Several “Han Li” figures flickered and simultaneously shot off in all directions.
“Hmph, such petty tricks dare to be flaunted before me!” One of the Blood Light avatars darkened his expression and snorted coldly.
With a single-handed seal, a gray light flashed behind him, and a massive, shadowy demonic figure emerged. The figure had twin horns on its head and several enormous tentacles wildly thrashing behind it. After letting out a bone-chilling roar, a bloody light suddenly flashed across its chest, revealing a massive vertical eye.
The eye occupied nearly half of its chest, its pupil glowing eerily green, sending shivers down anyone’s spine at a mere glance.
The Blood Light avatar shouted, and a beam of green light shot from the giant eye, vanishing into the crystal wall in an instant.
A moment later, the avatar closed his eyes, his face flickering with a green glow.
“Two real, six illusions—one must be his avatar, and the real ones have changed direction, fleeing to either side,” he declared confidently after a pause.
“It seems he’s sensed our intent and is trying to vanish again. Speed up the Qiankun Disk—we can’t let this brat escape!” another Blood Shadow said coldly.
“Naturally, but—”
Another Blood Light avatar nodded but was interrupted when the crystal wall suddenly shifted, displaying Yuansha seated on a stone throne.
“Each of you take one real body. Once the true form is found, notify the other immediately!” she said expressionlessly, cutting straight to the point as soon as the connection was established.
“Agreed. We’ll proceed as you suggest,” one Blood Light avatar replied without hesitation.
Yuansha nodded and waved her sleeve, causing the crystal wall to turn blindingly white.
Almost simultaneously, the stone palace emitted a resonant hum, and countless runes surged forth, forming a massive teleportation array below. The palace, positioned at the array’s center, spun once before vanishing in a flash.
“Let’s move,” one Blood Light avatar said indifferently.
The three formed seals, and their bodies erupted with intense bloody light.
In the next moment, the colossal jade disk emitted a dazzling white radiance, accompanied by a piercing shriek as its speed doubled.
Meanwhile, the “Han Li” figures either soared through the air or rode artifacts, swiftly dispersing from their original location.
Tens of thousands of miles away, a group of over a thousand elite demons had been lying in ambush. Upon receiving an order, they immediately mobilized, splitting into two groups to pursue the fleeing figures.
Neither the demons nor Yuansha and the Blood Light avatars had any interest in revisiting Han Li’s original location.
Half an hour later, beneath the void where the “Han Li” figures had scattered, a seemingly ordinary green rock stood on the ground. Behind it, a flash of purple light appeared, and a silver figure emerged—yet another “Han Li.”
This “Han Li” concealed his aura completely. The moment he appeared, he closed his eyes and released his divine sense, sweeping across thousands of miles to confirm no demonic presence. A hint of relief crossed his face.
Without hesitation, he flipped his palm, producing a thin, skin-like object. He tossed it over himself, rolled on the ground, and instantly transformed into an inconspicuous gray wolf. With a leap, he shot forward as a faint gray streak, still heading toward Tianyuan City.
An hour later, above a dense forest, one “Han Li” streaked through the sky as a green streak, pursued relentlessly by a stone palace.
Ahead, a towering mountain appeared, lush with greenery. The “Han Li” brightened at the sight and dove straight toward it, vanishing mysteriously halfway up the slope.
The stone palace hovered above the peak, slowly rotating as multicolored runes formed a massive five-colored array. A giant, fifty-foot-wide orb of light condensed at its center.
With a cold snort from the palace, the orb detached and plummeted toward the mountaintop.
Upon impact, the orb silently sank into the rock, leaving only a gaping, scorched crater. Moments later, a deafening explosion erupted from within the mountain, sending countless beams of light piercing through its surface. The mountain trembled violently before collapsing into rubble.
At the crater’s center, everything had been vaporized.
The array above unleashed hundreds more beams into the ruins, but aside from tremors, nothing else stirred.
The stone palace descended, stopping just hundreds of feet above the wreckage. Yuansha appeared atop it, scanning the ruins with suspicion.
“He couldn’t have escaped that attack. But if he died so easily, this must’ve been an avatar. Still, there should be remnants…” she murmured, frowning.
She closed her eyes, releasing an immense divine sense to scour every inch of the ruins. Finding nothing, she sighed.
“Perhaps I overthought it.”
Just then, an odd fluctuation came from her. She flicked her sleeve, releasing an ancient mirror that hovered before her. The Blood-robed youth’s face appeared on its surface.
“Yuansha, abandon your chase. That was likely an avatar. The one I pursued slaughtered most of my forces and broke through three blockades—it must be the real Han Li! He’s trapped now, but hidden. I need your help to find him.”
Yuansha’s doubts vanished. “Understood. I’ll join you immediately.”
She recalled the mirror and shot skyward as a white streak, re-entering the stone palace before departing.
Two hours later, in a corner of the ruins, a seemingly ordinary log shimmered with green light, transforming into a green-skinned youth—Han Li’s wood spirit avatar.
The avatar patted its head, releasing a green orb containing a pale, childlike figure. After recovering, the child sighed.
“Master was right. Hiding as wood and stone worked. Now, I’ll lay low and await reunion. May he escape this calamity.”
The child merged back into the avatar, which then took flight toward a predetermined direction.
Meanwhile, over a valley, a hundred elite demons surrounded the massive jade disk, intently watching below.
