Chapter 496: Bring the Gun

The yin energy inside the warehouse was extremely intense, something Shui Miao had sensed long ago.

As time passed and the Zi period approached, a large amount of yin energy began rising from underground, making the situation even more severe.

The reason Shui Miao said this was simply to get everyone to leave.

It would be best not to disturb the thousand-year-old female ghost before fully understanding the situation.

“You all should leave first—for your own safety,” Shui Miao said calmly, glancing at the group.

Though very young, Shui Miao displayed a composure far beyond his years.

Everyone looked at Shui Miao.

Suddenly, Xiao Nan chuckled, “Young man, we’ve all been working in archaeology for decades…”

Shui Miao coldly interrupted, “Even if you’ve done archaeology for eight lifetimes, it won’t help this time. The situation is different now. This is a thousand-year-old bronze coffin, perfectly preserved, and the yin and sha energy inside is beyond your imagination. If you don’t believe me, close your eyes, calm your mind, and swallow hard. Then check what kind of feeling you get in your throat.”

Everyone was stunned.

“Uncle, Miss Han Ya, let’s go outside.”

Shui Miao said to Director Zhang and Zhang Hanya, then immediately turned to leave.

“Okay!”

Zhang Hanya obediently followed.

Director Zhang hesitated slightly, then walked out behind them.

Once outside, a wave of fresh, warm air greeted them, making Shui Miao feel very comfortable.

The more noticeable the contrast, the heavier the yin energy inside the warehouse must be.

It was nearly eleven o’clock. Shui Miao checked the time on his phone. Before Director Zhang could speak, Shui Miao immediately said, “Uncle, quickly get everyone to move farther away from the warehouse. When I entered earlier, I carefully observed and noticed the yin energy inside is intensifying exponentially.”

“Wait, Shui Miao, you can’t just say things like that without evidence.”

Director Zhang felt Shui Miao’s words were somewhat hard to believe.

Shui Miao frowned slightly and said, “I have a special sensitivity to the yin and yang five elements and understand some Feng Shui. Please believe me. Based on how quickly the yin energy from this bronze coffin is increasing, something major will definitely happen tonight, and everyone will be in danger.”

“You mean those villagers?”

The SWAT team leader approached.

Shui Miao shook his head. “It’s the yin and sha energy. The human body contains yang energy, and when yang combines with mental energy, it becomes vital energy. Now, as the yin and sha energy in the warehouse grows stronger, the yang energy inside people will be counteracted, causing their vital energy to weaken. Once vital energy drops to a certain level, people will start seeing things they normally wouldn’t, and even be controlled by those things.”

“Things you can’t see—you mean ghosts?”

The SWAT leader smirked.

Shui Miao shook his head coldly again. “There’s nothing funny about this. Ghosts do exist.”

“Haha!”

The SWAT leader suddenly laughed, then turned to Director Zhang and whispered, “Bro, is he even a cop?”

“Uh… hehe…”

Director Zhang awkwardly chuckled. He never expected Shui Miao to sound so mystical and superstitious. Fortunately, the SWAT leader was a close friend; otherwise, this could have become a serious problem.

“Ahh! Blood! Blood!”

Suddenly, screams erupted from inside the warehouse. “There’s blood—it’s bleeding…”

It was Feng An shouting.

Upon hearing this, the SWAT leader and Director Zhang were about to enter the warehouse when Shui Miao sighed bitterly and said, “Well, speak of the devil. These archaeologists really know nothing about yin and yang.”

The SWAT leader hesitated briefly, then rushed into the warehouse with two men.

Director Zhang also ran in.

Zhang Hanya, however, hid behind Shui Miao, gripping his arm tightly while peeking fearfully yet curiously through the warehouse doors…

Sure enough, just as Shui Miao had predicted, Feng An’s yang energy had weakened to the extreme due to the invasion of yin energy. Suddenly, he saw blood spraying from the bronze coffin!

Initially, everyone was shocked.

But soon, Professor Ma also saw the blood and began backing away in terror.

As Xiao Nan was puzzled, he suddenly saw the coffin move slightly!

In the eyes of Feng Shui master Cai Enkang, however, the coffin remained unchanged—no blood, no movement. Observing everyone’s reactions, he followed Shui Miao’s advice and swallowed hard. Instantly, a sharp pain shot through his throat, causing him to murmur in astonishment, “Who exactly is this young officer? He’s actually more skilled than me!?”

“Ancestors have descended! Oh ancestors!”

Taking the opportunity, Zhang Shanren knelt and began kowtowing repeatedly.

“Everyone, get out! It’s not ghosts, it’s just the yin energy being too strong and yang too weak. Going outside to breathe fresh air will help.”

Cai Enkang hurriedly helped up Feng An and pulled him outside.

Director Zhang and others also rushed to drag everyone out.

Unfortunately, Zhang Shanren kept shouting and causing chaos, drawing the attention of many villagers who quickly gathered. Because of their weakened yang energy, Feng An and others began seeing many impure things, going into a frenzy that made the situation increasingly chaotic.

At this point, the SWAT leader finally began to somewhat believe Shui Miao’s words.

Director Zhang also came to ask for Shui Miao’s help.

Shui Miao let out a cold, resentful laugh. “Blind arrogance comes at a price. None of you believed me at first, and now we’ve missed the last chance. I don’t have magical powers either. I can’t stop wandering ghosts from possessing them. If you really want to save them, then ask this master to help.”

Shui Miao pointed toward Cai Enkang nearby.

Cai Enkang was a Feng Shui master. Among those present, he was the only one still normal; nearly everyone else had been possessed by impurities. Even the old man Zhang Shanren was rolling on the ground, kicking his legs wildly, clearly possessed.

Cai Enkang was momentarily stunned, then quickly waved his hands. “No, no, I don’t have magical powers either. I only understand the principles of Yi Jing and Feng Shui. I definitely don’t know how to exorcise ghosts.”

“Then why haven’t you been possessed? Do you have any protective items on you?”

Shui Miao directly asked.

“I do! I do! I have a jade gourd on me—it’s a family heirloom!”

Cai Enkang quickly unbuttoned his shirt, revealing a light green jade gourd hanging from his neck.

“This is troublesome!”

Shui Miao turned around and saw hundreds of agitated villagers, armed with sticks and bricks, surrounding them. He sighed, “It seems tonight’s disaster is unavoidable unless…”

“Unless what?”

Cai Enkang, the SWAT leader, and Director Zhang almost simultaneously asked.

“Bring out the guns!”

Shui Miao extended his hand toward the SWAT leader, asking for a weapon.

“What? You… what are you planning to do?”

The SWAT leader was shocked. Handing over a gun to a civilian was a serious violation!

“If you don’t use guns to suppress them, do you really think they’ll back down?” Shui Miao frowned. “Don’t hesitate. If you won’t give me the gun, then shoot a few meters in front of them to scare them. Just don’t actually hit anyone. Then apprehend the main instigators who step forward.”

Shui Miao, assessing the situation, proposed decisive measures to deal with this special crowd.
