Chapter 2102: Tianyin Thunder Core

“What kind of reason is this? Fine, even if we assume the spiritual medicine you seek is indeed on me, you should at least mention its main effects and general uses. Otherwise, how would I know which one you’re referring to, given the number of spiritual medicines I carry?” Han Li narrowed his eyes and retorted in a low voice.

“I don’t know its uses or effects either. But one thing is certain—this spiritual medicine was obtained before you entered the Sacred Realm, and it’s undoubtedly a rare treasure in this world. It might not even be something that should exist in the Spirit Realm.” This time, Baohua didn’t resort to mystification. After a brief pause, she spoke earnestly.

“Not something that should exist in the Spirit Realm?” Upon hearing this, Han Li’s expression shifted slightly, immediately recalling the spiritual medicines he had obtained in the Moon Realm.

His reaction naturally didn’t escape Baohua’s notice. The smile on her face deepened, and she lightly clapped her hands, chuckling. “It seems my guess wasn’t wrong. Fellow Daoist Han indeed possesses some rare spiritual medicines. If you’re willing to hand over the one I seek, I can ensure your safe departure from here and guarantee that Fellow Daoist Yuanying won’t trouble you further. Moreover, as an added bonus, I’ll give you someone else. Black Crocodile, bring out that little girl.” The last sentence was directed at the black-armored man beside her.

“Yes, my lord!” The black-armored man bowed and complied, then slapped a pale yellow leather pouch at his waist.

With a loosening of the pouch’s opening, a black mist surged out. In a flash, a beautiful teenage girl appeared in mid-air, unconscious.

At the sight of the girl’s face, Han Li’s pupils contracted slightly.

It was Zhu Guo’er!

“This girl has some connection to you, so I doubt you’d abandon her. Hand over the spiritual medicine I seek, and I’ll return her to you,” the white-robed woman said indifferently.

“She does have ties to me. But since she’s fallen into your hands, I suppose Fellow Daoist Lin, who was with her, has already perished,” Han Li sighed and asked.

“The Body Integration cultivator accompanying her did possess some true spirit bloodline, but he was of no use to me, so naturally, I didn’t spare him,” Baohua admitted frankly.

“Hmph, if I were to fight with my life on the line, neither of you would come out unscathed. But I’m not willing to take such a risk over a mere spiritual medicine. I’ll present a few options for you to see if any match what you seek,” Han Li snorted coldly but ultimately agreed.

“Fellow Daoist Han, this is a wise decision. Black Crocodile, give him the girl first. I trust Brother Han won’t act recklessly,” Baohua chuckled and instructed the black-armored man.

At her command, Black Crocodile grabbed Zhu Guo’er and tossed her toward Han Li.

Han Li’s expression darkened slightly as his sleeve unfurled, releasing a flash of green light that caught the girl effortlessly. After scanning her with his spiritual sense and confirming she was only under a simple restraint with no hidden tricks, he nodded and flicked his sleeve again.

With another flash of green light, the girl vanished into a special treasure.

Then, he began considering which spiritual medicines to present to Baohua.

Since obtaining the spiritual medicines from the Moon Realm, he had been researching their origins and uses. While he had identified a few, most remained a mystery, stored away in his storage bracelet for future opportunities.

The value of these immortal realm spiritual medicines was undeniable, but if he could use one to rid himself of this formidable enemy, he was more than willing.

However, he doubted the ordinary spiritual herbs from the Moon Realm would catch the eye of a Sacred Ancestor. Most likely, he’d have to resort to the rare immortal realm medicines he had acquired at the end. Still, if he could deceive her with lesser ones first, that would be ideal.

With this in mind, Han Li formed a hand seal, causing the dark green sword on his arm to vanish. Then, with a flip of his fingers, a white jade box appeared in his hand, its surface sealed with multicolored talismans. He tossed it toward the white-robed woman.

Baohua’s eyes gleamed as her delicate hand reached out, and the box flew into her grasp. With a light tap of her finger, the talismans fell away silently, and the lid opened on its own.

Inside lay a vibrant green herb, exuding a faint fragrance and glowing with a soft white light.

Baohua’s expression flickered briefly, but after a moment’s thought, she shook her head impassively. A pink glow flashed, resealing the box, and the talismans reappeared as if never removed. The box then flew back to Han Li.

Unfazed, Han Li caught it with his sleeve while producing a pale blue jade vial in his other hand. With a flick of his finger, it shot toward Baohua.

She caught the vial, removed the lid, and scanned it with her spiritual sense before frowning and shaking her head, tossing it back.

Nearby, Yuanying watched the exchange, though he couldn’t hear their conversation. Seeing this, he smirked but made no move. In his mind, a mere Body Integration cultivator couldn’t possibly possess anything that would interest Sacred Ancestors like them.

Han Li presented seven or eight spiritual medicines in succession, none of which Baohua deemed suitable.

The white-robed woman’s expression grew increasingly somber. After rejecting another, she spoke coldly, “The medicines you’ve shown so far aren’t entirely worthless, but they’re far below what I need. If what follows is of the same caliber, there’s no need to continue.”

Han Li hesitated briefly before sighing and producing a milky-white jade box. Unlike the previous ones, its material was superior, and it emitted faint wisps of cold air the moment it appeared.

This time, instead of tossing it, Han Li removed the talisman himself and opened the box.

Baohua, far from angered, smiled slightly at this.

Han Li raised the box and gave it a slight shake.

The cold air intensified as a crystalline five-colored ice block emerged, revealing a vermilion branch inside, bearing two thumb-sized fruits—one gold, one silver, both resembling walnuts.

“Heavenly Tone Thunder Core!” Baohua’s smile vanished, replaced by shock.

Yuanying, who had been sneering, also paled. “Heavenly Tone Thunder Core? You can’t be mistaken! This is something only found in the Upper Realm. How could a mere human cultivator possess such a treasure? Bring it here for me to inspect!”

“Forgive me, Senior Yuanying, but I must decline. Senior Baohua, is this the spiritual medicine you seek?” Han Li ignored the black-robed youth, focusing on Baohua.

He had vaguely heard of the Heavenly Tone Thunder Core in ancient texts but never imagined it referred to this very herb. Excitement stirred within him. Perhaps presenting these unidentified immortal realm medicines to the two Sacred Ancestors wasn’t such a bad idea after all. Knowing their origins would prove invaluable later.

Yuanying’s face darkened with rage, but after a moment’s thought, he suppressed his anger. His gaze, however, fixed intently on the item, no longer dismissive.

“Though I’ve never seen it before, its unique form leaves little doubt—this is the Heavenly Tone Thunder Core. For those cultivating specific techniques, its value rivals the medicine I seek. Unfortunately, it’s not what I need.” Baohua’s expression fluctuated as she studied the ice-encased herb, but she ultimately shook her head.

“Not it?” Han Li mused, then waved his sleeve, returning the medicine to the box before it vanished.

In its place appeared a pale green jade box, which he opened to reveal another five-colored ice block—this one encasing a white jade-like flower the size of a bowl.

Baohua frowned slightly as she examined it. Despite her vast knowledge, she couldn’t identify it, though it radiated an extraordinary aura.

Yuanying, too, wore a puzzled expression, as if recalling something similar but failing to place it.

Seeing their reactions, Han Li stored the flower without a word and produced another box.

He presented five or six more spiritual medicines, but aside from the Heavenly Tone Thunder Core, neither Baohua nor Yuanying could identify them.

Han Li felt both relief and faint disappointment.

But when he revealed the next item—a five-colored ice block containing a pale silver herb—both Baohua and Yuanying gasped in shock.
