctively shut their eyes.

Then came the thunderous explosions, the shockwaves passing through the thick hull, shaking the submarine even more violently. The waves from the explosions caused the submarine to sway even more intensely.

Immediately afterward, piercing alarms blared throughout the submarine. The crew scrambled to their stations. The expressions of the men facing Mu Lin darkened with each passing moment. Finally, the bearded leader couldn’t contain himself any longer and began cursing furiously, swinging his sword toward Mu Lin.

“You damned, despicable yellow pig! This is all your doing! Our four frigates were attacked by the submarine and are now severely damaged, with countless casualties aboard. This is all your doing, you pig!”

Under these circumstances, Mu Lin remained surprisingly calm, watching their attacks with interest. The bearded man’s great sword seemed to carry some power, but he hadn’t yet mastered it fully, failing to unleash its full potential.

Mu Lin sent out a stream of spiritual energy to block the attack, but the man swung his sword, effortlessly severing the energy stream and cutting off Mu Lin’s connection to it. Then, the others quickly launched fireballs, water swords, wind blades, and ice daggers toward Mu Lin.

Caught off guard, Mu Lin was shocked. He surged his spiritual energy and quickly dispatched more streams to entangle his attackers while simultaneously unleashing his electric ability to strike back.

One of the attackers, resembling a priest, quickly pulled out a cross. As he muttered incantations, Mu Lin’s electric net halted just inches above their heads, sparks flying with apparent strength but failing to touch them.
