Chapter 1068: The Battle Begins

Inside the grand hall of Tian Di Sect, the atmosphere was heavy with tension as Han Jun Tian and Tai Qian Tian locked eyes.

Kunlun Divine Sect had arrived with four deputy sect leaders, clearly ready to confront the Tian Di Sect head-on.

Tai Qian Tian’s face was dark with an indescribable fury. “Han Jun Tian, you must give Kunlun Divine Sect an explanation for this.”

Four potential future sect leaders had been slain by that young disciple from Tian Di Sect, a direct provocation that had enraged Tai Qian Tian beyond measure.

The deputy sect leaders of Tian Di Sect, sitting silently, were equally shaken. That young disciple was truly ruthless, killing four potential sect leaders from Kunlun in succession. It was as if he was courting disaster.

Yet, for reasons unknown, they felt a strange sense of satisfaction, as if a long-held grudge had finally been avenged. Still, the current situation was complicated.

No one had expected the sect leader of Kunlun Divine Sect himself to show up like this. And judging by his demeanor, this matter wouldn’t be resolved easily.

“Elder Brother Tai, we had no knowledge of this, and we haven’t seen him in quite some time,” Han Jun Tian said helplessly.

He hadn’t expected that young disciple to be so bold and capable. But it was also sheer luck. If this had happened in an ordinary sect, Tai Qian Tian’s arrival would have terrified them into handing the culprit over immediately.

But this was Tian Di Sect, a sect that feared no other.

In fact, Han Jun Tian wanted to shout out loud—good job.

Han Jun Tian had to admit that Kunlun Divine Sect had always held an edge over Tian Di Sect, especially over the past century, as Kunlun’s overall strength was slightly superior.

Of course, the gap was only at the middle level, while the top-tier martial power between the two sects was evenly matched.

“Han Jun Tian, I hope you take this matter seriously,” Tai Qian Tian said sternly, his expression grave. “Our sect’s Supreme Elder is already watching. If you refuse to provide an explanation, then you must bear the consequences.”

Han Jun Tian’s expression hardened. “Tai Qian Tian, what exactly are you implying?”

Tai Qian Tian swept his sleeve angrily, clearly furious. “You know full well what I mean. Four of our sect’s potential future leaders were slain by your disciple. This has caused massive repercussions for Kunlun Divine Sect. Of course, you Han Jun Tian may sleep soundly, but you can protect them for now, not forever. If one day, the corpses of a few Tian Di Sect candidates float across the Infinite Continent, don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

Hearing this, Han Jun Tian exploded. “Are you threatening war?”

Tai Qian Tian didn’t back down. “If war is what it takes, then so be it. Do you think Kunlun Divine Sect fears your Tian Di Sect? No matter what, if Tian Di Sect refuses to give an explanation, Kunlun Divine Sect will never let this go. Hand over that brat, and we can pretend this never happened.”

“Impossible. You’re dreaming,” Han Jun Tian immediately refused without hesitation. “Tai Qian Tian, don’t push too far. This is a matter between juniors. You, as a sect leader, dare to intervene? If our disciples were slain by yours, I Han Jun Tian would have no complaints. That would be their fate. But for you to personally get involved, where is your dignity?”

Tai Qian Tian stood up abruptly. “Han Jun Tian, I’m not here to argue with you. I’m simply here to warn you—keep a tight leash on your disciples, or else don’t blame others if they die outside.”

Han Jun Tian rose as well, his eyes blazing with anger. “Tai Qian Tian, how dare you…”

“Hehe, what am I afraid of?” Tai Qian Tian said coldly. “Your disciple has already committed a grave crime by slaying four of our sect’s potential leaders. If you insist on shielding him, then be prepared for the consequences.”

Han Jun Tian’s eyes flashed with fury. “So you truly wish to provoke a war?”

Tai Qian Tian’s gaze was sharp and merciless. “Remember this—Kunlun Divine Sect will not tolerate humiliation. Since you refuse to hand him over, then prepare for Kunlun’s wrath.”

One of the Tian Di Sect’s deputy leaders frowned and whispered through sound transmission, “Sect Leader, is it really worth it to risk a conflict with Kunlun Divine Sect over one disciple? Perhaps we should hand him over.”

Han Jun Tian shot him a glare, and the deputy leader immediately lowered his head. He knew the sect leader would never hand the disciple over, but continuing down this path would bring no benefit either.

Sacrificing other disciples for the sake of one was clearly unwise.

Such a situation was extremely rare. Across the Infinite Continent, never before had a sect’s disciple gone so far as to target only Kunlun Divine Sect’s potential sect leaders, killing four of them. How could Kunlun possibly tolerate such an insult?

Han Jun Tian swept his sleeve and said coldly, “Fine then. If that’s how it is, let it come. It’s been a thousand years since Tian Di Sect last fought seriously. Perhaps many have already forgotten our name among the Nine Sects. Issue the order—starting today, any Tian Di disciple encountering a Kunlun disciple shall kill on sight…”

The usually gentle-looking Han Jun Tian suddenly turned severe, his voice brimming with boundless killing intent.

“Tai Qian Tian, a thousand years ago, I Han Jun Tian feared no one, and I still fear no one’s threats today. These thousand years as sect leader may have dulled my edges, but you must remember—I am no man who fears trouble.”

“You…” Tai Qian Tian was momentarily stunned, clearly not expecting Han Jun Tian to say such words.

Tai Qian Tian and Han Jun Tian were from the same generation. Back then, both were outstanding prodigies of their time, just like the current sect leader candidates.

Back then, Han Jun Tian had been unmatched in authority and strength, dominating all rivals and ascending to the sect leader throne.

After becoming sect leader, Han Jun Tian felt the weight of responsibility and could no longer afford to be reckless. He had to maintain stability and handle everything carefully.

That was why he had remained calm when Tai Qian Tian came demanding justice. But now, he had truly lost his temper.

Han Jun Tian stared at Tai Qian Tian, his aura sharp and piercing. “Tai Qian Tian, remember this—back then, I stood above you. Even after a thousand years, I still won’t allow you to act so brazenly here today. I won’t stop you today, but remember—keep your disciples in line, or they might die without even knowing why.”

Bang!

Tai Qian Tian was furious, smashing the table with one palm. “Han Jun Tian, you truly want war?”

“Hahaha…” Han Jun Tian burst into laughter. Then, with a sweep of his sleeve, he ordered, “Show him the door…”

He didn’t answer Tai Qian Tian’s question. The matter had already escalated to this point—then so be it.

As if he would ever back down?
