Chapter 206: A Good Show

Outside the gate of an abandoned factory on the outskirts of the city, a middle-aged man stood with his hands behind his back, exuding an unnatural aura of strength. Behind him, aside from two men who appeared exceptionally fierce, the rest were dressed like typical street thugs.

“Brother Lun, the brothers have been waiting here for quite a while. The person you mentioned still hasn’t shown up. Why don’t you let us have a little fun with that pretty girl?”

Looking at the middle-aged man who was putting on an air of superiority, a scar-faced thug among the group angrily crushed his cigarette butt on the ground and stood up, shouting at the man.

“I already said, no one is allowed to touch that woman. If anything happens to her, I’ll make you regret ever being born into this world. Our target is that man, not the woman!”

The man known as Brother Lun had once been a significant figure in the underworld. Back then, no one would have dared to not know who he was. But in recent years, few had heard news of him. Many speculated whether he had retired from the underworld or had been taken under the wing of some powerful faction. However, these thugs were completely unaware of these details.

“I call you Brother Lun out of respect, but who the hell do you think you are putting on such an act? Today, I’m going to have my way with that woman whether you like it or not. What are you going to do about it?!”

Unable to tolerate the middle-aged man’s serious demeanor any longer, the scar-faced thug waved his hand and pretended to walk into the factory. In his opinion, this man was no different from himself—just someone who took money to solve other people’s problems. So why should he take orders from him?

“If you take another half-step forward, I’ll show you exactly what I can do to you!”

The middle-aged man’s lips curled into a cold smile. Back when he was dominating the Beijing underworld, this young punk hadn’t even been a blip on the radar. Now the kid dared to show off in front of him? He didn’t even know how many eyes the mythical horse-riding god really had.

“You dare threaten me? Do you think I’m some scaredy-cat? Brothers, follow me inside! Haven’t you all been going crazy wanting that girl? Today, your big brother is gonna take you in for a little fun!”

Although feeling the pressure of the middle-aged man’s aura, the scar-faced thug merely swallowed hard and dismissed the threat as idle noise. He didn’t think this man could do much to him. After all, his men outnumbered the middle-aged man’s by far.

But soon he would learn an important lesson—that strength doesn’t always correlate with numbers. As soon as he stepped forward, a chill spread through his arm, followed by an unbearable pain coursing through his entire body.

Blood streamed down his arm. The scar-faced man’s mouth opened wide, sweat instantly drenching his forehead. He hadn’t even seen the man move, yet his right arm was now barely connected by a few strands of sinew and bone!

“I warned you—don’t get any funny ideas. This time it was your arm, next time it won’t be so simple…”

The sharp dagger hadn’t touched a drop of blood. The middle-aged man looked at the blade like a father gazing at his child, carefully wiping it clean. The smirk on his lips grew even more sinister.

The others stared at the scar-faced man’s agonized expression, unsure of what to do next. The sheer speed of the middle-aged man’s attack had shocked them. Was this guy even human?

The atmosphere suddenly turned eerie. A group that had been getting along peacefully moments ago had now turned into bitter enemies. Of course, this conflict was one-sided. The middle-aged man’s side, with only three men, had clearly taken control.

“It seems I haven’t missed the show. I wonder if my unexpected arrival has disturbed you all…”

Just as everyone was lost in their own thoughts, a cold and amused voice suddenly echoed from the air. The previously relaxed expression on the middle-aged man’s face immediately tensed. His eyebrows knitted tightly together as his gaze shifted toward a dark corner.

Xiao Yufan slowly stepped out of the shadows, looking at the group in front of the factory gate. A cruel smile crept across his lips. He hadn’t expected such a fortunate coincidence—walking into such an entertaining scene.

“The chairman of Huisheng Enterprise, a scion of the Situ family. So you also enjoy playing dirty tricks…”

The middle-aged man sensed a dangerous aura emanating from Xiao Yufan. His dagger silently slid into his palm, ready for any sudden attack. If Xiao Yufan dared to come here alone, it was either arrogance or he truly had the strength to back it up.

At the sight of Xiao Yufan, the thugs’ eyes lit up. If they could wrest something valuable from the hands of someone at the helm of Huisheng Enterprise, it would be enough for them to enjoy life for years. How could they not be tempted?

“Where’s the money we asked for? Hand it over quickly, or you won’t be taking that woman with you…”

“How annoying. Do you really think you have the right to speak here?” Xiao Yufan’s eyes turned icy cold. Before the thug could react, Xiao Yufan had already moved. His fists slammed mercilessly into the man’s chest.

The thug flew backward a great distance. Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth, and his eyes widened in terror. He felt as though his internal organs had been shattered, the pain nearly causing him to suffocate.

“He’s brutal!” Everyone inhaled sharply. Xiao Yufan’s seemingly effortless punch had sent a man flying. This seemed even more terrifying than the middle-aged man’s earlier move.

“Do you really think you can just walk in here and take the woman away barehanded? Don’t you think you’re being too arrogant? Want me to make that woman disappear right now?”

The sense of danger the middle-aged man felt from Xiao Yufan grew stronger. He instinctively took a couple of steps back, hoping to increase the distance between them. However, thinking of Qin Menglu still in their hands, he felt slightly reassured.

“You’re after more than just money. Who exactly sent you? Why go through all this trouble just to come after me?”

Xiao Yufan had no interest in wasting words. If it weren’t for his concern for Menglu, these people wouldn’t even be worthy of his attention. Moreover, he wanted to know who had sent them. But before he could finish speaking, the two men beside the middle-aged man had already launched their attack. Although they considered themselves strong, Xiao Yufan never underestimated his opponents. As soon as they moved, he sensed their intentions.

“Not bad speed, but your explosive power is still lacking…”

With a cold snort, Xiao Yufan’s arm collided directly with the two attackers’ bodies, instantly numbing his arm. Clearly, these two were no ordinary men.

A year ago, facing these two individuals with military backgrounds, he might have felt some strain. But now, even elite special forces members would be nothing before him. These two were barely stronger than average men.
