Chapter 431: A Fart That Shocked the World

In the eastern continent of Dongling, within a secluded village on its outskirts, life was peaceful and undisturbed by wars or persecution.

“Boom…”

Suddenly, in the far distance of the village, a rift in the void roared and exploded open, revealing a terrifying fissure hundreds of feet tall that tore through the sky above the tranquil village.

From the rift, black mist churned violently, as if countless demons were about to emerge.

The simple villagers paused their daily tasks, astonished by the sight before them. They had no idea what was happening.

“Roar…”

Fearsome growls echoed from within the rift, sending chills down the villagers’ spines. Children ran to hide behind their elders, fear evident on every face.

“Finally, we can escape…”

Suddenly, a group of towering, monstrous beasts surged forth from the rift. Their bodies engulfed in pitch-black flames, they radiated terrifying power as they charged into the village.

“Ahhh! The monsters are here!”

“Run!”

“Help!”

The villagers fled in terror, but to the beasts, they were like fish on a chopping block, helpless and ripe for slaughter.

“Hahaha… Humans really do taste good,” one particularly grotesque beast laughed, its razor-sharp claws piercing through a human’s skull like a kebab before swallowing him whole.

The villagers were driven into a corner, surrounded by hideous beasts whose glowing green eyes gleamed with malice.

“These humans are all mine,” the monstrous beast snarled, opening its terrifying jaws wide, ready to devour them all in one bite.

“Bang!”

At that moment, a giant hand ablaze with crimson flames suddenly slammed down onto the beast’s head, splattering blood and gore everywhere. The once-fearsome beast was instantly killed.

“Whoever eats humans shall die,” a tall, humanoid beast roared with overwhelming might.

If Lin Fan were here, he would immediately recognize this figure as the Flame Lord, a fusion of human and beast.

The other beasts trembled in fear under the Flame Lord’s terrifying presence, too afraid to resist.

The Flame Lord gazed across the land and sensed a familiar aura in the distance. “Follow me,” he commanded.

“Boom… Boom…”

The ground trembled as a vast army of beasts followed the Flame Lord into the horizon.

Across Dongling, similar rifts tore open the skies in various locations.

However, not all places were as fortunate as that small village.

Wherever the beasts passed, nothing remained alive. Countless humans were devoured, their deaths gruesome and horrifying.

The Dasheng Empire, densely populated and one of the stronger kingdoms in Dongling, was no exception.

At that moment, three massive rifts suddenly appeared outside the imperial city.

Everyone was stunned into silence.

Fearsome roars echoed from the rifts.

Inside a small inn within the empire, a young man watched the chaos unfold, scratching his head in confusion. In an instant, he leapt onto the city walls, gazing into the distance with a bewildered expression.

“So many powerful beasts… Could this be the end of the world?”

“There’s no way we can fight them head-on. I can’t let them destroy this place either. The wind is just right… I guess I’ll have to use *that* move.”

As generals of the Dasheng Empire shouted at the young man to get down from the walls, he ignored them completely.

In front of the stunned crowd, the young man turned around, stuck his butt out, and warned, “Everyone, step back! Don’t want to get caught in the crossfire!”

“Puuu…”

In an instant, a deafening explosion rang out, shaking the heavens. A massive yellow gas erupted from the young man’s backside, spreading across the sky and engulfing everything.

“Job done,” the young man said proudly, clapping his hands together in satisfaction.

Everyone stared in disbelief at the sight before them—this massive horde of terrifying beasts had been wiped out by a single fart.

What kind of fart was that, so powerful?

Unbothered by the astonished gazes, the young man looked into the distance. “Lin, looks like I need to find you. Something big is happening.”

Over the past year or so, Wuxie Yao had changed dramatically.

Though still cowardly and lazy, his strength had skyrocketed, and he had finally mastered control over his unique body.

The “Curse of Misfortune,” once a deadly burden, was now becoming a true asset in Wuxie Yao’s hands.

At the Holy Sect.

Lin Fan was deeply troubled. The Beast Spirit World had truly gone to extremes, appearing en masse without giving anyone a chance to intervene.

“Look over there,” the Sect Leader Yan suddenly exclaimed, pointing into the distance.

Not far from the Holy Sect, a massive rift hundreds of feet tall tore open the sky.

Lin Fan sensed a terrifying aura from within the rift—one that felt disturbingly familiar.

Just as he had feared.

“Master, let the disciples hide first. This battle is beyond their capabilities,” Lin Fan said gravely.

The beasts were countless, like an endless ocean, and naturally far stronger than humans. Those without sufficient power stood no chance against them.

“Alright, immediately send all disciples into the hidden chambers,” Master Yan ordered without hesitation.

“Let’s go see what’s going on,” Lin Fan said.

“Alright.”

Lin Fan and the others rushed toward the rift. Upon arrival, they were stunned by the sight.

A sea of beasts poured from the rift, trampling the land, leaving nothing alive in their wake.

“These beasts are vastly different from our local ones. They’re much stronger,” Lin Fan frowned with concern.

If these beasts were only attacking the Holy Sect, it wouldn’t be too bad. But if they spread elsewhere, the devastation would be catastrophic.

“This is a disaster for Dongling,” a voice said as space trembled, and Ye Han emerged.

“Master Ye, how is Cangling?” Lin Fan asked.

“I just checked. Cangling is safe,” Ye Han replied gravely, shocked at how much had changed in just a few months apart.

“That’s a relief,” Lin Fan sighed. If both continents were in trouble, there would be no hope left.

“Yao City.”

The artifact had been completed, but Lin Fan hadn’t tested it yet. This horde of beasts would serve as the perfect test.

“What is that?” Ye Han was taken aback as she saw “Yao City” appear.

“A little trinket I made,” Lin Fan said casually before his expression hardened. “Seal them!”

“Boom!”

Yao City expanded rapidly, blotting out the sky, releasing boundless demonic energy as it crashed down upon the earth.

“Ding! Congratulations on defeating a minor Sky Realm beast.”

A flood of notifications filled Lin Fan’s mind, but he quickly shut them off. This wasn’t the time to focus on such things.

Suddenly, Lin Fan’s expression changed. He vanished into the void in an instant.

“Master Ye, defend the Holy Sect for me. I’ll be back shortly,” Lin Fan said.

“Understood,” Ye Han nodded without hesitation.

Among all in Dongling, only Lin Fan surpassed Ye Han in strength. With her guarding the sect, Lin Fan could leave with peace of mind.
