Chapter 2094: Xuantian Black Dagger

Whether it was the golden dragon of the Long Family Patriarch or the battle armor of the feathered maiden, both were life-saving measures that could ignore the suppression of the demonic hand and be activated with a single divine thought. Their profound mysteries were far beyond the reach of ordinary supernatural powers and treasures.

The golden dragon raised its head, its entire body radiating golden light before spewing out a bowl-thick golden beam that struck the colossal demonic hand in a flash, then vanished. After this strike, the golden dragon seemed to have exhausted its spiritual energy, blurring before dissipating entirely.

Meanwhile, the feathered maiden’s five-colored battle armor shimmered with crystalline light, abruptly condensing a massive sword shadow dozens of feet long above her head. The translucent sword shadow flashed once before transforming into a five-colored ribbon that also slashed at the towering demonic hand.

A thunderous boom echoed!

The pitch-black demonic hand, which had nearly enveloped most of the pond, trembled violently before becoming indistinct. The overwhelming force emanating from it loosened slightly.

Though the force had only weakened by two or three parts and lasted but a moment, the Long Family Patriarch and the feathered maiden were renowned Body Integration cultivators of many years, further enhanced by their true dragon and heavenly phoenix bloodlines. Their abilities far surpassed ordinary peers of their rank, and they naturally wouldn’t let such an opportunity to escape slip by.

Instantly, one of them erupted with countless golden rays, his body swelling several times in size as he transformed into a half-dragon form nearly fifteen feet tall. His two golden-scaled arms smashed fiercely into the ground nearby.

A deafening crash!

The earth itself trembled!

A shockwave exploded outward from the Long Family Patriarch, sweeping violently in all directions. Leveraging the recoil from his arms, he roared and finally broke free from the demonic hand’s crushing force.

With a whoosh, he shot out from the ground like a bolt, appearing motionless in the air dozens of feet away.

The Long Family Patriarch wasn’t foolish enough to flee immediately. He knew all too well that attempting to escape before a Demon Saint Ancestor would only hasten his demise. Thus, after taking a deep breath, he flicked his sleeves and released seven or eight treasures of various designs. Some transformed into dazzling rainbows, others into swirling halos of light, all orbiting him protectively.

Among them, a jade seal the size of a palm and a golden ring the size of a fist shone brilliantly upon release, faintly stirring the surrounding heaven and earth spiritual energy. They seemed to be imitation Profound Heavenly Treasures. Clearly, the Long Family Patriarch had spared no expense in his bid for survival.

The feathered maiden, meanwhile, took a different approach. Her five-colored armor shimmered with radiant light before surging toward her back.

With two soft pops, a pair of massive wings, each several feet long, materialized behind her. These wings were adorned with five-colored feathers and tipped with flickering flames of shifting hues.

With a slight flutter, the flames exploded with a roar, igniting the entire pair of wings in a dazzling display. The wings blazed with light, transforming into a pair of fiery wings in an instant—a truly awe-inspiring sight!

With a cold shout, the feathered maiden flapped her flaming wings violently. A powerful ripple spread, distorting the surrounding space as if it were collapsing, forming a white void centered around her—a hole ten feet in diameter.

In the next moment, her figure blurred before vanishing into the void.

Standing high above, the black-robed youth observed the Long Family Patriarch and the feathered maiden’s maneuvers, his eyes gleaming with delight rather than anger. “Impressive,” he remarked. “No wonder you dared to trespass into the sacred lands of the Demon Realm with such meager cultivation—you’ve inherited some true spirit bloodlines. Tsk tsk, a true dragon and a heavenly phoenix! Among true spirits, these are the most renowned. Your bloodlines shall be mine.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the hovering black dagger flickered twice.

The Long Family Patriarch’s expression changed drastically. He shot backward, his protective treasures ringing loudly as they erupted with blinding halos, enveloping his half-dragon form.

A tearing sound erupted!

The halo of light caved inward before shaking violently, followed by a series of thunderous impacts as if struck by an invisible force. Several treasures within the halo flickered wildly before exploding into motes of light, leaving only the jade seal and golden ring still glowing stubbornly.

The Long Family Patriarch’s face paled. Without hesitation, he formed hand seals and spat out two streams of white vapor, which vanished into the remaining treasures. Their radiance flared, stabilizing them momentarily.

Meanwhile, at the white void, a muffled thud sounded as a black thread flashed into it. The void trembled before splitting cleanly down the middle.

Almost simultaneously, a furious cry rang out from another part of the sky as a terrifying ripple erupted. The black thread reappeared, followed by a burst of five-colored flames.

Within the flames stood the feathered maiden, her fiery wings spread wide. Yet now, her gaze at the black-robed youth was filled with terror, and one of her arms was missing—severed by the black thread that had disrupted her spatial escape.

Had she not sacrificed her arm at the last moment with a substitution technique, she would have met the same fate as the Fallen Immortal Maiden.

She glanced swiftly at the Long Family Patriarch and Bai Qi. The former was pale but composed, though fear flickered deep in his eyes. Bai Qi, however, remained motionless like a wooden puppet, seemingly resigned to his fate.

Despair settled in the feathered maiden’s heart.

Seeing his attacks fail, the black-robed youth snorted disdainfully. He grabbed the black dagger, causing the Long Family Patriarch and the feathered maiden to tense—clearly, his next strike would be far more lethal.

With a sinister grin, the youth raised the dagger. Ancient silver runes shimmered on its surface before a black beam shot skyward, vanishing into the clouds.

A thunderclap boomed overhead!

The azure sky above the pond darkened as a black hole materialized. A bone-chilling wind howled as dense demonic energy surged forth, coalescing into hundreds of fist-sized black runes.

The youth pointed upward, and the runes swirled before plummeting like black meteors into the dagger. The half-foot-long blade hummed as it expanded rapidly, transforming into a ten-foot-long black greatsword.

Gripping the hilt, the youth coldly uttered, “Slash.”

The greatsword descended, unleashing a crescent-shaped black light dozens of feet long.

The Long Family Patriarch and the feathered maiden braced for a direct assault, but the black light abruptly veered—not toward them, but toward the black demonic flames that had engulfed Han Li.

The flames had remained undisturbed since swallowing Han Li, showing no signs of weakening. Yet now, the youth’s attack targeted them without warning.

“Did you truly think such paltry concealment could fool me?” the youth sneered. “Among those who trespassed here, your power is the greatest. Allow me to send you on your way first.”

The black crescent twisted, splitting into countless thin black threads that vanished into the void. Moments later, they reappeared around the demonic flames, weaving into a shrinking net.

“Seal!” Han Li’s voice boomed from within the flames.

A purple light shot out, forming a large “seal” character before exploding. The resulting ripple momentarily froze the shrinking net, creating gaps.

Seizing the opportunity, a green-white thread of lightning shot through the opening, reappearing between the Long Family Patriarch and the feathered maiden.

Clad in crackling golden lightning, with thunderous wings on his back, Han Li stood firm, his gaze locked onto the black-robed youth.
