Chapter 783: Where’s the Touching Scene We Promised?

Xuanjian Pavilion, currently in the Xuanhuang World, had indeed become a force no one dared provoke.

During these past five years, there had been some short-sighted sects who, seeing Xuanjian Pavilion was a female-dominated sect, thought it might be an easy target. But later, those sects mysteriously vanished, as if they had never existed at all.

Later, someone discovered the sect leaders and elders from those missing sects in a mine, all covered in dust, laboring away.

It turned out they had been captured and brought there as forced labor.

From that point on, everyone understood: Xuanjian Pavilion was no ordinary sect.

And for those who knew the truth, it was obvious just how extraordinary it was.

The current sect leader, Xuan Yunxian, was none other than Lin Fan’s wife. And who was Lin Fan? He was the most terrifying figure in all of Xuanhuang World.

His disciples were all terrifyingly powerful, and both the Holy Sect and Jiuxiao Sect had unusually close ties with him.

Anyone wishing to challenge Xuanjian Pavilion had better think twice whether they had the strength to do so.

Now, Xuanjian Pavilion was flourishing, with tens of thousands of disciples—it had become a major sect in its own right.

Suddenly, the space above trembled.

A group of figures emerged from the void.

“Who is that?”

The guarding disciples of Xuanjian Pavilion narrowed their eyes, instantly on high alert. Not even bothering to announce their arrival—had enemies come to attack?

Nowadays, Xuanjian Pavilion was no longer what it once was. Every disciple took immense pride in their sect.

Lin Fan stood there calmly with his group. His heart was pounding with excitement—he was finally about to see his wife again.

They had been apart for five long years. Leaving her alone all this time, he felt a pang of guilt.

Just then, the guarding disciples of Xuanjian Pavilion sounded the alarm.

They noticed the large number of intruders, all emanating powerful auras.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

In an instant, countless disciples rushed in from all directions.

Leading them was a woman holding a longsword, graceful and elegant. She was every bit as formidable as her own disciples.

“Senior apprentice sister!”

“Senior apprentice sister!”

The disciples of Xuanjian Pavilion greeted her respectfully.

“Who are you people? Why have you come to Xuanjian Pavilion?” The woman, barely past her twentieth year, wore a wary expression.

“Apprentice Senior Sister Qianying, no need to be alarmed,” said Zhang Erdog, stepping forward.

“Senior Brother Erdog,” Qianying relaxed slightly at the sight of him. “What brings you here this time?”

Erdog had visited Xuanjian Pavilion several times before, each time bringing support and strength to the sect. Therefore, many of the disciples were familiar with him.

“Is Yunxian here?” Lin Fan spoke up at this moment.

Upon hearing this, Qianying’s expression turned cold. “Who do you think you are? How dare you speak the sect leader’s name so casually—”

But before she could finish, Qianying suddenly found her mouth covered by Zhang Erdog’s hand.

“Leader, this apprentice sister Qianying is the direct disciple of Master Yunxian. She doesn’t know you yet,” Zhang Erdog explained.

Qianying had been slightly angered by Erdog’s sudden gesture, but her expression abruptly froze as her eyes locked onto Lin Fan.

As the favored disciple of Xuan Yunxian, she naturally knew that her master already had a husband. Ever since he left, she had often seen her master gazing at old mementos, lost in thought for entire days.

“Oh, so she’s Yunxian’s direct disciple. Not bad,” Lin Fan remarked, somewhat surprised.

“You… you are… Leader Lin?” Qianying asked in shock.

Lin Fan nodded slightly, a faint smile playing on his lips.

“Master! Master!” In a flash, Qianying transformed into a streak of light, rushing excitedly toward the inner courtyard.

Watching the streak of light in the distance, Lin Fan smiled, his gaze now filled with anticipation.

According to usual, the first to appear should have been his adopted son. Where could he be now?

The disciples of Xuanjian Pavilion whispered among themselves, watching Lin Fan curiously.

“Who is this person? Why does he call the sect leader so familiarly?”

“I don’t know either. Maybe we should ask the senior sisters.”

The disciples unfamiliar with Lin Fan’s identity quietly turned to their seniors for answers.

But they noticed that the seniors were visibly excited.

“Senior sister, who is he?”

The excited seniors seemed to have a thousand words to say.

“He’s the strongest in Xuanhuang World, the sect leader’s husband. Who would have thought he’d return? Finally, she won’t have to look at old mementos and miss him so much.”

“Ah! The sect leader’s husband…”

In the inner courtyard.

“Master! Master!” Qianying moved swiftly, as if pouring all her strength into this moment.

“Ying’er, why are you in such a panic?”

Inside the pavilion, a graceful figure sat, exuding beauty and elegance in every movement.

“Master, he’s back…” Qianying stammered in excitement, barely able to form words.

“Who’s back? Speak properly. You’re going to be the sect leader one day—how can you act so flustered?” Xuan Yunxian had rarely seen her apprentice this excited, and curiosity stirred within her.

“Lin… Lin…”

In an instant, Xuan Yunxian’s body trembled slightly. She slowly lifted her delicate face, gazing into the distance. Suddenly, a breeze blew through the pavilion—and she was gone.

“Fan…”

“Huh? Master, where did you go?” Qianying had barely finished speaking when she realized her master had already vanished.

Lin Fan stood there, a gentle smile on his lips. He had already sensed that familiar aura.

A breeze blew.

Suddenly, a figure appeared before Lin Fan.

The two gazed into each other’s eyes, and the entire world seemed to freeze.

“A touching moment is about to happen,” Zhiao murmured, wiping a corner of her eye.

Though no words were spoken between the master and mistress, the depth of their feelings was evident in their eyes.

The disciples of Xuanjian Pavilion held their breath, sensing the warmth in the air.

They knew that after five years apart, there was much to say.

Though they themselves had never experienced such feelings, they couldn’t help but envy this scene.

Looking at Lin Fan, Xuan Yunxian’s eyes filled with emotion. The face she had longed for, the person she had missed for five years, now stood before her, and her eyes turned red with tears.

She had so much to say, but for a moment, she couldn’t find the words.

“Husband…”

That single word carried all her longing. Five years of yearning were poured into this single call of “husband.”

Lin Fan took one step forward.

The hearts of all the surrounding disciples seemed to tremble with that single step.

They knew: a touching moment was about to unfold.

“Wife!”

Lin Fan shouted joyfully. In one swift motion, he hoisted Xuan Yunxian over his shoulder and dashed toward the inner courtyard.

“Ah! Husband, put me down! The disciples are watching!”

“So what? Let them watch. We’ll find a secret place to talk,” Lin Fan laughed heartily.

Blushing slightly, Xuan Yunxian hung over Lin Fan’s shoulder.

“Where’s the touching moment we were promised?”

At that moment, everyone stood there in stunned silence, completely taken aback by what had just unfolded.
