Chapter 1355: “Disintegration”

“Damn it…”

Chen Junnan gritted his teeth and struggled to turn around mid-air, only to find that only Zheng Yingxiong was still clinging to his sleeve.

Everyone else had scattered, each plummeting into the void.

Deafening noises—screams, shattering sounds—filled the air as countless fragments fell alongside them. The entire space felt like it had descended into chaos.

“Old Qiao!!” Chen Junnan shouted into the abyss. “Can you fucking hear me?! Are you here?!”

Only the screams of countless people falling echoed in the void, as if no one could remain calm in this moment.

Even those who had been unconscious or severely injured were jolted awake by the rapid descent.

Before they could even comprehend the situation, they were already hurtling downward with the crowd.

Among them were not just all the “rebels” from this event, but also countless “Zodiacs” and “ants.”

“What the hell is going on?!” Chen Junnan wrapped an arm around Zheng Yingxiong as they fell together. “Where’s that bastard Qi Xia?”

Before anyone could steady themselves, Zheng Yingxiong covered his nose.

“It stinks…” he mumbled, looking up toward the sky. “A huge, terrible stench…”

“What the hell is it this time?” Chen Junnan tightened his grip on the boy. “Don’t be scared, your big bro’s got you!”

“Chen Junnan… the foul ‘Dissolution’ is coming…”

“Wha—” Chen Junnan froze, then glanced at the countless people falling around them. “Foul ‘Dissolution’… Could it be that brat Tianlong…?”

Before he could finish, his arms suddenly grasped at empty air. Looking down, he saw Zheng Yingxiong’s body beginning to disintegrate.

“Shit!! Kid, you—” Chen Junnan was utterly bewildered by the rapid changes unfolding before him. He had experienced “Dissolution” before in various places, but never in this void.

Were they being denied even the right to return to the “Land of Finality”?

Then, his own hands began dissolving into bloody mist, painless yet horrifying.

With his last ounce of strength, he looked up at the sky. Everyone was dissipating, countless specks of blood mist scattering through the air.

What stunned him even more was that the “Earth-level” and “Human-level” Zodiacs were also disintegrating.

What the hell was happening?

Had regaining all their “memories” made even the “Earth-level” and “Human-level” Zodiacs stop seeing themselves as “Zodiacs”?

Were they now… seeing themselves as… human?

……

……

“Chen Junnan!” Zheng Yingxiong called out.

Chen Junnan’s eyes snapped open to find himself still mid-air, clutching the boy.

Zheng Yingxiong’s nose was bleeding, his expression weak.

“Huh?!” Chen Junnan blinked. “Where the hell is this now? Was I dreaming?”

He distinctly remembered being “Dissolved,” yet here he was again, as if nothing had happened.

Everything seemed unchanged—except they were no longer falling.

Countless people began waking up, floating aimlessly in the void, densely packed like stars in the night sky.

“It was terrifying…” Zheng Yingxiong murmured. “First came that foul-smelling ‘Dissolution,’ then an even stronger scent—’Life Unending’… Holy shit…”

“Kid, don’t—ah, whatever, swear if you want. I feel like swearing too.”

Zheng Yingxiong pointed at the lone “door” in the sky. “Chen Junnan, the scents are coming from that ‘door’…”

“What…?” Chen Junnan looked up, utterly baffled by the turn of events. “Kid… what other scents are coming from there?”

“It’s hard to say… It’s too chaotic…” Zheng Yingxiong shook his head. “Everyone carries multiple scents… I can’t distinguish them clearly, but there’s a lot of something called ‘Heavenly Vigor’…”

“Old Qiao…” Chen Junnan clenched his teeth, glaring at the door. He knew the source of the problem had to be inside.

But wasn’t that direction… the rear of the train?

That was the last remaining “door” he hadn’t destroyed—the only one leading back to the “Land of Finality.”

Though he didn’t understand why the orientation had flipped, that door was clearly the “final battlefield.”

And Qiao Jiajin was still there.

But what counted as safe now?

Was drifting in this void safe… or was fighting the twin dragons inside that door safe?

As he pondered, Chen Junnan suddenly noticed more people leaping out.

This time, four at once.

He could vaguely make out the figures of Zhang Shan and Qiao Jiajin, while the other two, slimmer silhouettes, were likely Jin Yuanxun and Zhang Chenze. They had escaped the “final battlefield” into the void.

But where were Chu Tianqiu and Qi Xia?

“Not good…” Zheng Yingxiong covered his nose again, his face twisted in agony. “Chen Junnan! More… another overwhelming scent is spreading… This one… holy fucking hell…”

“Huh? More?!” Chen Junnan stared. “Wait, kid, stop swearing like that!”

The surroundings indeed began shifting strangely. The floating figures started drifting in eerie directions, pulled by some invisible force.

Chen Junnan felt Zheng Yingxiong lifting from his arms, rising toward an unknown destination—no matter how hard he tried to hold on.

He knew they were about to be separated.

“Kid! We don’t know what’s happening yet, but stay alive no matter what!” Chen Junnan yelled. “Run if you have to!”

“Chen Junnan… you be careful too! It’s a bizarre scent!!” Zheng Yingxiong shouted back. “It’s ‘Craft’ disguised as ‘Dreamwalking’!!”

“Wha—”

Before he could react, something flashed through Chen Junnan’s mind—like a scanner extracting his memories. Zheng Yingxiong was instantly yanked away by an unseen force, vanishing into the distance.

Chen Junnan, too, was hurled uncontrollably through the void.

All of this was coming from that “door” in the sky. What the hell was happening inside?

This was a void of nothingness—where were they being taken?

Before he could even begin to guess, a tremendous sound erupted from below, as though something colossal had emerged.

With great effort, he looked down.

A single glance seared into his mind the most breathtakingly dazzling sight he would ever witness.

Countless fragments of bustling, self-contained lands appeared far below, blooming wildly like flowers of every color.

On each fragment, skyscrapers sprouted from the earth, trees grew in jagged clusters.

In the distance, waves crashed and wind howled.

Schools, streets, prisons, malls, office buildings—even farms, mountains, and lakes—manifested on separate patches of land, floating in the void like pieces of a shattered, magnificent tapestry.

Chen Junnan felt as though he was witnessing the birth of a world, watching countless lands bloom like flowers in the abyss.

Within seconds, those fragments expanded and collided, merging with thunderous roars into a vast, boundless expanse.

Struck speechless, Chen Junnan had never imagined he would see an entire world born before his eyes.

The void itself was undergoing cataclysmic change. Even the sky now bore a glowing orb—like a sun—casting light over everything.

Countless people flew in every direction, vanishing from sight in moments.
