As soon as Han Yimo finished speaking, everyone felt the entire room tremble slightly.
“What…?” Chu Tianqiu frowned at him. “What do you mean, ‘can’t survive without Qi Xia’?”
“You side characters have already been abandoned by the ‘Savior’…” Han Yimo said, his voice shaking. “And yet you’re still shamelessly planning for the future…? No ‘side character’ in any novel has ever succeeded…!”
“Side characters…?”
Chu Tianqiu and Yan Zhichun both froze, convinced the man before them had lost his mind. They were both renowned figures in the “Land of the End”—how could they be mere “side characters” to someone else?
“What do we do… What do we do?!” Han Yimo muttered nervously. “Which part of the plot is this even…?”
Dr. Zhao turned and patted Han Yimo on the shoulder. “Brother… calm down. It’s not as bad as you think, is it?”
“Not bad?!” Han Yimo shouted. “Things are already a disaster!! This ‘protagonist’ has fucking lost the ‘Savior’!!”
No one could follow Han Yimo’s train of thought, leaving them staring at him in stunned silence.
“Oh god…” Han Yimo crouched down, grabbing his own hair as the entire school building trembled again. “What the hell am I supposed to do now…? Who’s going to protect me?!”
Yun Yao sensed danger from the man and shielded Tiantian behind her, eyeing him warily. “Why don’t you try protecting yourself?”
“How can I protect myself?! What if I face something impossible to overcome?!” Han Yimo looked up, his expression wild. “What if… just like the real world… an earthquake hits here too?!”
The moment he said it, the room began shaking violently.
“W-Wait a second…”
Chu Tianqiu’s instincts screamed that something was wrong. Was this man also a “Resonator”? Why was there another person with unheard-of abilities?
Could he really shake the earth?
“If this place gets hit by the same kind of earthquake as outside…” Han Yimo muttered, still trembling. “If the walls crack… if the ceiling collapses…”
Before he could finish, tiny fissures spread across the walls under the faint tremors, and dust rained from the ceiling.
Kim Woon sensed the danger and instantly appeared before Han Yimo, slamming him to the ground.
“Hey! Enough!” He grabbed Han Yimo by the collar and shouted, “What the hell is your ability? How are you doing this?!”
“Damn it…” Han Yimo flinched in shock. “You thug… A group of bullies cornering a girl—that’s such a cliché in novels… How can a ‘thug’ grab the ‘protagonist’ by the collar?!”
“What…?”
A distant howling wind suddenly rose, as if something was hurtling toward them at terrifying speed.
Dr. Zhao opened his mouth to speak, but several white, gleaming objects clattered to the ground in front of him.
He blinked in confusion—scattered at his feet were small chunks of silver.
At the same time, Yun Yao, Tiantian, Aunt Tong, Old Lü, and Li Xiangling all found silver pieces dropping before them.
The fragments of silver fell like hail, clattering across the floor.
**CRACK!**
A sharp sound shattered the air as something black smashed through the window, hovering ominously above them, radiating cold energy.
At a glance, it was unmistakable—a massive, pitch-black greatsword, floating like a venomous serpent in the air, its tip aimed at the people below.
“Those judged ‘good’ shall be awarded one tael and seven mace of silver… Those judged ‘evil’… shall be impaled through the dantian by ‘Seven Black.'” Han Yimo sneered. “Let’s see… who’s more ‘evil’—you or me?”
A chill ran down Kim Woon’s spine. He immediately released Han Yimo and cautiously retreated a few steps.
“Seven Black…?”
The hovering sword rotated its tip, alternating between Han Yimo and Kim Woon as if genuinely deliberating whom to strike.
After a moment, it locked onto Kim Woon—then, with a horrifying whistle, it shot toward his abdomen faster than anyone could react.
Kim Woon clenched his eyes shut, vanishing just before the blade could pierce him.
The black sword didn’t stop. It slashed through the floor, sending desks and chairs flying as people scrambled for cover. Old Lü shielded Aunt Tong in a corner, while Yun Yao pulled Tiantian behind her.
Whatever this attack was, it was terrifying.
One man wielded a flying sword, while the other could vanish at will—this was a battle between superhuman abilities unfolding before their eyes. Helpless, they could only dodge.
The greatsword demolished half the furniture before turning midair, emitting a dragon-like roar of frustration, then locking onto Kim Woon again.
“Hey…” Yun Yao sensed something was off. If this massive sword kept flying around the room, no one would survive. “Han Yimo, calm down. Are you trying to kill everyone here?”
Han Yimo turned to her with a bitter smile. “You think I actually control that sword…?”
“What…?”
“If you didn’t receive silver, run. Once Kim Woon dies, you’re next.” Han Yimo sighed. “Even I won’t escape.”
“You can’t control it at all?!”
“Exactly.” Han Yimo nodded. “It’ll keep slaughtering the wicked—none of us can escape.”
As soon as he finished, Seven Black Sword accelerated again, shooting toward Kim Woon like a thrown dagger. Kim Woon shut his eyes and reappeared on the other side of the room.
Yun Yao hesitated, then scanned the room—was there anyone whose “Resonance” could counter this sword?
Chu Tianqiu stood motionless at the center, a slow smirk forming on his lips.
“As expected… only a ‘god’ could perform such feats. This is perfect…”
Seven Black Sword grazed past Chu Tianqiu several times, its immense force making his clothes whip violently. He turned his head slightly and said, “Yun Yao, leave. Take Li Xiangling and go.”
Yun Yao tensed. “Seriously?”
“Seriously.” Chu Tianqiu nodded. “Kim Woon is trapped—I can’t hold you anymore. Go.”
His expression was strange, as if he had given up on something… or finally understood something.
“Xiao Li, Tiantian, let’s go.” Yun Yao said. “I don’t want to stay here a second longer.”
“Okay.” The two nodded, edging along the wall before bolting out of the classroom.
Inside, Seven Black Sword still flew relentlessly, targeting only Kim Woon. Fortunately, the sword’s bulk made it somewhat unwieldy, allowing Kim Woon to barely evade—though his movements grew more strained as he tried to prevent collateral damage.
“Dr. Zhao.” Chu Tianqiu suddenly called out. “Do it. I’ll make you vice-leader of ‘Paradise Entrance.'”
“Vice-leader…?” Dr. Zhao paused.
“That’s right. Whatever you want, I’ll provide it.” Chu Tianqiu nodded. “From now on, both of you work under me.”
“Is that so…?”
Dr. Zhao considered this, then frowned slightly—and the airborne Seven Black Sword instantly dissolved into a shower of black sand, scattering across the floor.
Han Yimo gaped in shock before turning to Dr. Zhao.
Why did this man have the power to destroy Seven Black Sword?
Why did everyone have hidden identities?
“…What part of the plot is this, exactly?”
