Chapter 989: Home

Azure Dragon stayed quietly in Celestial Dragon’s room the entire night. After confirming that nothing had stirred, he activated a spatial jump and left the room.

As he passed by the “Heaven Class” room, he glanced again at the nine people inside. They were just like last night, surrounding the round table, not even changing their sitting postures.

In the center of the table sat an exquisite clock.

The clock was staring at a pale, blood-drained human head.

He had already given these “Heaven Class” members a chance throughout the night. He had stayed in the “Train Head” the entire time. If these “Heaven Class” members still chose to initiate the “Heaven Moment,” he would have no choice but to feign ignorance and later express regret.

This was not only giving himself a chance, giving Celestial Dragon a chance, but also giving all these “Heaven Class” members a chance.

Yet these “Heaven Class” members seemed to be stunned by the sight of Celestial Pig’s severed head, none daring to make a move.

“Good morning, nine of you.” Azure Dragon smiled.

The nine individuals silently stared at Azure Dragon without uttering a word.

“Oh… sorry.” Azure Dragon shifted his gaze to the head on the table. “Should I say ‘ten’?”

“Can we move freely now?” Celestial Bull spoke. “The ‘ants’ have been still all night. I have a very bad feeling. If we don’t calm them down soon, something might happen…”

“What’s the big deal?” Azure Dragon retorted. “Are those ghosts addicted to work? Out of mercy, I gave them a day off. Are they planning a rebellion?”

Celestial Bull sighed and said, “I know you can’t empathize with their thoughts. But those ‘ants’ can’t hear, see, or speak—they can only think. Throughout the entire night, they will generate countless anxious thoughts. Perhaps you can’t even imagine how, for those who have nothing, only the routine of work at fixed times can bring them some peace.”

“How ridiculous…” Azure Dragon grinned. “Little Bull… have you noticed that humans were always meant to be livestock?”

Celestial Bull frowned after hearing that, then denied, “I don’t think so.”

“Do you know what a ‘pig’ is?” Azure Dragon pointed at the severed head on the table. “What’s the difference between humans and ‘pigs’?”

Celestial Bull didn’t know where Azure Dragon was going with this, his gaze growing colder.

“They are fierce animals capable of freely running and hunting in the forest. But give them a mud pit, surround it with fences, and throw in some rotten leftovers that would disgust us, and they will accept this way of life,” Azure Dragon grinned widely. “The pigs who lead the rebellion will be slaughtered immediately, leaving only those content with the status quo. They willingly live their entire lives in filth, stinking and waiting to die, yet finding joy in it.”

“You’re not talking about ‘pigs’ or ‘humans,’ but everyone trapped here,” Celestial Bull replied.

“Aren’t all those called ‘humans’ like that?” Azure Dragon laughed. “Humans are best suited for surviving in tight spaces. No matter how much you compress their living space, they will only try to retreat further and self-soothe. It’s an automatic process that saves me so much trouble.”

“What…” Celestial Bull frowned. “Don’t talk nonsense. Humans aren’t like that.”

“Not like that? Little Bull, tell me, those ‘ants’ are already in such a miserable state. After a night of ‘rest,’ what do you think they’re thinking about?”

“This…”

“You don’t want to say it? I will.” Azure Dragon leaned close to Celestial Bull’s face. “The only thoughts swirling in their minds would be ‘Am I useless now?’ or ‘Will I be erased?’ Hahahaha! This is the best joke I’ve thought of today!”

Everyone else remained deathly silent, aside from Azure Dragon’s laughter.

“Laugh! Why won’t you laugh?!”

As Azure Dragon’s loud laughter echoed in the room, the other “Heaven Class” members looked visibly displeased. However, after a moment, both Celestial Rat and Celestial Tiger wore the same smile as Azure Dragon.

“Azure Dragon…” Celestial Bull interrupted. “You shouldn’t mock them like this. The fact that they can endure all this proves they have attachments—they want to live.”

“Attachments…” Azure Dragon paused briefly, then widened his eyes, laughing even more maniacally. “Attachments mean what exactly?”

“It’s ‘home,'” Celestial Bull replied. “Because of the word ‘home,’ many willingly endure. They can endure all this because they wish to return ‘home’ one day.”

“Hahahahaha! ‘Home’! How interesting!” Azure Dragon laughed so hard he bent over, clutching his stomach and shouting wildly.

A moment later, he lifted his head and took another step forward. His terrifying aura forced Celestial Bull to take a step back. “Little Bull, do you know why people gave domesticated pigs a new name to distinguish them from wild boars? Tell me what it is?”

“It’s…” Celestial Bull hesitated.

“It’s ‘domestic pigs,'” Azure Dragon roared with laughter. “Haha! Little Bull, that’s what ‘home’ means—my second joke today! Hahahahaha! This word traps them generation after generation, never escaping the cycle, yet you call it ‘attachments’?”

Celestial Bull felt every word Azure Dragon spoke was like a knife cutting into her heart. She wanted to argue back but couldn’t find the angle.

A completely insane person, with overwhelming power, spreading utterly insane ideas. Anyone who listened for a few sentences would feel their beliefs crumbling endlessly.

Azure Dragon kept laughing wildly. Every time he opened his mouth, his voice sounded like a mix of male and female, as if a group of people were laughing together.

Extremely lively yet eerily unsettling.

“Little Bull… isn’t this joke funny either…?” Azure Dragon stopped laughing, saying with a hint of concern. “Or maybe you can tell me again, how do you write the word ‘home’?”

Celestial Bull paused, then answered, “A roof… then a… a…”

“A ‘pig,'” Azure Dragon added. “I don’t need to teach you, right? In ancient times, ‘shi’ meant ‘pig.’ Under a roof, there’s a ‘pig.’ Isn’t this word… so interesting?”

With just a few sentences, Celestial Bull’s eyes looked as if they had already died.

She knew Azure Dragon was wrong, but where exactly?

She wished someone could stand up and argue against Azure Dragon… but the people here either had accepted their fate or gone completely mad.

“Finished…?” Celestial Bull asked in a low voice. “If you’re done, let me go. No matter how many reasons you have… ‘managing the ants’ is my responsibility. If something happens, I can’t take the blame.”

“What a boring and rigid woman,” Azure Dragon sighed. “Then go quickly. Go see your beloved little ones.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the entire room suddenly trembled slightly, as if experiencing a minor earthquake.

Everyone looked puzzled. The next second, a terrifying red light seeped through the door.
