Chapter 330: I’ll Curse You to Death

The dust settled, and Chen Junnan peeked out. The old scoundrel Earth Serpent had actually managed to prop up the iron ball again.

“Impressive, you old bastard.”

Suppressing the pain from his injuries, Chen Junnan leaped forward, dodging several spikes before landing atop the iron ball.

Earth Serpent immediately felt the weight in his hands grow heavier.

“What… what have you done?” He couldn’t understand why the iron ball was descending once more.

“Don’t worry, old man. Just keep holding it up while we prepare to kill you.”

“Kill me…?” Earth Serpent gritted his teeth. “Don’t you get it, kid? This thing can’t kill me!!”

“Oh really?” Chen Junnan stood up and bounced lightly on the massive iron ball. “As far as I recall, this game has no time limit, right? So I’ll just keep jumping here like it’s a trampoline and see how long your old arms and legs can last.”

“Damn you…” Earth Serpent glanced at the situation. “You might not know this… but I still have a trump card. Even if you keep bouncing, I absolutely won’t die!!”

“A trump card, huh? Show me.” Chen Junnan stomped down on the iron ball again. “Let me see what other hidden talents you’ve got.”

Earth Serpent’s arms were beginning to ache.

For an Earth-level player, holding up the massive iron ball for a short while wasn’t difficult. But if he had to keep it raised indefinitely, he’d eventually collapse from exhaustion.

Earth Serpent waited quietly for a moment, sensing something was off. To ensure participants were killed without fail, he always maintained the equipment meticulously. So why hadn’t the iron ball risen this time?

With his limited field of vision, he had no idea the chains securing the iron ball had already snapped.

“Damn it… what trick did you pull?” After a moment of thought, Earth Serpent finally looked toward the central display screen.

Chen Junnan let out an angry laugh. “We fucking bribed Xuanwu, and now we’re teaming up to kill you!”

“What…?! I won’t die… this iron ball can never kill me…”

“Why the hell not?!” Chen Junnan shouted. “You old pervert, you’re gonna hold this thing until you drop dead from exhaustion!!”

“Impossible!!”

“How the fuck is it impossible?! You’re clearly about to collapse!” Chen Junnan didn’t give Earth Serpent a second to think, standing atop the ball and screaming insults. “Are you dead yet? Tell me, you bastard, are you dead yet?!”

“I absolutely won’t die!!” Earth Serpent roared, losing all reason. “This iron ball can’t crush me!! I’ll survive!! And once this game ends, it’ll be your turn!!”

“Bullshit!” Chen Junnan bellowed. “How the hell are you gonna survive while holding this thing up?”

“You think I’m just gonna stand here like an idiot and keep holding it?!”

“Not holding it?! Then what, lifting dumbbells instead?! If you’ve got the guts, stay right there! I’ll stand here and curse you to death!” Chen Junnan yelled. “Let’s see if your arms are tougher than my mouth!”

“Dream on!!”

Earth Serpent stretched out a leg and violently kicked the metal pipe beneath the display screen, snapping it clean in two.

“You think I don’t know what you’re planning?!” Earth Serpent sneered. “You want to make me panic… make me unable to answer?! Too naive.”

Chen Junnan frowned, glancing at the broken pipe below. Something felt wrong.

This old pervert was indeed cunning. He’d kicked the pipe in the middle—though it was broken, the wires were still connected, and the screen remained lit.

“So that’s your move?”

Seizing the moment he released his grip, Earth Serpent quickly grabbed the screen, ducked low, and slipped into the space beneath the iron ball.

**CLANG—!!**

A deafening crash echoed as the iron ball slammed into the ground.

Now, Earth Serpent, nearly unscathed, had hidden inside the hollow beneath the ball—like a steel-plated turtle retreating into its shell.

“Hahahaha!” His muffled, distant voice emerged from within the iron ball. “Come and kill me now!! Go on!!”

Seeing this, Chen Junnan exhaled deeply, his expression gradually calming into a sinister grin. “Took you long enough, you bastard. Finally fell for it.”

He turned, grabbed the chain overhead, and mustered all his strength to climb the wall. Taking a deep breath, he shouted, “Everyone!! The game continues!! From now on, any answer will do!!”

The moment he finished yelling, his strength gave out, and he plummeted from the wall, crashing straight into the room beside Earth Serpent.

The impact was like a fish slamming onto a chopping board—blood splattered everywhere.

Groaning in pain, Chen Junnan struggled to his feet, the entire room now painted red with his blood.

“Shame… I can’t rest yet… still more questions to answer.”

Yun Yao, Xu Qian, and Yan Zhichun all heard the thunderous crash and knew Chen Junnan’s plan had succeeded. But what now?

Yan Zhichun was the first to guess his strategy—though it was a bold one. She wasn’t entirely sure if she was right.

This time, Xu Qian was up first. Everyone made their selections.

Zhong Zhen, now completely deaf, could only press “No” every thirty seconds. Meanwhile, Earth Serpent, true to his word, could answer from inside the iron ball. It seemed like a deadlock.

Yet Chen Junnan, sitting weakly on the ground, wore a victorious smile.

The first question ended. Though the chains moved, there was no iron ball above anymore.

Then came the second, the third…

By the sixth question, a line of text appeared on Earth Serpent’s screen:

**”After reading, relay the question via phone to the next person. This question is: Who can kill me?”**

Those few words sent a shiver down Earth Serpent’s spine.

Yes. He’d overlooked one crucial detail.

“Earth Serpent, you old bastard…” Chen Junnan’s lips were losing color, yet he still laughed from the floor. “Hurry the fuck up and call Xu Qian!”

Earth Serpent swallowed hard, then pushed with all his might against the iron ball overhead.

This was bad… really bad.

But how could a fully grounded iron ball be moved so easily? In this cramped space, Earth Serpent couldn’t even straighten his back—how could he possibly lift it?

Ten seconds passed. Earth Serpent was drenched in sweat, his yellowish eyes trembling in the darkness.

“No… no… this isn’t right…”

A fierce gust of wind howled, as if someone had appeared at the door.

With a final burst of strength, Earth Serpent stood, pressing his back against the iron ball. His legs erupted with terrifying force—bones cracked—but he managed only to tilt the ball slightly.

“Earth Serpent, relay the question,” Xuanwu commanded.

“W-Wait… just a moment!!” Earth Serpent screamed. “I’ll… I’ll call right away…”

“Earth Serpent, relay the question immediately.” Xuanwu’s icy voice pierced through the wooden door, chilling Earth Serpent’s sweat-soaked back.

“Damn it… damn it!!” Earth Serpent gnashed his teeth and roared. “You’re just a naked woman… how dare you rush me?!”
