Chapter 502: All Wrong

The Earth Rabbit touched the scars from his burns, gritted his teeth, and reached out to unlock the door before slowly pushing it open.

But the next second, the cold smirk on his face froze in place.

**”The Zodiac’s turn is over. Now, it’s the Participants’ turn to act.”**

Chen Junnan’s long-suppressed laughter finally burst out. Even with the weakest human hearing, it was clear that Room **Sixteen** had not been opened. This high-stakes gamble had followed Old Qi’s favorite strategy—who knew a tiny lie could hold up all the way to the end?

**”Finally, you motherfucker fell for it…”**

Chen Junnan pushed the door open and led everyone inside.

This was the game’s endpoint—**Room Sixteen**.

Not far away, two bright red “Eight Immortals” couplets hung on the door, and beneath them was a ventilation shaft labeled **”Show Your Powers.”**

**”Damn, Big Bro Rabbit, you’re something else. Enjoying yourself in Room Thirteen?”** Chen Junnan took various **”magic artifacts”** from the group and tossed them all into the ventilation shaft. **”So when you said you’d get lost at the start, you weren’t lying to us?”**

At that moment, accompanied by Jiang Shi’s scream, the others pulled off his head, retrieving the final artifact—the **Iron Crutch**—and handed it to Chen Junnan.

The Earth Rabbit’s ears twitched, catching every word clearly. A look of shock spread across his face.

He frantically scanned **Room Thirteen**, completely baffled.

He had avoided every trap, seen through all their schemes—so why was he still in **Room Thirteen**?

**Room Thirteen** and **Room Sixteen** were the far left and right corners of the board, worlds apart.

**When had he lost his way?**

**Bzzzt—**

Some device in the ventilation shaft began scanning the artifacts. Within seconds, the two doors **clicked** open, letting in the stench of the outside air, mingling with the rot inside.

At the same time, the broadcast crackled to life:

**”Participants have opened the escape door. Zodiac, respond immediately.”**

**”Oh?”** Chen Junnan sneered. **”Guess the heartless little rabbit’s got tricks up his sleeve, huh? Even gets a reminder?”**

The cold broadcast felt like a mocking jab, twisting the Earth Rabbit’s expression into something ugly.

Even with two extra turns, he’d never make it to **Room Sixteen** in time.

He let out a bitter laugh, his massive body suddenly giving out as he **thudded** to the ground.

**What the hell just happened?**

He’d actually started using his brain—stopped relying on his brute strength. And yet, he still lost.

**”So tired…”** The Earth Rabbit leaned back, lying flat with a strange calm. **”Haven’t felt this exhausted in ages… Can’t fight, can’t outsmart them… Nothing left, hahaha.”**

He coughed, running a hand over his wounds, then looked up.

**”I’m done. I surrender.”**

The ceiling speakers crackled again—this time longer than ever. After twenty seconds of static, a cold voice echoed overhead:

**”Zodiac has surrendered. Participants win.”**

The moment the words ended, every door in the facility swung open. The broadcast fizzed out into silence.

Chen Junnan turned and, through the open doors, saw the Earth Rabbit lounging in **Room Thirteen**, utterly spent.

**”Hey, Big Bro Rabbit, we’re heading out. You good?”** Chen Junnan called.

The Earth Rabbit turned his head, revealing the brutal aftermath of his fight with Song Qi—his torso, legs, face, and ears streaked with blood and burns, as if he’d walked through fire.

Hearing Chen Junnan, he stared blankly before inhaling deeply and staggering to his feet, lumbering toward **Room Sixteen**.

**”Dumbass leader…”** Jiang Shi, clutching his own head, stepped forward uneasily. **”I don’t think he’s given up. You guys should go. ‘Evil meets its end, justice prevails’—I can hold him again.”**

**”Enough with the poetry, kid. Relax.”** Chen Junnan patted his shoulder, then sighed. **”Almost forgot you’re a headless wonder.”**

**”You—!”** Jiang Shi wanted to be angry, but couldn’t pinpoint why. **”…What even is a ‘headless wonder’?”**

**”Forget it.”** Chen Junnan waved him off. **”Point is, that rabbit can’t touch us now.”**

**”Huh? Why?”**

**”You guys don’t play often, so you might not know—Zodiacs only kill during the game. Now that it’s over, he can’t attack.”** Chen Junnan grinned. **”We won. Chill.”**

The Earth Rabbit loomed closer, ducking slightly under doorframes due to his height and upright ears.

**”Damn, Big Bro Rabbit, still kicking, huh? Bet you’ll live till you die.”**

Ignoring the jab, the Earth Rabbit stared intently. **”What trick did you pull? How did you mess with my sense of direction?”**

Chen Junnan smirked. **”Wanna take a guess? I wanna see how much I learned from Old Qi.”**

**”Old Qi…?”**

**”A real saint.”** Chen Junnan said without hesitation. **”Just happened to have a talent for lying, so I picked up a thing or two.”**

**”Lying…”** The Earth Rabbit nodded, deep in thought. **”Then I get it. Your strategy was to whisper in my ear after my fight with Song Qi, then deliberately write ‘Absolute Silence’ in Room Ten—which I hadn’t even passed—tricking me into choosing the opposite path. That’s when you fooled me. While I headed to Room Thirteen, you led the rest to Room Sixteen. By the time I realized, it was too late—we were going opposite ways. Right?”**

Chen Junnan blinked slowly.

**”The fuck are you even yapping about? Not a single word of that was right.”**
