Chapter 2382: The Five Devils

Upon seeing the strands of green silk approaching, the Savage King narrowed his fierce eyes, casually raised his spiked club in front of him, took a deep breath, and suddenly opened his mouth to emit an earth-shaking roar.

As the roar erupted, the space before the Savage King distorted and blurred, forming a thick, translucent vacuum barrier. The torrent of green silk struck it silently, sinking into it like mud into the sea, vanishing without a trace.

Han Li, witnessing this, showed a flicker of surprise on his face. With a mere flick of his emerald longsword, it transformed into a massive blade several meters long and slashed through the distant void.

A sharp whistling sound echoed as a sword shadow over a dozen meters long materialized above the Savage King’s head and descended with overwhelming force.

The Savage King snorted coldly and swung his spiked club upward without hesitation.

A chorus of ghostly wails erupted as countless streams of black energy surged from the club, coalescing into a black dragon that soared into the sky.

A deafening explosion!

Before the emerald sword shadow could land, it was torn apart by the clawing black dragon. With another fierce shake of the spiked club, the Savage King sent the dragon roaring toward Han Li.

Han Li remained expressionless as the black dragon charged. A sharp screech erupted from his body as countless emerald flying swords shot out from within him, swirling together before transforming into a massive emerald lotus of swords spanning several acres.

With a mere thought, the lotus petals unfurled gracefully, enveloping the oncoming black dragon. Countless razor-sharp sword lights crisscrossed, slicing the dragon into fragments that burst apart into black mist.

“Hahaha, excellent! Though that was just a test, your strength is indeed formidable. Enough to make this battle truly enjoyable,” the Savage King laughed, unperturbed by the destruction of his black dragon.

Yet, the moment his laughter faded, he raised his spiked club again and began chanting in a low voice.

In an instant, the club erupted with a bloody radiance, transforming into a blood-red banner—its pole made of bone, its surface swirling with crimson mist, exuding an aura of dread.

The Savage King hurled the banner into the sky.

**Boom!**

Black lightning crackled around the banner as the blood mist condensed, releasing five golden skulls. Initially the size of bowls, they swelled to the size of wagon wheels mid-flight, their eyes blazing with bloody flames and mouths spewing pale green crystalline rays.

“This is…” Han Li frowned slightly.

“Kehehe, brat. These are true Yin Demons refined from the Nascent Souls of powerful foes I’ve slain. If you fall into my hands, you might just become my sixth Yin Demon,” the Savage King sneered, pointing at the skulls.

The skulls’ eyes blazed brighter, transforming into six golden demonic entities amidst golden light. Each had purple hair, ghastly green faces, razor-sharp claws, and bodies wreathed in bloody flames, exuding auras no weaker than ordinary Mahayana cultivators.

“Go!”

At the Savage King’s command, the five golden demons shrieked and lunged toward Han Li as streaks of golden light.

“How intriguing. To think you can truly convert lost Nascent Souls into such malevolent fiends—a rare technique indeed. But if you think you’re the only one with allies, you’re gravely mistaken.” Han Li chuckled lightly before flicking his sleeve, releasing a golden streak that expanded mid-flight into a golden figure covered in violet-gold spirit patterns—the Gold Devouring Beetle King.

“Free them. Your powers should suffice, no?” Han Li asked calmly.

The golden figure coldly eyed the charging demons and, without a word, stomped its foot. A storm of invisible sword Qi erupted from its body before it merged into the golden radiance, transforming into a vast golden tempest that surged toward the demons.

The five demons shrieked, and the fiercest among them slashed its claws into the golden light.

**Crack!**

Its fingers and half its arms were instantly shredded by the golden sword Qi, which seemed capable of slicing through anything, rendering the demon’s normally indestructible body utterly vulnerable.

The demon recoiled in shock and vanished into the void.

The remaining four demons spewed black thunderflames, which merged into a black sea that clashed violently with the golden radiance.

At the collision point, black mist and golden light intertwined like two titanic beasts locked in mortal combat.

Suddenly, ten thick sword beams shot forth from the golden radiance, cleaving a massive gap in the black sea and pressing deeper.

But then, the vanished demon reappeared at the breach, its arms fully regenerated. With a vicious grin, it spat out a crimson bone bead.

**Bang!**

The bead deflected the golden sword Qi, which then disintegrated upon contact with its bloody glow. The bead’s corrupting power was astonishing. It spun rapidly, unleashing a torrent of black mist that engulfed the demon and itself.

Now, the golden sword Qi could no longer sever the black mist, nor could the mist overpower the golden radiance. The two forces clashed like tidal waves, locked in a stalemate.

All this unfolded in mere moments.

The Savage King’s pupils contracted upon seeing the golden figure. “What kind of spirit beast is this? Its power is immense… and its aura feels vaguely familiar.”

“Do you really think I’d tell you?” Han Li replied nonchalantly.

“Then I’ll beat it out of you!” the Savage King roared, forming a seal with one hand. His body swelled as black mist billowed behind him, forming a colossal ghostly face spanning several acres. The face opened its maw and spat out a black ribbon that crossed hundreds of meters in an instant, coiling around Han Li.

Han Li remained motionless as a gray barrier—his Magnetic Divine Light, capable of neutralizing elemental forces—materialized before him.

But to his shock, the black ribbon shattered the barrier like porcelain and wrapped around him, binding him into a black cocoon.

**Whoosh!**

Bloody flames erupted over the cocoon, engulfing it in a colossal fireball.

Yet the Savage King wasn’t done. With a sinister laugh, he conjured a foul-smelling, pitch-black battle-axe and swung it at the fireball.

**Screech!**

The axe’s blade struck the fireball’s center with a metallic clang, only to rebound and shatter.

Then, a thunderous roar erupted from within the fireball as six furry arms burst forth, unleashing silver flames that devoured the bloody fire, revealing Han Li—now transformed into a golden-furred, three-headed, six-armed giant ape wreathed in silver flames. His six cold eyes locked onto the Savage King.

The Savage King’s expression darkened, realizing his attacks had failed to harm Han Li.

But then, the ape’s six arms moved in unison, unleashing a storm of golden fist shadows that morphed into glowing orbs mid-flight.

The Savage King roared again, conjuring another vacuum barrier.

This time, the golden orbs detonated upon impact, unleashing devastating shockwaves that shattered the barrier in moments.

With no defense left, the remaining orbs surged toward the Savage King.

Instead of dodging, he raised his battle-axe, which morphed into a massive bone shield. The ghostly face on his back appeared on the shield, its maw gaping wide to unleash an irresistible suction force.

The golden orbs were helplessly drawn into the ghostly mouth, vanishing amidst flashes of light and thunderous booms.
